(SILENCE)

Sadie, let's go!

What the fuck? Come on!

How many bales are left, man?

I don't know, like 15.

(BUZZING)

What's that sound?

(SILENCE)

You're fucking stoned, Sadie.

Shut up, asshole.

We're going to be rich, man, we're going to be rich!

(SIRENS BLARING)

Prepare to be boarded!

(SIRENS AND GUNSHOTS)

This bitch has a machine gun!

(YELLING)

Kill the ignition!

Warren's down!

You're dead, bitch!

Put it down!

(GUNSHOTS)

Guess he must be deaf, huh?

Now he's dead and deaf.

Fuck him!

(GUNSHOTS)

See that shit?

Almost shot me.

This is Frank Rossi, road unit.

Suspects are coming your way in a primer gray pickup truck.

All right, they're armed and dangerous.

I need an SOS on medical evac over here at the dock.

Over.

He's dead.

Man, look at all the fucking weed in here.

What are you doing, Frank?

What are you doing?

Grow up, Jack, what the fuck?

You've been around long enough, you've seen enough.

I'm not the only guy that does this on big busts.

I mean, everybody does it, okay?

Hey man, that shit's evidence.

Man, I don't do that.

Is it gonna hurt you?

Now can you do the things you want to do with your life

on this salary?

I can't.

What about the bills, man?

I'm a cop, you're a cop.

Well fuck, arrest me then, asshole.

Come on, arrest me.

Hey, hey Hooks.

Don't go do something you're going to regret now!

Jack!

Officer Hooks.

Wing tips, never a good sign.

What can I do for you two?

Internal Affairs.

We need to take a look in your locker.

Then look.

That's not mine.

According to your partner, it is.

According to your partner, you've got quite a business

going for yourself selling Quaaludes.

You'll need to come with us.

Come on, Jack.

Sorry, Jack.

I couldn't let you get away with something like that.

You son of a bitch, you set me up!

Get your hands off of me!

He set me up!

You set me up, you son of a bitch!

Just shut up.

Frank!

TV: More than 20 million pounds of marijuana have been

smuggled into the United States, most by boat and air.

Nearly all of it is Colombian grown.

The trade is funneled through various channels like the

Yucatan Channel, the Woodward Passage, the Mona Passage.

The people who smuggle marijuana from South America

for this country's 13 million pot smokers

have increasingly turned from planes to ships.

It's a big business now, reminiscent of

the prohibition-era rum running.

This is high-grade Colombian marijuana,

for which the smuggler pays about $40 a pound,

and which he wholesales in the U.S. at about $200 a pound.

So this single load is worth about $5 million.

There was the evidence.

This is one way 4,000 tons of marijuana gets to

the pot smokers of this country every year.

In this case, 57 tons didn't.

Reason for the caution... the Colombian connection.

An annual $6 billion worth of marijuana flowing between

South America and Florida, an industry that has been known

to convert graceful sloops into pot hauling freighters.

Jackson Hooks.

Served the Army Air Cav in Southeast Asia

from 1967 to 1970.

Awarded the Purple Heart and a bronze star with valor,

along with an honorable discharge.

Transferred to the narcotics bureau where you served your

community until you were busted by Internal Affairs

November 9th, 1973, for possession of a schedule I

narcotic, and sentenced to eight years in state prison.

One of these things is not like the other one.

Since we're reminiscing, I lost my virginity to Becky Magnuson

my junior/senior prom.

Four months ago, a man by the name of Frank Rossi was spotted

off the coast of Tarpon Springs, knee-deep in one of

the biggest offloads of Colombian grown marijuana

this area has ever seen, ever.

I think we both know you two have a history.

Yeah, that's all we have.

A rotten as fuck history.

He's been moving fishing boats locomotive-style into our

waters, and bringing marijuana in by the truckload.

They've used planes flying piggyback to outwit our radar

scanners when they make their air drops.

What the fuck are you doing here?

I thought you quit the county cop shop.

I did.

DEA, Tampa Bay Division.

Brand new gig.

The short of it is, we could pop him tomorrow,

get a big headline.

Dirty cops are big news.

But we would miss the big show, his Colombian connection.

We want to know who's supplying Rossi before we bring him down

and we want it handled.

So you just want a name.

Which we will pass along to the proper agencies in Colombia,

but whoever is supplying Rossi would not be missed

by your government if he were to be found dead.

Why me?

If anybody can slide into Rossi's clique, it's you.

He's an ego-ed out fuck who would eat up the idea of

having you ask to work for him after he broke you.

Yeah, that's right.

