Original subtitles

Brother Wuji.

It's really you!

Are you all right?

I hurt my leg when I fell.

Let's sit down over there. Come.

Thank goodness it's just a sprain.

No fractures.

What about your leg injury?

Were you faking it all along?

No, I wasn't faking it.

My legs just recovered.

Your shifu might suspect something.

That's why I hid it from her.

I didn't mean to lie to you.

Brother Wuji, did you cure your toxic chill?

I learned a skill

that helped me expel the toxic chill and saved my life.

That's wonderful.

What about you?

I thought my grand shifu took you back to Wudang.

How did you end up with Emei Sect?

Patriarch Zhang's disciples are all male.

It'd be awkward for me to stay.

So, he entrusted me to my shifu.

Zhiruo, thank you.

You had compassion for me and convinced your shifu to spare my life.

Otherwise I would have died before I had a chance to reunite with you.

I never want any innocent people to be killed.

Brother Wuji, how did you end up with that wicked girl?

She's not that bad. She looks out for me.

She's just a hothead and true to her feelings.

You must've been through a lot over the past few years.

The world is a dangerous place.

But I made it through the toughest times.

I'm no longer that weak little boy.

No one can bully me now.

It's getting late. We'd better hurry.

Shijie Jingxuan is waiting for the antidote.

Let's go.

Your leg...

It's my fault.

I should've been more careful.

Don't worry, I can carry you.

My lightness skill is good enough. We can still make it back.

But...

Nothing is more important than saving lives.

I hope you don't mind.

Brother Wuji, we're almost there.

You can put me down.

But...

My shifu doesn't know you have recovered.

I don't want her to suspect anything.

You should put me down.

All right, be careful.

Sure.

Are you all right?

I'm fine.

Don't worry.

By the way, there's one thing I need to tell you.

After we treat your shijie,

I'll find a chance to escape with Zhu'er.

We don't want to go to Bright Peak and get involved in the fight,

especially against your shifu.

Zhiruo, why don't we...

There will be a massacre at Bright Peak.

We shouldn't have dragged you into this.

There's no reason for you to join us.

Be careful when you try to escape.

If my shifu finds out you have recovered,

she won't let you off lightly.

I don't want to see you get hurt

or even get killed by my shifu.

I know.

Thank you, Zhiruo.

I'll give it a go. I can't just do nothing.

I'm just worried I'll get you in trouble.

I can't imagine what will happen if your shifu finds out.

Shifu, they've been gone for a while now.

I wonder if something happened.

Shifu, the marks have darkened.

It doesn't look good.

That fellow is full of nonsense.

What if he takes advantage of Zhiruo?

Hey! Watch your mouth!

Witch!

If anything happens to my shimei,

I'll cut your tongue and arms off!

Do it!

Shifu!

It's Zhiruo...

Be careful.

Sorry, Shifu.

I sprained my ankle and caused a delay.

You must be worried sick.

Thank goodness you're back. Is it serious?

No.

The antidote.

Please cook this for her.

It can remove the poison from her body.

Shifu, I'll do it now.

Hurry up.

So, they're back with the herb.

Looks like someone owes me an apology.

Zhu'er.

Young woman, thank you for saving my disciple.

Please accept my apologies.

Well, that's what I call greatness of mind.

Fine. I forgive your useless disciple.

Hey.

They're asleep. Let's go, shall we?

Come on.

It's because of Miss Zhou, isn't it?

Forget it. I'm leaving.

I'm coming with you.

Go that way.

Hurry up.

That way.

Was that a ghost?

What are you talking about?

What are you two doing?

Are you trying to escape?

Who is it?

Show yourself!

Don't hide in the shadow or play tricks!

Have you no decency?

Shifu, could it be the malign cult?

They're trying to deceive us and shake our morale.

Don't fall for their tricks.

We must stay alert and keep a watchful eye tonight.

Yes, Shifu...

Hurry up.

Yes, Shijie...

- What's wrong? - What happened?

There's a bat on her face!

Let me see.

