[I Will Never Let You Go]

24

[Episode 42]

25

I just want to know

26

if this is just an act of Chen Yu.

27

You're insane!

28

You're very worried about him?

29

I like him. Of course, I worry about him.

30

Too bad, he's made a huge mistake.

31

His Majesty will never let him out.

32

He has all that His Majesty wants.

33

If he hands them in, he's a dead man.

34

But if he doesn't,

35

he'll be kept in the prison

36

until he does.

37

Today, they cut off one of his fingers.

38

Tomorrow, they'll peel off a piece of his skin.

39

The day after, they'll gouge his eye out.

40

There're so many ways to torture people in the prison.

41

They surely will use them on him one by one.

42

If Chen Yu is only acting,

43

then he would possibly be released.

44

But if what he did is true,

45

he'll never see the world again.

46

Zhu brat, stop hoping.

47

Just stay with me from now on.

48

My Lady has been anxious and scared for days.

49

If you keep talking nonsense like that, don't blame me for being discourteous.

50

I'm telling the truth.

51

Zhu brat, I'm done talking.

52

You think about it.

53

My Lady, please don't mind Dongfang Shi's word. The commandery prince will be fine.

54

Dongfang Shi knows more than I thought he did.

55

He even knows that Chen Yu has things that his majesty wants.

56

We underestimated him.

57

Xiao Xia, I'm worried sick about Chen Yu.

58

Let's ask around near the prison tomorrow.

59

Yes.

60

Hei Feng said that you've found Hua Buqi,

61

and got some news on Chen Yu.

62

How did it go?

63

Master, you also know that Zhu brat was once a beggar.

64

She's great at playing a double game when she talks to different people.

65

Even I got fooled several times.

66

Although this time she acted as if Chen Yu had really been caught,

67

I still can't be sure.

68

Baisha Cell is tightly guarded.

69

Our people couldn't find out anything about what's going on inside.

70

If Chen Yu had really escaped,

71

he would surely take the holy object and the Saintess with him.

72

Do this. Keep monitoring Hua Buqi and try to draw him out.

73

My Lady, stop being too concerned.

74

Finally, some free time to have a drink.

75

We've been so stressed lately.

76

You tell me!

77

Waiter! A kilo of Nv Er Hong,

78

and two side dishes.

79

Coming!

80

Keeping that deity in our place

81

is making even the Magistrate anxious. What if something goes wrong?

82

I've heard that not long ago, that one contributed a lot

83

in killing those bandits.

84

Who knows what exactly happens in the palace?

85

Come.

86

How come you two are still in a leisure mood to drink wine here?

87

The boss is asking for you. Hurry up.

88

Can't we even relax a bit?

89

Come on.

90

Hurry up!

91

My Lady, what do we do now?

92

I want to go to Xiaojin Ku and find Dongfang Shi.

93

He would love to see the commandery prince die in prison. How could he help us?

94

I'm not asking for his help.

95

I just want to confirm something with him.

96

Do you remember what he said yesterday?

97

He said that Chen Yu has things that his majesty wants.

98

If he hands them in, he's a dead man.

99

If he doesn't,

100

his majesty will keep him locked up and force him to slowly give them up.

101

I've thought about it the whole night.

102

How did Dongfang Shi knew about those things?

103

What he said is indeed strange.

104

The commandery prince is accused of treason.

105

But this case is so important

106

that even the local government hasn't released any more details.

107

So how did he know so much?

108

And we still don't know who this Dongfang Shi really is.

109

That badge of Prince of Cheng...

110

He claims that Prince of Cheng granted it to the House of Dongfang as gift of gratitude.

111

But I always feel suspicious about that.

112

What if he's a descendant of Prince of Cheng?

113

Since ancient times, the royal family has been ruthless over the throne.

114

If he's really related to the royal family,

115

then what his majesty wants, he must want it too.

116

My Lady, in that case,

117

won't we be able to borrow his hand in rescuing commandery prince?

118

Xiao Xia, that's Bai Jianfei.

119

From what the two guards just said,

120

I think they're about to escort Chen You back to the capital soon.

121

Follow Bai Jianfei and see what you can get.

122

We have to be prepared.