I know he set your ass up once upon a time, but I'm going to

do fuck-all to help you, 'til I get something I want.

It stops now, it stops yesterday.

This is a full pardon for the remainder of your prison

sentence, as well as the exclusion of parole and

expunging any trace of felony on your record.

How do you know you'll ever see me again?

Because if you fuck me on this, you'll be a federal fugitive,

who won't be able to drink a glass of fucking milk

without seeing your picture on the side of a carton.

And I think you know deep down you really don't

have any other choice.

Hey, Mike.

Yasoo, Jack!

Good to see a familiar face.

Thanks for coming.

Come on, man, get in, get in.

How you been?

Yeah, I'm all right.

Fishing's been real bad, though.

You know, the red tide's about to kill us.

But it can't be anything compared to what

you've been going through, man.

Still got my old truck in storage?

Yeah, and it still runs like shit.

(LAUGHTER)

Hey, I'm going to need some work... some real work,

you know what I mean?

My, my, you are a changed man, Jack.

We should be at the drop about now.

What the hell you looking at?

No, see, it's two more miles up the coat.

Here, check it again.

No, I'm telling you, this is it, man, we're going to miss it.

Look for the boat.

Fuck it, there it is.

Get these out of here.

Damn pooches got to be here somewhere.

I just don't think they're going to show up.

Yeah, maybe we missed them again.

All right, dump those fuckers, let's go!

What the...

What the hell?

That's the Florida marine patrol over there.

Fucking idiots.

The drop was supposed to be here, not there.

What do we do now?

Let's get the fuck out of here.

(MOTOR REVVING)

(LAUGHTER)

Here you go, boys.

You two be good, all right?

Thank you.

Morgan!

Oh, no.

Come here, you bastard, come here.

It's the second time your boys have fucked up this drop.

They drop it on the fucking water cops.

Get off me!

I'll make a call, we'll make it right.

Fuck your call.

Find yourself a new piss boy.

You and I ain't doing business no more, you get it?

You want to do business in this town?

You got to deal with that asshole.

Good luck, Jack.

Mike, hon, hon, wait!

Hey!

You still chasing that man?

Oh, ain't love a bitch?

Old enough to be your dad.

Oh, don't start with me on that shit again.

I'm just saying.

Ah, well just don't, all right?

What happened tonight, you guys get the...

Not so good.

Ah shit.

Well cheer up, baby.

It'll all work out, it always does.

Hey Captain, get him a drink on my tab.

Blue Ribbon.

You must be Tragos' new boy.

We were bunkmates at summer camp.

Yeah, I heard they gave you eight years,

but you only did 48 months.

Is that what you heard?

That's what I heard.

Well, I got out early for fucking the warden's daughter.

Oh my God, how about that?

Jesus Christ.

Well, that sounds like a full-time job.

Yeah, full-time job...

Let's talk about that.

Well, hell, I just hired a second bartender.

Cut the shit.

That drop today was a fuck-up from the word go.

Oh, come on, man.

I'm not talking about this, I'm talking about doing a run,

a job done right from top to bottom.

Yeah, but man, you got too much profile out there.

I ain't a cop no more.

Sure you heard about it.

What about Tragos?

I'll worry about Tragos, you worry about me.

I'm at the Tarpon in Room 119.

Let me know if we can do business, okay, boy scout?

I know a guy.

And you know the guy.

(CRICKETS CHIRPING)

Hey, Jack.

Charlotte the Harlot.

RADIO: Now for the big story, two marine patrol officers

were virtually bombed with bales of marijuana

from a low flying aircraft, the latest...

(PHONE RINGING)

Hello?

How's everything going, Mr. Hooks?

Well I could use some more towels, but otherwise I'm fine.

Funny, very funny.

Have you talked to our friend yet?

Working on it.

How'd you find me, Burger?

Small town, it's not very hard.

You tell me when you make contact.

You know where to find me.

(DIAL TONE)

(KNOCKING AT DOOR)

Jack!

Who is it?

It's opportunity.

Open the fucking door.

Whoa, Jack, you look good, man.

Really put on some muscle, huh?

Prison does that to you, you fuck!

Slow down, I thought we were gonna talk about business.

What are you going to do, kill me?

I'm a fucking cop, Jack, you can't kill the cop.

Drop the piece, man.

Drop the piece.

Yeah, drop the piece, man.

I know I did you dirty, man.

Jack, that was a different time, different place, okay?

Things don't look that different to me, Officer Rossi.

Look, we can stand here all night, go back and forth

about who did what to who, you know?

Chew on the past, or, Jack, we could talk about the future,

like what are we doing here.

