And The Winner Is Love

Episode 8

Son Wei Zhen’s Tomb

Xuezhi,

you are a good girl.

But

your father killed people like flies.

We have to take revenge

for our son.

Please don’t blame us.

It’s okay. Miss Chong.

It’s alright now.

It’s alright.

Don’t cry.

Why did you try to kill her?

She is Chong Xuezhi,

Young Master of Hall of Flames.

So what?

Chong Ye went mad during practicing

and killed our son Wei Zhen.

He ruined

our family.

Now we have a chance

to get his daughter.

It’s for us

to take revenge for our son.

Chong Ye killed your son,

so you kill his daughter for revenge?

In this case, what's the difference

between you and Chong Ye?

Leader Chong Ye

killed people by mistake

because he went mad.

If he was a bit awake,

that wouldn’t happen.

But you,

you know

Miss Chong has nothing to do with that.

You still want to kill her.

In this case,

will you really feel relieved?

Zhen.

Dear.

Don’t cry.

Zhen.

Zhen, we are useless.

We can’t take revenge for you.

Zhen.

I’m sorry.

Zhen.

Zhen.

We are useless.

I’m sorry.

Zhen.

Zhen.

Uncle Wei.

Aunt Wei.

My father did make

a lot of mistakes before his death

and killed many innocent people.

I know

I can’t make up

no matter what I do.

But I hope

you can give me

and Hall of Flames an opportunity

to make up for my father’s mistakes.

I promise

Hall of Flames

will never make the same mistake again.

This kind of thing

will never happen again.

Zhen.

I’m sorry.

-I’m sorry. -Uncle Wei.

Aunt Wei.

Thank you for saving my life.

Please get back first.

I’m sorry.

Miss Xuezhi.

Thank you for the tinder agaric.

I’m sorry.

Let’s go.

But Zhen…

Come on.

They saved me

and cured me.

But they tried to kill me because of hatred.

Yes.

Anyway, they are kind people.

It’s just because

everyone has untied knots in the mind.

After father died,

it became a scar in my mind.

It’s always painful.

Every time when it’s been cured,

someone will tear it again.

I really don’t have a way

to walk out?

It’s all over.

Don’t think too much.

By the way, Miss Chong.

You still haven’t told me

what happened on that day.

When I returned to Hall of Flames,

I was ambushed

and fell down the cliff.

Uncle Wei found me

and took me home for cure.

Did you see who did that?

I didn’t see clearly their faces.

But I’m sure they are people from Hall of Flames.

The head of the killers

used Water Sword Knack of Hall of Flames.

Now,

I’m sure

it's the traitors of Hall of Flames.

Well.

It narrows the range.

Childe Shangguan,

thank you for saving me again.

You owe me again.

But

you don’t need to pay back in a hurry.

I promised you

I would protect you.

So,

I will surely try my best.

No,

I will pay you back

in multiples.

I don’t want to owe anybody

especially the martial arts world.

Miss Chong.

You are broad-minded.

Even men

in the world

can't compare with you.

But remember,

you don’t owe the world anything.

It’s the world

asking for too much from you.

I’d pay all that

my father owed

and let it go.

Later,

what's your plan?

Return Hall of Flames.

Okay.

This time,

I will protect you on the entire way.

Sword Manor

To Leader Lin Zongxing Nine Moves was destroyed. Chong Xuezhi died. Yuwen Muyuan succeeds her as Leader. Hall of Flames

Nine Moves of Lotus God

was destroyed.

What?

It

was destroyed.

Chong Xuezhi died.

Yuwen Muyuan

succeeds her as Leader.

Xuezhi died?

How?

It’s not mentioned in the letter.

To Leader Lin Zongxing Sword Manor//Hall of Flames

But I think

it's not natural death.

Master, you mean

Young Master

was murdered?

Yes.

Really unlucky.

Hall of Flames is a thorn in other sects’ side.

They’ve always wanted a chance to make it hot for Hall of Flames.

Now that Young Master is dead,

I’m afraid

they have the opportunity.

Father,

we are on good terms with Hall of Flames.

