for ballet, but I didn't ever realize,

like, what was missing.

so many people out there that are not still dancing

I am a voice-strumentalist.

I used to be the Man of 10,000 Sound Effects,

but we're into the hundreds of thousands now.

And how did it start?

- I always did this. And this was just a part of me.

I've been making sounds since I was a kid.

So, after high school,

I hitchhiked to Los Angeles, and I didn't know where to go.

I didn't know what I was going to do.

I just knew that I wanted to do this.

And then I ended up being a part of this movie

called "Police Academy."

And suddenly my life changed.

From there, I ended up being part of "Gremlins."

I got a couple of good lines like, "Gizmo caca."

And "Spaceballs."

So I ended up doing pretty well.

But I stopped making movies

because I quit the business for my children.

I had to raise them because I became a widower.

Now, after raising my two kids,

I'm in a different phase, and I think this is my time.

And "America's Got Talent" is the place for me

to show everyone I still have something to offer.

I'd just paint my own soundscape.

- So, Michael, look, with all the success

and with all the hit movies you've had,

tell me why you decided to come on "America's Got Talent."

- Well, my son Britton said,

"This is 'America's Got Talent.'

"You can come out here and be anything you want

instead of being forced to be something you don't."

- So, this is the show you come to be yourself.

- Yeah.

- So the time that I have,

I'm gonna share it with you.

How did I get into this? How do I make noises?

I don't know. I grew up making noises.

I can't stop it, man.

When I was growing up,

I lived next to an active runway.

My father was in the Air Force,

so that meant every few seconds...

My mom wasn't prepared for that.

"Why is the six-month-old baby making noises?"

[laughter]

Now, later on in life,

I learned that these sounds can get you in trouble.

I'll give you an example.

On an aircraft, this is what I did.

Don't do that on a plane, man.

They're gonna think it's real.

I did that.

So to keep myself occupied,

my mom and dad gave me my first radio.

My name is Kyle Cragle.

I am 24 years old,

and I am a hand-balancing contortionist.

One of the most difficult parts about what I do

is that it's so physical.

I train a lot because ever since I was a child,

I always dreamed of performing on an international stage,

so being given this opportunity

is a very, very, very big deal.

[soft dramatic music]

I've put in hundreds if not thousands of hours.

There have been hard moments.

There have been blood, sweat, and tears

because there's nothing that gives me

the feeling that performing does.

I have trained my entire life for this moment.

So many people's dreams have come true

on "America's Got Talent."

It's just so exciting because my dream could also come true.

There is a moment

right before I go onstage where I

can really feel that transformation.

It's almost like

I'm a completely different person,

the true essence of who Kyle is.

It's a story of everything that she is to me

and everything that I want to be to her.

Actually, the reason I'm here is because of my wife.

She is a U.S. Navy veteran.

She is also a brain cancer survivor.

- November 5th, 2016,

I met the love of my life.

Now, how did you guys met?

- I met Ray attending a party.

It was very dimly-lit,

and I said, "Hey, look at that guy

with those stupid sunglasses on."

[laughter]

- Literally, that's the first thing.

- Wow.

- First thing I heard my wife say.

- The relationship starts real.

- It doesn't take all day to recognize sunshine,

and as soon as I saw her, I understood she was sunshine.

[tender music]

We were married November 2018.

- Did you know he was a singer? - I found out very quickly.

Ray has literally sang every moment

that his eyes have been open.

- To sing has been my dream my entire life,

but after college, I was looking for a job.

I ended up selling cars,

but I never stopped singing.

Music takes me to another world,

and I found it helps me get through hard times.

Just after our one-year anniversary,

Roslyn was getting headaches.

- So I went to the doctor, and she said,

"You have a mass the size of an orange on your brain."

- Look who's up?

* *

Ten months of chemotherapy.

It was hard seeing her go through that.

* *

When I felt helpless, I sat down at the piano,

with her by my side, and I sang her a song,

and it was simply to make my wife smile.

- His singing helped.

It got me through brain cancer.

Yeah, it helped a lot.

I told him that I wanted for him to live his dream,

and I'm so proud of him being here.

I'm sorry. I'm so proud of him being here.

I really am.

- And tonight I am very happy

to announce that she is cancer-free.
