I know that she has
this thriving wig business,

it was very smart

But I thought the execution

was a little sloppier
than she had intended.

I think that last year,

I probably would have came
in here and not smiled once

and been really furious
about being, like, not happy

that I wasn't in the top

for something that I think
that I excelled in.

Do you feel good
about what you did today?

I feel great about what I did,
and that's all I can do.

That's all that should matter.

I've changed, too.

I mean, I think

I think I've made
seeing joy a priority

more that I had
the first time around.

when you first told me

you were gonna blow onstage,

I was kind of jealous,
and I was, like, wait.

This time around,

I'm trying to have
more fun with it.

I didn't get to enjoy
Season 11 when I was here

because I saw so stuck
in competition mode.

My biggest saboteur
was myself.

I would tear myself down,

so the next challenge,

I didn't know
how to even handle it

because I was still
beating myself up

from two challenges ago.

It made me feel like
I was starting to doubt myself.

Last night, I was, like,
letting myself have it.

I got in my head,

and I promised myself
before I got here,

do not get in
your fucking head.

And I had to literally
talk myself down.

I could not even sleep.

I have put in a lot of work

to be back
in this competition.

And to be able to come back

to show RuPaul not only
what I've accomplished,

but the seed that
he helped me nurture

to grow into who I am today.

And I feel so blessed
and I feel so grateful.

And, like, I remember
asking you yesterday,

you know, like,
were you gonna be able

to hold everything together

being that it's for your mom.

Y'all know how much
my mother means to me,

and I have wanted to have
this moment for her for so long.

My mama taught me
that we all stick together,

that we're all one,

and there's been times
in my life

where I have forgotten that.

And this was like a moment

for me to remind the world
and myself

and her that I remember that.

You'll have that forever.

Like, that
will always live on.

You know, Eureka,

when your mom passed,
I reached out to you.

I know how much
my mom meant to me,

and I saw how much
your mom and your family

means to you.

So seeing that,
it was so beautiful.

I really, really

We all know
what it's like to hurt

I've never been shy
about my past.

So Season 4, I was doing
survival sex work

literally two days prior
to me getting on a plane

to coming to Drag Race.

Wow.

Getting on the show,
competing,

I did not know
I was such a broken girl.

I had so many baggages
to unpack

that I didn't even realize

I was hiding so much.

I didn't think that the world

was ready for trans women
to be accepted

even when Kylie came out.

So I didn't want
to come out on the show,

and I knew I was gonna be
under such a microscope

at such an early stage
of my transition

that I didn't want people
to be, like,

oh, well,
she's not woman enough.

Oh, honey, I understand.

And it's not an easy thing,

and I feel like I'm still
working towards something.

And the good thing
about being broken

is there's room to grow.

So it's all about perception

and it's really good
that you can look at that

and see the contrast.

I've had to learn

that you are a woman
because of who you are inside,

in your heart
and in your mind.

And I'm blessed
to have beautiful friends

and that means everything.

At 39, I am at
a better space in my life,

not just, like, career-wise,

but, like, personally.

Well, you ain't surviving
no more, bitch.

You're thriving, bitch.

Thriving.

I think that's the gift
of this experience, you know.

Because we've all been broken.

We've all been through
our shit.

Like, there's a lot of stuff
on Season 7

that I'm not proud of,

Just like you, I watched it,

and I was, like, I don't
even know who this person is.

I had gone into Season 7.

I had points to prove,

and I just--
I had that tunnel vision.

I looked straight ahead,
and I made it to the top.

I had just lost the crown,

and I was getting hate messages

from people all over the world,

trying to air their grievances

with the problems they had
with a character they saw on TV.

And it put me
in such a bad place.

God, I've never talked
about this before.

Don't. It's okay.

Sometimes people
don't understand,

like, we're characters
on a show.

It's hard,
and you are human.

It's so hard
to explain to people,

like this is something
that we've worked so hard for,

and we love it,
we want to be here,

we're so happy to be part
of this journey, but--

It's a sacrifice.

because I have looked up to you.

This is not
an easy thing to do.

No, and it
pulls things out of us

that we try to run from,

is a safe place for us.

it pulls all of that out.

And it's such a blessing
that we get to be here.

that who you are

is so much more.

and All Stars 2,

I didn't get a lot of time
to travel or meet people.

You know what that's like.

what half of that is like.

got out there on the road

and you don't realize
the positive impact

that we have as well.

Because you start
meeting these kids.

They can't even
get into the club

because they're underage,

but they wait outside
in the snow, in the rain,

before I started doing drag.