123

My Lady, but you'll be left alone.

124

Chen Yu's matter is more important.

125

I'll go back to the store after I talk to Dongfang Shi.

126

You come back once you're done.

127

Yes.

128

Villa Master.

129

Let's go to Xiaojin Ku.

130

You follow the special envoy and I'll follow Hua Buqi.

131

Now, I've gotten a better idea to deal with her.

132

Yes.

133

What...

134

Young Master, you're here alone again.

135

I'm sure that something is troubling you again.

136

Madam Yu, no need to worry.

137

I'm always a free spirited and unbridled.

138

Nothing can trouble me really.

139

I've watched you grow.

140

When you're not happy,

141

you'll come here and sit alone.

142

If you're willing to vent it out to feel better,

143

I'm willing to help solve your worries.

144

Last night, I dressed up as the Lotus Robe Knight to see Zhu brat,

145

only to find out that she only cared about Chen Yu.

146

I deliberately left some suspicious words.

147

If she comes for Chen Yu,

148

I'll be very upset.

149

But if she doesn't,

150

I'll miss her a lot.

151

Madam Yu, do you think she'll come?

152

You've grown up. You never knew about missing someone before.

153

Just as you get to know this feeling, you're already missing someone.

154

But there's one thing I don't understand. For a man as handsome and talented as yourself,

155

in this world of countless beauties,

156

why did you only fall for her?

157

When it comes to love,

158

who can tell?

159

Young Lord, someone from the House of Zhu wants to see you.

160

House of Zhu? Tell him to come here.

161

Yes.

162

I have a suggestion for you.

163

There're plenty more flowers in the forest. Why must you torment yourself?

164

I'll take my leave now.

165

Young Master!

166

Mr. Dongfang, has my Lady come and talked with you?

167

Did she come?

168

When we parted ways, she said she was coming to Xiaojin Ku. Hasn't she shown up?

169

No.

170

Hei Feng, who did Grandfather send to watch over Zhu brat? Why is there no news at all?

171

- Go ask.

- Yes.

172

Liu Qingwu?

173

Why are you everywhere?

174

Even the Dongping prison couldn't keep you—

175

I said that I didn't do that!

176

You wronged me!

177

And now, even Changqing doesn't trust me.

178

Today, I will make you

179

so painful that you would wish that you are dead.

180

What do you want?!

181

Do you know where this place is?

182

A brothel?

183

Clever!

184

This is the darkest, cheapest brothel in Xichu.

185

Two taels and soldiers get to spend a night with you.

186

You're the granddaughter of the House of Zhu from the south.

187

If you get touched by them,

188

I believe these soldiers stationed in the frontier will not feel tired anymore.

189

Look at this tender skin, so well nurtured for over half a year.

190

Even I can't bear to part with it.

191

You're nuts!

192

Help! Help me!

193

This is the backyard of Qunfang Brothel,

194

where no one stays. Shout all you want.

195

Without any martial arts skills, do you think you can run away from me?

196

I wonder,

197

if you're touched by

198

numerous filthy and smelly soldiers,

199

will he still like you?

200

I'm wrong.

201

Let me go, okay?

202

I'm begging you. Please let me go.

203

Now, you're playing weak? No use.

204

Move aside! Move aside!

205

Move!

206

Watch out!

207

Watch it!

208

Sorry!

209

Move away! Quickly!

210

Move away!

211

Mom!

212

Thank you, kind mister.

213

Do you know how to get to the Zhu's silk store?

214

Can you take me there? I'll pay.

215

Zhu brat!

216

What happened?

217

Are you unwell? Why are you so pale?

218

Are you feeling sick? Let's go back home.

219

Where did you go? Xiao Xia couldn't find you and I was worried sick!

220

I killed someone.

221

I killed Liu Qingwu.

222

I killed her.

223

In the alley at the back door of Qunfang Brothel.

224

Don't worry. You're unwell. Let me take you home.

225

- Hei Feng. Go and check that alley.

- Yes.

226

What on earth were you thinking?

227

How could you let Lady go to Xiaojin Ku by herself?!

228

What is that place?

229

That's Dongfang Shi's territory!

230

If something bad happens to Lady,

231

I won't spare you, let alone the old Master!