Shijie!

Bat?

Why is there a bat on my face?

Stop shouting. Where are your manners?

Who did this?

I want the truth!

Who could it be?

Shifu, I wonder if the bat was drawn by those prowlers last night.

Shifu, this person infiltrated us and pulled a prank without leaving a trace.

He could have killed us.

What should we do...

Don't panic. Stay calm.

The malign cult is playing dirty to scare you.

You must remain resolute and unaffected.

Hurry up and get ready for our journey.

Yes, Shifu...

Go wash your face.

Yes, Shijie.

Let's go.

Did you see that?

That old hag thinks so highly of herself.

It was fun watching that Ming Cult genius scare the crap out of them.

We don't know what will happen next.

Follow closely. Hurry up.

The malign cult members may appear anytime.

Please follow closely.

Miss Zhou really cares about you. You must be very happy.

What are you talking about?

That Ming Cult disciple was so mysterious.

I wonder who that was.

How would I know?

Let's stick around just a little longer.

I can't wait to see what that genius will do to them.

Sure.

You're worried about Miss Zhou, aren't you?

I'm too scared to sleep...

Shifu...

Don't worry, as long as we stay alert,

those villains won't come near us. Look.

It'll be another long day tomorrow. Get some rest.

Yes, Shifu...

Get some rest.

- Stay alert. - Yes...

Listen.

Falsehood is mingled with truth, and vice versa.

It was only a bluff.

Do not panic.

Take turns standing guard and get some sleep while you can.

Yes, Shifu...

Yes, Shifu.

Go.

Shijie, get some rest. I'll stand guard.

Thank you...

Hurry up.

We're leaving soon. A'niu.

- Hurry up... - Yes, Shijie...

Hurry up and get ready.

Shijie, time to wake up.

A'niu, wake up.

Hurry up!

Yes, Shijie...

Who is it?

What's that...

You didn't come here to hide, did you?

Enough of your evil tricks! Prepare to die!

Shijie...

Shijie... Shifu...

Shifu!

Shifu...

Shifu, are you all right?

Shijie Jingxu...

That monster kidnapped Jingxu right in front of my eyes.

If anything happens to her,

I swear on my life I will destroy Bright Peak!

Why did he kidnap Shijie Jingxu?

What should we do now?

What will happen to her?

Those two outsiders must have colluded with the malign cult to kidnap Jingxu!

We were here all night.

We didn't do anything. You can't accuse us wrongly.

Shijie...

Jingxu!

Shijie!

Jingxu!

Shijie...

Jingxu!

Shijie...

It's all my fault!

Shijie...

Shifu, who's that monster?

We must kill him to avenge Jingxu.

That's Blue Winged Bat King, one of the Four Guardian Kings.

His lightness skill is peerless.

I'm no match for him.

He ran away because he was afraid of you!

Shame on him!

I couldn't catch up with him and save Jingxu.

Emei lost the battle today. I admit defeat.

You're right, Shifu.

Shifu, where does that Bat King come from?

Since the disappearance of Yang Dingtian,

the 33rd leader of Ming Cult,

the leadership position has been vacant.

The Bright Left and Right Messengers, Four Guardian Kings,

Five Wanderers, and Five Element Banners

have their eyes on it.

Bat King disappeared some time ago.

That's why you've never heard of him.

But you should be familiar with White Browed Eagle King and Lion King.

Among the Four Guardian Kings,

Bat King has the least seniority.

Today you all saw what he's capable of.

Lion King lost his sanity.

he went on a rampage and killed many innocent people.

Later on, he suddenly disappeared

and left behind a mystery.

Yin Tianzheng was desperate to be a cult leader.

He founded the Heavenly Eagle Cult

and left Bright Peak on bad terms.

Now Bright Peak is under attack.

I wonder if he will lend a hand.

If all Four Guardian Kings show up,

it will be a tough battle.

Buhui.

I'll go take a look!

- Saikeli. - Yes.

Don't be scared, I won't hurt you.

Who did this to you?

My dad and I can help you.

