[Love in Between]

[Episode 5]

Kid.

Any last words

to tell your warriors?

Perhaps they can really hear you.

Leave us alone.

Yes.

Kou Er.

Kou Er.

Now it is not

the best time to escape.

No way.

You must leave with me.

Shoo-fly seed powder.

Shoo-fly seed powder?

I need you to help me.

[12:45] It’s time.

Get ready!

Trash!

Sleep poison incense.

What’s wrong?

I know the Guzi mark.

This is a forgery.

He is not a Guzi envoy.

Ghost Boy.

Lord Duan.

I shouldn’t have underestimated you

since you escaped all the way here from Zhong Jing.

It seems that

you wanted the painting for yourself.

In your dreams!

Guards.

Crown prince.

Bring out the real painting.

You fool.

That Scorpion Lady was an impostor.

The painting is with her!

All three of you are trash!

Find the painting! Quick!

What are you doing?

Scorpion Lady.

You wouldn’t dare.

Trash!

Find the painting! Quick!

Don’t come here.

Duan Yan’s agreed commission.

I...

I’ll double it.

To the execution grounds.

Scorpion Lady.

Get the horse.

Where did you get them?

I prepared them.

Only four?

I can only get that many.

Let’s go.

Hurry.

Scorpion Lady.

I’m going to kill them.

Scorpion lady.

[Afternoon] The time is running behind.

They used shoo-fly seed powder.

Master.

Master.

Bai Mo.

Master.

The medicine only works after four hours.

You can’t

suffer anymore before that.

We can’t stay here.

They will be here soon.

Young warriors.

My master was prisoned

and injured badly.

He might not

make it without rest.

Yes.

His injury is quite serious.

Let’s take

a break.

Yes.

We’ve run for an hour.

They won’t catch up

in such a short time.

Alright.

We’ll rest for 15 minutes.

Time to go.

They are almost here.

Leave us.

We’ll distract Ghost Boy.

Go to Tuozhou directly.

No.

We won’t abandon you.

We can’t fail here.

Send the painting.

I’ll act as a decoy.

Shen Man Qing.

Trust me.

We meet at Tuozhou ten days later.

Go over there.

Senior.

Return the painting.

Leave us here.

We will stall her.

Be careful.

Zhu Yan, let’s go.

You killed Chou Nu Er.

So what?

You’ll pay

with your life.

Stay away.

I got this.

Forget it. Let me do it.

Watch out.

Heard of Mu Rong Yi

and Yao Shan’s Sword-Blade Formation?

Of course.

Legend has it

that the formation

is invincible.

Get off.

Get off.

Hurry.

What are you doing?

If we ride together,

we won’t outrun Ghost Boy.

Follow me.

Go.

It’s not safe enough here.

Ghost Boy is hunting for us outside.

If we can’t get out,

we’ll be trapped here.

Look.

This cave

is bigger than a usual wolf cave.

It’s unusual.

Some of the stone walls were built.

It might be made

by hunters as a rest spot.

A bigger cave should be linked.

We can try to chisel down the walls,

but I’m not sure how long

it will take.

We need to seal the hole.

Hold this.

This place should be safe.

Ghost Boy won’t find us here.

Let’s stay here tonight.

[Fangwai Valley] [Ten Years Ago]

[Fangwai Valley’s Master] [Doctor Gui]

Your mom wished you to live a good life

before she passed away.

Don’t tell me that

you still think of going back?

Your mom entrusted you to me and

wanted me to be your master.

I’m responsible for your safety.

You will die soon

if you don’t cure the poison in you.

You are Doctor Gui’s disciple?

You are...

Be quiet.

If you make a sound

and I’ll cut off your finger.

If you dare run away,

I’ll cut your finger and dig out your eyes.

Stop pretending.

What’s your name?

Say something.

You are so noisy.

Are you Doctor Gui’s disciple?

Why do you look for him?

To treat someone.

My master is sick.

He needs to be treated.

Just find him then.

It’s none of my business.