Hey, you tell me, what are we doing here?

Why don't you tell me?

Okay.

One last run, make a big slice,

fuck you forward on a rearview mirror, huh?

Is that the plan?

That's the plan.

Let's go, let's go for a ride.

Let's go for a ride.

Be a good boy, take your medicine.

No.

What?

No.

Fuck it, suit yourself.

Hey, you see this pig on the corner?

See this pig on the corner?

Yeah, I see this pig on the corner.

I busted him twice.

The court keeps spitting him back out on the street.

He didn't get the message, though.

You fuck with me, you fuck with my business.

Criminal court system in this country sucks, Jack.

So what do you want me to do about it?

Well here's your chance to show me you're a big dog.

You go off in the tall grass and I'll go do my bidding, okay?

Hurry the fuck up, man, hurry up.

John Wayne, what are you looking for?

Fuck!

Move, asshole, move!

Take it easy, man!

Hey look, I got money, I got dope.

I don't want your fucking money, I don't want your fucking dope,

you got that?

Look, don't kill me man.

All right, look.

I got a mom, sick, I got a daughter...

You move when I say move, motherfucker, you got that?

Now shut the fuck up.

What the fuck is this?

My fucking daughter, man, all right?

Shut up.

What the fuck do you want?

Turn around, turn the fuck around!

You been told to stop dealing around here,

but for some stupid fucking reason, you haven't.

Your fucking dealing license is revoked, you understand that?

You're retired.

If you're ever seen here again, I'm going to kill you.

Then I'm going to kill her.

Got that? Understand?

Get the fuck out of here!

Get the fuck out of... fuck off!

Don't do it, kid.

(GUNSHOTS)

Shit... Shit!

(DOG BARKING)

Fucking shit!

Good job.

What?

What about the body?

Fuck the body.

You got to stop worrying about the small shit, man.

Now pay attention.

This is your "if you fuck with me" card.

Meaning if you fuck with me, that is, you're personally

fingerprinted, I want to go back to fucking prison for the rest

of my life, for the murder of that poor Cuban kid,

and I'll make it sound as bad as it looks.

Now, look, hey, pay attention!

So you killed somebody?

Who gives a fuck?

Now pay attention!

Now you're wheels up, day after tomorrow, 8:00 a.m.,

private air strip off Highway 54, okay?

Here, now here's the address.

Now the pilot will be there, with a $500,000 allowance

for the buy, okay?

El Midagro?

What?

El Midagro?

Oh, wow, man, you know, it's a double rubber, kind of

wear a wet suit when you fuck a bitch kind of place.

When I walk in the joint, I disappear for two weeks

because of the women, man.

And five hours later you'll be in...

Colombia, at the Wizard of Oz.

You know his name?

I don't know, I don't know his name.

I know you don't.

He's the original.

He's the man, "Smoke."

What's the job?

Green, like grass.

40,000 pounds wrapped in burlap, in not less than ten days.

Well, what's the money situation?

$300,000; $2700 a pound.

Maybe you can buy that motel, huh?

Yeah, well I like the room service.

What?

I like the room service.

(LAUGHING)

That's what I always liked about you, Jack.

You're a funny guy, you're a really funny guy.

You know what I like about you, Rossi?

Nothing, huh?

Ain't nothing to like.

Like I said, Jack, you're a funny guy.

What about the crew?

For the offload? Sure, I got one.

For the boat.

Boat, that's out of my jurisdiction.

Then whose is it?

It's yours, Mr. Bigshot smuggler.

(LAUGHING)

Anyway, here, your advance.

It's a dictionary.

Don't lose that.

Keep it close, all right?

Okay, bye, Jack, go to bed and get some sleep.

Hey Jack, you know what I love?

I love, I just love the fact that you need my money.

I can't explain it to you how much I love it.

It's like getting my cock sucked all day.

(LAUGHING)

See you later, asshole.

Ahoy!

Hey, Jack.

Mike?

He has been drunk, playing that same

fucking song since last night.

I can't take it.

Maybe you can talk some sense into him.

Opa!

What the hell is going on, Mike?

Jack, after Bazookia... the island of Greece...

How about another drink, Mike?

You know why I'm with her?

No.

She's a redhead, man.

Redheads smell different.

Hell, they even taste different.

You know, you get a southern cracker redheaded woman

and she will suck your...

Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, that's my cousin.

I don't want to hear that shit right now, okay?

Forgive me, I've had a drink today.

Uzo, good for you.

Salud.

I got us a job.

Where'd you get a job?

Morgan and Rossi.

He's going to take us to Bering Kia.

You know it?

