- Amitabha... - My dear

- Please give me a son this time - It is all fated

whether you'll give birth to a son or a daughter, you shouldn't mind that

It is easy for you to say

If you don't want to have sons

why do you have to get yourself three wives in just three years?

Why would you mind that, my dear?

And didn't they also give birth to daughters?

If those vixens give birth to sons before I do

how will I live my life?

My dear, you shouldn't say bad words in front of the Bodhisattva

Forgive my sins...

Amitabha...

Madam, you may offer incense to the Bodhisattva

My dear...

Guard! Guard!

Yes, sir?

It is a trap! Escort my wife out!

Quick!

What do you want?

We don’t want anything

But we wish to have Your Excellency to follow us

or should we call you, General Sun Fu?

Who are you?

You...

This is some token of gratitude from my family

I hope you will accept it

Amitabha

Abbess

I saw that the sedans of the mayor and his wife have arrived

can you lead us to the side entrance

so that we won't bump into them?

Is the mayor here?

I must have overslept

Follow me and leave at the side entrance

then you won't bump into them

Where am I? Who are you?

You mustn't ask questions. But we do have questions for you

What questions?

Where is General Li Si Xing?

Is he dead? Or is he alive?

I don't know any General Li Si Xing

I... I have no idea what you are talking about

If you continue to deny, I will kill you

I... I really have no idea what are you talking about

Sun Fu, do you really think that your Manchuria name

Akesaina Mu Tai

can fool us?

I am not the mayor. I swear

I am just a decoy

Decoy?

If the real Sun Fu is not here

aren't Mo Sheng and Qian Ying in danger?

Your Excellency

Do you have any news of them?

We have searched the area but we didn't see both of them

Maybe they are just slacking

Unlikely. There must be a trap

Guard this place

Follow me

Outrageous!

What are you doing in this sacred place?

Leave!

Your Excellency, we are worried about your safety

Don't I look all right?

What do you have to worry about? Prepare the sedans

Yes, sir

Arrest them!

How dare you wish to take my life?

Who are you?

Where is my wife?

If you come clean

I might spare your lives

If you choose not to...

Archers!

Wait!

My husband!

Let my wife go now!

If she is hurt, even the slightest

I will have all of you killed!

Sun Fu, I didn't expect a coward

and a traitor like you

will be this loyal to your woman?

Who are you?

Sun Fu, where is General Li Si Xing?

Is he dead? Or is he alive?

I didn't know the Ming loyalists like you

still have any influences

Where is General Li Si Xing?

You have no right

to bargain with me

If you order your archers to retreat and let my friends go

we will let your wife go

Two for two!

You will let my wife and my decoy go

Fine. You have my word

Move!

Move!

Archers!

You broke your word. How despicable!

Haven't you been taught that?

There is no use in being a gentleman Only winning matters

Shoot them! Don't let anyone escape!

Watch out!

Qing Cheng!

The arrow is covered with poison I must suck out the toxin at once

or your life will be endangered Just hang in there

No! Eldest senior, if there are wounds in your mouth

you will be poisoned as well

You are the Crown Prince of the Ming Dynasty

I can't let you risk your life for mine

Just let them look for the antidote

Don't talk

Be careful, eldest senior

Buns!

Fresh buns!

Fresh buns for sale!

You wait here. I am going up to wait for someone

Yes, sir

Fresh buns for sale!

It is strange that big brother is not here yet

He doesn't seem like someone who will break his promise

Flowers for sale...

- Flowers for sale! - Sweets!

It is a lovely day...

Flowers for sale, come have a look!

Pinwheels! Colourful pinwheels!

Buns!

Fresh buns for sale!

Do you want to buy some flowers?

I've been trying to crack this lock for a day

my fingers are aching

All the gods and goddess around the world

please show me some mercy

please help me to crack this lock!

Finally!

Brother Liu, please speak on my behalf to the premier

and convey to him

that I have long severed ties with the Ming loyalists

My allegiance lies with the Qing Dynasty and the premier

Since the Ming loyalists tried to assassinate you

it is clear that you are no longer with them

Yes...

Then I shall return to the Capital

All right, farewell

Farewell...

Go...

Can this coward-looking person be Sun Fu?

But shouldn't him be in Brother Zhu's captive?

Have they failed their mission?

