Episode 32

It's okay.

I was just answering a call, baby.

I'm really fine.

Look, I'm fine.

Baby, let me tell you.

Yungang Public Security Bureau Command Center

How is it going?

We're almost done.

We got the location.

Yangshe District, Yungang City, Wangxi

It's located on a street in Yungang City.

Can you narrow it down?

I'm on it.

Do you remember everything I said?

You keep staring at me.

I'll remember all of it.

Also...

That's it.

What are you doing? Let us talk a little longer.

Congtou, don't worry.

Our people will take care of her.

Glasses.

Just a few more words, okay?

It's at the common border of the southern suburbs and Meng County.

Can you narrow it down further?

Please, I promise.

I just want to say a few more words.

Congtou.

As long as you agree to work with me,

I will make sure Xiaoyue

comes back to you in one piece.

Why do you care

about these short few minutes?

It won't take long.

Fine, I'll give you one more minute.

Baby.

I'm telling you.

Your mom

sent a message.

My mom?

What did she say?

Is she angry?

Does she blame me?

Did you get it yet, Zheng Ke?

I'm almost done.

She's slowly accepting us now.

It's my fault.

Even though it has been so long,

I didn't let you spend time with your mom.

I promise.

Once we have the baby,

I will definitely take you

to visit your mom more often.

Okay, Congtou.

Has he found the address?

And you called him an expert?

He still failed after all.

Who said he failed?

Well...

In that case,

he's really an expert.

That's great.

Congtou and his mistress

can finally be together.

Let's go.

I've known you for so long.

Only today did I realize

that you're a romantic.

All right, let's get down to business.

Let's talk about our partnership.

Glasses.

If you want to talk about partnership,

we can just talk about it properly.

Do the two of us

really have to be like this?

As your friend and partner,

I just want you to do your job.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time.

This isn't giving me a hard time?

You kidnapped my family.

Isn't that giving me a hard time?

You want me to do my job?

Dakun and Tieguanyin both did their job.

They both worked hard.

And how did they end up?

Glasses, in our business,

it's like playing with fire.

You don't know when this fire

will burn you.

Mr. Glasses.

We've known each other for over ten years.

I have always respected you.

Mr. Glasses.

I'm begging you.

Give me a break.

Can't you give me a way out?

"A way out"?

Congtou.

Everyone chooses their own path.

When you should leave or stop,

that's not up to either of us.

So...

"The road ahead is long,

I shall search the way out."

What does that mean?

I'll put it in a simpler way.

It's like a doe

that is being hunted down by a hunter.

If it wants to live,

all it can do is to keep on running.

If it turns around,

death will be waiting for it.

Are you planning to arrest Congtou?

Yes.

Police for the public

Glasses kidnapped Xiaoyue

to threaten Congtou to stay in Group K.

Which means

Congtou is ready to leave Group K.

So the fact that Glasses kidnapped Xiaoyue

has made Congtou more determined to run away.

Congtou is a romantic.

The fact that Xiaoyue is kidnapped

makes him want to leave Group K even more.

He might even hate Group K.

Following that train of thoughts,

as long as we have Congtou,

he will definitely speak the truth.

He will provide us with more Group K's lawbreaking evidence.

He could even be our witness.

I know what you're thinking.

But I have a request.

Before we arrest Congtou,

we have to rescue Xiaoyue

and keep her under our protection.

She and her baby are innocent.

We can't let them get hurt.

Regarding this,

you can get Yuanwen and Rong Yu to coordinate with you.

Got it.

Okay.

We'll save Xiaoyue first.

Then we'll work with Task Force 84

and wait for the chance to arrest Congtou.

As for the time and method,

we'll wait for your call.

This is going to be a difficult mission.

Glasses is keeping a close eye on Xiaoyue.

It's hard for us to make a move.

What's more,

even if we save her,

we have to find a place to hide her.

I have an idea.

This morning,

I let Congtou and Xiaoyue

talked to each other through a video call.

