[Lover or Stranger Ep16]

Miss Youxi is back.

Miss Youxi. Miss Youxi.

Miss Youxi.

Can you comment on what happened tonight?

Miss Youxi.

Just go home. It's fine.

Does Mr. Huo has anything to say about

what happened at Color Gala?

Sorry.

We won't comment on anything

other than business.

Miss Sun Lei,

the fundraiser at the Gala

was also interrupted.

Will it affect

the Color Initiative?

It's said that Mr. Huo's marriage crisis has something to do with you.

Miss Sun,

are you and Mr. Huo

just colleagues or having an affair?

Have you got proof for that?

I can charge you for libel.

I am a journalist. I have every right to ask questions.

From now on, every word you say

will be recorded.

You may write whatever you want.

It's all up to you.

But if any of you dares to spread rumors,

we preserve the right to sue you for libel.

As for the fundraiser, please rest assured.

The fund raised at Color Gala

will be used openly and transparently

under the rules specified.

As for our private business,

no comment.

Please stay out of our business.

Thank you.

Miss Sun Lei. Miss Sun Lei.

Could you give us some more details?

Miss Sun Lei. Miss Sun Lei.

What happened to my brother and Qianyi?

Qianyi's left.

Left?

How could she leave without any explanations?

Don't ever mention her again.

What's wrong?

If you don't tell me, I will ask my brother.

Leave him alone tonight.

You always try to hide everything from me.

Youxi.

Actually,

someone broke into my office

and saw your dental report.

It's probably Sun Lei.

She knows everything now.

Has she done anything?

She wanted to stop me.

But,

I've met Luo Qianyi.

You mean the real one?

Where is she then?

She's been taken away by Chao.

Chao?

I think he probably knows something.

Are you going to ask him questions?

No.

He's Luo Qianyi's manager.

It's his responsibility to help her.

If I go to meet him,

what should I call myself?

Well,

the real Luo Qianyi is back.

Who are you then?

Who am I?

Maybe we should call the police.

Then we can find out

who you really are.

We need to wait.

For what?

My head is a complete mess right now.

Let me figure things out first.

I should leave now.

It's really late now. Sorry for bothering you.

Where are you going?

I don't know.

These should do.

Take a look.

How about this?

That's great.

Sorry you have to stay in a tent.

Let me see.

Why did you cross the video games off?

I don't need them anymore.

It's fine. I have some.

Let me take them out.

It's huge.

How about this one?

You do have some.

Right. I play games too.

Thanks.

I'll go in then.

I am going in.

Goodnight.

Goodnight.

What's your plan now?

How much have you known?

She is not Luo Qianyi, right?

Dr. Yu has found proof.

Her dental record doesn't

match that of Luo Qianyi.

Do you really think that

you can hide everything from everyone?

Why didn't you tell me earlier?

Never mind.

I'm tired.

Luo Qianyi,

is she still alive?

Youze.

I don't know.

We haven't found anyone alive.

What about last night?

She said

it was just her and Chao's trick.

So what she has is just a report.

It can't prove anything.

Leave the rest to me.

Never mind.

I've thought it through.

I am turning myself in.

Don't.

Do you think that it's just about you?

We've worked together all these years.

Can't you think about me?

Sun Lei.

I need to think for myself.

If you are going down,

many of us will be affected.

All I have has been

tied with you for many years.

Could you please take that into consideration?

You need to hang in there.

Of course you don't remember the cuff links.

Because you are not Luo Qianyi.

So I am not her.

How is it possible?

Haven't you said that

you are afraid of losing me again

and we would

start a new life together?

If I am not Luo Qianyi, who am I?

Who am I?

If I am not her, who am I?

You told me you loved me.

Who exactly do you love?

Is it me?

Who am I to you?

Say something.

Aren't you a great talker?

Am I just Luo Qianyi's substitute?

Am I just a substitute?

Am I just a substitute?

Say something!

Say something! Answer my question!

No.

