[Episode 56]

A bunch of nonsense.

A’Wu wouldn’t do that.

A’Wu will come see me.

She...

She will come see.

I’m already...

right now...

This matter was so sudden. How did this happen?

Who knows?

His Majesty was just fine, how did blood rush to his heart in a moment of anger?

The later emperor just pass away and the current emperor just ascended to the throne.

My Great Cheng...

Greetings, Prime Minister Wen.

Imperial Physician Shen, how is His Majesty’s body?

His Majesty has already awoken. He is fine for now.

It is just that His Majesty sustained a sword injury before that wounded his heart meridian.

Just now, something unknow aggravated him

and triggered his old wounds.

I have already given His Majety medicine.

This time, it was nothing serious.

It is just that, from now on, he must not be aggravated.

Prime Minister Wen, I shall take my leave now.

All right.

His Majesty was aggravated.

What aggravated him?

Replying Prime Minister,

just now, His Majesty met with...

met with Su Jin’er who used to be Princess Consort Yuzhang’s maidservant.

Princess Consort Yuzhang?

Who doesn’t know about

His Majesty’s relationship with Princess Shangyang from back then?

However, in the end, that is all in the past.

His Majesty is now the rule of the world

yet what about that Princess Shangyang? She is now the wife of a criminal official.

How scandalous would it be if this got out?

Didn’t that Su Jin’er defect with Princess Consort Yuzhang?

After she was captured and brought back, what exactly did she say to His Majesty?

Replying Prime Minister,

I do not know the specifics either.

It’s just that His Majesty had been searching for Princess Consort Yuzhang and this Su Jin’er before.

After Su Jin’er came, she did not say much before His Majesty fell ill.

I vaguely heard His Majesty say...

he wants to go with death.

It seems that Princess Consort Yuzhang had committed suicide for love.

- What? - Committed suide for love?

Princess Consort Yuzhang is dead?

How could that be?

Let’s go.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by The Emperor’s Conquests@ Viki.com

Leave.

Your Majesty.

You leave as well.

After some time, everything temporarily settled down.

Princess Consort suddenly said

that she wanted to go to Mount Lianyu to pray to Prince Yuzhang.

I believed her so I went with her.

Unexpectedly, at the edge of the mountain cliff,

she suddenly... jumped off.

No imperial fate...

No orders from parents...

A’Wu,

why did you leave just like that?

You actually love him to this extent.

Then what did our relationship mean to you?

Our relationship as childhood sweetheart since we were ten

still cannot compete with the past few years

of interaction between you and him.

A’Wu,

I fought to seize the throne

and turned myself into the type of person I hate most

so that you would return to my side.

But why did you just leave like that?

Why did you just leave like that?

Then what is the meaning

of this throne?

I will be loyal to you till death.

- Customer, what would you like to eat? - Noodles.

All right. You’re welcome inside. Please go in.

This way, please.

Did you all hear? There is a ballad spreading everywhere right now.

It’s called “Extent of Heaven’s Blessings.”

It tells of the collapse of two emperors.

Customers, t-this...

I run a small business just to make a living.

Let’s not discuss state affairs.

What are you afraid of?

All the children know how to sing this ballad.

That’s right.

That’s true.

Ever since Prince Yuzhang passed away, everyone’s heart is empty.

It’s like our heavenly protector is gone.

Just let those the imperial family be restless.

As for the days ahead...it’ll be difficult.

Quite difficult...

Old man!

- General! - Have you seen this person?

No, no, no.

- Whose horses are these? - They belong to the customers inside.

- What is there to eat? - General, what would you like to eat?

Do you have bear’s paws, salmon and and fragrant osmanthus wine?

General, you are joking. My small business does not have these things—

What’s with the nonsense? Bring whatever is good.

Got it, got it.

- Are the horses outside yours? - Officer, yes, yes.

Take them and scram.

Leave.

Hurry!

Sorry, sorry, sorry.

- Shopkeeper. - Coming.