232

Enough!

233

What's done is done. There's no use scolding Xiao Xia.

234

What's important is to find Lady right now!

235

Manager, go and tell the other stores,

236

that everyone must be mobilized to find her! Door by door, house by house!

237

Yes, I'll do it right away.

238

How come Commandery Prince of Dongping disappeared? What were you doing?

239

You couldn't even watch over one person!

240

The commandery prince said that he's going to meet General Guan.

241

He said they needed to discuss major issues and we shouldn't follow.

242

He said that the people you sent

243

haven't been checked yet, so a mole might have infiltrated among us.

244

He said he was going to see General Guan and you believed it?

245

The commandery prince did enter the General Manor,

246

but we never saw him come out. Then we asked the servants,

247

and they said that he had long gone.

248

He must've left to meet Hua Buqi.

249

Tell those watching over Hua Buqi to keep a close eye.

250

If both of them went missing,

251

I'll report to his majesty to take your lives!

252

Yes, we'll do it right away.

253

Lord! Lord!

254

She shot and hurt the villa master of Mingyue Villa?

255

- Did you bring her back?

- Yes, I did.

256

- Go and have a look.

- Yes.

257

Move!

258

You've met my Lady?

259

Where is she now?

260

What...what's that place?

261

Rolling the dice...

262

Casino...

263

Xiaojin Ku?!

264

Manager, treat this kind fellow nicely. We'll head to Xiaojin Ku.

265

Let's go.

266

Who are you?

267

My name is Bai Jianfei. I was entrusted by his majesty

268

to investigate the case of treason by Commandery Prince of Dongping.

269

Liu Qingwu...

270

When I was in the capital, I heard that you and Chen Yu had some ambiguous relationship.

271

If he plotted treason, you surely are a part of it.

272

So you better honestly tell me every detail of his crime of treason here

273

in Dongping Commandery, I might be able to give you a lenient punishment.

274

Your emperor sent Zhangqing here to investigate Liu Mingyue.

275

Now, he accuses him of treason?! Ridiculous.

276

Chen Yu put you in the Dongping prison, don't you hate him?

277

That's right.

278

I hate him, but I'll never hurt him.

279

I escaped from the Dongping prison,

280

so that I could come here to save him.

281

Zhangqing's so lucky

282

to gain affections from a talented woman like Miss Liu.

283

Yet he doesn't know how to cherish it.

284

In his eyes, there's only Hua Buqi.

285

Seeing how you sincerely love Zhangqing,

286

I'll tell you the truth.

287

Zhangqing didn't plot treason.

288

He pretended to be captured by his majesty.

289

Are those words true?

290

Of course.

291

It's just Chen Yu told this to Hua Buqi,

292

but not you. And you even broke out from prison through so much hardship.

293

Yet once and once again,

294

he put you in danger. How not right for Zhangqing to do so!

295

Impossible. You're lying.

296

You want me to misunderstood Zhangqing,

297

so that I'll say things that's harmful to him.

298

If you don't believe me, I can take you to the Baisha Cell where he's being held,

299

and you'll see for yourself.

300

Zhangqing!

301

See? Zhangqing's not here.

302

Anyone who's locked up in the iron cart, before they're sent to the capital,

303

must always stay inside the cart.

304

But he's not here. Miss Liu, do you now believe me?

305

I want to see Zhangqing!

306

He has now happily left Xichu Province with Hua Buqi.

307

I don't believe it.

308

Every word you say, I don't believe any of it!

309

Up to you. You hurt the prison guard,

310

and broke out from the Dongping prison, which is a capital crime.

311

The reason why I've said so much to you here is because I think you're a clever person.

312

But I never thought you would be stubborn like this.

313

You'll face your beheading in two days then!

314

Official.

315

I was blinded by affections just now.

316

I offended you. I ask for your forgiveness.

317

What you did was a capital crime. You want me to spare you on "ask for forgiveness"?

318

Official Bai is a special envoy who can meet with his majesty, right?

319

Of course.

320

I'd like to meet with his majesty.

321

Miss Liu must be delusive now.

322

I know who's the Saintess of Biluotian.

323

If this information reach his majesty,

324

I believe Official Bai will be awarded too.

