[Love in Between]

[Episode 14]

Master.

How is she?

Herbal bath has worked.

She’s sleeping soundly now.

Let’s find a place ahead to rest.

Master.

You can actually smile?

You should be happy too.

You’ll have a lady master soon.

Lady master?

Su Yun Luo?

Calling Lady master by name is disrespectful.

After a day of the journey,

your Lady master can’t take it anymore.

But today,

we have always been followed.

We have to figure out a way to get rid of them.

Since they didn’t show themselves,

that means they just want to follow us.

Let’s just be careful.

At Wuer Fortress,

someone will come to aid us.

Wuer Fortress is far from the underworld

in seclusion.

We still don’t know the situation.

I hope Elder Xie Li

can heal Yun Luo.

So I’ll be relieved.

Let’s go.

[Zhengyang Palace]

Senior.

How is it?

People we sent were all killed.

So far, we haven’t figured out who did it.

We must find out

who killed our people.

Yes.

I have arranged someone to investigate.

There’s another issue.

Chang Ge is still not found.

Keep searching for Chang Ge.

Got it.

This is getting further away from Yu River.

Where do you want to go?

I don’t know.

You’re not going back to Zhengyang Palace?

Master gave me Qingli Sword.

Yet, I embarrassed him.

It’s just a defeat.

I was defeated by you as well.

It isn’t the same.

What about you?

Where are you going?

I don’t know either.

Initially, I wanted to see the underworld of Zhongjing.

Who would have known, after seeing it,

it’s different from my expectation.

That’s right.

After these few days,

I realized it’s different from my expectation too.

I feel like going back to the Southwest.

Tiao Yue Festival is coming.

I wonder how Master is.

Why don’t you come to the Southwest with me?

Southwest?

Southwest where?

The Blood Wings...

A village near The Blood Wings.

You’re from The Blood Wings?

Of course not.

The Blood Wings is The Blood Wings.

I am me.

In our village,

there are many formidable experts.

I want to see Master Tuo,

the one who teaches me martial arts since I was small.

When you’re there,

I’ll have her teach you something.

Let’s go.

Let’s go and see your master.

Let’s go.

Who is that?

It’s me.

Why are you screaming?

Don’t come in.

I’m a doctor.

A doctor is kind.

Why are you stopping me?

If you dare to come in,

I’ll remove your eyeballs.

I don’t believe it.

I’m coming in.

No, don’t come in.

I’m just bluffing.

See how scared you are.

The time is up,

I came to remind you.

What’s going on?

Are you done?

I’m done.

Stupid flying bandit.

Rogue doctor.

Just now,

I had the female villagers

remove your clothes for the herbal bath.

What did you think?

Here.

Let me take your pulse.

What’s going on?

You

have an anxiety problem.

This problem

can only be treated by me.

Three qian of happiness.

Two qian of worry-free.

One qian of Doctor Zuo.

What nonsense is that?

How is it?

As long as you’re obedient,

take medication on time,

always look at Doctor Zuo,

you can arrive at Wuer Fortress without a problem.

So far I can secure your heart meridian.

When we meet Elder Xie Li,

if he’s willing to use his inner power

to open up your blocked channels,

you’ll be fine.

When will we arrive at Wuer Fortress?

Maybe tomorrow.

Before we arrive,

you have to promise me something.

What?

When you’re healed,

can you watch a firework show with me?

What’s going on?

It seems Wuer Fortress isn’t far away.

Since it’s known to be withdrawn,

it won’t be found easily.

The fog is the first barrier.

What should we do?

Follow the sound of the bell.

Let’s go.

Lord.

I think we’re here again.

This fog is a formation.

Even Tracking Sparrow is lost.

Wuer Fortress is indeed odd.

If we break in forcefully,

there may be an ambush.

Let’s guard here.

He’ll surely come out.

Roger.

[Wuer Fortress]

Who are you?

You come to Wuer Fortress

to hide from your enemy?

Or do you have other purposes?

I came here

to ask for Elder Xie Li’s help.

Please pass on the message for us.

Don’t trouble yourself.

I’m Xie Li.

Nonsense.

Xie Li is a famous elder in the martial art circle.

How can he be a witless young girl?

You are welcoming us with so many people.

