-[thump] -[Movers] A customer!

-[knocking] -[gasp]

-It's just a pirate. -[both] Pirate.

-See those all the time. -[all] A pirate?

Avast, mateys.

-[others] A-what? -Hi?

Might this be the Idea Warehouse?

-[Movers] It... be. -Ah.

Would you like to come in?

Aye. I would.

-Cool. -[creaking]

But looks like me hook is caught in the door.

Uh, we can help with that.

-Definitely. -Come on, guys.

-Dehooking, commence. -Right here.

-Pull. -[all grunting]

Boy, it's really stuck.

All right, all right. Never ye mind. Never ye mind.

-I don't really need it. -What?

I just wear it to make me look more pirate-like.

-Wow! -But I tell you...

that hook has been nothing but trouble ever since I got it.

You know, when I was just a wee child pirate,

I was involved in the most heated game of kickball with me worst enemy,

for all the jelly beans in our pockets.

[Movers exclaim]

Yeah. So it was all tied up at the end of the game.

-There were two outs. -[both] Two.

And I was in the field. And the ball was kicked right at me.

And I went up to catch the ball.

Now, do you know what happened next?

[Movers clamoring]

That hook poked a hole in the ball, and it popped it-- Poof!

-Whoa! -The end.

I lost the game and all me jelly beans over that... that blasted hook.

-Arrr! -Blasted hook.

[both] Jelly beans. That's terrible!

[mumbling]

Is there something we can help you with, Mister--

-Captain. -Ooh.

Captain Kiddo the Twelfth.

I am the great-great-great-great- great-great-great-great-great-grandson

of the world-famous pirate Captain Kiddo the First.

Well, so, Kiddo, what can we do for you?

-Well, the thing is I-- I have a problem. -Ah. That's great.

Oh. What I mean is it's a good thing you came here

because we solve problems.

Oh, I know. I know.

There are tales at sea about four musical men,

each with his own special talent and gadgets.

They say there's one that can actually speak to the animals,

and he holds in his hand a book that can answer any question.

Smitty, Smitty, Smitty, Smitty! Maybe he's talking about you!

[chuckles] You think so, little buddy?

-[Warehouse Mouse] Yeah. -Look at that.

-He can talk to the animals. -[Warehouse Mouse] Yeah.

[chuckles] Oh, yeah.

And I guess that book you're talking about is my journal.

It's got all sorts of great information in it.

-The legend is true. -So what else do they say about us?

There are tales of a long-haired Mover

with very special glasses that allow him to see things

that no one else can see.

The Wobbles. They're right up here. [chuckling]

Ooh. Interesting choice of socks there, Kiddo. [chuckles]

Why-- Oh, shiver me timbers.

There's also a Mover, they say, that has a hat...

that contains all sorts of secrets.

That must be me. I'm Mover Dave.

Pizza?

-Nay, thank you. -All right.

Then there's a Mover, they say,

has a pair of sticks that can color the sky.

-That sounds like you, Rich. -Uh-huh. And my Scribble Sticks.

Let's see.

-[cackles] -So it's all true.

Then you can help me with my problem.

We'd love to. What is it?

Well, I come from a very long, long line of pirates.

-Me father, he was a pirate. -Oh.

Me father's father, he was a pirate.

Me father's father's father was a pirate. Me father's father's father's father--

-Got it. -We get it.

Lots of pirates' fathers-- Got it.

I will tell you something.

I love being a pirate.

I love everything about being a pirate. I love the smell of the salt air.

[sniffing]

And I love the sound of the waves.

-[imitating waves crashing] -[imitating seagull cooing]

I love seeing new far-off places.

But the thing is, well, I guess...

I'm just not that good at being a pirate.

-Not very good at it? -You look like you're great at it.

You, sir, are completely piratey.

It's just like with me hook. It's all for show.

I mean, I have no real pirate skills.

[all gasp]

I can't swim, I couldn't sword fight to save me life,

and, well...

[clears throat] I'm allergic to parrots.

Oh. No. This is... just a toy.

-You see, you kind of just pull that-- -[squawk] Polly want a cracker!

[running down] Polly want a--

And it's broken. Yarr.

Yarr is right.

On me last voyage,

I couldn't figure out a thing to do

to help out on me own ship, The Angry Guppy.

And if I can't figure out some way to help,

I'll be off me own boat.

We just got to figure out a job that I could do aboard the ship

before The Angry Guppy sets sail again.

