Say something.

What?

What's with the silence?

I'm talking to you.

You're out of your mind, aren't you?

I'm angry.

Seriously?

Say it or not?

Okay, then I'll

Get gabbing or get going.

Well.

I've decided.

I will apply for the Fire and Rescue Academy this year.

What... what are you talking about?

I mean,

today is the first time that we met

I think

we can be friends

before we fall in love.

If we fit,

we can get married then.

Well.

I'm here on a blind date

for the purpose of getting married.

Yeah, I know.

So I don't think it's necessary

to fall in love.

After all,

our conditions are quite compatible.

I believe

we wouldn't have any big conflicts after we get married.

So, I think love can be developed

Be developed after marriage?

Do you think

it is possible?

It should be.

Well.

I see you in person today.

I am very satisfied with you.

Aren't you satisfied with me?

No, that's not it.

I think you're nice.

I mean...

Love is the foundation of marriage.

We can't be together just with compatible status.

Really.

OK.

It's okay to fall in love.

Sorry.

I was worried too much before.

But you know what?

From the moment I saved that man,

I suddenly figured it out.

If I'm frightened,

and don't try,

I will owe myself the biggest debt.

I have thought it through.

Even if I fail the exam,

and you guys laugh at me,

Leaders.

Teachers.

[Graduation Ceremony of the Class] Fellow students.

[of 2020 of Southeast Medical College] Hello, everyone.

My name is Yan Lan.

I am a graduate

of clinical medicine in the Class of 2017.

I am honored to be here

to share my graduation speech with you.

My mentor

is Ye Qiu Ran, Professor Ye.

I call him

Father Ye in private.

It's a pity

that he cannot

come to my graduation ceremony today.

I think many of the students here

have attended his class.

His class

is not as interesting as he is.

It's even a little boring.

While writing this speech,

I have been trying to remember

what Professor Ye said in class.

The most frequent word he has ever said

is that doctors do not treat themselves.

I don't want to take it as a motto

and give this word to you.

I believe many students here will be nervous

when you get the scalpel

for the first time.

You will blame yourself

for making a little mistake for a long time.

Me too.

I blamed myself for a long time.

I couldn't get Professor Ye back.

I don't know

how I got through these days.

I thought I'd never get out again.

But I stand here today

because Professor Ye gave me the courage

to overcome my fears.

I want to be like

Professor Ye in the future.

What I said about Professor Ye

is to tell you

doctors do not

treat themselves,

but saving others is like saving themselves.

Thank you.

Why are you...

In a moment, you all...

Why are you all out?

What should I do?

You all ran out inadvertently.

I dare not touch you.

Sister Xian, what's going on?

Why did you get back so late?

Hurry, got them for me.

Put them in the basin. They scared me.

What's going on here?

Why did you buy these?

I bought these for Yan Lan.

They are very nutritious.

What?

What?

Why are you doing this?

We'll just have a simple meal.

What are you saying?

Do you look like you're in love?

You won't coax her when she's angry,

and you won't say anything sweet.

If I, as a mother-in-law,

don't work harder,

when will Yan Lan

Give it to me.

Okay, thank you.

Hey, Yan Lan.

Yes?

Is your home here?

Yes.

But when I was a kid, we moved out for a few years.

And then we came back.

Went out?

Yeah.

Is it because your parents got a job transfer?

No.

But it's a long story.

When I was a kid,

I got into a chemical plant because I was playful,

and there was an explosion.

Thanks to the fireman, he saved me.

Then I stayed in the hospital for a long time,

inhaling a lot of smoke.

My heart and lung function is not in a good condition.

At that time, I often had nightmares

about what happened that day,

so my parents took me to another city

and changed my environment.

So it is.

It was only later that I learned

that the fireman who saved me died in that incident.

So I said to myself,

I must live a good life.

Only in this way can I live up to the kindness

of the fireman to me.

Was it in 2000 that the chemical plant caught fire?

Yes.

In Nanjing?

Yes, in Nanjing.

What's up?

Sister Xian, did I say something wrong?