Yeah, dangerous place.

40,000 pounds.

40,000 pounds?

Fuck no, I'm not going to do that.

Them bastards stole all my money.

You know, it's because of them I'm going to

lose this stilt house.

It's not with them, it's with us.

We can bring along whoever we want to bring along.

We make the choices, we make the run.

If you smell shit, we pull the plug, we call it off, man.

Can't do this without you, Mike.

We need a crew and a big boat, and I know you need the money.

How much is the money?

$25,000 each for the crew, $50,000 for you.

Only $50,000?

Oh fuck off, you know it's a good payday, come on.

Only for a friend would I do this, Jack,

and you're my friend.

Okay.

We still need a crew, we still need a boat.

(LAUGHING)

Can't swim for shit, but I assume you guys

got a life vest or something, right?

I mean, it's the boat and it's the law, so you gotta.

Everybody get one of those?

I think I can take the risk for 25K.

The Pig.

M60 machine gun, 7.62 millimeter.

My baby fuck buddy turned to war.

She plays rough.

I don't think any of them beaners will be talking back

to Miss Piggy here.

It's always better to have this stuff and not need it,

then to need it and not have it, you know what I'm saying?

Yeah, Charlie, we got it.

Fucking A you got it, Charlie Sparks is on the case.

Ball tracer, armor piercing rounds.

These are fun.

Army Corps engineer dynamite, government surplus,

$100 flat for the crate.

You want to bring it?

In case we go fishing, crack your towel down south

or whatever.

I think we got enough already, Charlie, but thanks.

All right.

I mean, yo, we could bring it all if you want.

It's going to be a real shit show, huh?

Get some!

(LAUGHING)

This is going to be fun.

Hey, shut this off, I can't hear a fucking word.

Alright, man!

Got this huge big 364 diesel.

Designed for carrying a hell of a load.

Picked her up at the public auction a couple of years ago.

More than enough room in the hold to handle the bales.

You sure this tub's going to make the trip?

Hey, watch how you talk about my girl.

So how does this work?

(LAUGHING)

You put the key in here, turn the engine on,

and point the bow south.

Think with your blood clot, man!

The offload.

How does the offload work?

Don't worry about none of that.

Bojangles got you covered.

Hey Mike.

Yeah.

Do you have any idea why Rossi would give me this dictionary?

(LAUGHING)

It's one of Rossi's old tricks.

On the way back in, when we get within range,

if there's been any change in the plan or any danger,

we're going to call on channel 14.

Rossi's guy has got the same dictionary.

It's a boat part order list, that he'll review,

Part 30-8, Part 32-9... whatever.

The first number is the page,

the second number is the word on the page.

The police could be 32-26, you see?

We get the message, everybody's happy,

and the cops don't know shit.

(CRASHING)

Tragos!

Fucking idiot!

Jesus Christ!

Mother fuck, who the hell left all this line strung out here?

Where the fuck is Charlie?

Bo, get over here and help this kid.

He's been tripping over himself all day.

Yes sir, master, sir, please don't hit me

no more with that whip.

Fuck off, just do it.

I don't need any help, Mike.

I just need Charlie awake so I'm not busting my dick

loading this shit by myself.

You hear that, Mike?

Chicken Man has a busted dick.

Why the fuck do you always call me that?

My name is Carmine, Carmine, Carmine.

(CLUCKING)

Charlie!

Get your ass over here!

Come on, get your ass over here.

Ah, shit man!

Tragos! I pissed myself.

(LAUGHTER)

Fuck you, Fonzie.

All right, you know, I've seen a piece of greaser

chicken shit like you while they cry for mommy

back in country.

You didn't even enlist, did you?

I had a high draft number, all right?

Fuck you, coward!

Hey, hey, hey, that's enough.

You get what's left of your drunk ass in the cabin

and help load that chow in the galley, come on!

Hey this ain't New York, gumba,

you look like an idiot in that jacket.

Yeah, and the fucking war is over, man!

We lost!

You trust me?

These are good men, okay, they're good men.

(MUSIC AND LAUGHTER)

Cheating bastard!

Boo fucking hoo, Bo, you big Cyclops motherfucker.

You did not just call me Cyclops,

you greasy dago bastard.

I did.

I'll fuck you upside your head.

I'll have to stand on the side where you can

actually see me for that, man.

Hey Malakas, shut up for a minute.

Jack has something he wants to say.

It's all up to us now, so buck up, be happy.

You're all about to become wealthy boys.

(LAUGHTER)

Come on, take a roll, Jack.

Yeah, come pay me some of your money.

Come on, Jack.

It's easy, I promise.