-So when do you leave? -Tomorrow.

-Tomorrow? -Tomorrow.

Tomorrow tomorrow?

-Tomorrow. -Aye.

That doesn't give us a lot of time.

[exhales] Ye Movers have to help me here

because my problem is as big as a sea monster.

Well, it's not just a problem. It's an...

[Movers] Idea Emergency!

[alarm wailing]

We need to help Captain Kiddo.

-Figure out what he's good at. -So he can be a good pirate.

And that means we need some good ideas.

[all] Let's brainstorm!

Brave and strong people who, I'll tell you,

are no bigger than me thumb.

[gasp] Wow.

You must have one adventure after another on a pirate ship.

It's not all jolly old good times, you know.

I mean, it gets rather lonely,

and, well, to be honest--

boring.

-No. -Boring?

We do have good times as well. I mean--

Yeah. You get to meet new people and hunt for treasure.

-Right. -[both] Yeah.

Hey, wait. Maybe Kiddo could do that.

He could hunt for treasure.

Treasure hunting is an important thing for pirates to do.

That's true.

How about we help you learn to be a treasure hunter?

Aye. Good thinking.

-One treasure chest coming right up. -All right.

-[chuckles] Ta-da! -Shiver me timbers.

-You went that way-- -Lookie, lookie.

All right, let's have a look here at this.

-[both] Wow! -Well, well.

Now we just need to hide the treasure somewhere in the warehouse

where Kiddo can find it.

-Come on, guys, let's go! -[others] Yeah!

[Movers] Hide the treasure!

-Hide the treasure! -[clapping in rhythm]

Whoops.

-Forgot something. -Right.

[chuckles] The treasure.

Ahh! Hide the treasure!

[all] Hide the treasure.

-[chuckles] -[sighs]

-All right. -Whoa!

-The treasure's hidden. -And now you have to find it.

But first my friends and me are gonna give you some clues.

-Aye. -My friends and I...

are gonna give you some clues.

-[grunting] -Okay.

-Rich? -Yeah. I'll draw you a map.

[exhaling] Okay.

Okay. Let's see.

Ten paces to the right, ten paces to the left.

Yo-ho-ho, yada, yada, yada...

-And there we go. -Nice.

All right. One treasure map, sir.

-Well done, mateys, well done. -Thanks.

Ah, let's have a look-see here.

All right, so then you'll have to spin me around, uh--

Yeah. [chuckles] That's upside-down.

-Aha. -Yeah.

That's not a very good start.

So I will, then, kind of maybe follow all these lines between, uh--

The lines show me where to go towards the treasure,

which would probably be, maybe--

That's where the treasure be. That's where I'm off to.

-Okay. Here we go! -[Movers cheering]

-Uh, Cap'n? -Yes, sir.

Right. You're a fine crew, let me tell you.

That was a little pirate test, and you passed.

-[Movers cheering] -Let's go.

That's where the treasure should be, according to the map.

[exclaiming] Whoa, whoa, whoa!

Not there, Kiddo.

What do-- What do you mean?

-That's not where the treasure is. -No.

-It's not? -No, sir.

We are right back where we started.

Did I not read the map well?

-No. -No, not really.

-Let me show you. -Thank you.

What you need to do is follow this line.

-The blue dotted line. -All the way, till you end up...

-Right to, well, here. -Ta-da!

Arr. This is where the treasure's buried,

marked clearly by a big, giant red X.

You know what, lads? I don't think I'm a very good treasure hunter.

Maybe treasure hunting just isn't the right thing

for you to do on board the ship.

Yeah, there's got to be another way you can help out.

-I suppose. -Well, there you go.

You know, all this looking for something

reminds me of the time I was helping me father

track down the great striped squid of Shipwreck Reef.

[Movers exclaiming]

-A great striped what? -Squid.

Oh, you better believe it. It was giant.

-It was bigger than a house. -No.

And we followed that squid through seven oceans.

And me father, he would not quit until he took a picture of it.

And then one day, you know what happened?

[Movers clamoring] No. What happened?

Me father caught the greatest picture of a striped squid ever taken.

[Movers exclaiming]

-[Rich] Wow! He did it. -There you go.

-It's a giant... -Striped...

Squid.

-That's right. -That was the most amazing story, Kiddo.

Yeah. You and your dad wouldn't give up.

-Aye. -And neither should we.

We can find something for Captain Kiddo to do aboard his ship.

