=Episode 36=

I’ll be in the Hidden Mountain for 100 years,

which is not

over-long.

What’s worrying me the most is you.

No need to worry about me.

I’ll take care of Qingchi Palace for you.

But

you’ll have no one to share feelings.

Won’t you feel lonely?

How could I be lonely?

I could read stories and play dice.

I’m pretty good at enjoying myself.

But now

whom will you share feelings with?

You read my mind?

We have been together for ten thousand years.

Undoubtedly, we know each other well.

He’s Jingjian?

Am I wrong?

What do you think of him?

You mean Jingjian?

Do you think

he will treat me like Qingmu treats you?

You finally admit it.

Just go and ask him.

Why bother asking me

to lose your elegance?

If it were someone else,

I would ask him directly.

But he is Jingjian,

the brother of Jingyang,

and the son of Heavenly Empress.

Jingjian is different from his family.

He can tell right from wrong

and is open and upright.

He has spoken out for Qingchi Palace because of you.

In his heart,

no one is more important than you.

My feelings for Fengran

are my business.

It has nothing to do with her.

Do you remember what I told you

at the bottom of Huajing Pond?

If you treat me with sincerity,

I will repay you with sincerity.

Shoot!

His Grace asked me to buy something.

I forgot it.

Houchi,

thank you.

I take my leave.

Did she get what I mean?

Why are you here?

Qingmu invited me here.

I got your medicine.

Thank you.

You heard

what my brother said about you.

If you feel offended,

I apologize to you for him.

There is nothing else you want to share with me?

No, there isn’t.

You’re a macho man.

Couldn’t you be straight with me

about whether you have a crush on me

or not?

I’ve made a breakthrough in cultivation.

- So I’m looking for a better magic weapon. - Magic weapons.

Come and have a look.

Okay.

Why did you bring me here?

For shopping, of course.

Shopping?

The goods here are low-end.

If you want something,

go to get it at Zisong Hall.

You have no idea

how funny it is to shop here.

Anyway,

you upset me today.

You have to cover my expenses.

Okay.

I’ll buy

what you like.

Only two low-grade sacred beads.

It’s too expensive.

Miss, may I help you?

Sir.

How much are the red candles?

You have good taste.

Despite being plain and ordinary,

the candles were used

when the daughter of Qingqiu and Immortal Gold Dragon got married.

The moral is happiness.

One top-grade sacred bead for the pair.

What a good story.

The immortal power of the candles is gone.

It could only burn for a thousand years.

Even a low-grade sacred bead is too much.

I didn’t expect you know the ropes.

I’ll charge you a low-grade sacred bead.

Well...

We’re going to hold a wedding ceremony.

I pay you one low-grade sacred bead

for these two candles

and get this one, this one and this one

for free.

Is that Okay with you?

Miss,

you’re too stingy.

I can’t accept your offer.

Your offer is too low.

Hold on.

Two low-grade sacred beads?

Your offer is too low.

I can’t accept it.

Do something.

His Grace ordered me to make a purchase.

If I fail,

he’ll surely nag at me.

Sir,

you just said

these candles

were used at the wedding ceremony of Qingqiu and the God Dragon of East Sea.

I happen to work in the Heavenly Palace

and know that

the marriage between immortal and demon is prohibited.

As an immortal,

you possess prohibited items.

Sir, forgive me.

I won’t sell them.

Is that okay with you?

I got so much good stuff with one sacred bead.

Today,

I hit the jackpot.

Since you’ve got what you want,

could you forgive me?

You want to brush me off

with such a little stuff.

If I don’t use up your money,

I will not be Fengran.

Good.

(Qingchi Palace)

Houchi.

Why are you here?

Aren’t we allowed to see each other before marriage?

Don’t worry.

Jiaye and others have been bribed.

I brought these for you.

They are...

The Hidden Mountain is dangerous

and barren.

There are lots of fierce beasts.