All right, one roll.

Easy on that hookah, Chicken Man.

Do not call me that.

Why so sensitive?

'Cause he's a faggot.

(LAUGHTER)

Fuck you, piss stain!

It's not the name my parents gave me, all right?

It's Carmine, keep it that way.

I like Carmine.

Me too.

All right, my turn.

I know it ain't being none of my business, but I got to ask,

because everybody's thinking it, but not saying it.

Didn't you used to be some sort of cop?

Yeah, I used to be a cop.

And I was good at it, too...

Until they screwed me.

But I don't owe them one shit of credence.

So if you guys got a problem with that,

I'll walk off the boat right now,

but I'm not going to let that shit affect me.

I'm moving forward, getting rich,

and I'm not going to let any assholes dictate my life.

So, speak now or hold your peace.

I buy it... I buy it.

(LAUGHING)

Six means no tricks!

Give me the money now.

Fuck off, Bo.

You ain't that lucky.

(LAUGHING)

Ah, one and you're done.

Cocaine Jack.

(LAUGHTER)

We'll play again, after the run.

We'll see how eager you are when you're playing for

more than one dollar bills.

Sounds like a challenge, Jack.

It is, unless you're chicken, man.

(LAUGHTER)

Oh, is that what it is?

Is it because I'm a chicken?

(CLUCKING)

(LAUGHING)

So, Jackie...

What did you learn in school today?

It's a guy that goes by the name of Wizard of Oz.

That's the only information I got.

That's it?

You know, once you leave international waters,

you're on your own.

We can't help you.

Are your men reliable?

My man says they are.

Either way, I'm out of here in the morning.

Good.

I'll expect an update from you before you leave Colombia.

Our men will be at the drop point when you know your ETA.

If you're a no-show, our agreement is void

and you're in deep shit.

I hear ya.

Show up, Hooks.

Have a nice trip.

Hello?

Speak English?

Habla Ingles?

Let's go.

(YELLING AND LAUGHTER)

(SCREAMING)

Jack Hooks, bienvenido Colombia.

I am Carlos Vuerta.

I would shake your hand but I am sticky.

No problem.

Thanks for welcoming me to your home, Mr. Vuerta.

Carlos, please, call me Carlos.

Mi papa, my father, was Mr. Vuerta.

So Rossi talked to me about the problem with the drop.

Those two men in the airplane?

It's the nature of the business, I suppose.

Not for me.

This is a Valencia.

I fly them in from Florida, the best oranges in the world,

Florida gold.

And now you are here in my country to buy my product,

also the best in the world, Colombian Gold.

This is funny, no Jack?

Oranges don't get you 20 to life.

And they do not make a man rich overnight.

(WHISTLING)

Jack, this is Emelio Acuna.

From this day forward, any problem you have,

you go to Emelio.

Seor.

Hello.

Emelio will ensure that the loading at the docks

goes smoothly.

Why don't we conclude our business inside,

away from the help.

This is nice.

Bueno, gracias.

You have good taste.

It was a gift from a good friend of mine...

(KNOCKING AT DOOR)

Entra.

Elena, this is Mr. Jack Hooks.

He will be our guest for a few days.

Hello.

Hola.

Speak to him in English.

Hello, welcome to our home.

It is a pleasure to meet you.

Watch this...

(LAUGHING)

She never ceases to amaze me.

Elenita, why don't you show Mr. Hooks to his room?

He must be tired of the long trip.

To money.

To freedom.

Salud.

Hi, Elena.

Hi.

Hi, I needed some more water and I was wondering...

We shouldn't be talking.

It's dangerous.

It's dangerous to talk?

No, he's...

He's what?

Please, stop.

Now is not... stop, please.

I'll have one of the help bring you water, okay?

Just go back to your room, please.

There will be a better time to say hello.

(GUNSHOTS)

(KNOCKING AT DOOR)

(ROOSTER CROWING)

Carlos would like to see you outside.

Good morning to you, too.

Hey, Jackie, come, come.

The day is young.

Morning.

Come, come.

Vamonos.

All this land was my father's.

He earned it from an honest living.

Imagine that.

And now it's all mine.

See, that there is what remains from his herd of cattle.

I still raise them, and I give the meat to the poor villagers.

I ask nothing in return.

Do you know why, Jack?

Because it gives your life balance, I guess.

Yes, I guess it does, but even more important than that,

Jack, it builds trust.

Without trust you have nothing.

This thing between myself and you, this relationship,

we live or die for that word, one simple word.

Those two pieces of shit that died last night,

they died for that word.

Do you understand me, Jack?