I’m very honoured.

However,

but do your father, Elder Xie Li, know about this?

How do you know Xie Li is my...

Alright.

I’ll deal with them.

Since you manage to come to Wuer Fortress

and know that I’m Xie Li’s daughter,

how would you not know that my father doesn’t meet strangers?

We’re counting on you for this.

Me?

I implore you

to help us see Elder Xie Li.

This friend of mine is heavily injured.

She can’t be healed if there’s any delay.

So we need the help of Elder Xie’s inner power.

You’re keen, smart,

and surely kind as well.

I hope

you can sympathize my sincerity.

I will be very grateful.

If it weren’t for the advanced notification,

I wouldn’t let you in.

So,

you shall live here first.

Follow me.

Female shall stay here.

Thank you.

Your room is next door.

Miss Xie.

A small insignificant gift.

I hope you can accept it.

[Xie Jiang Er]

I’m Xie Jiang Er.

Just call me Jiang Er.

Tracking Sparrow?

How can it be?

Master.

How did you know Miss Jiang Er

is Xie Li’s daughter?

Although her dress isn’t gorgeous,

it’s exquisite.

She’s acting in a style of her own.

She’s surely not a common girl.

She’s young,

yet she came to stop us with experts.

She even dared to impersonate Xie Li.

She’s surely an important person in the fortress,

who is close to Xie Li.

I just took a guess.

Turned out I was right.

Master, you’re awesome.

Master.

What are you painting?

The hand fan that I wanted to give Yun Luo

is now used as a courtesy gift.

So I’m painting a better one for her.

But since I don’t have the hand fan anymore,

I don’t know where to place this painting.

You only think about Lady master.

You don’t care about me.

Have I ever cared about you?

When Yun Luo is cured,

I will take you two away

from the chaos and quarrel,

to travel around the world to practise medicine.

How merry.

They refused to take us to see the village head.

How do you know Miss Su will be cured?

Don’t worry.

There will surely be a way.

[Duke Wei Ning’s Mansion]

[Emperor Xiao Ming’s Written Approval]

[Storm]

Your Grace.

Commander Shen is here.

Let him in.

Got it.

Greetings, Your Grace.

Speak up.

The matter in Tuozhou is settled.

The secret letter between Duke Jing An and Guzi clan

is also written.

The writing is exactly like Duke Jing An’s.

There won’t be any problem.

Get up.

Thank you, Your Grace.

This errand

is done well by you and Lu Shou.

Tomorrow, at the royal court,

I want to see

how His Majesty can defend Yan Yu.

Your Grace.

There’s another matter.

Yang Huan sent someone to report

that Duke Jing An’s son, Yan Zhi,

is found.

He’s in Creek Yu.

Really?

Absolutely true.

Okay.

Ask Yang Huan to keep an eye.

As soon as the imperial edict is issued,

bring him to Capital City.

Yes.

Let their family reunite.

This Imperial Prison

is prepared for them.

Miss Jiang Er.

Come in.

It’s cold outside.

Shh.

I have a term.

Are you forcing my master

to be your husband?

I promise.

Okay.

Tomorrow noon, at Hall of Justice.

My father will see you there.

Thank you, Miss Jiang Er.

Why is Miss Su

so badly injured?

It’s a long story.

Yun Luo’s heart meridian is damaged.

Medical skill alone isn’t enough to heal her.

Therefore, we came to see Elder Xie.

I heard you mentioned,

Miss Su is the disciple of Sword Demon Su Xuan.

Is Su Xuan still alive?

Yes.

Elder Su Xuan was badly injured 10 years ago,

he was even poisoned.

For the past 10 years,

Yun Luo has been searching for precious herbs,

in order to save Elder Su.

Then

who injured Miss Su?

Master of Zhengyang Palace,

Jin Xu.

Jin Xu?

He sounds old.

Why was he bullying her?

Why are people in Zhongjing’s martial art circle like that?

No wonder my father never

leaves the fortress for 10 years.

But don’t worry.

Wuer Fortress has entry without exit.

You’re very safe.

Master.

Entry without exit?

Entry without exit?

That’s the rule of Wuer Fortress.

No wonder you...

You promised me.

No regrets.

Doctor Zuo.