Should we do something about it?

Hall of Flames

suffers such a great change,

so they must be greatly undermined.

It doesn’t do any good

to Sword Manor.

Leader,

Hall of Flames has deep roots and large scope,

only if the sects fight together,

otherwise,

nobody can do anything to them.

Even if they changed a new Leader,

it's no need for you to worry.

You make sense.

But

even if Hall of Flames

has deep roots

and a galaxy of talents,

I’m still afraid the other sects

will really fight against Hall of Flames together.

The things

happened all in a sudden.

However,

since Hall of Flames has spread the news,

it means they have prepared well.

We don’t need to excessively intervene.

Anyway,

we still need to take precautions.

Qingmei.

Yes.

Go to Hall of Flames quickly.

Check it out

in the name

of sympathy.

If anything happens,

report it to me immediately.

Yes, Master.

By the way,

will I go by myself?

Should I have someone

accompany?

It makes sense.

You can

have four disciples with you.

Yes.

Father.

Don’t worry.

I won’t allow Hall of Flames

to suffer any loss.

Really?

It’s great.

Good.

She finally died.

That’s what I want.

Come some people.

Chief.

Prepare a bell for me.

Yes.

Heavens. Hells.

Turn.

The Holy King.

Longevity.

Merciful Nature.

Evils.

Joyful and peaceful.

Leader never eats or drinks.

Elder,

what should we do?

Miss Chong.

Wash your hands.

Do you have any target you feel suspect

concerning the traitors of Hall of Flames?

Haitang.

No.

It can’t be Haitang.

She would never do such thing.

Haitang?

No.

It can’t be Haitang.

Miss Chong.

The fact

is always like the shadow in the dark.

To see the shadow,

we need to wait for the sun.

Many things have happened,

since I left Hall of Flames.

We may leave quickly.

I will take you somewhere first.

It’s done?

We grew up together.

She was dead all of a sudden.

Leader agrees

to bury Haitang behind the mountain.

He said

we grew up together

like a family.

Chequ.

Go

find a place near us.

In this case,

Haitang won’t be far away from us.

Okay.

Why are you smiling?

Do you like it?

It’s just

a bit unused to it.

As the poem goes,

the smile looks beautiful,

while the eyes are attractive.

Stop smiling.

I’ll return Hall of Flames.

Zhusha.

What’s wrong?

I’d like to tell you something.

What is it?

Young Master isn’t dead.

Shining Hall of Flames

With our care since her childhood,

Young Master has never had a serious illness,

let alone fracture.

The phalanx of that body

has a broken trace before her death.

It’s begun to close up

and formed some osteophyte

during its healing.

If Young Master had a fracture during falling,

there won’t be osteophyte.

Are you sure?

I'd stake my life on it.

The body is not Young Master at all.

Chief Guardian.

What should we do now?

You two leave Hall of Flames secretly

to look for Young Master.

From the place where she fell.

Remember.

Never let other people know.

Keep it a secret

Yes.

Chief Guardian, how about me?

Stay in Hall of Flames.

Help me

find out the traitors.

You must call me Leader

before Young Master comes back.

Don’t show our slip.

-Yes. Leader. -Yes. Chief Guardian.

Yes. Leader.

You may leave now.

Yes.

Hall of Flames Leader Chong Taboo Xuezhi’s Souls

Wait for me.

Childe Shangguan.

Childe Shangguan.

Thank you for saving me.

Thank you

for all your help.

I know

your task is protecting me.

But there must be many dangers

in the future.

I don’t want to be a burden to you.

So,

I have to leave without saying goodbye.

I’m sorry.

You may just leave.

But you even intend to take my horse away.

Aren’t you asleep?

Even if I get asleep,

I may be woken up by your words.

We still haven’t arrived at Hall of Flames.

You really want to blow me away?

I’m just

a bit impatient.

Impatient?

Then let’s go together.

Stop.

What do you want?

We are here to give our condolences.

Make way quickly.

Don’t be rude.

Hall of Flames

Chief Feng.

Hall of Flames

hadn’t sent any announcement to Huashan Sect.

What do you mean?

