Its one of our favorite holidays.

Bright Idea Day?

Yeah, its a holiday celebrated by big thinkers all around the world.

Well, theres no bigger thinkers than you guys.

Whats it all about?

Its about remembering and celebrating

all the great ideas weve had this year. [chuckles]

Like the time I couldnt find my drumsticks,

so I used a pair of maracas to play the drums.

Well, I used a big idea to help my niece.

She was feeling really left out

because all the other kids love sports

and she couldnt find one that was fun for her,

so I made a combination tennis racket and bubble wand.

Now she just loves playing bubble tennis.

All right, I think Warehouse Mouse is feeling a little sad

watching us enjoy our special holiday.

Because mice dont have one of their own.

Well, maybe we could cheer him up

by helping him think of a special holiday just for mice.

And Warehouse Mouse always helps us with our problems.

We should help him with his.

And Bright Idea Day

is the perfect day to help him with his problem.

And, you know, this isn't just a problem.

Its an idea emergency!

[alarm blares]

We need to help Warehouse Mouse.

Come up with a special holiday.

Thats just for mice.

And that means we need some good ideas.

Making Mouse Day like Valentines Day

But I know another kind of celebration

that we could try.

New Years Eve!

Im sure mice would love to do

the fun things that people do on New Years Eve.

Yeah. Lets give it a try.

But holiday traditions are more than just fun things to do.

They all really mean something.

Maybe, instead of just trying to find

fun things for mice to do on Mouse Day,

we should create some new traditions

that would really mean something to them.

-Yeah. -Yes. Right.

Yeah. Thats a good idea, Smitty.

If we want Mouse Day to be meaningful to mice,

then we have to find something special to celebrate.

Yeah. There must have been famous mice

that you could celebrate on Mouse Day.

Why, if it wasnt for mice,

Cinderella wouldnt have a dress.

-[Smitty] That is right. -[Warehouse Mouse] Oh, yeah.

And if it wasnt for a mouse...

Huh-- Dumbo the elephant

would have never learned to fly.

[Dave] Yeah. Oh, let me see.

-Hmm. -Lets see.

Uh...

the lion in that fable

would still have a thorn stuck in its paw.

[Warehouse Mouse] Thats true. Hmm.

Oh.

And if it wasnt for a mouse,

it would be really hard to use a computer.

Uh, Scott, thats a different kind of mouse.

[Dave] Yeah.

So it is.

Well, what kind of tradition can we create

that would celebrate all those things?

You know what?

Those famous mice all had one thing in common.

They helped somebody.

Thats right.

Even though they were little,

they helped out in a big way.

Hey, thats just like you, little buddy.

You always help us out with our problem solving.

Well, so maybe what Mouse Day should be about

is how even the littlest mouse

can help out in a big way.
