[Love in Between]

[Episode 10]

[Combed by Wind, Washed by Rain] [Yu River, Branch of Shan Shui Du]

Brother Zhang.

Branch Master Liao.

I just met some young warriors.

We should have known each other earlier.

They have the look of a champion.

[Liao Fei Yan, Branch Master, Yu River] Young Warrior Qian,

if they have the look of a champion,

then I, Chu Tian Jiang from Xiaozong,

[Chu Tian Jiang, apprentice of Xiaozong] can surely

be the lord of the Sword Congress.

You...

You...

Exaggeration.

I can do it too.

Everyone.

Silent, please.

Everyone here

certainly knows me.

On the occasion of the Sword Congress,

being able to invite you for a drink, [Yuan Ying Ying, from Zhaomu Pavilion]

is the pleasure of me and Chief Wen.

Young Warrior Chu is overly confident.

Have you forgotten about Yin Chang Ge from Zhengyang Palace

and Mu Ying of Mu’s clan?

Immortal Jin Xu presented Crane Tail

to help his beloved apprentice, Jade Mythical Lion.

We are

just the foil of Zhengyang Palace.

So what if there’s Yin Chang Ge?

He’s just

using the reputation of Zhengyang Palace.

Let me tell you.

I will beat him up

to show all of you.

He?

Yin Chang Ge’s defeated opponent?

Just a defeated opponent.

Everyone knows how to boast.

That’s right.

Everyone, don’t disturb the harmony.

Wish everyone great success

in tomorrow’s Sword Congress.

Please.

Fellow heroes.

Please take a seat.

So garlic paste refers to Yin Chang Ge?

It’s Jade Mythical Lion.

What an ugly name.

If it were me,

I wouldn’t use this name.

What would you use then?

I...

I should be called something like, Southwest First Warrior.

Turns out you’re from Southwest.

No wonder we haven’t

heard about you before.

Of course.

Zhongjing people don’t dare

to go to where I lived.

Don’t dare to go?

Could it be that you’re from The Blood Wings?

Let’s drink.

Yin Chang Ge has arrived in Yu River.

Why isn’t he meeting us?

He and Heroine Shen

must be staying in Mu’s clan now.

Doctor Zuo.

Eat first.

I want to see Doctor Zuo.

Young Warrior Zhu.

Please sit.

Doctor Zuo just arrived.

He must be tired.

Let him rest first.

Today, what about just the two of us

get drunk?

Oh, right.

I won’t tell anyone about

your identity in The Blood Wings.

Master.

Why don’t you eat?

It’s quite delicious.

We should eat more,

so we can save money for a meal.

No matter how delicious the food is,

it can’t stuff your mouth.

Eat.

I’m going out.

Wait for me here.

Fangwai Valley has always been withdrawn.

How did they produce someone like you?

Where there’s trouble,

there’s where you go.

As a doctor,

I care for magical herbs the most.

Crane Tail appears,

that’s why I come here.

It may sound frank.

But it seems,

you aren’t being good.

I didn’t get what I want.

Because of that,

my mood is bad.

Stop thinking about it.

You couldn’t steal it in Zhengyang Palace.

The result will be the same in the Sword Congress.

Furthermore, Su Yun Luo’s identity

has raised doubt.

We both can tell that,

Jin Xu took out Crane Tail,

in order to make her fall into the snare.

This chess play

is doomed.

Really?

If we change the chess player,

maybe we can survive.

The person who wants Crane Tail now

isn’t Su Yun Luo,

but me.

You?

People who know the game,

may not win the game.

You’re just a weak doctor.

How can you win?

The winner is another person.

I have found one.

Who?

He’s good at martial arts, does not take a penny,

disregard for life or death.

Okay.

Even if we can get Crane Tail,

what about Ceylon Star Leaf?

Of course, it will still be mine.

Don’t worry, Chief.

What Su Yun Luo can do for you,

I, Zuo Qing Ci, can do as well.

