Lost Promise

Episode 26

Master, this...

Isn't this

Jiang Qingliu,

Master Jiang?

What?

You went out to walk alone?

Where's your pretty wife?

Uncle Baili, thank you for your concern.

But you may

leave my business to myself.

How dare you!

As our agreement before,

the one who catches Boye Jingxing

will be the new Master of Wulin.

So, gentlemen,

please go home.

I won't see you off.

You...

Meihun.

My sweet boy.

I heard you could say mom.

Come on, call me mom.

Meihun.

It's dad.

Look,

mom's back.

She didn't desert you.

What's that nonsense?

Don't let him hear it.

He's too small

to understand it.

Says who?

My baby is

super smart.

All right.

Whatever you say.

Our baby's super smart.

Stop your sweet-talking.

I haven't lowered my guard against you yet.

Master.

Could I take young Master back to sleep?

OK.

Here.

Attaboy.

Time to sleep.

Have a good sleep.

Here.

Easy.

Let's go back to sleep.

Jing.

Look,

it'll be great if we're

a normal couple.

So we can

have the simplest life

and have simple meals.

There will be just

the three of us,

like when we were wandering in Jianghu.

Stupid kid,

what're you talking about?

That time

was the happiest period

in my whole life.

Kid,

you know what?

Each one in this world

has a duty.

Yours

is to be Master of Wulin

to uphold justice.

What about you?

What's yours?

Unlike you normal people,

I came to this world just for fun.

Liar.

Hey.

Prepare water for me.

I haven't bathed for days.

Jing.

Don't you dare to peek.

Here're the medicines you want.

Seeing from the dose of them,

I don't think Boye Jingxing

can make it too long.

What's your plan?

Man propose,

God dispose.

At the worst,

I'll go back to Cocklebur Island.

Accompanying

the mountains and the sea.

It's not bad.

What if I don't let you go?

I mean,

it's a good idea

if we can travel

around the world

or cure people together.

Isn't it good to

be a happy couple?

Thank you for your good intention.

But

my heart's unmoved

as t he still water.

Look at those flowers.

Why should we plant them

since they'd wither?

Take care.

Kid.

Forgive my imprudence.

I hope I one day in my life

I can meet again the one who stole

Herba Dendrodii on the mountain

. What about you? What's your ? I think my duty is fulfilled now. Jing. Jing? Jing? Jing? Jing? Jing? Jing? Jing. What's wrong? She can not afford any upheavals. She just ate Rouge Pellet 2 times

a day before.

Now she has to

eat more and more

to reserve her energy.

Cuixue.

Master.

Master.

What happened to Her Ladyship?

Go to find Ku Lianzi.

Hurry.

Yes.

Jing.

Jing.

She's awake.

She's awake.

Jing .

Master.

Why're you here?

I heard you blacked out again.

I need to keep an eye on you.

That won't be necessary.

I'm strong as an ox.

Jing.

Stop it.

Why did you carry so many Rouge Pellet

since you were so strong?

Master Ku.

About her health...

I'm pretty fine.

Am I?

Master Ku?

I think so.

See?

How couldn't I know my condition?

How couldn't you know?

Then tell me

how did you faint in t he basin yesterday?

You dare to peek at me?

That's not the point.

You'd still be down the water

were it not for me.

Like I wanted to see that.

Master Jiang.

I'm afraid you have to

tell the pharmacy

to make more flower dew.

The more the better.

OK.

I'll tell them now.

You...

Say nothing.

I know

I'm dying.

Chillecho Valley's avenged.

Now I just

have one wish.

If it's can be realized ,

I'll be died without regrets.

No.

I'll never let you do that.

I have to do it.

It's my last wish.

You must help me.

Please.

Ku Lianzi.

It's the last thing I ask you to do .

I told them,

but we're short of manpower.

It'll come here tomorrow.

Kid.

Did you forget another thing?

What's that?

Your strength isn't recovered yet.

My strength now is enough.

Think no one can

discipline you since Jiang Yintian's dead?

I'll help you

tonight.

It's the last time.

When it's done,

your strength will be fully recovered.

Jing.

What?

Even thought of

the thing I said in the day?

What did you say?

Let's stay away

from the conflic ts of Wulin

and the troubles of the secular world.

No.

You knew you'd deny it.

I told you I didn't.

Jing.

You know I'm not a brave man.

I never dared to defy my family

since I was a kid.

There were so many people watching me,

I didn't have the guts to let them down.

Certainly,

there were many people waiting to laugh at my failure.

Then I met you.

You're a person

who fears nothing

. Sometimes I was regretful that I did not kill you in the dungeon. But destiny is so funny. Do not you think so? Only you could change me. I changed a lot since I met you. that was because you ..

.

Stop talking.

Let me finish.

I'm no longer

that Jiang Qingliu before.

I'm willing to give up

anything for you.

I'm not afraid of the common views.

I want to be with you forever.

Would you be with me?

No.