Tell me what happened.

Dad.

Young lady, who are these people?

They are my parents.

If you don't mind,

could you tell me how they died?

We're from the mainland.

My parents offended the local authorities.

They were brutally tortured for almost a week

and then banished to Xiyu.

A few days ago,

we couldn't take the bullying anymore and decided to escape.

But we were lost in the desert.

Both my parents died.

Do you have any relatives in the mainland?

Dad, this poor girl is all alone.

Can she stay with us?

Have you forgotten we have something important to do?

Dad, look at her.

We can't leave her behind.

What if someone tries to hurt her?

Dad, let her stay with us. Please.

You silly.

Do you want to stay with us?

Sure.

Shifu.

Innate talent determines how strong you are.

You can't force it.

I've had two highly gifted disciples.

One of them is you,

and the other one is dead.

Shifu, are you talking about Shijie Ji?

That's right.

My biggest regret in life is that

Emei is not as reputable as Wudang and Shaolin.

I put my faith in Xiaofu,

but she was misled by some villain

and even lost her life.

I know you think I'm harsh on you and even cruel to you.

That's because I have high expectations.

I even hope you can prevail me

and bring glory to Emei.

Shifu, I'm still honing my skills.

I have a lot to learn from you.

In terms of personality and talent, you and Xiaofu are very much alike.

You both have a kind heart

and show mercy towards evil.

Shijie Ji got involved with an evil man and lost her life.

It taught me a lesson.

I'll always remember what you said and remind myself of past mistakes.

I will keep you safe along the way,

but once we arrive at Bright Peak,

there will be a fierce battle.

Many of the malign cult members are highly skilled.

If you go soft on them, it will cost you your life,

and even the future of Emei Sect.

You must remember what I said.

Destroy all evil. Don't go soft on them.

Yes.

A'niu,

if I can learn Bat King's lightness skill,

then I'll have no regrets in life.

What's good about his evil skills?

Bat King sucks human blood. He's a demon.

Evil?

Bat King beat that Emei disciple with his exceptional skills.

If it weren't for his lightness skill,

that hag would have caught and killed him.

She doesn't suck blood,

but it's not like she's never killed anyone.

The so-called orthodox sect and malign cult are same difference.

Fight...

Shifu.

Wudang is a reputable sect.

It would be disrespectful to offer help.

Qingshu!

Let's go.

Greetings, Abbess.

Master Yin.

Zhiruo.

Shishu Liting?

My shixiong and other fellow disciples have arrived in Yixian Valley.

He sent me here to greet you.

Wudang has arrived as expected.

Did you get a chance to fight the villains?

We fought three rounds against the Fire and Wood Banners

and killed a few villains.

My shidi Shenggu had a mild injury.

What do we know about the situation at Bright Peak?

Heavenly Eagle Cult and the others have sent backup forces to Bright Peak.

Bat King is there, too.

Have you got a chance to fight Bat King?

I wouldn't call it a fight.

Bat King killed an Emei disciple and ran away.

- That hag... - Shut up.

Couldn't even catch up with him.

And you are?

Are you Master Yin of Wudang?

Yes. May I know your name?

It doesn't matter who I am.

They're holding me captive.

Do you belong to the malign cult?

No, I hate those people.

She killed Zhu Changling's daughter.

I caught her red-handed.

Did Master Zhang's son, Zhang Wuji, come along with you?

Why? Is he your friend or enemy?

We met in Physician Hu Qingniu's house in Butterfly Valley many years ago.

I asked him to come with me to Divine Snake Island, but...

but he didn't want to.

Divine Snake Island?

How are you related to Golden Flower Granny?

I guess she's her shifu.

Thank you for your concern, but Wuji was an unfortunate child.

My shifu once sent me to Butterfly Valley.

Hu Qingniu and his wife were killed.

Wuji went missing.

He was suffering from an incurable illness.

I'm afraid he died a long time ago.

I...

It's a good thing that demon died

considering the harm he could have done.

Say it again, you old hag!

Mind your language!