I have to come even if you didn’t invite me.

Huashan Sect and Hall of Flames

are always on good terms.

The enemy’s daughter is dead.

I really feel bitter.

So I have to come to say goodbye.

If you keep talking nonsense,

please don’t blame me on my rudeness.

Excuse me!

I dare not.

I can’t offend Leader Muyuan.

Moreover,

Nine Moves of Hall of Flames

can kill people by subtle means.

Many people were killed by it.

What are you saying?

Chief Feng.

Huashan Sect always behaves seriously with integrity.

Why are you so flighty today?

Is it because you changed

your style?

Chief Feng. If your behaviors

are known by others,

I’m afraid

you may be laughed at by people.

You misunderstood me.

I’m here

to condole

with a gift for Young Master.

Let’s meet

at the Weapon Convention.

See you.

Thank you.

Once we got the information,

Master asked me to come.

Young Master died young.

All of us in Sword Manor

feel deeply regret.

Please

restrain your grief.

Please.

Carry it away.

This one is great.

Waiter.

A pot of good tea.

Okay.

-Have more. -Quickly.

I’m very tired today.

Meat?

No.

Vegetables?

No.

Have you heard about the thing

of Hall of Flames?

You mean the death of their Young Master?

It’s been spread everywhere in the martial arts world.

Yes.

-Have the meal. -It’s said

Chong Xuezhi died

out of all recognition.

It’s too horrible to look at.

Maybe even her father can’t recognize her.

-Sit. -Who is in charge of Hall of Flames now?

I’ve heard it’s the Chief Guardian.

It seems to be called

Yuwen Muyuan.

-Yuwen Muyuan? -Water.

No matter who is the Leader,

Hall of Flames

is bound to encounter difficulties.

Chong Xuezhi

had both the guardian and Shangguan Tou.

Nobody would expect

she might die.

You are right.

Anybody related to Hall of Flames

are not good guys.

Shangguan Tou is nobody.

A single phoenix is no better than a chicken.

If he is not in Dongdu,

he's nobody but a toy boy.

If I meet him,

I won’t spare him.

Sit down.

Just have your meal.

It makes me angry by just thinking of it.

For a cult like Hall of Flames,

anybody has the right to punish them.

I’m thinking

if Chong Xuezhi

can be killed by us,

then our name will remain in the martial arts world.

It’s too easy for the woman.

Maybe we can promote Shark Sect.

Forget it.

Everyone in the world

thinks so.

Because of her father Chong Ye,

even if Chong Xuezhi can come alive,

many people

would like to cut her into pieces.

Don’t get excited.

Just eat your food.

Waiter.

My dishes, be quick.

Coming soon.

What are you doing?

Why are you stopping me?

Miss Chong.

You are now the one

can help them become famous.

They are very stubborn.

Once they know you are not dead

and recognize you,

they will never let you go.

I just want to teach them a lesson.

Teach them a lesson?

Only if you kill them,

otherwise they will return and take more people

to hunt you down and kill you.

This is the martial arts world.

This is also the mankind.

You can’t return Hall of Flames.

Why?

Didn’t you hear

the disciples of Shark Sect?

Now in the world,

all of them think you are dead.

The traitors of Hall of Flames also think so.

If you go back now,

it won’t help

but bringing more dangers.

How can I find out the traitors if I don’t return?

You were arranged by them

before leaving Hall of Flames.

That’s why you’ve been in passivity.

From now on,

you need to hide yourself.

Deal with him

as they have done to you.

Where are we going next?

Winehouse of Fairyland.

Winehouse of Fairyland

Please take care.

Are we there yet?

This is a fun place.

What are we doing here?

For two friends.

Friends?

Please take care. See you next time.

Okay.

See you.

Langya.

Tianbao warrior Zhong Tao

Bald.

Why are you here?

It’s been a while.

Langya.

I know you miss me,

but you could be slighter.

Few people

can stand your arm power.

Who is this beautiful lady?

I’m Young Master Chong Xuezhi of Hall of Flames.

May I know your name?

He’s Zhong Tao.

Langya is his nickname.