Serve the food immediately.

General, let’s have the finest food and wine.

Bring a pot of wine here.

Order something good.

Hurry and eat. We still need to continue on our journey.

Let’s eat.

It’s really agonizing.

Say, we’ve searched this Mount Lianyu so many times

yet we haven’t found anything.

The people above even sent us an urgent note via the pigeon carrier to tell us to go back and search again. Darn.

Is there a need to search the cliff and river?

There is news that Princess Consort jumped off a cliff.

There were no wind and waves. This kind of urgent movement is hard to say.

How about when there’s a fire at the gate, the fishes in the moat will suffer too? [T/N : The bystanders will suffer too]

We are like carps who have been implicated.

That means that the current emperor

wants to see Princess Consort Yuzhang in person if she’s alive or see her corpse if she’s dead.

Say, if Princess Consort Yuzhang is really captured,

how will His Majesty punish her?

Punish?

How could His Majesty bear to?

Could it be that you all think that the story

between His Majesty and Princess Consort Yuzhang before she was married is fake?

Even if it were real,

this Princess Consort Yuzhang is no longer the esteemed Princess Shangyang from back then?

Could it be that His Majesty dares to accept the wife of a criminal official?

That’s hard to say. It’s hard for even heroes to pass up on beautiful women.

Come on, let me take a look.

If I had such a beautiful lady by my side, why would I want to rule the world?

That’s right! Exactly!

Come, let’s drink.

Your Highness, Senior Maidservant Xu and A’Yue have come to visit.

- Senior Maidservant Xu? - Prince of Jiangxia. - Prince of Jiangxia.

Hurry and save Princess Consort!

Prince of Jiangxia, this is Jing’er.

This A’Wu is just too bold.

Her Highness was entrusted by the late emperor and empress

so that’s why she took the risk of taking Jing’er away from the capital.

Her Highness has ordered us to ask Your Highness to protect the young prince well.

We must not expose his identity.

I naturally understand that.

But A’Wu shouldn’t go to Lianyu Mountain to look for Xiao Qi at this time.

She took the Little Prince with her. Will Empress Dowager let her off?

Prince of Jiangxia, do you have any news in Her Highness?

With Pang Gui protecting her, Her Highness will surely turn trouble into fortune.

All right. You two have had a hard journey. Rest early.

Remember, you must not expose your own identity.

If anyone asks, just say that you are distant relatives of the Wang clan who came from Langya.

- Yes. - Yes.

Then, what about the young prince?

I plan to have him raised outside the camp.

Does Your Highness have a family you can trust?

There is one.

Early tomorrow morning, I will personally take him there.

Yes, Your Highness.

Slowly.

Don’t worry, I won’t do anything to hurt you.

Covering your eyes is just to give you a surprise.

All right.

After coming back from Great Cheng last time,

I lead others to plant this flower field.

A’Wu,

please accept this sincere gift.

How do I accept it?

As long as you like it, that’s fine.

Do you think I can accept a gift from you?

A’Wu.

Accept the reality that is in front of you.

There is no longer a Prince Yuzhang in this world.

Don’t continue to hold onto hope for a dead person.

Look what’s in front of you now.

Right now, there is someone who treats you well.

There is someone who will protect you for life.

Tell me, how did Prince Yuzhang die?

He was murdered.

Who murdered him?

Naturally, someone from Great Cheng.

He has many enemies in the Imperial Court.

His Majesty, the Empress, Empress Dowager. Who wouldn’t want him to die?

How do you know?

The entire Great Cheng know so, of course, I would know.

So, you listened to rumors?

This is not a rumor.

Did you see it with your own eyes?

I didn’t.

Then you are lying to me.

You are not sure

whether Prince Yuzhang is dead or not at all, right?

A’Wu.

Although this Hulan is no match for the glories of Great Cheng,

it is at least far from the imperial court.

You can nurse your health back in this grassland.

And I

will take care of you and protect you here.