Besides,

as long as she doesn’t show up,

people from Zhengyang Palace won’t look for trouble with you.

How is it?

This business isn’t bad, right?

It’s not.

What you said is right.

Compared with being an enemy of Fangwai Valley,

I’m more worried about

getting in trouble with Zhengyang Palace.

The young master of Fangwai Valley is working for me.

That sounds very good.

However...

What are you doubtful of?

We both understand

the character of Su Yun Luo.

She only trusts herself,

and no one else.

If we can’t stop her,

we will catch her.

Catch?

It seems you’re really mad this time.

Where is Su Xuan?

Where is Su Xuan?

She won’t tell anyone,

including you

and me.

I guess,

she hasn’t seen Su Xuan for a very long time.

She doesn’t know about Su Xuan’s current condition.

So she can’t stop being anxious,

and may take action recklessly.

Coincidentally,

Jin Xu and Xiu Yu Gu are both hard to deal with.

To steal Crane Tail from such people,

one shouldn’t rob forcefully.

One may be trapped easily.

Su Yun Luo is hiding in Mountain Temple.

I can take her here for you.

However,

if I can’t find her...

Then use firework as a signal.

Okay.

There are two types of herbs left.

Master.

Wait for me.

Su Yun Luo,

you silly one.

She’s indeed anxious to take action.

Did she go to Mu’s clan?

I suppose.

Go and find a path.

Would I need to find a path?

You’re still awake.

I just came back from Auntie Mu’s.

Auntie doesn’t like to talk.

It’s rare that

she gets along with you.

Why are there so many people?

Since Crane Tail is the first prize,

Mu’s clan have to give some effort.

It’s better to have

more guards at night.

Uncle Xiu has great martial art skill.

No one can get near him.

When Crane Tail is with him,

there’s nothing to be worried about.

Furthermore, my master will be here soon.

With the help of my master,

you don’t have to be worried.

The Sword Congress is in two days.

You should get some rest.

Miss Shen.

You don’t seem to trust Mu’s clan.

When you marry me,

are you going to still be on guard against us,

and defend Zhengyang?

I think you’d better drop the idea.

Zhengyang Palace won’t be your backup forever.

By the way,

where is Young Warrior Yin?

He’s practicing sword.

He’s practicing very hard every day.

I shall go back now.

I’ll send you off.

Ghost Boy.

How could it be him?

Uncle.

How are you?

Ghost Boy?

I couldn’t kill you the last time.

This time, don’t dream of escaping.

Man Qing.

Who are you?

I’m the Bare-handed Lady, Shen Man Qing.

You were the one who killed Chou Nu Er.

You did all kinds of evil things.

You deserve several deaths.

Let her go.

Give me Crane Tail.

You won’t be able to escape.

She’s the first apprentice of Zhengyang Palace,

the future wife of Mu’s clan master.

How dare you harm her?

I see.

She’s just a pawn

of Zheng Yang Palace to control Mu’s clan.

No wonder she doesn’t worth a Crane Tail.

Elder Xiu.

I’ll go after him.

You’re awake.

Where’s Ghost Boy?

He’s gone.

Gone?

I tricked him away.

I met Ghost Boy in Mu’s clan.

He kidnapped Shen Man Qing.

This must be related to Zuo Qing Ci.

Is he here?

Yes.

Zuo Qing Ci is with me.

You welshed on your promise.

You promised not to have him interrupt my business.

You also promised me,

not to reveal your identity.

At this point,

you can’t hide from him.

What is this?

An inch of yearning.

As long as I can see you,

an inch of yearning is enough.

You asked Ghost Boy to steal Crane Tail.

He spoiled my plan.

I sent him to help you.

Don’t mind my business, didn’t you hear that?

I heard that.

Don’t be angry.

Ghost Boy kidnapped Shen Man Qing.

He knew Shen Man Qing killed Chou Nu Er.

He wants revenge.

He won’t kill Shen Man Qing.

What are you talking about?