I think

he'll listen to us.

I want everyone to be happy as well.

But the circumstances don't permit it.

Spectre just sent a message.

He's arriving in Yungang soon.

At this crucial point in time,

no one in the group

can make any mistakes.

So I want you to keep a close eye

on Congtou and Xiaoyue.

Once we close the deal with Spectre,

it will be a complete comeback for us.

Got it.

Once the business stabilizes,

I want you to find a place

for Congtou and Xiaoyue to live in peace.

That's the least I can do for him

as an old friend.

Say that again.

You found out where Xiaoyue is?

Tell me. Where is she?

Congtou, calm down.

Mu Qing and I went to check on the place.

Do you know how many of Mr. Glasses's men

are keeping an eye on her?

If we barge in recklessly,

not only won't we be able to save her,

but we might also be risking our lives.

Then tell me. What should I do?

What should I do?

Congtou.

I have an idea.

Maybe we can get your wife out of there.

Ma'am, stop eating.

If you upset your stomach,

Mr. Glasses will scold me for it.

Give it to me.

Give it to me!

Order me a bowl of braised pork.

Braised pork.

Order it, hurry.

-That's my takeaway, right? -Is it yours?

It's mine. I just called to rush the order. Look.

Isn't this Yuxiang shredded pork?

This is braised pork.

I'm sorry.

I'm mistaken.

What a nuisance.

When is my food coming then?

Here's your braised pork.

I want to go to the bathroom.

Go ahead.

After five minutes,

go for a walk in the woods near the villa.

Why isn't she here yet?

Let's just wait.

Wait? What if they notice us?

Can we just wait a little longer?

Come on.

It's all my fault.

It's okay now.

It's fine. It's my fault, okay?

Let me introduce you.

This is Mu Qing.

This is Li Ruosheng.

Go with Mu Qing.

Li Ruosheng and I will protect you. Okay?

No, I want to go with you.

I promise.

You will be with me in no time.

Listen to me for now, all right?

Let's go. Mu Qing, please take care of her.

Thank you.

Mu Qing, I'm counting on you.

Who did it?

Wait for me. I'll be there right away.

Sir, she...

You know what you have to do.

Mr. Glasses.

Why did you bring so many men?

Give me a call if you're coming next time.

I'll pick you up downstairs.

Congtou, Mr. Glasses is here.

You can just visit,

why do you have to bring

so many men with you?

Mr. Glasses, have a seat.

Where is she?

Who?

I'm asking you. Where is she?

And I asked, who are you referring to?

-Shao Nan, search this place. -Search the place.

Hold on.

Mr. Glasses.

You're welcome to visit my house.

But you brought so many men here

to search my house.

Does Godfather know?

What do you think?

Why don't you give your godfather a call?

Search the place!

Don't touch my bed.

Mr. Glasses.

I've been here since this morning.

For the whole morning,

I've been drinking

and playing cards with Ruosheng.

Look, the cards are still here.

Tell me. Who exactly are you looking for?

Don't play dumb.

Don't you know who I'm looking for?

I don't know.

Who exactly are you looking for?

There's no one.

There's no one here either.

There's no one, Mr. Glasses.

I'm sorry to interrupt, gentlemen.

Let's go.

What is it?

Are you leaving already?

Mr. Glasses.

Let me give you

a piece of advice.

Take good care of Xiaoyue for me.

Otherwise,

you'll never hear the end of it.

Sub by iQiyi & Ripped by skysoultan ♔ Follow @skysoultan on Instagram ♔

This is all thanks to Mu Qing's thoughtfulness.

Otherwise, he would have caught us.

Glasses won't let this go so easily.

Xiaoyue isn't safe with Mu Qing either.

We have to inform Mu Qing.

Congtou, don't worry.

She's not with Mu Qing right now.

She's someplace safe.

Slowly.

You must be Xiaoyue, right?

You are...

I'm Ou Kexin.

You're Mr. Ou's daughter?

Don't worry.

We are two different people.