In this lifetime, I won’t let you suffer

the carnage in the Imperial Court again.

I like the sea of flower in front of me.

I also like the mountains, waters, grass, and trees of here.

However, I do not accept your gift.

There is a rumor that Princess Consort Yuzhang jumped off a cliff.

I heard that she went to Ningshuo

but there are others who are saying that she was kidnapped to Hulan.

Hulan?

Prince of Jiangxia, this is...?

I will be frank.

Here in Jiangnan, I have no friends I could trust.

Except you.

I want to leave this kid in your care.

I don’t know if that is convenient or not.

This...

Whose child is this?

Some matters...are difficult to talk about.

It’s better if you don’t ask about it.

Prince Jiangxia...

I am an umarried woman.

Then this kid appears out of nowhere in the house...

If these words spread out...I am afraid it won’t turn out well.

Alright. Then I will directly tell you.

When I was in the capital, I got drunk in Tanhua restaurant,

I had an affair with a singer who gave birth to this illegitimate child.

The child’s mother sent him to me.

If I take him to the camp, rumors will spread.

Therefore I was wondering if you could help me out.

Miss Caiwei, you...

please don’t feel embarrassed.

If it is inconvenient to you...

I will look for someone else to do it.

Leave the kid here!

I knew you would be generous and ready to offer help.

Don’t worry, as for the expenditures, I will regularly send someone to bring you money.

No need!

Although my family is on the verge of decline, I can still afford raising a child.

Miss, you have misunderstood me, I did not look down on your family.

I was just thinking, that-

It’s getting late.

I can’t keep you here anymore. Go back!

I will see you out.

Alright.

I will take leave.

I have found him. The little prince is inside the room.

Family Master, it’s meal time.

Today...I am doing well.

That’s good, Family Master.

Only that...

Only that, what?

I have seen Aunt Xu and A’Yue at the barracks.

Aunt Xu...and A’Yue?

Yes.

And as the Family Master was entering Gu Family’s house,

he as carrying a bamboo basket.

But when he went out, he wasn’t carrying it anymore.

What else have you found out?

Stop crying! It’s alright! Stop!

It’s alright, don’t cry! Don’t cry!

Let’s see who’s coming!

Don’t cry!

The child got hungry!

Aunt, I don’t know what the child should eat. I have made some porridge for him.

Then let’s feed him!

Here.

Don’t cry! Don’t cry!

Don’t cry! Don’t cry!

Here. Open the mouth!

Report! Miss!

Enter!

Miss, Prince Jiangxia sent food and drinks.

You tell him! Even though our Gu family isn’t doing as well as in before,

we still can afford raising a child!

If Prince Jiangxia loses sleep over it, you can give him back the child!

Aunt...

Return!

The child is hungry!

Here, open the mouth!

Have some food!

Caiwei, Prince Jiangxia did something dirty!

And he also let you smooth things over.

This shows that he is not someone worth of trust.

Here.

You...you are also not that young anymore.

You’d better find a good man and get married.

Aunt, please stop talking.

I am well aware of the situation.

What a good child!

Forgive me for disturbing you in the middle of the night.

Oh, it’s Consort Tuo!

You may leave!

Consort Tuo, what matter brings you here?

Tuo Siyu has been frowning a lot lately.

I am really concerned.

I don’t know what difficulties he must be facing.

I want you to help me with a solution.

Tuo Siyu, he has just been overworking lately,

there is nothing serious.

You don’t have to be concerned about it.

Be concerned about your baby.

I am observing today’s celestial phenomena

Hulan will face many problems.

I am just praying for the good fortune of Hulan.

Tuo Siyu, will carry out everything with joy.

May the Heaven help the worthy!

He will be outside any danger after he will recuperate his health.

I see you chanting over these scorpions,

could it be that these small scorpions can decide the good or ill luck of Hulan?

Be careful with these scorpions!

They are hypertoxic! There is no cure for their poison!

Princess Consort, Consort Tuo came to see you!

Consort Tuo?