You are his disciple.

Tell him for me.

Say something.

My master is waiting.

I’ll kill you

if you don’t say anything.

I’ll really kill you.

Just kill me.

I’m

going to die soon anyway.

You can’t die.

Let’s make a promise.

If I don’t die,

don’t feed me nuts mooncakes.

Pinky promise.

What is your name?

Cloud under Heaven.

Moon above the lakes.

Yun Luo.

I am Su Yun Luo.

What’s your name?

Young valley master!

Ask your master for me.

Young valley master!

I’ll wait for you here tomorrow.

Young valley master!

Young valley master!

Young valley master!

Young valley master.

I’ve finally found you.

It’s been 3 days.

Master.

How long have I slept?

Exactly 10 days.

How about her master?

I’ve checked her master.

I gave him a prescription

but the medicine he needed

can’t be found here.

They’ve already left.

Master.

Treat me.

I’m ready.

Master, you are right.

Why get tangled

to the past?

From now on,

I won’t be the same person anymore.

My past self

is already dead.

Dad.

Will you return?

I’ll save you

after I send His Majesty away.

Master.

Give me a new name.

[Zuo]

[Zuo Qing Ci]

Zuo Qing Ci.

I didn’t get

to tell her this name yet.

Feeling better?

Much better.

I thought you changed.

Luckily,

you didn’t.

We promised.

If I don’t die,

don’t feed me nuts mooncakes.

Let’s make a promise.

If I don’t die,

don’t feed me nuts mooncakes.

I am Zuo Qing Ci.

What’s your name?

What’s your name?

Cloud under Heaven.

Moon above the lakes.

I am Su Yun Luo.

Yun Luo?

Pinky promise.

Su.

Yun.

Luo.

Yun Luo.

Yun Luo.

Yun Luo.

Yun Luo.

Don’t worry.

I’ll send both of you to your death.

Blood flow reversed.

Nerve ends reversed.

What did you say?

Your blood flow’s reversed.

Your nerve ends too.

That’s why you look like a child.

What do you know?

Your Majesty.

Since the founding of our empire,

there’s never been an emperor who withholds the imperial edict.

[Grand Tutor] [Yang Ting Guang]

Your Majesty.

I have something to say.

Grand tutor, please.

Your Majesty.

Duke Jing An has been repelling the Guzi clan

for many years at Tuozhou.

His contribution cannot be forgotten.

It’s been two years since our last war

with the Guzi clan.

For the past two years,

the Guzi clan always tried to infiltrate our borders.

They have not given up on conquering our empire.

Now that the Guzi king is assembling his troops and closing to

our borders,

there will be an imminent war.

I don’t think that it’s a suitable time to switch our general now.

The Painting of Splendid Landscape is our foundation.

Duke Jing An lost it due to negligence.

That is disloyalty.

A disloyal general brings troubles.

By then,

we won’t be able to attack and defend.

Is that what the grand tutor wants?

Lord Zhao has a silver tongue.

A Hanlin Academy graduate indeed.

But everyone knows that...

The Painting of Splendid Landscape was stolen

instead of Duke Jing An losing it purposely.

Why would Lord Zhao twist the facts

and slander the country’s hero.

Your Majesty.

I’m putting my life on the line to request for

Your Majesty’s divine judgement.

We request Your Majesty’s divine judgment.

Stand!

All of you to stand!

All of you.

All of you.

Is this still my empire?

We meant no disrespect.

Announce the imperial edict.

Announce the imperial edict.

Duke Jing An, Yan Yu is

stripped of his rank and contributions. Return to the capital immediately.

[Tuozhou]

[Guard: Yang Huan]

Commander.

The one who returned looks like a scout.

He doesn’t seem to have the painting.

One week left to the one-month deadline.

Be vigilant.

Report to me immediately

once you see anything suspicious.

Yes.

The painting

can never return to Duke Jing An’s mansion again.

Understand?

Yes.

Any news on the imperial edict?

Not yet.