Yes, I do.

Then three days from today, we'll go to the docks.

You will bring your men...

And Emelio will go with you to make sure

the loading goes smoothly.

Then the next day, you will go back, through the eye.

(LAUGHTER)

Who pissed in the sink on the boat last night, Mo.

At least he kept it out of his fucking pants.

(LAUGHING)

Funny.

Funny, kid.

Congratulations, Malaka, we made it.

We still haven't done it yet.

You worry too much, Jack.

See, there you go worrying again.

I got some money riding on the Yankees tonight.

Yankee fan Jack!

(LAUGHING)

Yeah.

Listen, I got to call my guy and see how much I lost.

You should say see how much I won!

Right.

No we gotta piss the boat!

(LAUGHING)

Right, three days from now.

So, did you win?

What?

I overheard your conversation with the Greek,

Yankee fan Jack.

Yeah, yeah, I won.

You know, I am also a baseball fan.

Is that a fact?

A Yankee fan.

Funny, I had you pegged as a Cubbie.

I have all the schedules right here, and the Yankees

play Boston three game home stretch, but not tonight.

I think you got that schedule fucked up in your head.

Operator?

I was disconnected from a long distance international call.

Could you reconnect me?

Yes, sir.

Thank you.

(RINGING)

DEA Tampa Bay Division.

How may I direct your call?

Hello? Hello?

(MUSIC AND LAUGHTER)

I have to go check on the boat.

Jack, no, you have to take a shot with me.

Take a shot with us.

Come on, here.

Or you can play some dice, man.

We're fucking rich now, you said it yourself.

Go check what?

Everyone's here, no one's aboard, I just want to make

sure the boat's not being parted out by the locals.

If they touch my boat, I'll tear their fucking heads off.

I'm coming with you!

I'm just messing with you, Bo.

I'm sure it's all right, don't worry about it.

It better be.

Jack, I told you, I had Claymores.

We wouldn't be having this discussion if you

let me bring the mines, M-18 A-1s.

Jack, who is she?

I can handle myself, Mike.

You worry too much.

What are you doing out here, seorita?

I came to say goodbye.

Where were you going?

I thought it might be the right time to say hello.

If you want to get away from him, just leave,

walk out the door.

He's all I know.

Elena, what is Carlos to you?

He found me in Barranquilla when I was ten years old.

I was an orphan.

And he brought me in, he took me here.

He was kind to me... at first.

When I was going to turn 14, he came into my room one night.

He was drunk.

I've been his lover.

You did nothing wrong.

I don't know how long it will be

until I feel something like this again.

Take me back with you to America.

You know I can't do that.

I know... I wanted to pretend.

Many men have come through here to see Carlos,

but you are different.

You make me feel all right inside.

That has to count for something, right?

Yes, I think it does.

This is dangerous.

I have to go, I have been gone too long.

(YELLING)

Get the fuck up, Seor!

Where the fuck is Hooks?

We don't fucking know.

(YELLING)

You got to be fucking kidding me, man!

Mike, what the fuck is going on?

(THUNDER CLAPPING)

This ain't the worst situation I've ever been in.

Oh, come on Bo, don't.

Please, man, not now, come on.

Once I was driving a load up from Miami to Tampa Bay

in the middle of the night.

And this pig, one of them big domesticated motherfuckers

wanders into the middle of the road.

What did you do?

I hit him full on.

Splat.

Blood everywhere, damn near ran my ass off the road

in the process.

That wasn't the worst part, though.

Yeah, and what was the worst part?

A month later, I get a $300 ticket in the mail from.

Highway Patrol... improper disposal of road kill.

How'd they know it was you?

The pig squealed.

Oh fuck, Bo.

Jesus Christ, man.

I made it through the war without a damn scratch.

Now what, this shit?

No matter what happens here, you promise me,

you tell them I was brave.

Be cool.

Mike, you tell them I was brave!

You are a brave man.

You are a brave man, Charlie.

Come on, man.

Charlie, calm down, buddy.

I'm sorry what I said to you on the boat, about Vietnam, man.

I didn't mean it.

You're a brave guy, braver than me.

Doesn't matter now, we're all in this shit.

It's your turn to be the brave ones.

You!

What the hell do you want?

You come with me!

What the hell do you want?

(YELLING)

I'll kill you!

I'll fucking murder you!

(YELLING)

You bastard!

You son of a bitch!

Where is Hooks?

He doesn't fucking know.

(YELLING)

Where is Jack Hooks?

Leave him the fuck alone, I'll fucking kill you!

(YELLING)

He was with the bitch.

You fucker, I'll tear your greaser head off!

