[Truth or Dare - Episode 16]

[Prosperity From the Beginning of Time(自古繁華)]

Are you in love with the Prince Consort?

You-! No, I-!

W-what are you saying, how could I-?

How could I fall for an idiot like him, I'd rather hate him!

Then why are you acting so out of character?

What happened last night?

I-I-I already told you!

Last night, I just accidentally fell into the water.

Stop asking, I couldn't possibly have feelings for him.

I hope that is the case. After all, Third Young Master Mei

is the princess' arranged husband.

Once she returns, you must give him back.

That's right. I...

We agreed on this from the beginning.

I know.

Have you fed the horses?

Daughter!

I was so worried! Come and sit!

Come.

-Uncle He, how is your body? -It's fine!

Um...how are you all doing?

-Nan Batian promised not to marry me. -That's good.

But...his condition is for Xiao Bao to capture the Night-Spirited Hero.

Night-Spirited Hero?

Night-Spirited Hero is a very skilled martial artist.

-Capturing him will be difficult. -Yes.

Xiao Bao failed more than once before.

He almost got killed this time.

I think Night-Spirited Hero is a good person.

I don't want to drag him down because of my matters.

Let me ask you something.

Did Xiao Bao get hurt?

Alright, alright.

If Xiao Bao is injured, that means they won't do anything for now.

We must use this opportunity to flee!

We failed on all our other attempts!

It won't be easy!

-Do you know why you failed? -Why?

I only knew when I came to the fort this time.

They have a maze outside the fort.

That's why no one can escape.

A maze? If it's a maze,

we can escape if we find the diagram for the maze!

But where could that diagram be?

Uncle He, this diagram has to do with Green Dragon Fort's survival.

Nan Batian must personally guard it.

-How about I go look? -That's right!

You go?

No no no, that's too dangerous, we must find someone else.

Then...then I'll go find Nan Xiang.

Have you lost your mind? Nan Xiang would love to kill you!

You'd be sending yourself to your death if you go now!

There's nothing else we can do now.

Nan Batian hasn't been in the fort recently.

I'll go ask Nan Xiang.

-It's fine if he's not here. Then you- -Hey, are you two done yet?

All done, we'll be done right away!

Uncle He, trust me!

-Then be careful! -Okay.

Father! Take care!

I got it! You take care too!

Take good care of yourself!

Come come come! Make your bets!

Let's bet.

Come come come! Hurry!

Eldest Miss.

What are you doing here?

I want to be friends with you.

What, you're tired of living?

I'm warning you, keep your distance!

Look, my hands are all better, my illness is all gone!

If you keep picking on me, Xiao Bao will dislike you more and more.

That's my problem.

What's it to you?

I can make Xiao Bao fall for you!

-Leave! -Go go go.

- Wait, then my-- - Just wait.

You're really not lying to me?

Why are you helping me?

I'm going to marry your father sooner or later.

I don't want to keep fighting with you.

Why not help each other right now instead?

Then...you are sure you can make Xiao Bao fall for me?

If we can become friends and live peacefully,

he will definitely be happy!

Also, he'll think you are magnanimous and understanding.

-He will definitely have good feelings for you. -Nonsense!

Xiao Bao and I grew up together!

If he wanted to like me, he would have long ago!

Why would he have to wait until now?

Look. I've only known him for a short period of time,

but he already likes me, right?

So, you must trust me.

I can help you!

Okay!

Then starting from now, I'll protect you.

You make Xiao Bao fall in love with me.

This is what a man does.

Women just need to hold hands!

We are just in a mutually beneficial relationship!

Don't touch me!

Since I promised to help you win Xiao Bao's heart,

from now on, you must listen to me.

You are too unfeminine!

Xiao Bao wants a gentle wife.

He doesn't need a brother to fight with him.

You-!

Come on, come with me.

Maintain a small smile.

Let's go!

What are you doing?

What's wrong?

Look! Woah!

Just tell me what you want to learn, I'll teach you.

I just want to learn what Xiao Bao likes.

He will definitely like you.

What's going on?

Why is she dressed like that?

What's going on with you two?

Am I still asleep?

Why did you pinch me?

Looks like it's not a dream.

-Xiao Bao, did you rest well? -Not bad.

Xiao Bao, are you alright?

Come here, I have something to say to you.

I-I-I-!

Is Nan Xiang bullying you again?

She didn't!

Don't be afraid. If she bullies you, just tell me!

She really didn't!

Then what's going on with you two?

I live every day here in fear.

One more friend is better than one more enemy.

That's true.

No matter what, I support you.

Don't worry. I will definitely capture Night-Spirited Hero.

Then, Godfather won't...