Zhong Tao?

Is he the legendary

Tianbao warrior

with the most powerful arms?

I’m flattered.

Anyhow,

I’m more powerful than Bald.

See you next time.

Bald, listen.

You can play jokes with other things

but not the fame.

Being with people from Hall of Flames,

you may be compromised.

Don’t think about me like that.

I’m with Miss Chong

to protect her.

Protect?

Since when you’ve become

so responsible?

What are you talking about?

Nothing.

But what’s wrong with Zhong?

He’s fine.

I promised Hongxiu

if I meet a girl

as beautiful as her,

I would never look at the girl again.

Why it’s “again”?

You shouldn’t look once.

He can only know if she’s good-looking

after looking once.

Stop, Bald.

Get in quickly. Hongxiu is waiting for you.

If she is unhappy,

she even won’t allow me to stand outside.

Hongxiu may have a lot of excuses

to deal with you.

Don’t worry.

Just go quickly.

Who is Hongxiu?

Let’s go and see.

Childe Shangguan.

Childe Shangguan, here you are.

Childe Shangguan.

I’ve learnt a new song. May I?

The dance you taught me,

I practiced a lot.

I have some wine

ready for you.

Yes, Childe Shangguan.

Okay. Okay.

Girls.

Girls.

Next time.

He will live here for a few more days.

Go. Leave.

Childe Shangguan.

It seems

Childe Shangguan is a regular guest here.

I’m afraid Miss Chong misunderstood

our goal in Winehouse of Fairyland.

It’s okay.

Since we’ve been here,

just enjoy yourself

in this top fun place

in Suzhou and Hangzhou.

This place

can be called a fairyland.

Why the girls here are so…

So

charming

and attractive?

Our country’s talents are all in Wuzhong.

Anyway,

the girls you just saw

are no big deal.

Later, you will see

the real fairy.

Who is that?

You will see.

Miss Qiu.

Miss Hongxiu.

Winehouse of Fairyland’s Keeper Qiu Hongxiu

Here are

our rare friends.

Hongxiu,

it’s been a while.

Is Suzhou

yours now?

If I’d like to,

it’s been mine for ages.

What a pity!

Women have the things

So she is Hongxiu

men want.

However, men can’t afford things

women longing for.

Who is this girl?

Please allow me to introduce.

She’s Chong Xuezhi.

Chong?

Where is she from?

Hall of Flames.

I know people are blaming me.

If it’s not convenient for Miss Hongxiu,

I’d like to leave.

It doesn’t matter.

Winehouse of Fairyland

doesn’t care about your identity.

We only care about

your looks.

Hongxiu.

Miss Chong is here

to elude

her enemies.

I can promise

we will surely

keep you safe.

Please enjoy yourselves.

I’d check the dishes

in the kitchen.

Since you are here,

you’d better try my dishes.

It’s said Shangguan Tou is full of affection.

How couldn’t he love such a beautiful lady?

People alike

will never attract each other.

How did you know what I’m thinking?

But you and Miss Hongxiu are not alike.

Anything not alike?

Everything is not alike.

No matter how,

you are different

from the legend.

Bald,

what have you said to her?

You came with several girls

every time before.

Here. Try some.

And the fish.

You can never eat it in other places.

Have a try.

The crabs in this season

are not very good.

Later on,

I will offer you another crab meal.

Hongxiu,

you have a great progress in cooking.

So you are trying

to be with me.

In that case you even don’t need a cook.

Taking me while you are out,

it’ll be more convenient for you.

Bald.

Spend more time here

and teach me some poems and songs.

You know Hongxiu like this the best.

Langya,

don't be too hard on yourself.

Why are you calling him Bald?

Because he used to be bald.

I know that. I saw the painting.

But I don’t know the details.

Listen carefully.

As the old saying goes,

Shaving off hair is a torture to the body

It’s the way to avoid the reality.

We are from parents.

He cut his hair…

To

break off all relations with the family.

I’m sorry.

But nobody could believe

his bald looks

made him

the first handsome in Dongdu.

He became popular.

People began to imitate his example

and painted him.