Older Sister!

Qian’er!

I heard that you were forced to stay here by Helan Zhen.

I specially came here to see you.

I was afraid you wouldn’t get accustomed to Hulan’s cuisine.

So I have specially prepared something for you!

You! Come here!

Place them on the table, let her have some!

Alright.

I still have something! Here are some fur blankets.

I was worried she could not rest well.

I especially prepared some blankets for you.

Go and make the bed for her!

Yes.

How many months are you pregnant?

Five months.

Have a seat!

Sister, in here I am a stranger in a strange land.

Seeing you makes me feel better.

Qian’er is well aware that she was unable ro act properly in the past.

I hope you can forgive Qian’er.

No need to bring up the past events.

Let me take care of the covers.

Sister, I have already made the bed!

Sister, I said I had already made the bed.

Qian’er...you must have heard the news coming from the prince.

To be honest...I heard some rumors...

but I also don’t believe them.

May the Heavens help both of you!

Sister, you don’t have to worry about it!

It is already getting late.

You should rest earlier today.

I will depart. I will come see you tomorrow.

Someone, quickly someone

What are you doing? Who are you? Someone!

Quickly put the sword down! Kill!

Kill!

Taoist Qingyun?

If I didn’t arrive in time, you would have already been poisoned.

It will only take half an hour for you to be unconscious and die.

I didn’t expect that Wang Qian would really use this method to go against you.

It’s too ruthless.

So he hates me this much

Princess Consort, Are you ok?

Ai li ma, How did you find out what happened?

When Imperial Concubine Tuo’s maid was making the bed,

I discovered she was not her usual self and had evil intentions.

Hence, I wanted to do a good deed and told Prince Zhen.

If it weren’t for Prince Zhen, I fear that

you-

Thank you for your warning.

Princess Consort

I didn’t see where I was going and collided with you in the past.

Please forgive me.

Where have I seen you?

Does Princess Consort remember in

that night in the grassland at Ningshuo when the moon has fully risen?

I invited Prince Yuzhang to dance for Prince.

Will you dance with me?

Then, ask if she is willing?

Are you his women?

I would like to invite him to dance. Will you permit this?

I

I cannot

Why?

Because he is my husband

Grassland rules

states that if a man accepts a woman’s invitation to dance, he will be her lover.

What if he has someone in his heart?

Then you have to see,Who is in her heart?

So its you

Why are you in Hulan?

Ai li ma grew up in Ningshuo grassland

Back then, Prince Yuzhang was fearsome.

The soldiers of Hulan dare not harrass him

but ever since news of the murder of Prince Yuzhang spread,

the Hulan tribe had no one to fear again.

They would always come here to plunder.

Many of us were caught and became slaves.

Do you know how Prince Yuzhang was murdered?

Everyone is spreading

and said that Prince Yuzhang was framed by someone.

He was murdered at Lianyu Mountain.

Did you hear who framed him?

Even Helan Zhen has no concrete evidence.

It must be rumors about Great Prince.

This kind of rumor used to spread in Ningshuo.

It must be those who fear Great Prince and have ulterior motives.

I also don’t believe

Younger Brother Zhen, why are you so free today?

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by The Emperor’s Conquests@ Viki.com

Someone didn’t take good care of the extreme poison in his possession

and almost killed my woman. I will make him pay the price for this.

It’s not a coincidence that it’s your subordinate, Fang Shi.

Younger Brother Zhen, this stuff I don’t even know half of it.

I don’t harbor any evil intentions against her.

I’m extremely happy for you that you could find your beloved one.

If this is really true,

I should thank you.

I apologize to you

and would like to give you an advice too.

If anyone else tries to do anything bad to Wang Xuan again,

his fate will end here.

Brother, Don’t worry

Go

His Majesty wants you to kill her. Why can’t I do it for you?

If I succeed, the merit will go to you.

If it fails, then no one would find out

I tell you to not touch Wang Xuan!

But you took actions without my consent.
