[Love in Between]

[Episode 15]

[Imperial Prison]

It’s been a while.

A toast to you with tea

instead of wine.

When I think of it,

twenty years ago,

you led and stationed troops at Tuozhou,

while I prayed for never-ending peace upon

Dasheng Empire

at the Capital City.

The Capital is prosperous now

and Tuozhuo is secured.

There will not be

a flourishing empire without your troops.

You wanted the empire for yourself

instead of a flourishing empire.

You are right.

Now that the empire is mine

so the one in the Imperial Prison waiting for his punishment

is you.

You

lost.

I’ll give you another chance.

[Ai]

Where is he?

I don’t know.

Bring it in.

Someone will die every day

as long as you keep your mouth shut.

But there’re not a lot of people

left at your mansion for me to kill.

I heard that

it’s going to be your daughter tomorrow.

A daughter of Tuozhou

is not afraid of death.

Coincidentally,

your son is in my hands as well.

He’s already dead.

I’ll see how long

you can still keep this up.

This is the best Purple Bamboo Tea.

Don’t waste it.

Master.

The fireworks by the stream are ready.

Master.

Why are you packing?

Time to leave.

Time to leave?

But

we haven’t even seen the fireworks yet.

Master.

What’s wrong?

You don’t look happy.

How about this?

Wait with Jiang Er,

but don’t be late.

Of course.

[Imperial Prison]

Do you have news on the doctor?

Not yet.

Yang Huan is certain that he is Yan Zhi

at the Sword Congress.

He is related to the Painting of Splendid Landscape.

I’m sure he will be back

since Duke Jing An is here.

How is Yang Huan

so certain that the doctor

is Yan Zhi?

Because she saw

Duke Jing An meeting with him with her own eyes at Tuozhou.

So,

he is definitely Yan Zhi.

Why did she still

let him escape successfully

when she was sure that he is Yan Zhi?

You should all be more cautious.

That’s fine.

Send someone to search for him immediately.

Yes.

Your wound is almost healed.

Let’s leave here soon.

Did you know that?

My father abandoned me when I was small.

I was poisoned by Netherworld’s Pull

and my mother died because of me.

Life was meaningless to me.

I only wanted to die.

Until the day

when I met a crazy girl.

She was fierce and cried easily

when she was a child.

But

I found hope

in living because of her.

I was reborn

because of her.

I started to

look for her since that day.

We met again

surprisingly because of the painting.

Fame and fortune are not for me.

I know that’s not what she wanted either.

I want to find a warm

and pleasant place to live with her together

after I treat Su Xuan.

Yun Luo.

Let us live together and forget everything

about the underworld

after this.

They are a matching couple.

That’s right.

Master. Go for it.

Don’t block me.

What?

Don’t you agree?

Or do you

mean to kill me?

No, I don’t.

What do you want in exchange for my life?

Whereabouts of Ceylon Star Leaf

or something else?

What do I mean

to you

actually?

A doctor to save your master?

A disposable tool?

Is it funny to see me

follow you around?

After all this while,

I thought we were close,

we were friends at least.

Surprisingly,

you’re still the cruel Flying Bandit

who seeks nothing but profits.

I’m not.

You’re not?

Don’t you want my life

to exchange for your master’s?

Don’t you want to kill me?

I will leave

if you don’t kill me.

And nothing else can save your master.

He can’t be cured

and he will live like a madman

forever.

Zuo Qing Ci.

Don’t regret it.

What?

Changed your mind?

What’s wrong?

They were fine just now.

What’s wrong?

Master.

Pack up. We leave at once.

But...

Is Miss Jiang Er

coming with us?

Miss Su is not following?

Miss Su.

Doctor Zuo has left.

I’m leaving too.

[Hall of Justice]

[Hall of Justice] Thank you for your help.

I’m here to say goodbye.

You don’t want Ceylon Star Leaf anymore?

Don’t worry.

I’ll definitely find Ceylon Star Leaf in the future.

I’ve found seven of the Eight Taste Medicine.

I believe

I can find the eighth.

You’re Su Xuan’s apprentice indeed,

valuing the bonds of family and friends.

You don’t deserve to be his apprentice if you took an innocent life

to save your master.

Won’t I kill for nothing

if I did take his life?

That boy is deeply in love with you.

He is willing to die for you.

Can you even kill him?