You're safe with us.

Trust me.

Come on.

Sir.

I've checked everywhere.

Congtou, Li Ruosheng, and Mu Qing.

None of them has made any move.

Their men are all on their own turfs.

No one went out.

Maybe Congtou hired an outsider to do it.

Anything that you can think of,

Congtou can too.

But...

I still have doubts

about Mu Qing and Li Ruosheng.

When we were at the old place,

they fell out with each other.

This play they put on

looks fake no matter how I look at it.

Fine, let's look into it again.

But what's most important

is you must find out where Xiaoyue is.

Understood.

Thank you for the trouble.

Ms. Ou, everything you asked me to buy

is all here.

I didn't miss a single thing.

Li Ruosheng, not bad at all.

You even got the right brands.

Am I a three-year-old?

Don't flatter yourself.

That's a lot of stuff.

It's not much.

You will be staying here for a while.

No, I can't do that.

I don't want to trouble anyone.

Besides, you guys got me out.

I'm sure you want Congtou to be informed

so that he can come to pick me up.

I know that you're all good people.

But for me,

I want to be with my husband.

Ma'am.

Since you think we're good people,

then you should believe that we won't harm you.

The main issue at hand

is we have to find a good way

for you to meet Congtou.

The group has too many eyes.

It's too dangerous to go out now.

Then will Congtou be in danger too?

This is for you.

The group kidnapped you

to ensure Congtou doesn't leave the group

and continue doing his job.

Now, the group needs his help.

So his safety isn't a problem.

But if you insist on leaving,

you won't be safe.

This is the safest place

we could come up with.

Yes.

We're trying to figure out a safer way

to send you away later.

Hello.

I'm telling you. I don't have much time.

Bring Xiaoyue to Yangwan Pier now.

I'll keep all my promises. Okay?

Your every move

is being watched by Glasses.

You won't be able to leave without our help.

Don't bother if I can leave or not.

I'll leave if I can.

Otherwise, I'll fight with them. Okay?

All of you already did your best.

This is no longer your business.

I will take care of the rest.

Just bring Xiaoyue to me, okay?

Hello?

Was that Congtou?

What did he say?

Is he coming to pick me up?

Hurry and think of a way to send me there.

You can't go out now. It's too dangerous.

Sir, the boat is ready.

Okay, got it.

I don't care if it's dangerous.

As long as I can be with him,

I'll do anything.

Please help me think of a way

to send me over there, okay?

Why don't the two of you

discuss it outside?

I'll keep her distracted.

It's tiring to create a fuss.

Let her rest for a while.

Have a seat.

Forcing Xiaoyue to stay

will alert Congtou.

It might also make Li Ruosheng suspicious.

Either way is not good.

But if we send Xiaoyue to Congtou,

we can't guarantee her safety anymore.

Besides, Director Liu has emphasized it many times.

Our priority

is to make sure Xiaoyue is safe.

If Congtou is surrounded by Glasses's men

and things get out of hand,

we might end up hurting innocent people.

All right then.

We'll keep Xiaoyue here for now.

Let's figure out a way later.

Hello.

Congtou.

Where are you guys?

Are you on your way yet?

We're on our way.

What's going on?

What's wrong?

Did something happen?

What could go wrong?

Your wife is with us.

Don't worry. We'll be there in a bit.

Why are you mumbling then?

Let me talk to Xiaoyue.

Think about it, Congtou.

Let's all be honest.

Everything we did was for you

and your wife's own good.

What do you mean for my own good?

I don't need your concern.

All you care for are the raw materials I own

and my business.

Stop beating around the bush.

Just tell me. Where on earth are you?

Where are we?

Li Ruosheng, give me the phone.

Let me talk to Xiaoyue!

Okay, Congtou.

Hello.

Congtou, are you okay?

I'm at Kexin's house.

I'm safe.

Why are you still there?

Didn't you all depart yet?

Baby, put Ruosheng on the phone.

Congtou.