I do want to start a new life with you.

A new life?

Do you really think that

I will stay amnesiac all my life?

Do you really think that I would stop looking for the truth?

Do you think that it's okay that I am not me?

You are you.

I know that you are not her.

I have

fallen in love with you.

[Mr. He]

Youze.

Sheng.

What's wrong?

It's the weekend. Would you come over?

Let's have fun together.

I miss you.

Youze, do you miss us?

I wanted to call you,

but Miss He didn't allow me.

She said I would cause you trouble.

You won't.

Then do come over.

You are a cardiac surgeon.

Have you seen lots of hearts?

Theoretically, yes.

I would like to see

what Huo Youze's heart looks like.

How can there be so many things inside it?

If I ever had the chance,

I would open it up for you.

Good.

Take a look for me

and see if there is truth in it

and how many lies he has told.

He told me

he loved me.

Do you believe him?

Such a liar.

Actually,

the worst thing he has done

is getting you involved in this.

Youze.

Hello.

Hello, Youze.

Hello. Hi.

Where's Qianyi?

Why are you alone?

Right. Where is she?

She can't make it.

Why?

Did you piss her off again?

You need to get her to cheer up.

Right. Cheer her up.

Can we help?

We can help you.

Looks as if

I am about to have surgery.

When they performed

plastic surgery on me,

was my fate

handed over to someone else?

I couldn't even decide who I could be.

Forget about him.

Just be yourself.

You know what, Qianyi?

You almost died, and now I have a second chance.

I don't care about starting over.

It doesn't matter if you are the one who loved me

or the one who lost her memory.

It doesn't matter how I feel.

It's all about how you feel.

Is this for me?

Does it look like you?

You are just like

my blessing.

The kids are so adorable.

Have you considered that

maybe we can move here

after the event ends?

Just live like this.

What do you say?

Can you really give it all up?

I care more about how you feel.

I really like it here.

Then it's settled.

I will start preparing things when we go back.

Deal.

Deal.

Deal.

You are you.

I know you are not her.

I've fallen in love with you.

Liar.

I love you.

I love you.

What's wrong?

You alright?

Here, sit here.

Just sit there.

Go.

Did I scare you?

Pass me the ball.

Here. Pass me.

Pass me the ball. Pass me.

Here. Here. Here.

Here.

Does it look like him?

Does it?

What do you think?

Do I look different?

You are a totally different person.

Then I am not

Luo Qianyi anymore.

I am Song Xiaodong.

Alright. Let's go out and take a walk.

Xiaodong.

Alright.

Girl, is this a new trend?

Why would you wear a mask while eating?

Please enjoy.

Thank you.

What are you afraid of?

Do you really think that people here can recognize you?

You rich people

think too highly of yourselves.

People like us

would now care about some violinist.

We would at most gossip about

how Huo Youze has humiliated himself.

So just rest assured.

Just be who you are. Then you will be safe.

Also...

What?

If someone recognizes you,

we can just move somewhere else.

I can make a living wherever I am.

I can move somewhere else.

Not us.

I can also make a living.

I am going to enjoy freedom.

I have to warn you here.

It's impossible for me

to save you every time.

What are you talking about? What will I do?

Right. I have an operation at two.

I have to go now.

Just go then.

I will pay the bill. Take your time.

Bye.

Bye.

Welcome.

Are you hiring people?

Yes.

Come on in.

Alright.

Have some water.

Thank you.

So this is how it works.

You will get paid by working hours,

and our rate is slightly higher than the market standard.

But you need to learn Japanese.

You may also have to work overtime.

If the customers don't leave,

there is nothing we can do about it.

Alright, no problem.

Are you sure?

That's great.

Then just come tomorrow.

Remember to bring your papers.

Your ID, residence permit, and health report.

We are not doing big business,

but rest assured,

we will buy insurance for you.

I don't have any of those.

I promise I will work really hard.

I am really hard-working.

I am afraid that's not okay.