I know. You don't like hearing me say things like that.

But...I think...

What you need to do now is recuperate!

Don't think about anything else, okay?

-What are you two talking about? -Nothing.

You two get back to what you were doing.

-Go go go. -Come, let's go talk in my room.

Even your woman has learned to protect herself now.

Xiao Bao, Xiao Bao.

You must do better!

This suits you.Take a look.

Choose one.

Candied hawthorns.

Is this street very fascinating to watch?

Big Brother Situ, what a coincidence! Are you also here to eat wontons?

Yes, I had nothing to do and came out for a stroll.

Miss, may I share the table with you?

Please have a seat, Big Brother Situ.

Thank you.

What's wrong? Something on your mind?

You look so unhappy.

You've noticed?

It's a long story,

so I don't know where to start.

You've got something on your mind.

Then, all you do is wait. Wait for the fog to clear and everything will be clarified.

That's true, all I can do is wait for now.

I can't do anything else.

I can only hope... that there's good news soon.

But, you must remember that no matter what you come across,

I'll always support you.

Thanks, Big Brother Situ.

You're such a nice person.

Then, the wontons are on me today.

I guarantee you'll be full.

- Seriously? - Seriously.

Sir, two bowls of wontons!

No, we want four bowls!

- Five bowls of wontons, five! - Okay.

Five bowls? Can you finish that much?

It's not for me, you eat it all.

- For me? - Yes, so you'll fatten up.

Alright, I'll do my best.

You can, I can't. Let's have a bowl together.

Where are you going?

I just remembered that I needed to tell Qiao Yun to do something.

Siheng can go do it.

My... brain isn't working.

I already told her earlier, I already did.

Have a seat and drink some tea.

- I'm not thirsty. - Not thirsty?

It seems that you've drank a lot of tea in the morning.

What do you mean by that?

Qingzhou is only so big.

I already know it all.

You were having tea with another man at the restaurant.

Are you talking about Big Brother Situ?

He and I are just regular friends, don't get it wrong.

You call him "Big Brother Situ"?

That's right.

He's a few years older than me, is it wrong for me to call him big brother?

You are a dignified princess and also, the wife of a general.

How could you casually call a stranger big brother?

You're being so strange.

I-- What's wrong with me calling him big brother?

Don't tell me you're jealous.

Are you kidding? How could I be jealous?

I'm concerned for your personal safety, got it?

What danger could I be in?

He and I are just regular friends, he doesn't even know my identity.

You should know your status. This is known as simply easy.

Even if he knows, he won't have any other intentions.

Anyways, stay away from him.

You...Older Brother Situ is modest, enthusiastic and has friends.

Unlike you, cold and friendless.

Is this how I am in your heart?

Did I cross the line back there?

Indeed.

Wait a second.

- Did the young master make you investigate the contraband salt? - Yes.

How's that going?

Nevermind. If he doesn't want you speaking about it, then I won't trouble you.

- Go over to the young master. - Yes.

I planted a spy just to follow this.

Once we find any movements regarding the contraband salt, he will report at any time.

The enemies will break out in fury.

We must plan and act.

Relay my instructions to tell A'Rou to keep a close watch on Green Dragon Fort.

Recently, the quieter the Green Dragon Fort has been, the more closely we have to watch.

Yes.

Also, once the person trying to capture the Night-Spirited Hero appears,

we must catch him.

Yes. Rest assured, Young Master.

Who might this be?

Siheng, this--

Look at it, the paint's chipping!

Hurry and get someone to fix it!

Are you concerned about the investigation progress, or are you concerned about me?

W-why would I be concerned about you?

I'm most concerned about eliminating violence, rapes and appeasing the people

and upholding justice.

- Siheng. - Yes.

- Recently, new chefs have joined the Ruyi Restaurant. - R-right!

I heard they have braised pork ribs, West Lake fish with vinegar,

and whatever crab roes with bean curd.

Fortunately, I'm here. Otherwise, the table of food here will be wasted.

Young Master, this chicken isn't bad.

These ribs are--

Young Master, Princess. Do today's dishes suit your taste?

They definitely do. Especially the-- Especially the sweet and sour ribs.

My goodness, they're delicious enough to make me go crazy.

Young Master, I have something to tell you.

Go ahead, what is it?

Don't worry about her, all she does is eat.

Through this period of investigation,

the Salt Gang most likely bribed the Green Dragon Fort to capture the Night-Spirited Hero.

I, for one, want to see how long they can last

in this cat-and-mouse game.

If you trust me, then just say so.

You make me seem as a starving wolf.

Sir, this way, please.

Big Brother Situ!

Greetings, Junior General and Princess.