Leave him alone!

You bastard!

(YELLING)

No!

No!

You fucking bastard!

All you DEA sons of bitches are going to be killed the same way,

if we don't find your boss before nightfall.

DEA, what the fuck are you talking about?

We don't know nothing about the DEA.

Oh Charlie... They killed Charlie.

(YELLING)

Fuck-o you-o, dickhead!

What the fuck are you doing?

You trying to get us killed, Chicken Man?

Bo, I told you not to fucking call me that.

Suck my dick!

Jack, about fucking time!

Will you keep it down?

Is everyone all right?

Where's Charlie?

Elena!

(GUNSHOTS)

Get us out of here, Tragos!

I'm on it!

Fuck Yeah!

(GUNFIRE)

Jack! Jack!

Hold on, Chicken... hold on, Carmine!

Hold on, Carmine!

Put pressure on it.

You called me Carmine... you called me Carmine.

(GUNSHOTS)

Jack!

No!

(GUNSHOTS)

Here we go!

(GUNSHOTS)

(SCREAMING)

(YELLING)

Keep pressure on it.

How is it?

It's not good.

It's going to be fine!

He could use a little morphine.

Well I didn't come kitted out for war.

Well I didn't either!

Bo.

Bo, I got to ask, in case this is something bad.

Why the fuck do you call me Chicken Man?

(CHUCKLING)

It's because you got skinny legs, man.

You got really skinny Chicken Man legs.

(LAUGHTER)

(SCREAMING)

What's the problem, Mike?

You remember back in the jungle, Vuerta's guy,

the big tall greasy bastard.

Emelio.

Yeah.

He said you were a cop, Jack.

You used to be a cop...

Tell me something, are you still one?

Did I get something wrong here?

Son of a bitch.

I didn't mean for any of this to happen.

But it did happen, Jack.

I screwed up, Mike, but I came back because I knew

it was the right thing to do.

The right thing?

The right thing to do would be answer my question.

If you're going to do it, do it.

I don't want to shoot you, Jack.

Then don't.

Then answer my question.

You've already made up your mind.

There's no decision been made here.

Then put the gun away.

Then answer my damn question.

First answer this question, Mike.

How many times have I stuck my neck out for you?

A lot.

Do you think a cop looking to make a quick bust would do that?

Do you think a smuggler looking to make some quick cash

would stick his neck out for you that many times?

So what do you want me to say here, Jack?

Whatever I am, I'm your friend.

Now, what are you?

I think I'll go check on Chicken Man.

(CALL FROM RADIO)

This is Pete's Dream, over.

We just got the spare parts you ordered in,

want to go over the inventory listing with you.

Right, right.

Ready for those numbers, over.

Okay, we got you down for part number 243-25, part 290-41,

and part 222-20. Copy?

Copy that.

Yep, that's all the numbers.

When can we swing by and pick them up? Over.

Oh, same time as before.

We're open late. Out.

Pete's Dream, out.

Mike?

We got a change in the drop point.

Northside Market.

What? Why?

I don't know.

Jack.

Hey man, how you doing?

Any problems?

I heard this crazy rumor about, I mean, you were hurt during

the gunfight, and I thought... I mean, Jack,

you didn't shoot anybody, did you?

Hey, motherfucker.

You fucked me over, and you're having a pretty lax attitude

about it and I don't like it at all.

What do you want me to do about it, Frank?

Huh?

I can't change it, all right?

I got a kid who's got a bullet in his shoulder over there.

Fuck your kid with a bullet in his shoulder.

I should have known better, man, you know?

You know why, Jack?

Because you're a fuck-up.

You're a fuck-up.

You always been a fuck-up.

Well your shit's here, so let's get off the boat

and be done with it, all right?

Not unless you want to inherit my problems right now.

Where's your other man?

Where's yours?

Morgan?

He's in that warehouse, ready to do the offload,

right where he belongs.

That's a lot of fire power to unload a boat.

Really?

Well you know what they say, you never can be too careful

these days, you know?

Did you bring the money?

What?

Oh, the money, right.

Well, there was a couple suggestions about that now.

Really?

Really, and I thought maybe I would just take all the weed,

and all the money and fuck you guys!

Fuck them.

Kill these motherfuckers.

Jack.

(GUNFIRE)

Go get that Greek fuck!

Jack, somebody messes me with me, I'm going to mess with them.

Somebody fucks with me, I'm going to fuck with them.

I almost trusted you... almost.

You kicking in on my Colombian contacts, that's one thing.

I get a phone call, somebody says the words DEA,

that I can't forgive.

Fuck you.