He’s a devil who kills without mercy.

He promised me he won’t kill.

Promised you?

You trust him?

He let you come back,

so I trust him.

Where is he?

I don’t know.

Where is he?

Okay, I know.

But you can’t go.

Where is he?

You can’t go.

Pass it to me.

Both Shen Man Qing and Ghost Boy have to be safe.

Of course.

Your acupoint will be released

in an hour.

Yun Luo.

What kind of trade do you have with Wen Si Yuan?

Don’t you know

how selfish he is?

He doesn’t care about others’ lives.

He lives to achieve his own goals.

Talking about selfishness,

I’m the most selfish one.

I was the one who wanted you to steal

The Painting of Splendid Landscape.

I’m glad you went to Chiyan Desert.

I’m glad you promised Wen Si Yuan to protect me.

Or else how could we have met?

How could I talk to you here?

Yun Luo.

You failed in Zhengyang Palace and Mu’s clan.

With your power alone,

you can’t steal Crane Tail.

I’ll surely have a way.

None of your business.

Back then in Chiyan Desert,

you were able to get the painting because of me,

Shen Man Qing, Yin Chang Ge and Zhu Yan.

That’s why you succeeded.

Now you’re scared to be alone,

with no one to help you.

Why can’t you trust me?

Because...

Because it isn’t the painting.

That is master’s medicine.

That is master’s medicine.

That is master’s medicine.

Let go of the worry about your master.

Trust us.

After the Sword Congress,

Crane Tail will surely be yours.

You’re not alone.

If you get an inch nearer,

I will kill you.

You’re awake?

I was the one who killed Chou Nu Er.

Just revenge.

I won’t kill you.

Are you afraid?

Even if I’m in agony now,

I have to hold it in.

If you don’t kill me,

why did you take me here?

This is where I lived before I left Zhongjing.

I didn’t expect it to become like this.

Auntie Mu’s handkerchief?

That’s Auntie Mu’s handkerchief.

Return it.

Return it.

Return it.

Don’t touch me.

With it on,

you do look like someone.

What do you want?

Answer my question.

If...

If there’s someone

who betrayed you

and is a devil,

would you

want to forget him?

Someone once said,

I’m a person who holds grudges.

Hence I won’t forget.

I will remember everything

he did to me.

But what if he proves it to you with this death?

Prove?

Prove what?

Prove that he knows he’s wrong.

Would you forgive him?

I will live on well

and remember his good side.

Thank you.

What do you actually want?

You will find out.

Let me go.

Why is it here?

Are you sure?

Let me go.

Man Qing.

Let her go.

Come and grab her if you can.

Today,

I shall show you

the insincerity of men.

Outrageous.

This is the territory of Mu’s clan.

How dare you evil savage be wanton here?

What is that?

People of Mu’s clan

have indeed not improved for the past 10 years.

Baby.

Why did you go there?

Ghost Mantis?

Turns out you know it.

Then you would also know

when my baby sees light,

it will have to drink one’s blood before it stops.

It crawled in.

What now?

Why don’t you remove her clothes,

and take out Ghost Mantis for me?

As long as you let it bite you once,

your fiancee

will be saved.

Are you her husband?

You don’t want to save her.

Let me experience

your poison.

Who is that?

Shan Shui Du.

Wen Si Yuan.

Miss Shen.

Excuse me.

Chief Wen.

Kill this devil.

You?

Chase!

Your hand...

Minor injury.

I’ll take you to Doctor Zuo.

No need.

I’m just a lusty man.

I don’t deserve your concern.

Chief Wen.

Chief Wen.

Wen Si Yuan.

You lost again.

Yin Chang Ge.

I left Chief Wen

to play with you,

not to practise sword with you.

Look at yourself.

Even if you don’t want to sleep,

you shouldn’t torture me.

The Sword Congress is not as simple as you think.

If I make any mistake,

I’ll bring shame to

Zhengyang Palace and Tian Du Walls.