Where is the view depicted on this hand fan?

It’s very beautiful.

It’s the Lantern Festival of Yu River.

Various of lanterns

are a feast to the eyes.

Even at night,

it was still very bright,

just like day.

I almost forgot it.

Do you know

you were followed by a Tracking Sparrow?

Tracking Sparrow?

Tracking Sparrow

can follow a unique scent.

As long as your body has this scent,

you’ll be followed by it forever.

Do you know what scent is that?

I don’t know.

You can check

if there’s anything odd in your belongings.

But don’t worry about the bird.

I have shot it down.

Thank you, Miss Jiang Er.

Then

I shall go now.

Nothing.

Master.

I’ve sniffed everything. No scent...

Master.

Are you molesting Lady master?

You just have to get rid

of this scent powder.

Okay.

Absurd!

Your Majesty, calm your anger.

You want to kill my general.

How can I calm my anger?

Ara Guzi storm-attacked.

Cang City was in danger.

Yet Duke Jing An didn’t take any action.

All 3,000 soldiers were annihilated.

There’s something fishy in this.

Please understand, Your Majesty.

Rubbish!

Duke Jing An has defended Tuozhou for years.

He knows the priority.

When it’s needed, to make minor sacrifices to safeguard major interests,

is also an act for the whole interest.

How can we simply accuse him

because of Lu Shou’s words?

Your Majesty.

Is Duke Jing An thinking about the whole interest

or is he plotting something else?

Why don’t Your Majesty read these letters first

before deciding?

Duke Jing An is hatching a sinister plot

of colluding with Ara Guzi.

These two-way letters

are solid evidence.

Besides, Duke Jing An’s daughter

has an ambiguous relationship with Duan Yan, the rebel,

which is well-known.

Duke Jing An’s Mansion

isn’t like how you expected.

Right now, the border is in danger, the general isn’t loyal.

[Signed by Yan Yu] You can’t let a selfish thought

and the fawning official deceive you.

I hope Your Majesty can focus on

the country and the folks.

Your Majesty, please decide wisely.

All of you...

All of you...

All of you have gone too far.

Your Majesty, if you’re kind

and afraid to wrong somebody,

it’s okay.

We can

imprison everyone in Duke Jing An’s Mansion

in Imperial Prison first.

I believe,

through the Trial of Three Bureaus,

we can give them a fair judgment.

Your Majesty.

Elder Pei.

Good one, Elder Pei!

[Seclusion from the World]

Junior Su Yun Luo.

Junior Zuo Qing Ci.

Would like to greet Elder Xie Li.

What are elder and junior?

Long-winded.

Don’t you have a request?

What kind of begging is this?

Kneel!

What’s going on?

[Seclusion from the World]

You’re not happy to kneel?

I beg you to use your inner power

to heal Su Yun Luo.

Why should I save her?

I heard you’re righteous,

carefree and unrestrained.

If you could help a junior of the martial art circle,

it would be a beautiful anecdote.

I don’t care about what others say.

I will save her if I want,

I won’t if I don’t want.

Elder.

Wuer Fortress is merely thus.

It’s just a rumor of the underworld.

It’s just a boost.

The martial art of the people here isn’t so great.

They can’t save you.

Let’s go.

You want to go?

It isn’t so easy.

Are you alright?

Why does your inner power

consist of Zhengyang Method

and Lonely Tone Method?

I’m a disciple of Su Xuan,

[Xie Li, Head of Wuer Fortress] who learn martial arts from him.

I have left Zhengyang Palace.

But the inner power still exists.

You left Zhengyang Palace.

Interesting.

I’m not related to Zhengyang Palace anymore.

I’m just the apprentice of my master.

Lonely Tone Method was passed on to me

by Sun Si Luo before he died.

I couldn’t honour him as my master.

I received it with shame.

Sun Si Luo is dead?

In order to see Mu Lian,

Sun sacrificed his life.

Both of them died out of love

in the sea of fire.

Is Su Xuan

still alive?

Master has been poisoned since 10 years ago

and became insane.

I just want to find the eight magical herbs

to treat my master.

Now, only Ceylon Star Leaf is left undiscovered.

Please share with us.

Are you here

to save your life

or to get the whereabouts of Ceylon Star Leaf?