Ruosheng, I’m begging you.

If you still respect me as a friend,

can you bring her to me?

I'm telling you.

If you don't bring her here,

I'll pick her up myself!

But Congtou, right now...

Ma'am, where are you going?

I'm leaving.

Can you listen to me for a second?

You really can't leave right now.

Let's find another way to solve this.

What other way is there?

Wait, what do you mean?

What do I mean?

Glasses kidnapped me

for his business in Group K.

And your so-called "saving me"

is just the same as Glasses.

It's for your business too.

I'm not your tool.

That's why I must go.

-Ma'am. -Don't touch me!

Okay, I...

I won't touch you.

Well, this is how it is.

You're pregnant.

If anything happens to you out there

and you don't see Congtou,

I won't know how to explain myself to him.

You're carrying a child.

I can't just watch you die.

Where are you going?

Anywhere is safer for me than here.

I knew it.

All of you are just like Glasses.

You're just using me and my baby

to threaten Congtou.

I realize it now.

You need to know one thing.

We're the ones who saved you.

We're also the ones protecting you.

If you think we're the same as glasses,

you're free to go.

But you need to know one thing.

The people outside are all spies sent by Glasses.

Don't think that both of you

can leave Yungang so easily.

That's not true. Congtou will protect me.

Protect you?

He can't even protect himself now,

let alone you.

If you think he can carry you and swim across the river,

you might as well just drown in the river.

No one can help you now.

Ruosheng, call Congtou.

Send her away.

For real?

We did all we could.

She just wouldn't listen.

Just call him.

Trust us, Xiaoyue.

Mr. Glasses.

Our guys by the pier

found a suspicious yacht.

It seems to be rented by Congtou's friend.

What friend?

Just a poor friend.

He recently received a large sum of money.

It was Congtou who sent him the money.

Mr. Glasses.

Do you think Congtou

is trying to play tricks?

Since Congtou wants to die,

we won't stop him then.

Mu Qing, you're quite a good cook.

Let's open a restaurant.

Here, ma'am.

What now?

She's pregnant.

And you used your chopsticks to serve her food?

It's unsanitary.

I'm not sick.

You're really pissing me off.

Here.

Xiaoyue, drink this.

Trotter soup is very nutritious.

Have some.

Even if you don't want to eat,

you have to eat for the baby.

Why?

Babies need nutrition to grow, of course.

Why are you doing this to me?

We have a purpose.

Is that what you want to hear?

I just can't stand my dad

for doing that to you and Congtou.

I just want to take care of you

for a few days.

We will also think of a way

to send you away.

Kexin is right, ma'am.

You have to eat, even a little.

You can't starve your baby. Am I right?

Have some soup.

Have some.

Go ahead.

Mr. Glasses, you're right.

Congtou is at the pier.

Sir.

Should we bring Congtou back?

Where's Xiaoyue?

We haven't seen her yet.

Here's what you should do.

If you see Xiaoyue,

bring both of them to me.

If she doesn't show up,

don't alert Congtou.

Yes, sir.

Sir.

I suspect Li Ruosheng and Mu Qing

are hiding Xiaoyue.

You just want my permission

to keep an eye on those two rascals.

I have no choice.

I can't think of another way.

If it weren't for Spectre,

I wouldn't want to agree to this.

All right. Do as you wish.

Yes.

Hello.

Shao Nan.

Keep an eye on Li Ruosheng and Mu Qing.

If you see Xiaoyue and Congtou

contacting them,

call me right away.

Do you want me to check Ou Kexin as well?

Not yet.

It will be worse if she finds out.

Keep your eyes on those two rascals.

If we find out they're helping Congtou,

everything will be easier.

Understood.

I just want to know.

Am I the errand boy or the delivery guy?

How did I end up

becoming her grocery shopper?

You ate so much.

It's good for digestion.

Hurry up and go.

Ask her to text me everything she needs

all at once.

Don't make me do so many trips.

Okay, I'll ask her to do that. Go on.