You have to have those.

I am afraid you have to leave.

Ma'am, please think about this.

Ma'am.

Welcome.

Two bowls of ramen for table five.

Alright.

Welcome.

Table for two.

Sorry, I don't speak Japanese.

Sorry.

I don't speak Japanese.

I'm really sorry.

Welcome.

Welcome.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I am really sorry.

Two beers, please.

Beers, alright.

Two bowls of seafood ramen.

Alright.

And eggplant.

Alright. Just a moment.

One serving of spicy eggplant.

Two bowls of seafood ramen.

Spicy tofu, please.

Spicy tofu.

The spicy tofu here

is spicier than that in Japan.

Are you okay with that?

I guess so.

It's alright.

Alright, spicy tofu.

Your food will be ready right away.

Thank you.

One more spicy tofu here.

Come here.

Alright.

Miss,

I mean,

you are making this really difficult for me.

I have my reasons.

I don't have my ID with me,

and I can't get new ones.

Well,

let me ask you this.

Do you live far away?

Just nearby. I can walk here.

That's close.

Sounds like you are my neighbor.

Your neighbor?

Yes.

I can have my neighbor help me out here.

Right. You are so busy.

Come over and help me.

And I can give you some pocket money

to get food.

Thank you.

Then I should get back to work.

I don't know your name yet.

My name is Luo...

My name is Song Xiaodong.

Just call me Xiaodong.

Xiaodong.

Thank you, ma'am.

Thank you. See you next time.

You're here.

You asked me to come over for dinner.

Right.

Then what...

I am working. Isn't it great?

I am off right now.

Just sit here and wait for me.

I will get changed.

Why are you in such a hurry to make money?

Of course I am.

Wait.

Here.

Seafood ramen.

Two.

I don't need you to pay the rent.

I also make food for you.

If you need money, I can also borrow you some.

Why are you in such a hurry?

It's not the same.

It's the only way

I can feel alive.

Is it not?

Right.

Have they got you insurance

for working here?

I am telling you.

You have to get the insurance for on-the-job injuries.

I don't even have my ID.

What can they get me?

Thank god I am smart.

The owner thinks that I am capable

and hard-working,

so she asked me to stay.

You don't have your ID.

It does make things more difficult.

Buying train tickets and plane tickets.

Going to the hospital.

You can do none of that.

You can help me with the hospital.

As for the tickets,

I don't think I need them.

But,

I don't think

I can help you forever.

Rest assured.

I won't keep bothering you.

Just rest assured.

It's not what I mean.

Let me.

Ramen coming.

Thank you.

No problem.

Thank you.

You two make a good couple.

It's not what you think.

Thank you for your hard work today.

Keep up the good work.

Let's finish the ramen.

I will take care of the bill.

By the way,

someone came to me a couple of days ago.

He said he's a retired security guard.

His name's Feng.

Just came back from Japan.

He said he's looking for a girl

who went missing on the day of the avalanche.

From Japan?

How did he find you?

Maybe it's because

I contacted the hospital in Japan.

I know something about the survivors,

and he's found it out.

What did he say?

He said maybe you are not Luo Qianyi.

How did he find it out?

He knows your past pretty well.

I am just not sure

whether he's a friend.

Why?

Have you forgotten

how did you enter my place?

I picked your lock.

Apart from that,

what about your stunts?

So you are trying to say that

I might be

a special agent.

You are indeed optimistic.

I was thinking that

maybe you got yourself in trouble in Japan.

In trouble?

Have you recalled anything?

I remember that

someone was chasing me.

Chasing you?

Stop.

Dad.

Run.

Stop. Stop.

That's all I can think of.

Mr. Huo,

something happened.

Yesterday, the company

rejected our proposal for next year's budget.

They said they may have to reconsider the Color Initiative.

Alright.

I will take care of it.

Then I will leave it to you.

What's wrong with these young people?

Never discussed anything with us.

Who do they think we are?

Just look at our stock shares.