Please tell me the whereabouts of Ceylon Star Leaf.

It grows on a toxic land in the Southwest.

The clan master of The Blood Wings, Rou Chuan has it.

Thank you, Senior.

Don’t you want to know what happened to your master?

Please tell me about it.

Su Xuan,

your master

used to be the disciple of Zhengyang Palace’s master.

He was talented.

They called him the Sword Demon.

Your grand-master Immortal Bei Chen

wished him to take his place as the clan master.

Unfortunately, he got assassinated before he retired.

He was poisoned.

Afterwards,

Jin Xu announced to the underworld

that your master killed Immortal Bei Chen.

He said your master was not qualified

to become the clan master anymore

and needed to execute according to the clan’s regulation.

Su Xuan escaped Zhengyang because of that.

I know your master for a very long time.

He is not someone ungrateful who would kill his master.

Later,

Yong Shan Clan got annihilated.

No one knew who did it.

Jin Xu, Kou Su Bai

and Mu Xiu accused the Seven Warriors of Yun Dang

of Yong Shan Clan’s murderer.

Thus, the Seven Warriors of Yun Dang became The Seven Robbers of Yun Dang.

Your master and I both believed

that the Seven Warriors of Yun Dang weren’t the ones who did such a thing.

We decided to face them at the congress

at Cross Fang Valley.

Unfortunately, we overestimated our ability.

Some people got hurt while some lost their lives.

Miss Su.

Jiang Er, why are you here?

Miss Su.

I sneaked out

after all of you left.

I’ve been waiting for you.

Miss Su.

You must have missed Doctor Zuo.

I didn’t.

Miss Su, don’t be sad.

They just left.

We can still catch them

if you wanted.

It’s fine if he left.

That might be better too.

Who are you?

You don’t have to know.

It’s fine as long as I know who you are.

I’m just a doctor

with an unlucky apprentice.

It’s no use to rob me.

You will be of use to me.

Speak again

and I’ll kill your apprentice.

Master.

You’re not itinerants.

You are with the officials.

We don’t really earn much.

Please spare us, Miss.

You are too humble, Childe Yan.

My lord needs you to aid his cause.

Your father and your sister

who are now in the Imperial Prison will both die

if you don’t agree.

You are wise.

You should know

what to do by the end of this journey.

Don’t regret it.

Yun Luo.

Let us live together and forget everything

in the underworld

after this.

[Tian Du Summit]

What do I mean

to you

A doctor to save your master?

Or am I a disposable tool?

You’re still the cruel Flying Bandit

who seeks nothing but profits.

I’m not.

You’re not?

Don’t you want my life

to exchange for your master’s?

Don’t you want to kill me?

You look ugly.

Let’s make today as your birthday

as a gift for you.

Today?

Right.

Today is Su Yun Luo’s 18th birthday.

Happy birthday.

Master.

Will we

die here?

The moonlight is beautiful.

We’re already at a pinch.

How can you still enjoy the moonlight?

Master.

One. Two. Three.

Four. Five.

One. Two. Three. Four.

The best move

is to act stealthily.

Master.

You’ve learnt the art of dazing.

I didn’t even know when you did it.

That’s normal for you.

If I followed Master’s teachings to survive

in the underworld,

I would be dead for 80 times.

Bring the knife

and untie us.

Master.

Which incense did you use?

Drunken Flick or Nonuple Daze?

I can’t be your master

if you know that.

Master!

Master.

Master.

Where are you going?

To Capital City.

Don’t follow me.

Wait for me at Fangwai Valley.

You’re ditching me again?

No way.

Your issues are mine too.

I’m following you.

Don’t worry. I won’t die.

Wait for me at the valley.

Master.

Miss Su.

Where can we find Doctor Zuo?

I don’t know.

What next?

I owe him an apology.

Who’s there?

Where’s your master?

He

went to Capital City.

All alone?

After we left Wuer Fortress,

we were captured by a few men in black.

We escaped thanks to

my master’s wisdom

when he knocked them out.

What should we do if those men in black

catch up to him?

He can’t win in a fight.

Don’t worry.

He’ll be fine.

Miss Su.

You’ll save my master, right?

Miss Su.

Miss Su.

My master is the nicest man ever.

You must save him.

[Suburb outside Capital City]

Fourth Brother.

Sixth Brother.