Big Brother Situ indeed knows my identity.

President Situ, I have long heard of your name.

What a coincidence, Big Brother Situ!

Are you here to eat, too?

Yes, I won't bother you two any further.

This way, please.

By the way, Qingzhou Chamber of Commerce will be holding a celebration three days later.

May I request the pleasure of your company?

What kind of celebration?

It's a big event for Qingzhou.

Although Qingzhou is a military powerhouse

but because it's a safe place, many merchants are willing to come here for business.

So, they'll definitely come that day.

Princess, you have to come, too.

At the time, there will be lots of good food and entertainment, plus performances.

Really?

I'll definitely be there.

I've already had someone sent your invitations to the manor.

When we get back, remember to give me my invitation.

President Situ, please take a seat upstairs.

Did you hear me?

This way, please.

Remember to give me my invitation when we get back.

Are you listening?

Why'd you hit me?

You-- The invitation!

That hurt.

So, you can get hurt?

Of course.

Don't interrupt, give me the invitation.

You want to go that badly?

Of course I want to go, do you not?

They hold this celebration annually. I'm tired of watching this.

Also, didn't you grow up in Qingzhou? Have you not been to it before?

I actually haven't.

These are all things for rich people like you,

Would poor people like us get the chance to attend?

Do you really want to attend the celebration or meet Situ?

Both.

Why can't I go if he invited me?

Your current identity is the princess.

If you go now, you might blow your cover.

Exactly, I have to do a good job pretending to be the princess.

So, that's further why I should go.

Or else, if I don't accept his invitation, it will raise suspicions

and reveal loopholes, right?

Qiao Yun, prepare a set of clothes for me to wear to a celebration.

- Yes. - I--

It's fine, it's fine.

It's fine, it's fine.

Young Master, there's something I don't understand.

What is it?

Regarding the Salt Gang. Ah Rou already found out

that Situ Lin might be involved in this.

- Continue. - Well...

Recently, Princess and Situ have been moving around often.

Why didn't you tell her?

She's... she's naive

and wouldn't realize how complicated people are. Also, regarding the Salt Gang,

the less she knows, the safer it is.

Actually Young Master, you could tell Princess.

If you don't like her being with Situ, just say

you're jealous.

Don't get mad, I spoke too much.

How am I jealous?

Am I that petty? Would I not like her being with Situ Lin?

Young Master, you don't have to explain to me.

Siheng.

Recently, I've noticed that you're always making me mad.

Did I mess with you?

I am the one at fault for anything!

- I shouldn't have spoken aloud about your problems. - It's your fault?

All your fault.

Anyways, you--

Watch over him closely, you must find evidence.

Yes.

Okay, you're laughing?

All you do is giggle and laugh all day, go do your work!

Have I been like that? Have I?

Am I that kind of person?

Mother!

You are very graceful and elegant.

You really are Mei General Manor's

female master.

Your father doesn't like to attend these type of events.

Our outing is representing Mei Manor's reputation.

We cannot let others look down on us.

Chamber of Commerce's celebration.

There may be top families from the capital that show up.

I hope they can see my son's handsome looks.

Completing your marriage is my purpose.

Thank you Mother.

Mother, will Shiqing and the princess be attending?

I have already asked the maids in the Manor to check.

The Princess wants to go,

but Mei Shiqing does not allow her to.

It's fine if that stupid person doesn't attend.

Mother,

it's not early. Let's head out.

Let's go.

Mother, slowly.

Looking at how you are groomed, you really look happening.

But what if Third Young Master is not going?

We already said we will go.

Even if we brace ourselves, we still need to go.

My heart seems to have a drum inside.

It keeps on beating and beating.

Don't worry, after we get there,

we will say hello to everyone and leave. There won't be a problem. Let's go.

A lovely scene of blossoming plant swaying in the breeze.

What are you saying? Is it not pretty?

Your dressing is tacky.

Do you think by criticizing me, I won't attend? It's useless to provoke me.

Prince Consort, do you want to go too?

No.

Waste of time.

Qiao Yun, let's go!

[Qingzhou Chamber of Commerce]

Please come in.

There is so much people here.

Come.

Madam, Second Young Master, it's my honor.

- Forgive me for not going out to receive you. - It's fine.

Today is the grand celebration of Qingzhou Chamber of Commerce.

You must be extremely busy.

No need to waste too much time on us.

What are you looking at?

Nothing. I just want to ask,

did Third Young Master and Princess not come?

Shiqing doesn't like to come to social events.

Naturally, it's not convenient for the princess to attend too.

I see.

Princess.

President Situ, Second Madam, Second Young Master.

