We've got plenty of ways out of the warehouse.

I promised I'd take the park pictures by the end of the day

since they're for tomorrow's newspaper.

Well, then this is a problem.

[alarm blaring]

We have gotta find a way...

To get the snow out of the doorway...

So Nina can get out and take her pictures.

And that means we need some good ideas.

that'll suck the snow out of the doorway just like a vacuum.

-[whirring and clattering] -Whoa!

-[Smitty] Boy, he is noisy. -And messy.

Yeah, maybe he should do his inventing further away.

It's my brand-new, just-invented, never-been-seen-before...

[drumroll playing]

Super-duper snow sucker-upper.

-That's incredible. -Wow.

-[bagpipes playing off-key] -Ooh.

[bagpipe music]

-Handy for playing music in a snowstorm. -True.

That's great, Dave, but can it really suck up all that snow?

This big hose will suck up all the snow...

[imitates sucking noise]

Smitty, can you give me a hand?

-Yeah. -All right. Excuse me, sir.

-Come on! -[Nina laughs]

[both] It's snow time.

[whirring]

[bagpipe music playing]

[Scott] The bag is filling up with snow.

[Nina] Wow!

It looks like it's working.

Uh, is that bag big enough?

Ooh, look, we're making a hole.

[machine powers down]

[Scott] ...blow.

-At least it's pretty. -Yeah.

I didn't get all the snow out.

I don't think I'm gonna get out of here in time to take my pictures.

Uh, don't give up, Nina. We'll get rid of that snow.

-Uh, but we better do it soon. -Mmm-hmm.

Well, let's think.

We tried shoveling the snow.

Tiring.

We tried sucking it up with a vacuum.

[inhales sharply]

Well, yeah, but, uh... that didn't work either.

What else can we do with all that snow?

-[sighs] -Hmm?

-Let me check my journal. -[Scott] Ooh, good idea.

Let's see what people usually do with snow.

[Smitty] They plow it.

Oh, yeah! And I can drive it.

-Scott, uh, we don't have a snowplow. -Oh, right.

Oh, they throw it.

[whooshes]

Snowball fight! Whoo-hoo! Ohh!

-[splats] -Oh!

[laughs]

Oh, they build snowmen.

Yeah!

We'll turn all that snow into a... a giant snowman.

Come on. It'll be lots of fun.

Um, Scott,

We can't build a snowman inside the think tank.

Sure we can. Uh, we'll use your hat and a-a carrot for a nose

-And licorice gumdrops and buttons! -No, I mean, the snow will melt.

Ohh.

Dave's right.

It's too warm inside the think tank for a snowman.

Look at all the snow we shoveled earlier.

-That's not snow. That's water. -Exactly.

Snow turns to water when the temperature is too warm.

Oh. So my snowman would turn into a... waterman.

-Yep. -Yeah.

Well, wait a second. This could be the answer.

If we warm up the snow outside, it'll melt into water.

And then we'll be able to get out of the warehouse.

-That's a great idea. -[Scott] Yes!

But how do we warm up the snow? I mean, it's pretty cold out there.

Yeah, we need jackets and gloves and hats just to go outside.

Ooh, I know.

We'll warm up the snow the same way we warm up ourselves.

There! I dressed the snow in our winter clothes.

That should warm it right up.

I don't think that's gonna work, Scott.

[Smitty] Yeah, the snow's too cold and there's way too much of it.

We can't warm it up this way.

Ooh. What if we give the snow some hot chocolate?

You're joking, right?

[laughs] Y-Yes.

Um, so how else can we warm it up?

Yeah.

-What will heat up something that big? -[man] Hmm?

Well, what makes a beach hot?

-Or the sidewalk? -Yeah.

Or the shiny slide at the playground?

[all] The sun!

[chuckles] But it's not sunny out.

-Yeah. -Hmm.

No, it's all cloudy and snowy.

The sun might not be out today...

Of course.

We can open up the door to the sun-room and let the sun shine in on all that snow.

And warm it up...

And melt it.

"Roger" is what you say into a walkie-talkie

when you want to say "yes."

-Yes. -[click]

We're gonna go ahead and start Operation Let the Sun Shine. [laughs]

-[click] -You ready?

Uh, wait. Uh, I brought a test snowball.

Oh, so you can watch it melt?

Yes. I mean, roger.

I mean, you can open the door.

Wow!

-It's working. -Yeah!

-[click] -Whenever you're ready, Smitty.

[static crackles, radio clicks]

-Smitty? -[feedback whines]

Look at it go!

"I'm melting!"

[both] It's melting!

-[click] -The door is open.

Is the sunshine in the Think Tank yet?

-[click] -No.

-[click] -Nope.

-Uh-uh. -[click]

That's weird.

-[click] -We must be too far from the think tank

-for the sunshine to get there. -[click]

Hmm. Let's see.

Huh. We're here.

-Uh-huh. -[whispers] Right here.

And Scott and Smitty are all the way over here.

Which means the sun will have to travel down these hallways...

and around these corners

until it gets to where all the snow is piled up.

-Ohh. -[clicks]

If only we could pick up the sun and move it.

Yeah.

- Ow! -What's wrong?

The light keeps bouncing off your wobble goggles

and shining in my eyes.

Wait a second. That's it!

Maybe we can't move the sun, but we can move the sunshine.

Ooh, watch.

The light bounces off of my wobble goggles

and goes wherever I point it. [laughs]

It's called reflection.

-Wow. -I know. Big word.

No, I meant, "Wow, the reflection is right in my eyes."

Ooh, I'm sorry.

Uh, anyway, If we can find more things that reflect light

-like my wobble goggles... -Or mirrors...

Then we can bounce the sunshine all the way back...

[both] To the Think Tank! Yeah!

-[clicks] -Guys, we have a plan.

[chuckles]

[music playing]

And the light will go zoom, zoom, zoom all the way back here. [laughs]

So all we have to do is make sure we put the mirrors in the right places--

Right. The light will bounce off one mirror and on to the next.

-Zoom, zoom. -Zoom.

That won't take many mirrors at all.

And once we set up all the mirrors...

We can let the sunshine in.

[all] Zoom, zoom, zoom!

Great idea, guys.

-Okay. -Yep.

[imitates brakes squeaking]

[laughs] I want to take a picture before it's all gone.

Now you can take your pictures in time to get 'em in the newspaper.