325

Biluotian Saintess?

326

Who is it?

327

I'd like to tell this to his majesty by myself.

328

If I let Official Bai take all the credit,

329

then what's left for me?

330

If anything you said is unreal, you'll lose your life.

331

Compared to life, I value power more.

332

I can take you to see his majesty. But if you talk nonsense, I won't be pardoned as well.

333

I have to know who this person is, and whether she's the real Biluotian Saintess first.

334

Or else, I won't agree to anything.

335

Official Bai, I'm not going to the capital to die.

336

Rest assure. What's more,

337

after I'm done, Official Bai

338

would also get the credit of recommendation, don't you?

339

Alright, then. I will recommend Miss Liu.

340

As far as I see, Miss Liu's beauty can compete with the concubines in the palace.

341

If one day you get the royal favor,

342

I hope Miss Liu speaks good of me in front of his majesty.

343

What's this place? Why am I here?

344

Here? It's Xiaojin Ku's inn. You're safe here.

345

Zhu brat, what happened between you and Liu Qingwu?

346

She tried to sell me to the brothel.

347

She wanted to ruin me.

348

- She...

- There's such a thing?!

349

Rest assure. I've sent Hei Feng to check on her.

350

If you really killed her, that's nice. That means she can't bully you anymore.

351

You passed out because of fright and lack of sleep.

352

I've cooked the medicine for you. Drink it.

353

I'm fine. I want to go back to the store.

354

Xiao Xia said you wanted to meet me at Xiaojin Ku.

355

Now you see me, why the hurry?

356

I just wanted to ask you this, what did Chen Yu have

357

that his majesty must capture him under the pretext of treason? And how did you know about it?

358

Well, I can tell you.

359

Chen Yu has the holy object of Biluotian. It's said that it can lead you to the treasure of Biluotian.

360

And the one who gets the treasure of Biluotian can run the world.

361

So how can the emperor let him be?

362

Biluotian?

363

That's right. Biluotian that's desired by everyone in this world.

364

How did you know all this?

365

That's a secret. That's all I can tell you.

366

Zhu brat, I'll give you one more chance.

367

If you agree to marry me, I'll save Chen Yu for you.

368

I won't beg you. Even if my family would have to go bankrupt, I'll pay you back.

369

When there's nothing for me to care about, I'll die with him.

370

You love Chen Yu so much that you wouldn't mind disbanding the House of Zhu?

371

Let go!

372

What if I don't let you go today?

373

If I can't leave today, I'll leave tomorrow. You can't keep me here forever!

374

- Let me see my Lady!

- Without my Lord's permission, no one shall pass.

375

- You...

- Move it! Don't make me fight a girl!

376

Hei Feng, let them in!

377

My Lady.

378

What on earth did you do to my Lady?

379

He didn't. I was frightened and passed out.

380

In here?

381

Let's go back.

382

Zhu brat, Chen Yu's matter is not yours to control!

383

Stop being concerned. Rest well.

384

Is Liu Qingwu dead?

385

There's blood in the carriage but I didn't see her. I followed the blood,

386

but the trail disappeared at the end of the alley. Someone must've taken her.

387

Go find her and you must take her back to me,

388

- alive or dead.

- Yes.

389

Keep an eye on the local government office. Pay attention to anything about Chen Yu.

390

My Lady, you're finally back. Close the door. Let's talk inside.

391

- I'm sorry. I had you worried.

- As long as you're fine, everything's okay.

392

By the way, Xiao Xia said that the kind man is still here.

393

Where is he? I'd like to say thank you.

394

My Lady, he's in the back courtyard resting. I'll bring him in.

395

Lady, I've checked on that Western Hu person.

396

He's homeless and can't talk. His name is Bai Ma.

397

He's kind of strong, and earns a little by helping merchants unload goods.

398

He's a mixture of Western Hu and Han people, and has been living here since he was little,

399

so he's quite familiar with the Gobi Desert.

400

We're transporting goods back to the south. If he's good with routes, we can keep him.

401

He came to the store when he didn't catch up with Dongfang Shi. That shows his integrity.

402

If you give your permission, we would keep him.

403

Lady, I brought the person.