I want the whereabouts of Ceylon Star Leaf.

I didn’t expect the apprentice of Su Xuan

to be a silly person.

No wonder after 10 years,

you still can’t find all eight magical herbs.

You don’t even know how to answer

such a simple question.

I’ll give you another chance.

Do you want to save yourself

or to get the whereabouts of Ceylon Star Leaf?

I want the whereabouts of Ceylon Star Leaf.

You have to live first.

I want the whereabouts of Ceylon Star Leaf.

I can’t lie to him.

You,

come in.

[Hall of Justice]

My master is indeed handsome.

But you can’t stare at him like that.

My master is owned.

Don’t you dream of marrying him.

I know.

Doctor Zuo’s lover

is Miss Su, right?

My Lady master is injured.

Don’t you take advantage of it.

Bai Mo.

Have you seen this?

It’s interesting.

Let me demonstrate to you.

This

can’t be found outside the fortress.

My father taught me to make this.

Through this,

you can see the scenery inside.

It’s very fun.

Doctor Zuo.

Look, is it fun?

Miss Jiang Er.

What is this?

Don’t care about what it is.

Is it fun?

Can you teach me to make one?

Senior.

Master Lian sent a message.

He found Shang Wan’s whereabouts.

Really?

Master Lian spoke with certainty.

He said this devil

is practising in isolation at the west side of Lang Mountain, Haizhou.

It can’t be wrong.

Besides, he also found that

Shang Wan is still looking for Yong Shan’s descendant

from 10 years ago.

Has he found her?

I don’t know.

Senior.

Although Master Lian surrounded the cave,

his martial art skill isn’t better than Shang Wan.

Haizhou isn’t far from Zhaomu Pavilion.

Why don’t we ask Master Kou to back up

and kill Shang Wan together?

No.

We can’t let her know about this.

Take our disciples to Haizhou.

Okay.

Lang Mountain, Haizhou.

Oh, right.

Take Wen Si Yuan along.

Take Wen Si Yuan?

I always wanted to find out his relationship with Shang Wan.

Shan Shui Du has spies everywhere in the underworld.

Shang Wan appears,

yet he didn’t report it to us immediately.

It’s obviously unusual.

Back then, Flying Bandit stole Guihong Knife,

yet Wen Si Yuan had business with her,

which caused our disciples into a trap because of them.

I have to

settle this debt with him.

You indeed think very thoroughly.

Besides, Kou Su Bai is discontented recently.

Have an eye on her.

Report to me if there’s anything odd.

I get it.

Wen Si Yuan.

How do you feel?

Does it still hurt?

Water.

Water? Water.

Water.

Here.

I’m glad that you’re fine.

I made you worried.

Miss Su, you’re finally awake.

Master.

Miss Su.

You have been unconscious for a day.

Master had me cook the medicine

once every hour,

so you can take it when you’re awake.

My master was horribly worried.

Even his grey hair is growing.

When I’m around, there’s always sweet.

Do you still remember what you promised me

before we came to Wuer Fortress?

When will we arrive at Wuer Fortress?

Maybe tomorrow.

Before we arrive,

you have to promise me something.

What?

When you’re healed,

can you watch a firework show with me?

I knew you forgot about it.

When your injury is cured,

tomorrow evening,

I’ll wait for you by the creek outside the fortress.

Master.

The dishes are all served.

Here.

Let’s celebrate the recovery of Miss Su.

You’re not completely healed.

Drink tea instead of wine.

Master is right.

Here, cheers!

Master, have some more.

This is delicious.

Lady master, eat this.

This is delicious.

Miss Su.

Are men outside

as handsome as

Doctor Zuo?

Not as handsome as him.

Master, eat.

Well, whose master is he?

Doctor Zuo.

Is the Lantern Festival

interesting?

Eat.

It depends on who you’re with.

With an interesting person like me,

it’s of course fun.

I would like to go to the Lantern Festival too.

I want to be with the person I love.

Miss Su.

Do you think I am right?

There’s no point kneeling.

Please save my master

and tell me the whereabouts of Ceylon Star Leaf.

Okay.

Answer me a question then.

Please ask.

Is it okay

to kill Zuo Cing Qi?