Zhang Cuishan is Master Yin's shixiong.

Does that make him a villain?

Zhang Cuishan belonged to an orthodox sect,

but that woman was an evil cult member.

Her son must be a demon.

Her mother was an evil cult member? How's that possible?

Zhang Cuishan's wife is Yin Susu,

daughter of Yin Tianzheng, the chief of Heavenly Eagle Cult.

What?

Zhang Cuishan married that evil woman and brought shame upon himself.

He ended his own life at Mount Wudang.

The whole world knows.

Yin Susu was a shameless slut.

She deserved to die for bewildering Master Zhang.

What did you say?

Let me go! What are you doing? Let me go...

Shut up!

Where's everybody?

Wei Yixiao,

I'm asking you where the Five Banners and Five Wanderers are.

Are you talking to me?

Call me Bat King, and don't give me attitude.

You're not the chief.

Give us a moment.

Our highest priority is to protect our headquarters.

The Five Banners must return immediately or else it'll be too late.

If anything happens to the Ming Cult,

you and I are both sinners!

That's flattering.

Why would I have that kind of power?

You, on the other hand,

are above all people except for one.

Wait. I forgot we no longer have a leader.

Whatever you say goes.

The Ming Cult is in trouble.

I thought we'd join hands to fight our enemies.

Why are you so against me?

Looks like I misunderstood you.

I didn't know you were so great.

Sorry about that.

Are you giving me attitude?

You want to sort things out?

Why not?

The Ming Cult is at stake.

I don't want to argue with you today.

Just stop giving me such a hard time, will you?

I don't want to listen to you.

What can you do?

The Ming Cult is falling apart.

We can't even handle a few opposing sects.

We're in a crisis because of you!

Sorry, Chief.

What were you looking for?

Nothing. I was just walking around.

Really?

Sorry, I won't wander off again.

Wait.

Who sent you here?

No, it's not what you think.

Not bad.

Dad!

Miss Buhui.

Come over here.

She's probably a spy sent by the six sects.

Come here.

It's not what you think!

Dad, Xiaozhao can't possibly be a spy.

You must look into this matter.

I saw her acting sneakily in your room.

What were you looking for?

Nothing.

Miss Buhui, I'm sorry I snuck into your room,

but only because I was curious.

I come from a poor family.

I've never been to anywhere so splendid before.

I was just walking around.

I won't do it again.

Dad, I told you it was a misunderstanding.

Do you expect me to believe that?

Young Master Song.

Do you see the way Young Master Song looks at Miss Zhou?

No.

You're lying.

Young Master Song is quite handsome indeed.

Of course.

He's a disciple of a reputable sect.

I'm no match for him.

Are you jealous?

Don't be ridiculous. Why would I be jealous?

He can't take his eyes off Miss Zhou.

You're definitely jealous.

Be careful what you say.

What?

Look, Miss Zhou is coming.

Here.

Miss Zhou, we're hungry.

This idiot has been waiting for you all night.

Cut it out.

Thank you.

The fire is dying. It's freezing.

Let me help you.

Here.

Thank you.

Still cold?

Much better. Thank you.

Don't worry, I'll warm you up.

Remember you promised me...

you would eat well and be happy every day?

I had a great time with you.

I'll never forget those days.

I'm freezing to death!

Wake up.

Why?

We've had enough fun. It's time to go.

Go?

Where?

Just go.

What?

Zhu'er, we will arrive at Bright Peak soon.

Let's stick around and see what happens.

Have you lost your mind?

That's exactly why we have to go.

Otherwise we're doomed to die even if that old hag doesn't kill us.

I see. You don't want to leave Miss Zhou.

I knew it. All men are unfaithful.

That's not true.

It was your idea to escape.

I...

I just want to meet the Swordsmen of Wudang.

Why?

They have a remarkable reputation.

I'll be honored to meet them.

You'll be dead before you have a chance to meet them.

Do what you want. I'm out of here.

I'm coming with you.

Come on, hurry up.

Stop!

Where are you two going?