404

Bai Ma, we're transporting High Mountain Great Leaf tea to Suzhou.

405

Although the bandit Bearded Ma has been annihilated, who knows if there are other ones?

406

Since you're familiar with the geography and weather of Gobi, would you like to stay and help out?

407

Manager, take Bai Ma to the back courtyard to have a rest.

408

- When we set off for Suzhou, he'll come with us.

- Yes.

409

- You're here.

- Miss Zhu indeed isn't like those common rich ladies.

410

At this dark night, with a stranger coming in,

411

you can still keep calm like this. I admire you.

412

So you do speak? Aren't you a mute?

413

Don't you fear that I'm a bad person and I'm here to kill you?

414

You're still pretending? Chen Yu, don't assume I'll forgive you because I cooperated with your act. Take it off!

415

Who would think my lady not only has big bright eyes but also such great eyesight?

416

I only changed my clothes this afternoon, and you recognized me just like that?

417

And you deliberately had Xiao Xia leave so that I could come in.

418

Of course, I knew it was you!

419

You dared to keep it from me. Do you know I almost freaked out?!

420

Buqi, I'm sorry.

421

I know I was wrong. By the way, Buqi,

422

if I really look like this, will you ditch me?

423

If you do look like this, I won't even take you.

424

I don't need a vulgar rough man to be my husband.

425

I don't believe you. Back then, you also didn't know what the Lotus Robe Knight look like,

426

yet you fell for him anyway.

427

That was different!

428

Because he can shot ten arrows at once?

429

Stop it! By the way, why did you dress up as Bai Ma?

430

I got rid of Jianfei and his people because I wanted to see you.

431

Then, I saw the horse panicking in the street, so I wanted to save you.

432

But this guy Bai Ma beat me to it.

433

A man who tried to hide his martial arts, but pretended to be simple and honest

434

looked suspicious to me.

435

So you had doubts about him back then?

436

Another reason is when Dongfang Shi was taking you away, he nodded to Bai Ma.

437

That was when I was sure he works for Dongfang Shi.

438

And then I caught him, and he told me everything.

439

Chen Yu, I once stole from Dongfang Shi

440

a badge of Prince of Cheng.

441

Prince of Cheng?

442

And he told me that you took items concerning Biluotian and is plotting treason.

443

It reminded me that you once said, Fu gave you two things,

444

and even his majesty would want them.

445

I didn't think he also knows that I have the Biluotian items.

446

It seems that he's related to those who killed my teacher.

447

I just didn't think they were all of the same team, and even connected with Prince of Cheng.

448

In the past, Prince of Cheng and the past emperor fought for the throne. When the past emperor ascended the throne,

449

Prince of Cheng was casted out to a barbarian place, and passed away not long after.

450

Rumor has it that he had a descendant.

451

But of course, it's possible that someone else just want to rebel in his name.

452

Why do people rise in rebellion when they're living comfortably?

453

Buqi, I wasn't supposed to see you so soon.

454

But we can't do it now. It's too dangerous here. We must leave.

455

No, it's not. Mingyue Villa has been destroyed and Liu Qingwu is dead.

456

- I'm not in any danger now.

- Your biggest threat is not Liu Qingwu,

457

but Dongfang Shi and what's behind him.

458

He wants to marry you not for some simple reason.

459

I had doubts about that too. When my mother was still unborn,

460

Dongfang Shi's maternal grandfather signed an agreement with Zhu's Great Grand Master,

461

saying that he would marry the daughter of Master Zhu Ba and his legal wife.

462

He spent ten million taels to marry an unborn woman.

463

- That was not a good deal at all.

- Of course, it was.

464

Your mother was the Saintess of Biluotian. She was worth far more than ten million.

465

What Saintess?

466

Buqi, you should've heard about this legend.

467

"This dynasty will end on the fifth emperor. The one who obtains the treasure of Biluotian will run the world."

468

The Saintess is a one-track blood line. Your maternal grandmother was a Saintess.

469

Your mother was a Saintess. So, you are one, too.

470

They only want to use you to get the treasure of Biluotian, and finally get the world.

471

Me? I'm the Saintess of Biluotian?

472

- Buqi...

- Wait. Wait.