The price keeps falling.

They always make decisions on their own.

We can always discuss,

right?

Always rushing into things.

Exactly.

Hello, uncles.

Youze is sick, so he can't make it.

I am here to represent him.

Sun,

we don't want to cause trouble.

Mr. Huo has made such a mess.

You need to fix it for us.

This is quite a scandal.

And our stock price keeps falling.

A man who can't control his wife

is taking care of such a big company.

What a joke. How humiliating.

Youze has caused such a big scandal.

It has made us all humiliated.

Right.

This is what we are going to do.

I am in charge of the company right now.

If you want anything,

just let me know.

You?

Who are you?

Can you really make what we want happen?

Sun?

What can she do?

I don't mean to offend you,

but you are barely his mistress.

More like a pet.

Huo Youze has left this to us.

He has caused us trouble

and we have to fix it for him.

What now?

I am really speechless.

Right. How can he do this?

He's so irresponsible.

Right. Irresponsible.

Mr. Li,

I think you've sold most of your stock shares.

Youze respects you,

so he lets you sit here.

But I don't.

I can tell you to get out anytime.

What did you say?

Who do you think you are?

How dare you talk to me like that.

I am telling you. We are all long-standing members.

You can't talk to us like that.

Mr. Li.

How could you say such things?

Sun,

it's not the time to threaten us.

Look at our stock price.

What else can you do?

I believe that the trust people have in us

is not solely based on

what they see in Mr. Huo.

I will not let Youze

and what we have been working on for so long

be ruined for just a scandal.

You can do whatever you want.

You say that I am his pet.

I am indeed.

But,

If Mingyou is going down,

no one can escape.

She has a point.

I am still working on

some of the top projects.

And I would like your support.

Please enjoy.

Ma'am, I need to go out for a sec,

Alright.

Where is my wallet?

Stop.

Stop!

What's wrong with you?

Give me my wallet back.

Who took your wallet?

People, look over here. She's a thief.

I saw it. You have my wallet.

What did you see?

I didn't steal your wallet.

Then where is it now?

Stop.

You need to explain what happened.

You just walked past me.

Stop that.

It's you.

You have my wallet.

I am going to search you if you don't take it out.

I didn't steal your wallet.

Just find it yourself.

Don't pin this on me.

Stop.

Stop that.

Stop.

Don't touch me.

Look at her. It must be her.

Just search. Can you find it?

Sir,

is that yours?

On the ground.

It is mine.

Blamed the wrong one.

I am really sorry.

Did I steal your wallet?

You dropped it yourself. How could you blame me?

Nothing to watch here.

I really thought she stole it.

What was that?

Never do that again.

Don't ever steal things again.

Clean your mouth.

Thank you.

Have we met?

No.

I can't tell.

What?

I can't tell that we are in the same business.

You should be able to do anything with that face.

You were so great.

I didn't notice it at all

when you took the wallet from me.

Actually, I was abducted

when I was a kid.

Then I started

my career as a thief.

Turns out you and I are so alike.

Maybe I started doing this at a younger age than you.

It's great that you can still do proper work.

I want that too.

Why would you say that?

I was also abducted when I was little.

I lived with my dad and Xiaodong.

I don't know anything except stealing things.

If I could,

I would also find a proper job.

That Xiaodong you've just mentioned?

Who is she?

She's just like my sister.

She also sounds like one.

Maybe,

your name is Song Xiaodong.

Xiaodong, clean up that table.

Go on.

Welcome.

Xiaodong?

Another beer, please.

Soda here, please.

Alright, just a sec.

Your soda.

Miss Youxi is coming.

Miss Youxi. Just say something.

Miss Youxi. Miss Youxi.

Miss Youxi. Just say something.

Say something to the camera.

Do you really have nothing to say?

Miss Youxi.

Youxi.

Where have you hidden my daughter?

Who is your daughter?

Tell me. Where is my daughter?

I don't know your daughter.

Song Xiaodong.