Don’t worry.

I have gone through

all your opponents.

They can’t defeat you.

The first prize will certainly be yours.

Stop talking about me.

Look at yourself.

How can you

join the Sword Congress like this?

My current condition isn’t so good.

Because you can’t enter Shan Shui Du,

Or else,

I would be drinking with Doctor Zuo now.

Oh, right.

I saw Doctor Zuo in Shan Shui Du just now.

Bai Mo is also here.

Really?

Forget about it.

I still can’t see him.

Uncle forbade me to have contact with Doctor Zuo,

neither with Chief Wen.

Your master

just wants you to get the first prize of the Sword Congress.

He doesn’t want you to do anything else.

Martial art practice requires focus.

You’re far from it.

Let me tell you.

During the Sword Congress,

I won’t make it easy for you.

Nonsense.

Neither will I.

Alright now. Let’s go.

Stop practising. Let’s go.

What now?

Go to Shan Shui Du with me.

To inquire Ah Fei from

Chief Wen and Doctor Zuo.

Let’s go.

Chief Wen is resting.

Miss Ling Xi.

Do you think I’m blind?

The candle is still lit.

He doesn’t receive guests now.

What about Doctor Zuo?

Senior.

Why are you here?

Doctor Zuo.

What injury does he have?

Miss Ling Xi.

I want to force the poison out of Chief Wen.

Help him up.

Okay.

This is the neutralizer.

He’ll be fine after taking it.

Thank you, Doctor Zuo.

What happened to Chief Wen?

Ghost Boy raided Mu’s clan tonight

and held me hostage.

In order to save me,

Chief Wen was poisoned by Ghost Boy.

Ghost Boy?

Is he back for revenge?

I think he came for Crane Tail.

Master will arrive at Mu’s clan tomorrow.

I...

I should go.

Doctor Zuo.

Thank you.

He’ll be fine after some rest.

Okay.

Your senior is behaving oddly.

How can she not be odd?

The person she hated saved her.

Chief Wen is quite badly injured this time.

Are you coming to see me tomorrow?

The Sword Congress is in two days.

Tomorrow I want...

You want to practise sword again?

Alright then. I’ll accompany you.

No, brother.

Don’t you want to go around Yu River?

Tomorrow is the Lantern Festival.

Let’s go together.

You’re finally enlightened.

Okay.

Let’s go to the Lantern Festival first,

and I’ll practice with you after that.

Let’s go.

[Mu Mansion]

Master.

Shen Man Qing and Yin Chang Ge are back.

I have sent someone

to search for Ghost Boy.

Master.

Master.

It’s late now. Get rest.

Tomorrow,

you have to prepare for

the Sword Congress.

Just ignore this matter.

Master.

I have something in my mind

that I want to say.

Ying Er.

Your marriage with Man Qing

can no longer be discussed.

Immortal Jin Xu wants me to marry Shen Man Qing,

to buy over me

to help his disciple, Yin Chang Ge.

But so many of Zhengyang Palace came to Mu’s clan.

Yin Chang Ge hasn’t saluted you once.

He can’t tell chalk from cheese.

Silly Ying Er.

What does this have to do with Yin Chang Ge?

Diplomatic marriage

can stabilise Martial Art Alliance

and let Mu’s clan manage the martial art circle

with Zhengyang Palace.

Do I still

need to tell you that?

We manage together,

but all these years,

Zhengyang Palace has been the Chief of Martial Art Alliance.

Mu’s clan can never say no.

Master, could you be...

What happened today?

Why didn’t you think before you speak?

Master.

I would like to get the first prize in the Sword Congress,

to make Mu’s clan known.

I can’t reconcile myself.

Outrageous.

You’re the first apprentice of Mu’s clan,

the future chief.

Did I do you wrong?

I wouldn’t dare.

I’m loyal to Mu’s clan

and you.

Let alone being missing the whole day,

Yin Chang Ge didn’t even know his senior was kidnapped.