Your Excellency, it has been a while since you last visited our brothel

Our ladies have been missing you so badly

Madam, get me a virgin girl

- This... - What's wrong?

Are you not willing to give me one?

- That is not it - Madam...

Don't you forget who is in charge here

This Chunfeng Brothel is still under my jurisdiction

All right

But this girl is very stubborn and rude

I must first make sure she won't say anything stupid that will anger you

Quickly bring me to her

- All right - Is the girl they are talking about

referring to me?

Then I must leave at once

Wait a minute. Since Brother Zhu had failed the mission

shouldn't I use this chance to make it right?

Yes, I must go back there

- Don't cry... - Madam...

I won't steal anymore

can you not send me to the court?

Silly girl, you have such a pretty face

why would I want to send you to the court?

- Really? - Of course!

I will even give you the silver jug you stole

and you can have whatever food we have here

Everything you want

I will give it to you what do you think?

Madam, are you playing with me?

I am a woman of my word

However, if you want me to let you go

shouldn't you do me a favour in return?

- What favour? - Go spend a night with the mayor

and make sure you keep him happy

If you do, I will forgive you for the theft

and give you whatever I have promised you

But madam, I...

A young and pretty girl like you

will be wasted if you are to be put behind bars

You are a smart girl

you know what to do

But I am not married!

That is exactly why I want you to spend the night with the mayor

Sooner or later you will have to do it

You can choose between your innocence and your freedom

the choice is yours

Just... one night?

Just one night

Then... I should choose freedom

But madam, please keep your word

regarding the things that you promised me

Don't worry. I am a woman of my word. I live by principles

Quickly... Quickly dress her up

Lady, please

Brothers, we have not met in a while

- Indeed - What a happy night

Let's have this last cup of wine, cheers

- Cheers... - Cousin, are you getting drunk?

Your Excellency, please

Quickly... Greet His Excellency

Greetings, Your Excellency

How do you know...

It's... Madam who told me

that you are the mayor and I shall keep you entertained

This...

is indeed a virgin

Leave us...

Serve him well!

Not bad

Your Excellency, just now Madam had told me that

someone had tried to assassinate you today

Let me serve you a few cup of wine to calm you down

- Sure - Who was this fearless

to even attempt to assassinate you?

They were just a few small time hooligans, there is nothing to fear

Then... are they caught now?

It is a shame they got away

Let's not talk about that anymore

Tonight you are going to have a good time with me

Yes... Definitely

We should forget about all these unhappy things

and just drink

Good

But why does this wine tastes a bit different than what I usually have?

This wine is purposely made

for you to calm down

What do you think?

It smells as good as you

Your Excellency, should... should we play dice?

Sure... Let's play

- Let me start first - Sure

You've lost Your Excellency, you've lost!

- Fill the cup... - You've lost...

you have to drink the whole cup

No problem

Let's wait and see how I will handle you, little devil

Let's do it again...

Come on, let's play

If you lose again, you will have to drink one more cup

But how come I am always the loser?

Perhaps I am really lucky today?

Come... Let's drink Your Excellency...

Let me rest for a while

- Don't you want more drink? - I have to rest...

Your Excellency?

Your Excellency?

You thought you can beat me in playing dice?

No one in the Pearl Valley had ever defeated me

Who are you to beat me?

Oh my goodness

this man is as heavy as a dead donkey

His men are guarding outside what should I do?

I've got it!

We have looked for Yi Huan

in every restaurant and inn in the city

where has she gone to?

At first, I was mad at her for not standing by at the riverside

but now I only wish that she is safe

Look at that!

That is Yi Huan's signal

Eldest senior, Yi Huan said she is in Chun Feng Brothel

But where is this Chun Feng Brothel?

What is Yi Huan doing

in a brothel?

Look at this

Yi Huan said she had..

caught Sun Fu in the brothel

and want us to come as soon as possible

Brother Zhu, you are here finally

Slowly, Sister Fan

This is Sun Fu

But don't you worry

I have already intoxicated him

It is indeed him

Yi Huan, why are you dressed like this?

I didn't have a choice

Please don't be mad at me, Brother Zhu

How can I not be mad at you?

If it is not for you leaving your post

we wouldn't have been surrounded by Sun Fu

and Qing Cheng wouldn't have been injured because of me

What happened to Sister Xue? Is it serious?