Though your spiritual power has been improved,

it’s still not enough

to protect yourself.

I made these pellets

so that you won’t suffer.

All these are made by yourself?

These Spiritual Talismans

are made of Taicang Spear’s breath.

In moments of danger,

they can protect you.

You’ve considered everything for me.

It’s very nice of you.

But

why are all these for protecting me?

What if I feel lonely

and bored?

I’ve already come up with a solution.

What is this Spirit Beast?

So cute.

Lord Donghua

deceived me.

He said it’s a rare dog.

Turns out it has no spiritual aura at all,

except being honest and adorable.

So it can amuse you.

Do you like it?

I like it very much.

This is the best gift I’ve ever received.

This is nothing.

You’ll be the wife of North Sea Lord.

In the Heavenly Realm,

no matter what you like,

I’ll get it for you.

Huang,

if he fails me,

help me bite him.

Houchi.

I have another gift for you.

I’m sure you will like it.

(Dibei Town)

Dibei Town.

Goddess Houchi,

please follow me.

Sir, make a pot of tea.

Okay.

Did she learn from you?

Shuo has no spiritual root.

But after learning kung fu,

she can surely take care of herself.

Teaching a mortal child

must cost you lots of energy.

When did you teach her?

My sweetheart.

We haven’t got married.

Are you going to check up on me?

Immortal Miss.

There you are.

I thought Qingmu cheated me again.

Hey, girl.

When did I cheat you?

You’re much stricter than my father.

He also threatened me

if I didn’t practice well, I would starve.

Bai Shuo!

But I asked to learn kung fu.

Mother said

I can’t depend on you for everything.

Father has passed away.

The Bai family will count on me.

You grow up.

Dibei Town

and your mother will be protected by you.

Right!

It’s rare for you to come here.

I’ll let Mother cook for you.

My favorite osmanthus cakes

must be your favorite.

Goddess Houchi,

let me guess.

Are you going to thank me for Shuo?

The pure evil you absorbed is sealed in Underground Palace.

You came to teach her kung fu

before recovery.

I’m very touched.

Such words are not enough.

You should thank me like this.

So sweet.

Sweeter than osmanthus cakes.

Aren’t we going to a wonderful land?

Why are we in the Demon Realm?

Look!

You grew up at Heavenly Palace.

You must have never seen such a beautiful sunset.

So I take you here.

Good wine is for beautiful scenery.

What a pleasure!

I heard the clouds of Abyssal Ridge Swamp

after rain is wonderful.

Today, I found

it deserves its reputation.

I grew up in the Demon Realm

and always came here watching the sunset.

My father always had to look for me.

When my father can’t find me,

he would call me with Red Feather.

I kept saying I would avenge him.

But I failed

till today.

If Jingyang were not your bother,

I would already kill him.

I didn’t mean that.

Fengran.

I can only make up for the mistakes

my family made to you by treating you well.

You treat me just because of guilt?

Of course no.

Tens of thousands of years have passed.

The setting sun has not changed.

But the people who watch the setting sun have changed.

I’m in a hurry.

I’m leaving.

Look out for yourself.

Take it easy.

No one takes your wine.

Fengran.

I was rude just now.

You know why I took you here?

Although the sunset is beautiful,

it’s short.

So is our life.

Despite being long, it’s just a drop in the ocean.

We should cherish the present.

Do you agree with me?

Fengran.

Go back and have a rest.

I’ll see you

at the wedding tomorrow.

Okay.

Jingjian,

I have some words for you.

You told me that you have got everything

to change my mind.

Marriage can’t be changed at will.

What are you talking about?

It’s not what you think.

I’ll marry you for sure.

You scare me.

I thought you changed your mind.

Can you repeat

what you said just now about marrying me?

I just hope to have a wedding

just like ordinary couples,

Is it about the leakage of pure evil?

Pure evil is ravaging the mortal world.

Although it was caused by Houchi seizing Ghost Suppressing Tower,