They even imitated a bald?

They must be crazy.

Everyone may rebel sometimes.

Am I right, Tou?

What did he look like before?

Of course, many girls…

Many girls

Come

to see him.

Hongxiu.

In fact,

we come here this time

not only for a rest.

We have something more important.

Tou,

will you screw me again?

Miss Chong

has met troubles this time.

Hall of Flames has many internal and external problems.

The true reason is missing the manual

in Hero Assembly.

Nine Moves, right?

You are really very clever.

I tried to ask Xuezhi

for something.

But now it’s reversed.

Tou,

every time I met you,

I will suffer a loss in the business.

The one stealing the manual

has begun to practice.

I wonder

if you have some information about that person.

That’s really a question.

People all over the world

are doubting Hall of Flames.

Maybe you should

go back to Hall of Flames and check it out.

It’s too early to return Hall of Flames now.

That will only bring dangers.

I see.

Take it easy.

Once I have the news,

I will inform you the first moment.

And I won’t sell it to others

no matter how much they pay for it.

That's a load off my mind.

I see.

This is not a place for fun

but for information.

Xuezhi

is really a smart girl.

Here.

I’d like to propose a toast to you.

Bald, why are you helping her?

We still haven’t drunk any.

The helper needs to drink for three cups.

Three?

Three are not enough.

How about thirty?

Good.

If you drink thirty,

I will dance for you.

Deal.

If you can’t drink thirty,

you have to answer my question.

Question?

Okay.

Thirty are too much.

Miss Hongxiu, let’s forget it.

-Forget it, okay? -It doesn’t matter.

Unbelievable!

The alcohol is strong, can you?

The alcohol is strongly aromatic.

It’s different from other kinds of alcohol.

It seems you know it very well.

It’s Sanbai alcohol in Winehouse of Fairyland

with pure aromas

and endless aftertastes.

In this case,

thank you for your hospitality.

Good.

Great.

So unbelievable.

It’s harmful to your health.

So fast.

Hurry. Bald.

Oh my goodness! Tou.

Come on.

Next.

Bald. Come on.

Hurry.

Good.

Quickly. Bald

It’s almost done. Hurry.

Hongxiu.

You win.

Tou,

why do you lose on purpose?

Just now,

you said you had a question.

Listen,

how do you think about this girl

in your mind?

“In wine there is truth”

fits

common people.

But I’m

not a common people.

Today,

I will make you happy.

Childe Shangguan.

Why are you…

I saw you came here alone,

so I followed you.

I thought you were drunk

and already rested.

It’s no big deal.

Don’t worry about me.

But you,

why are you here

watching the scenery?

It’s

because I suddenly think I’m useless.

Why?

You are good

at poems,

dancing and playing Zheng.

But I know nothing about it.

Miss Chong,

you are too modest.

I’ve lived in Hall of Flames since I was born.

And I’ve never seen the world outside.

Before today,

I didn’t know

there is a place

like Winehouse of Fairyland,

people like Zhong

and Hongxiu.

Hongxiu

has suffered a lot,

but she has always been very kind.

By opening Winehouse of Fairyland,

she has helped countless

displaced orphaned girls.

For those willing to stay,

she teaches them singing and dancing.

For those unwilling,

she gives them money

and helps them get married.

I’m so lucky

to make friends with Hongxiu.

I’m lucky

to meet Miss Chong, too.

Zhong said

you treat every girl equally.

Have you said

the same words to many girls?

Miss Chong,

you are jealous?

No, I’m not.

I have nothing to do with you.

You want to be something to me?

Hongxiu is really capable

by operating Winehouse of Fairyland alone

and exchanging information.

It’s quite a mixed place.

I admire her for being able to handle this skillfully.

Zhong Tao is with her.

Of course she can handle it.

I’m worrying

someone is with her.

Miss Chong, you don’t know it.

Hongxiu seemingly refused him.

But in fact,

she has accepted him in her mind.

It’s just because

Zhong Tao

is too block-headed

to find it.

Is that so?

Love between man and woman is really complicated.

It can be complicated.

And it can also be

simple.