Is she asleep?

Yes.

Take a look.

Glasses called me more than ten times.

I guess he still doesn't believe you.

It would be weirder if he didn't suspect me.

My dad and Glasses

won't let this slide so easily.

I think

Xiaoyue is not safe with me either.

So you're saying

that we should send Xiaoyue away first?

Or let Rong Yao pick her up.

No. That's too dangerous.

Glasses is suspecting me.

I'm sure he suspected you too.

Sending her away or getting someone to pick her up

is not a good idea.

I'm not questioning your ability.

But we can't afford to make any mistakes.

I have to get what Congtou has right now.

It's not only so that Ruosheng and I

can take down Glasses,

but it's also for us to be able

to meet Spectre in the future.

What Congtou has and to meet Spectre?

I knew it. They're just using me.

So you're still worried.

I'm worried about you.

Worried about me?

I can't let anything happen to you.

Hello, Congtou.

Where are you?

What are you doing?

I've been waiting for you!

Calm down.

I'll go check.

I know.

I understand what you're saying. I...

Listen to me.

Let me analyze how high the stakes are.

Don't talk about the stakes with me.

If you ask me,

you just don't want to let

Xiaoyue and I leave, right?

If you think so,

you have really misunderstood us.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Glasses must be targeting you by now.

He's just waiting for us to send Xiaoyue over

so that he can take us all at once.

If you don't believe me,

let's take the risk and try.

Why should I?

How do you want me to try?

Congtou, it's me, Mu Qing.

I have an idea. Do you want to hear it?

They really are running away.

Guys, let's go.

What do you want?

What are you doing here?

Congtou.

This is just a misunderstanding.

A misunderstanding, my foot!

Let me ask you.

Did Glasses send you?

Congtou.

I asked if Glasses sent you here!

On your knees.

I said get on your knees.

What did you say to me?

Repeat yourself in front of Mr. Ou.

Say something.

I said, talk!

Congtou, you went too far.

Why can't you say it nicely?

Am I not talking to him nicely?

I'm talking to him nicely now.

Explain yourself!

Sir, you're here too.

Let's get things sorted out today.

You mean

you want me to find a woman

to disguise herself as Xiaoyue.

Then bring her on board

and see if there's an ambush around me?

That's not all.

If Glasses's men take action,

it's as good as getting

one of Glasses's weaknesses.

So I need you to turn this

against Mr. Glasses in front of Mr. Ou.

Get Mr. Ou to agree

to get rid of Mr. Glasses's surveillance.

That's the only way you can leave.

At first, I thought it was strange.

My girlfriend was kidnapped by Glasses.

He threatened me to work with him.

I really thought that was your idea.

Why was I so foolish in the beginning?

I shouldn't have taken it seriously.

Sir.

Since you're here,

please tell me.

It wasn't your idea, was it?

Sir.

I, Congtou,

have been working for you for years.

All these years, just like you said,

we're friends

who went through thick and thin.

I don't believe that it was your idea.

Congtou.

Can we talk outside?

Why can't we talk here?

Why can't we sort it out here?

Sir.

At this very moment,

Glasses is still holding

my girlfriend hostage.

He kidnapped her

and forced me to work with him.

He kidnapped my girlfriend.

He's the one causing trouble.

Sir, say something.

Can I have my girlfriend back?

My girlfriend is pregnant with my son!

What's the matter?

You don't want to work with Glasses?

I never said I didn't want to.

The new factory has been set up.

Glasses also have the power

to distribute the goods.

What else can I do if I don't work with him?

My girlfriend and my son's life

are in his hands.

I can only cooperate with him.

Then why were you anxiously waiting

on a yacht by the pier?

Sir.

Are you suspecting

that I was trying to run away?

Am I wrong?

You know what they say.

God is above everyone.

The heavens know everything we're doing.

I, Congtou,

swear to the heavens today.

If I'm planning to run away,

I'll die a horrible death

and be struck by lightning.

What about that woman just now?