She has taken the antidote and is better now

She just needs to use her training to force out the remaining toxin

After we failed our mission

Sun Fu ordered a city-wide search for us

we couldn't go back to the inn we were staying in

Luckily Junior Ye had planned for the worst

and prepared a safe house for us

so that we can temporarily hide

and Qing Cheng can have a place to heal her injury

Eldest senior, to be fair, the failure of our mission

is not Yi Huan's fault entirely

that she didn't wait for us at the rendezvous point

It was mainly because this old man is way too cunning

and we had underestimated him

Forget it, you have made it right by catching Sun Fu

The thing is, this place is surrounded by his men

we have to find a way to smuggle him out of this place

Let's use our old trick

Young Master Long the restaurant is closing soon

I don't think your friend is coming

Why don't we go back to your residence first?

If not, the mistress is going to blame me again

Brother Zhu, you look really funny

We are in serious business don't be playful

I don't think I should call you Brother Zhu anymore

I should call you...

Sister Zhu?

- Sister Zhu... - Cut the nonsense

Let's go

- Watch your steps - Hold on

What are you doing?

Madam Wang is sick

Sister Fan and Sister Zhu is bringing her to the physician

Sir

Madam Wang ate too much and fell sick

just let us send her to the physician as soon as possible

- Go... - All right...

Move along...

Thank you

Little junior, how is it?

You nailed it, Brother Ye

Not only you look like him

but your voice and your movements are all perfect imitation

No wonder that the Fifth Master had always said that

you are the best student he ever had

Of course

Little junior, we just need to act for four hours

By that time, I think they are already out of the city

We will escape after that

Your Excellency, how is the food?

Do you want to have more food?

There's no need for that Don't disturb us

Yes... Definitely A moment of happiness is priceless

It is really uncomfortable in that mask

Brother Ye, let's eat

Don't waste such good food

You can have it I'll just watch you eat

Little junior

I have never seen you dressed this way

You look really beautiful

This dress is not comfortable at all

and it is so ugly, how can you say it is beautiful?

But there is only one dress I had no choice

Since I'm wearing Sun Fu's clothes

you can wear mine if you don't mind

How can it be?

In four hours time, we will have to leave in these clothes

You will pretend to be Sun Fu and bring me out

If I change clothes how we are going to leave?

Don't worry

If anything happens later

I will protect you

Brother Ye, you really treat me good

Since young, whenever I made a mistake

even when father and Brother Zhu were mad at me

you were always on my side

Really?

Then between the eldest senior and myself, who do you like more?

This...

I have never thought about this.

Although Brother Zhu is harsh to me

I know, most of the time it is for my own good

Both of you are my brothers

I don't make any distinction

To be ranked the same as the eldest senior in your heart

I am already content with it

Brother Ye, please

don't look at me like that

What do you mean?

I... sense a little bit of sadness from the way you look at me

That makes me uncomfortable

Little junior, I'm content that

you can still sense my sadness

You must never tell anyone

about our conversation tonight

especially the eldest senior

Why is that so?

Aren't we best friends that keep no secrets from each other?

My little sister

you are indeed an innocent girl

To the eldest senior you are his fiancée

To everyone in the Pearl Valley

you are the future Princess Consort to the Crown Prince

In fact what I've said to you just now

is already amounting to treason

Hence this can only be our little secret

you must tell no one about it do you understand?

Brother Ye, since you also think that it is not good for you to say that

then you shouldn't say it again

I wasn't comfortable listening to it as well

All right...

I have never said it before

and I will never say it in the future. Is that all right?

What am I going to do?

Your Excellency, you can't do this!

- You can't take this! - Take it

move faster

Take everything valuable

- Take them all - Your... Your Excellency...

are you still drunk?

You... you are taking all of the brothel's assets

and forfeiting them?

You forced decent ladies into prostitution

I am already merciful by not prosecuting you

Your Excellency

don't... don't you forget

who is the mastermind behind this brothel?

I'm not afraid of the mastermind

I don't believe that

anyone can disregard the laws of our Great Qing Dynasty

Your Excellency you wasn't like this before

Of course, His Excellency only fooled around with you

in order to investigate this case

Now he has had me as a witness

there is no need of keeping you

You? It is you!

What kind of drug did you give him?

You changed him into a completely different person in one night!

That is right, it is me What are you going to do?

How impressive you are

that you can make His Excellency listen to you

in just a single night!