473

I'm kind of...

474

Please let me think...

475

My mind's kind of in a mess.

476

Chen Yu, how did you know about this?

477

Whey my father died, he told me about the secret of Biluotian.

478

Actually, the reason why he looked for you all these years

479

was for the treasure of Biluotian, too.

480

So the Seventh Prince did have thoughts of overthrowing the throne?

481

Then did he tell you all this because he wanted you to continue his unfinished job?

482

Wars only lead to homelessness, starvation, and destitution.

483

I don't have such a big ambition to start a rebellion.

484

Since you don't want to start a rebellion, and I'm a true Saintess of Biluotian who can get the treasure,

485

why don't we just get it and dedicate it to his majesty?

486

What? Can't we?

487

Buqi,

488

actually, the rumor circulating outside wasn't complete. "Then, activate the holy item and sacrifice the Saintess.

489

The treasure will then be gained."

490

"Sacrifice the Saintess"?

491

That's to say, no matter who wants the treasure and the world,

492

I'll have to die.

493

No, you won't. I won't let you die.

494

His majesty still doesn't know you're the Saintess. I'll take you away right now.

495

Hold on. If I'm gone like this, what happens to the House of Zhu?

496

Don't worry. The Grand Master will go to the safe house I planned for him under escort.

497

If his majesty wants peace in the south, he won't touch your family again. Besides, my plan this time

498

is to draw out my teacher's real murderer.

499

That's to say, you're going to catch them all,

500

so that no one knows I'm the Saintess.

501

That's right. There will only be a few who knows who you are.

502

As long as I get their leader, no one will know your the Saintess.

503

But this matter on Biluotian is crucial.

504

The man who killed my teacher will certainly come to hijack the prison cart.

505

I can then suppress the rebels as well as wipe out those who knows your identity.

506

This is the best idea I can think of.

507

- Then the more I can't come with you now.

- Why not?

508

Think about it. You pretended to have been captured and kept it from me,

509

all because you wanted this plan to seem authentic. If I disappear now, they'll get suspicious.

510

I say we play this to the end. When all is over, we can find a place to live in seclusion.

511

No, it's too dangerous. They'll come and get you.

512

But they've never come.

513

They haven't come because they haven't obtained the treasure or the map.

514

Very soon, they'll know I have the treasure and the map.

515

- And you and I are so intimate that I...

- It's all their guesses.

516

I bet they won't be able to confirm if you're really locked up until the last step of hijacking the cart.

517

Buqi, I don't want to bet.

518

Chen Yu, we've come to this stage. I don't want your painstaking plan

519

to have a loop hole because of me.

520

What's more, you're dressed up as Bai Ma here,

521

which will make Dongfang Shi think that I'm still under his control. He won't doubt me.

522

No, I have to take you away right now.

523

Buqi!

524

Chen Yu, I'm not leaving with you.

525

Let me help you finish this show.

526

I look forward to living in a carefree life with you in peace.

527

Xiao Xia got the information yesterday.

528

Bai Jianfei borrowed a cavalry from General Guan.

529

They'll set off for the capital in three days.

530

Their escort team includes the cavalry, the iron guards from the palace, and perhaps some cover troops.

531

I've read the map. There're many valleys on the way from Xichu to the capital.

532

Zhu Fu, we leave in three days too, and follow the prison cart from afar.

533

We'll load our carriages with High Mountain Great Leaf tea as a disguise.

534

Zhu Shou, write a letter home now.

535

Dispatch all our guards to the Qiyun (uniform clouds) Mountain.

536

My Lady, we can't do this.

537

- We really can't, My Lady.

- Why?

538

You...you're hijacking a prison cart!

539

- It's a major crime that incriminates the nine clans! By no means can you do it!

- Who says I'm pulling a hijack?

540

Then, why will you dispatch all our guards to Qiyun Mountain?

541

Dongfang Shi told me that Chen Yu got captured because he had what his majesty wanted.

542

He has been testing me to see if Chen Yu was really locked up.

543

So I'm thinking that Dongfang Shi, too, wants what Chen Yu has.

544

That's why I'm playing my part to trick him into believing that I'm going to break Chen Yu out.

545

I'll write the letter now.