-Right, guys? -[murmuring]

We're the Movers. Come on!

[Movers cheering loudly]

-Hey, guys. -[Movers] Nina!

I'm going to the pier to take some pictures

of the real live pirate ship that's docked there.

Do you guys want to come along and check it out?

Well, we would, but...

We've got a real live pirate right here in the Warehouse.

-Wow! -[Kiddo chuckles]

Captain Kiddo the Twelfth at your service.

You can call me Kiddo.

-Nice to meet you, Kiddo. -All right.

Kiddo needs to find a job that he can do on his ship

so he can help the other pirates.

Or he won't be able to sail with them anymore.

So we're trying to help him find something he's good at.

Let's check my journal for ideas.

-Ah! Good thought! -Good idea.

-Of course. The book of many answers. -Love it.

All right. What sort of things do pirates do?

Uh... pirates hunt for buried treasure.

-Tried that. -Didn't turn out very well.

-[Nina] Oh, sorry. -Pirates sail ships. Now there's an idea.

Yeah. We could teach Kiddo how to sail.

Yeah, but do you have a boat?

Sure we do, in the...

[Movers] Sail the Seas Room.

Here we "arrr."

The Sail the Seas Room.

Aah! Ahoy, mateys!

Well, well, she is a beauty.

[all] She's one in a million.

You know, me grandfather had a ship like this--

-The Scurvy Wanderer. -[Movers exclaim]

Once I went with him to the coldest place on earth,

-the Shivering Sea. -[all shudder]

Oh, it was so cold.

[all] How cold was it?

It was so cold that your breath would freeze

and fall to the ground just as you blew it out.

[all exclaim]

Have you never seen frozen breath?

It's as smooth as glass and as slippery as ice.

-[Nina gasps] -Wow.

What else happened?

-[Rich] Yeah, yeah. -By the time we made it back--

Mmm. No, look at me.

I got to stop all this jibber-jabbering.

[all talking at once]

There I go, telling me stories like I always do,

when we got to get under sail.

-I like your stories. -[clamoring]

Captain Kiddo's right.

We have to teach him to sail before his ship leaves in the morning.

-Yeah. -True enough.

And we've got lots of work to do.

Kiddo, how much do you know about sailing?

[chuckling] What do I know about sailing?

[inhaling deeply] Not-- Not much.

Uh, well, that's okay. We can teach you.

Smitty is an expert knot tyer.

Yeah, and Rich is great at hoisting the sail.

Scott can show you how to steer the ship.

And Dave can show you how to drop anchor.

Well, what are we waiting for, then?

-Come sail away! -Come sail away?

[Movers] Come sail away with us!

[all] Arrr!

Well, I'm not much for knot tying or steering or sail hoisting.

So I'm no good at treasure hunting, and I can't sail a ship.

What did I tell ya? I'm just not very good at being a pirate.

Don't say that, Kiddo. You're a great pirate.

Sailing a ship is one of the most important things that a pirate can do.

True.

Like once, when me Angry Guppy was far, far from shore

into shark-infested waters...

there was a six-headed sea monster that rose from the deep.

[Movers exclaim]

And my men had to raise the rigging and tie the knots

faster than ever before just so we could escape.

-Wow. -Do you know what happened?

-No. -They did it.

-[cheering] -All right.

And then they sang a song like I never heard before.

All chanting and hollering and celebrating.

Aye, still remember how that song made me feel.

It stirred the blood in me veins.

Maybe that's what you can do on The Angry Guppy?

[all] Yeah.

You can lead the other pirates in

Well, I'll give it a try.

[music playing]

-You ready to sing, Kiddo? -I'm gonna give it my best.

I don't think singing is me talent

any more than being a treasure hunter or tying knots was.

You know, I once tried to sing an old fishing ditty,

but I just wound up scaring away all the fish.

That's not surprising.

We didn't see a minnow for weeks.

Wow. Really?

Well, of course.

There's not one of me tales that isn't true.

[chuckles] Well, you do tell really, really great stories, Kiddo.

You know, there's nothing like a little entertainment

to put a smile on a fellow's face.

That's it. That's what you can do, Kiddo.

You can tell stories to the other pirates.

-Yeah. -[gasping]

Every journey could use a storyteller to entertain the other travelers.

And to tell the story of the trip once you get back.

Right, because, Kiddo, you remember everything.

And you make them sound so exciting.

I do spin a good yarn.