It's an honor for you to be here. You add brilliance to Qingzhou Chamber of Commerce.

President Situ, you are too polite.

This spectacular event indeed lives up to its name.

I'm humbled.

Princess, how about I show you around?

Sure.

Please.

Look, this mountain here.

Wait, why is she here?

If she steals the limelight, aren't we letting Mei Shiqing blows his trumpet?

If she embarrasses herself, she will be embarrassing Mei Shiqing too.

Who knows?

Let's go, let's go check it out.

Everybody be aware!

Firstly, welcome everyone to Qingzhou Chamber of Commerce.

This is my honor.

-Okay. -Okay.

Last year's celebration was already attended by these people.

It's more festive that you are here this year.

Second Madam, you must be teasing me.

Everybody knows

every celebration we will invite people

who have talent and education

to write an inscription for us.

Your second brother wrote the inscription for last year.

-It should also still be him. -This time, it will also not be an exception.

But the most important is, this time we invited Princess.

-Princess. -Princess.

Everyone knows that the princess is the top talent in the capital.

Let's invite her to write the inscription. Alright?

Okay!

Mother.

Second Brother has always been the one to write the inscription.

- It's my first time in Qingzhou... - That's right.

I'm not familiar with the celebration too.

Hence, I think it's still better that Second Brother do it.

That's true.

He has been writing the inscriptions year after year.

This year, let's let Second Young Master have a break!

-No-- -Yes!

Princess, stop declining this.

Exactly! Everyone welcome her!

Okay!

Princess, stop declining. This way, please.

Princess! Princess!

-Mother. -I am so pissed.

Please.

It's such an honor to invite the princess to write the inscription for this year.

Yes.

Wait!

What's going on?

He's here.

Love and reconciliation of a couple will complete all aspects of cultural activities.

Princess and I will write the inscription together.

She's indeed the princess.

Didn't you say you weren't coming?

How can I watch you embarrass yourself if I don't come?

- Nice! - Nice!

Amazing.

You let me win.

President Situ is very refined and elegant.

This is my trophy.

What's that saying?

This is a retained item by Chamber of Commerce. We call it

"Adherence to the principles of honesty and integrity in business."

One must pay attention to fairness in doing business

and adhere to the principles of honesty and integrity.

Everyone, regardless of your high or low status,

can adopt your own strengths to grab this flower wreath.

One who grabbed this will have a year of good fortune.

Good fortune? You even believe in this?

Of course. I'm also going to

present this good fortune to the princess.

Princess?

Good fortune?

Since this is such a fun game,

why don't you play with me?

Third Young Master, you have this pleasure too?

Of course, I should present this good fortune

to my wife.

Obedience is better than politeness.

Wait for me.

Look at these two. On the surface, they seem to be learning from each other.

but secretly, they are exerting efforts.

Men, other than competing for power and benefits,

it's for women.

What do you think?

President Situ, your skill is not bad.

When conducting business everywhere, of course, one should learn some martial arts for self defence.

I won't go easy on you then.

Sorry to offend you.

Older Brother Situ, are you alright?

Excellent! Well fought!

Excellent! Well fought!

Your martial arts is amazing. I admire you.

- Great skill. - Excellent.

It's just a game.

Shijing, is there a need to use so much strength?

That's right, Shijing. You used too much strength.

Why are you so greedy for victory?

It's supposed to be a happy occasion. Look at how he

beat up President Situ.

Kicking and punching are ruthless. Thank you, President Situ, for the good fortune

and letting me win too.

Please don't say that.

Princess.

Princess, don't be angry.

Don't be angry. You misunderstood Young Master.

I know you don't like him

but you shouldn't have used so much force too.

I didn't do it on purpose.

You had the intention.

Princess.

Young Master, she didn't know anything.

Why didn't you explain to her?

Unreasonable. Let's go home.

You are a dignified junior general and you were so violent to a commoner.

Is it because you dislike him as my friend?

I can use my life to guarantee that this is not the case.

Moreover, this Situ Lin is not a good person.

- I will tell you honestly... - Siheng, shut up.

How could Situ Lin be a bad person? Make yourself clear.

This doesn't concern you. Leave now.

You are not done talking.

Why do you think Older Brother Situ is not a good person?

Why are you so concerned about him?

He's my friend, I'm naturally worried about him.

Why did you hurt him?

Since you think I hurt him, what use is it for me to explain?

It's obviously your fault and you still have this attitude.

You're so disappointing!

I must remind you.

What?

Siheng was right, stay away from that Situ Lin!

Do I not even have the privilege to make friends?

Some things aren't as simple as they appear.

His business is not that clean.

I won't listen to you! He's my friend and I trust him.

You--