He ain't fucking out here.

Go find him, help him!

Get off your ass, go out there and find him.

Chop these motherfuckers up, make them really small.

Leave Jack in one piece.

He and I, we got a stop to make.

(LAUGHING)

(SCREAMING)

Hey kiddo, why don't we just call it a night?

I'm going to wait here for Mike, because Mike said

he was coming back tonight.

Maybe Mike... maybe he can't keep that promise.

What the fuck did you do?

I didn't do anything.

I didn't do anything!

I just heard.

What did you hear?

Well, I heard that maybe Mike won't be coming home tonight.

Oh my God, Mike.

Oh baby, you're bleeding.

Go get in the car, Annie.

You asshole, get the fuck out of here, too.

Boring conversation, anyway.

(GUNSHOT)

Where's Jack?

(GUNSHOT)

Where's Jack?

We left Jack in a swamp up off of Dixie Highway last night.

Rossi, where the fuck is Rossi?

Gone.

He took all my fucking money.

I'm just... Mike, just go ahead and...

I'm not going to waste a bullet on an old son of a bitch

like you.

(GURGLING)

Help! Help!

(GUNSHOT)

Mike, you were fucking dead, man.

Almost.

Let me cut you loose.

(LAUGHING)

How'd you fucking find me, man?

The pig squealed.

Come here.

Leeches, son of a bitch.

Little peckers.

Rossi.

Let's get the fuck out of here, come on.

No.

Sure you want to do this?

Yeah.

You know, I can't live like this anymore.

Man, I deserve better.

Yes, you do.

Hey, I hope you do right for yourself.

I hope you're smart, do what you can do

to put this all back on an even keel.

If I were you, I'd disappear, too.

Get the fuck out of here.

But knowing you, Jack, you probably won't.

You worry too much, Mike.

Where's he going?

He's going to do what a man has to do.

Ah, shit.

Where you been, smuggler?

Trying to stay alive while you dickheads

have been playing catch-up.

Dickheads.

Well, we caught up.

I was at the drop point last night but you and your boys

never showed, which means you are now a fugitive,

as per our agreement.

Rossi changed the drop point at the last moment.

I couldn't get word to you, okay?

Well I could hear you loud and clear on channel 14, talking

about boat parts about an hour before we were supposed to meet.

That was Rossi's code.

We have identical dictionaries.

The first part is the page of the dictionary.

The second half of it is the word on the page.

Brilliant, fucking brilliant.

And useless as fuck without me knowing what the hell it means.

Next thing I know, we get a report of gunfire down at

the docks last night, so I stop in and take a look around.

Lo and behold, there I stand with a boat full of grass

and a warehouse full of blood.

And you, you, right in the fucking middle of it all.

Well, it makes for a nice headline, doesn't it?

Yeah, well I don't want a fucking headline, all right?

I want it to stop.

Now where is Rossi, Jack?

He's disappeared, but I have a good idea where he's at.

You gave me a job to do.

You going to let me finish or not?

You got three days to show me proof of death.

I swear on my father's grave, you will never step foot

on American soil as a free man again.

Now do you understand that?

Yeah?

And bring me the money Rossi used in the buy with Vuerta.

Seems our boys weren't the only ones interested in the money.

Don't forget to check out.

Checking out, Jack?

I'm looking for a man by the name of Rossi.

Where is he?

Hola...

Come on, seoritas.

I'm at half mast for God's sake.

After all, what are friends for?

Jack.

Dead or alive, Frank.

That's what the DEA gave me for you.

Fuck the DEA!

Jack, you're here, okay?

I got money, we got money.

We're all good, man.

We're free and clear.

The job's done, man.

Where's the money?

Get your hands off me, I'll tell ya.

It's in that brown bag.

It's only 10K.

I know it's only 10K.

I just need to get to a bank, you know,

and do a wire transfer.

This is what the lives of my men are worth, Frank?

That and leaving me in a fucking swamp to die?

A few bills and a fucking rubber band?

I think it's... okay, look.

Just... Jack, just tell me a number, any number,

and I'll get it.

I'll get it to you, okay?

Just don't kill me.

Don't.

(GUNSHOTS)

Seor.

(GUNSHOT)

(GUNSHOT)

(LAUGHTER)

(LAUGHTER)

(LAUGHTER AND TALKING)

(SINGING IN SPANISH)

(YELLING)

Carlos?

Jack.

(GUNSHOT)

(YELLING AND GUNSHOTS)

(LAUGHING)

(SOBBING)

It's over, it's over now, it's over now, it's over.

(PHONE RINGING)

It's all done.