Fourth Brother.

You have been exposed.

Be careful out there.

I came here from Yu River.

No one can catch up to me.

Don’t worry.

Any news from your side?

Jin Xu sent Xiu Yu Gu to Haizhou

to ambush you there.

[Seven Robbers of Yun Dang] [Shang Wan]

What did

Old Man Jin Xu want you to do?

He asked me to follow Xiu Yu Gu.

I promised to

depart tomorrow.

Fourth Brother.

Don’t return to Haizhou.

I’ll write a letter

to Wuer Fortress.

Do you know why Old Man Jin Xu asked you to ambush me

at Haizhou?

He suspects you.

I know.

He suspected me for quite some time

but he has no proof of his suspicion.

Let’s not be careless.

I have arrangements for this.

Listen up.

I set a trap in a cave at Haizhou.

When you go in,

I will hit you in front of Xiu Yu Gu

and trap both of you inside

before I escape.

If you follow my plan,

you will be clear of the suspicion.

What do you think?

It’s not bad,

but I’m worried if there’s a flaw

when we carry out the plan.

Listen to me and

go to Wuer Fortress.

Fourth Brother.

I’m the chief of Shan Shui Du Fraction.

Old Man Jin Xu won’t dare to touch me.

That’s exactly the reason why I want

to protect you.

You changed your identity

and have laid dormant for 10 years to become

the chief of Shan Shui Du Fraction.

10 years.

I can’t allow for any mistakes.

All of our brothers’ hope of

getting justice

lies on you, the chief.

Listen to me on this.

Do you remember

when I told you that

besides Shen Man Qing,

there’s also an old slave who went missing

after the end of Yongshan clan.

I finally found

clues of his whereabouts after all these years.

I’m telling...

Fourth Brother.

All these years,

we did our own

investigations separately.

Why do you tell me everything

you know today?

What if something goes wrong?

Everything can go wrong

except for this.

Why are you so stubborn?

Sure.

I’ll investigate my own clues.

See you at Haizhou.

Be careful, Brother.

[Shan Shui Du Fraction]

Prepare some necessities

for a trip.

Haizhou?

Haizhou.

Chief Wen.

How about a game?

You are really

making yourself at home here.

Tell me.

How can I help?

Save someone at the Imperial Prison.

Just name your price.

Imperial Prison?

You really think that Shan Shui Du Fraction

can do everything?

Chief Wen, your chess piece was placed so far away.

It’s even in Wuer Fortress.

Your chess piece was well hidden too.

After ten years,

your chess piece revived unconsciously.

I won’t help

you with this.

I can’t.

The underworld never messes with official matters.

Furthermore, I’m leaving.

I don’t know if I can return alive.

You’re leaving?

Where to?

Haizhou.

[Orders from the Chief] [Head to Haizhou and kill Shang Wan]

It’s tough for you.

I’m fine with it being tough.

I’m already in it.

I have no choice.

Where’s Su Yun Luo?

Why isn’t she with you?

Why would she follow me?

She has something urgent.

Something urgent?

Just tell me if you quarreled.

Why did you say that?

After ten years,

it revived unconsciously.

You’re always there whenever

Duke Jing An’s mansion was in trouble.

I might as well resign as

the chief of Shan Shui Du Fraction

if I can’t figure it out.

You lost.

Yang Ting Guang is here to see Your Majesty.

Your Majesty, please calm down.

Please stand, Grand Tutor.

Thank you.

Your Majesty.

Lu Shou’s reinforcements have reached Tuozhou

to meet with Northern Jing’s army.

As expected.

They sent reinforcements

after Duke Jing An was captured.

Your Majesty.

Northern Jing’s army suffered heavy casualties previously

because of Lu Shou’s tip-off

and his provocation of the Guzi Clan.

Since the army is commanded by Vice General Qin,

if Lu Shou can behave...

He won’t.

Duke Wei Ning will surely let him take over

the command of Northern Jing’s army.

The army of

Northern Jing might be a thing of the past.

I need King Weixi to station his troops at Northern Jing soon.

Any news from King Weixi?

When can we meet?

Your Majesty.

King Weixi seems undecided.

I’m still trying to mediate with him.

Grand tutor.

Ru Qi has returned.

Any news?

She said Duke Jing An’s deceased child,

Yan Zhi

is still alive.

Yan Zhi.