I came here today to tell you

that there's nothing between us

when this matter is done.

We owe each other nothing.

There's no destiny.

What're you talking about?

From tomorrow now,

you're Jiang Qingliu, Master of Wulin.

Your priority

is to kill me.

Boye Jingxing.

No.

I don't agree.

It's not

your call.

Take a look.

Gentlemen.

Take a look.

Gentlemen.

Jiang Qingliu, Master of Wulin,

will challenge Boye Jingxing?

Did that murder monster, Boye Jingxing

get caught?

I don't think so.

That's a blatant provocation.

So there will be a good show.

I'm looking forward to it.

When did they leave?

I'm not sure.

It wasn't hard for

your wife to leave

without being noticed.

Master.

Well...

What?

I, Jiang Qingliu will challenge Boye Jingxing

a duel at Chillecho Valley 3 days later.

Friends of Jianghu are welcome to watch.

What the hell?

When did I send this notice?

Who dared to

use your name to monger rumor?

Master.

What now?

Your wife...

Boye Jingxing sent a replay,

saying she accepts your challenge.

You really made up your mind?

Is Rouge Pellet for tomorrow enough?

Rouge Pellet.

I...

Ku Lianzi.

Give me a smile.

Terrible.

Rouge Pellet won't be helpful now.

You won't give it a second thought?

I'm just going to fight a kid.

That won't be necessary.

It's not a big deal.

Then take care.

Easy.

I'm too tough

to be killed.

People are getting sentimental

when they grow older.

Come on.

Are you at the same age of Jiang Meihun?

I made up my mind.

Since I can't stop you.

I'm on your side,

whatever you'll do.

Ku Lianzi.

Thank you.

Thank you

for everything.

I figured out a way yesterday.

It may help you to cure your Meridians.

Your strength will be restored

in that way

within 10 days.

You'll be so kind?

Kid, you're

so heartless.

Take a look.

All right.

This...

Let's give it a try .

Let's go.

Hurry.

Let me tell you,

put down the towel

and turn around.

Don't play any tricks.

Master Jiang.

You think I'm in a position

to play tricks?

Tell me,

You're really Boye Jingxing ?

I never changed

my name.

I'm still Boye Jingxing after bath.

Little Jiang.

Boye Jingxing.

Boye Jingxing.

Your outfit looks familiar.

Nineblossoms Sect?

Yes, we are.

How's your Master, He Yingjiu?

I chopped off his right hand

for his rudeness.

And you, Bigblade Sect.

Isn't your sect's name too laughable?

And the hands of

the people from Wudang

were also cut off by me.

I feel so ashamed for you guys.

You haven't mastered your own martial arts,

yet you call yourselves sects?

Who gave you the guts?

Monster, listen up.

I am Master of Startstream Sect.

Even chopping you into pieces

won't avenge my dad enough.

Starstream.

That's a nice name.

You atrocious being.

Our Pinecrane Sect stands against you.

Yes, stands against you.

Stand against me?

Your master's master wasn't so tough like you.

He kneeled to me

and begged for my mercy.

Why don't you fight me now?

Bah!

It's not a shame

if you lose.

That just means you are

as weak as

before.-Master. -You!

Be careful.

You couldn't even dodge the little pellets.

Yet you call yourselves sects?

Shame on you.

I'm telling you,

I admit the crimes

you said.

So what?

Let's fight one-on-one.

A bunch of cowards

who can only bark.

All right.

That's enough.

Little Jiang.

Don't you want to challenge me?

Today,

show me

what Nineshadows Stroke is made of.

You mean it?

Don't tell me your notice was a joke.

Of course not.

So let's fight.

Now we're talking.

Since I entered Jianghu at 14,

my grandpa told me

that you, Boye Jingxing

killed my father.

And also...

And also your teacher since your childhood.

A good person.

Bow to each other.

Wait.

I'm Jin Yuanqiu.

I'm the bride today.

Jiang Qingliu, what do you want?

I, well...

I miss you.

I have a kid.

Jing.

He is our kid.

Our Meihun.

Call her mom.

Jing, are you alright?

Jiang Qingliu.

Do your best.

Jing.

It's just a duel.

It's not.

You should've known my intention.

Do you know what you're talking?

Kid, you don't have the right

to judge me.

Jing.

Let's go.

Leave this place

and live the life we want.

Impossible.

That's impossible, Jiang Qingliu.

Look at the people behind.

They're watching you

and counting on you.

Don't you let them down.

Why can't I just...

You want to see the people

suffering from Baili Tianxiong, that villain?

I...

As Wanchan said,

you don't belong to one person.

You belong to all the people.

If you can't win me,

I'll despise you forever.

I'll never stop disdaining you.

It's not just me.

That villain Jiang Yintian ,

Lanshan Ke,

Chuan Huadie,

Jin Yuanqiu,

the young Mei,

the young Gong

and Meihun will all despise you.

Is this enough?

You didn't do your best.

This's the only move I've got.

Let me do it.