On him, I don’t see any

value of future chief of Martial Art Alliance.

The title of Chief of Martial Art Alliance

isn’t what you should think about.

Diplomatic marriage is your responsibility.

If you say such a thing again,

don’t blame me for not telling you the consequence.

Master.

Let’s get some rest.

I’m so tired.

Doctor Zuo.

You’re back.

Anything urgent?

Do you have extra bedding in your room?

I would like to stay here with you.

What do you want?

Didn’t Chief Wen arrange you a room?

I can’t fall asleep alone.

Just talk to me until the daybreak.

Come with me.

Why are you pulling me?

I want to ask Doctor something.

You really have something to ask?

Of course.

Let’s talk inside.

I have private things in my room.

It’s not open to be viewed.

Let’s just talk here.

Doctor.

Please have a look.

Yesterday on the street,

a thief stole my wallet,

but I didn’t realize.

I neither have eaten nor slept well

recently.

Even my martial art isn’t as good as it was before.

Only when I practiced martial art with Yin Chang Ge,

I’m a little amused.

What disease do you think I have?

What other symptoms are there?

Besides,

Besides, it’s...

Are you angry every time

Ah Fei is mentioned?

Yes.

Not just angry,

I’m also anxious.

I would like to paste tracing notice in the market.

Where do you think she is?

Is she in danger?

Is she eating and sleeping well?

However...

When I think about that she left without a word,

leaving me alone,

I feel very upset.

Your symptoms sound familiar.

Really?

Others have such a disease as well?

This disease has a name.

What is it called?

Let me tell you.

I have treated a fat trader,

who had the same symptoms as yours.

If you use my prescription,

you’ll be healed.

Tell me, hurry.

First, prepare a set of female outfit.

Female outfit?

One is crazy, one is silly.

Just come with me.

Let’s go.

Why does Doctor Zuo want me to prepare female outfit?

Let’s go.

You have heard it all?

Why were you out for so long?

Did you miss me?

Get to the point.

Shen Man Qing was brought back by Wen Si Yuan.

Wen Si Yuan was poisoned.

I just treated him.

Unexpected, right?

Ghost Boy really didn’t kill.

Good that they’re fine.

If Ghost Boy is really willing to work with you,

how would you get Crane Tail?

You have agreed?

I said, if.

I will do three things.

What three things?

First,

we’ll go to the clothes store tomorrow night.

I’ll wait for you there.

Why?

You’ll find out when you’re there.

Second,

I want Ghost Boy to join the Sword Congress,

and win the first prize.

He’s so outstanding,

how can he stand in front of the public?

My master once told me about some strange people,

who are possessed because of overly-practiced martial art.

Reversed circulation turns them to children.

I thought my master made that up to fool me.

Until I was attacked by Ghost Boy in the cave,

I probed him

and found out it’s real.

What did you tell him in the cave?

I told him,

he has to stop killing,

so I can apply acupuncture on him,

to open his circulation and channels,

without being harmed by his evil power.

And then?

Then he has to move his inner power for a whole day,

to let energy and blood flow in the circulation

and channels with amazing power.

If his mind is set

without distraction,

he will turn back to his real body.

Lest, with an evil thought,

he will be in endless pain.

Didn’t he tell you

why he’s doing that?

I don’t feel good about this.

I want to see him now.

Where is he?

Why don’t we see him tomorrow?

Tomorrow is not good.

I have to visit patients.

Did you do something without telling me again?

Actually,

I just applied acupuncture on him just now.

He’s in the secret room of Chief Wen.

You’re just like Wen Si Yuan now,

always setting traps.

How can I trust you?

Ghost Boy wants to leave evilness.

We’re helping him,

not harming him.

Stop thinking. It’s going to be daybreak.

Get some rest.

We have to get the first thing done tomorrow.

In the clothes store,

I’ll wait for you.

I’m not going.

Su Yun Luo.

You have to stick to your promise.

What about the third thing?

You’ll find out.