Jing.

What're you doing?

You couldn't do it,

I could.

Why did you do this?

What's the name of

this last move?

You fool.

You can't remember it?

The last move is called

Doomedlove.

You knew I didn't have that strength.

It doesn't matter.

Now everyone knows you have it.

Why did you do this?

You'll be

Master of Wulin again.

Great.

You know I don't care.

I do.

Being Master of Wulin

is your duty.

My duty

is accomplished.

No.

Jing.

Don't die.

No need to save me,

nor can you make it.

Look,

they're watching you.

You can't cry.

Do you have anything

to tell Meihun?

The clouds're dispersed and the sun is shown.

Boye Jingxi ng, you deserve it.

You agreed to

be with me when I was dying.

You've kept your word.

Master Jiang.

To what do I owe

the honor of your visit?

Didn't you just become Master of Wulin?

Why didn't 't you hold a banquet?

I came here

to ask you a question today.

Go ahead.

Is there something wrong

with this Flying Awl?

Apparently

Master cut it short.

So

she went to fight me

with the intention to die.

Right?

She just went to die.

Why?

I thought you know it.

You'd been together so long.

I don't get her.

I never got her.

Our Master had been through

so many things

and had met so many people

during those years .

She might look indifferent

to anything at all

and seemlingly invincible.

But being invincible means being happy?

One thing kept her going,

avenging her sect.

When it was done,

she was totally relieved.

She didn't have to

end in that way .

She could've had

normal people's life.

But she fell in love with you,

only her death could make you safe.

But I...

But I don't care about being Master of Wuli n.

You don't care?

Master sacrificed her life to give you that.

Yet you don't care?

If you don't care about

your present position

and the people's peaceful life,

you'll fail

all our Master's expectations.

Then

did Jing leave anything to me?

Was our Master so sentimental?

So she left nothing?

That's typical.

Qingliu.

Did you forget

about your son?

Meihun

is the best gift

Master left to you.

Look,

we should give our baby

a name.

Well,

you'll do it.

Some whiteness from the pear-blossom is stolen.

Some of its spirit winter-plum allots.

Look,

if it's a girl,

let's name her Lirui.

If it's a boy,

how about Meihun?

Meihong.

It's moving.

All right.

Whatever you said

Meihun.

You must

grow up quickly.

Mom and dad

have suffered too much for you.

Come on.

Stop being sentimental.

This's my baby.

I'm sure he can swing a sword

when he's born .

Stop it.

Don't do prenatal education like that.

He's my kid, too.

Prenatal education?

Isn't our prenatal education impressive enough?

How many kids

can fight bad guys with their parents

while they're still unborn?

Fight bad guys?

We can't use those words.

You should say

uphold justice.

Right, Meihun?

Fine.

Uphold justice.

As long as you're happy.

Meihun.

You' re a practiced swordsman.

Time to study.

Stop practicing.

I'm counting down.

3.

2.

1.

Keep doing that

and our plan to forge a sword tomorrow

will be canceled.

Daddy, I'll study.

Let's forge a sword tomorrow.

Attaboy.

Let me test you.

Come here.

How to read

this word?

It's too hard.

My teacher hasn't taught me yet.

Young Master.

I taught you

this word 2 months ago.

I'm wondering why I forget it.

So it's been too long.

Jiang Meihun.

You...

Daddy.

I'm really not good at study.

Just let me practice sword skills.

I'm skillful in that.

I reached the 2nd level of Nineshadows Stroke.

Just

take a look.

You're Jing's kid indeed.

So hopeless.

Don't call me dad.

All right, nephew.

I'll continue to practice.

Master.

News from the north of the Great Wall.

Someone calls herself Boye Jingxing.

You have so me gift,

but you haven't mastered it.

Nonsense.

Look.

An agile person

can never be defeated.

What matters

is to be fluid and consistent.

Keep the heart at Fenglong Point

and the mind down to Jiexi.

Lower the Qi to Dantian .

It's like a jade.

It's like a shadow.

Distract the enemy.

Changing the star.

Flying sands and rocks.

It's rare to have a day off.

Don't follow me.

There's a tough war tomorrow.

Go back and rest.

I want to take a walk.

Maybe

I know someone here.

Excuse me.

Madam.

Does someone named

Boye Jingxing live here?

I'm Jiang Meihun of Amberverde Mansion.

Darling, come here.

We have a distinguished guest.

You are

Jiang Meihun?

You are?

How's your father?

My father passed away

at the beginning of the year.

I'm sorry for you lost.

My father always talked about

Boye Jingxing before he died.

So I knew my mother's real name.

He also...

He also said my mother had been here.

So I joined the army and came here.

So,

could you tell me where I can find her?

The person you want to see

neve r came here.

She let my husband's master

told my husband to use her name.

So the old friends wouldn't be so sad.

Then you are?

I'm Shuigui Jiao,

the first disciple of Boye Jingxing's doctor.

This's my wife, Shan Wanchan.
