[New Horizon]

[Episode 44]

Hello, a bottle of water, please.

OK.

Here's your water.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

Mr. Xia,

you are quite relaxed today.

Have a seat, Sister Hua Xin.

The office is too stuffy.

I want to take some fresh air.

I understand.

Since you've just taken over as the chairperson,

you must have a lot to do.

You must be very stressed.

To be honest,

now in the company,

except for the top managers

and Brother Kai,

people avoid getting close to me.

Even the old classmates of mine...

Never mind.

It must be really hard for you.

You come to meet me

for Captain Ren, right?

Sort of.

You know.

Everyone in the company

seems to think that

it's unfair about your

handling this thing.

After all, you were

Ren Yuan's student before.

You should know better than others

about his professional skills.

With his professional quality,

he can hardly make such

a stupid mistake.

This landing case

is not Captain Ren's responsibility.

But he's the captain who's

responsible for this flight.

I must hold an attitude.

If I can't handle

this thing properly,

something will happen in the budget airline.

As for the foreign captains,

when everything's settled,

I will deal with them.

I see.

I respect your decision.

We outsiders don't know much

about the company's management.

But as the wife of Ren Yuan,

I hope you can

reconsider his

being grounded.

OK.

There's a flight waiting.

Excuse me.

Sister Hua Xin,

please take care of Instructor Ren.

Don't worry.

Goodbye.

I am back.

Honey.

Dear, I'm here.

How's it going?

I haven't seen that

a captain being grounded

can be so happy.

Right. Since I can't fly,

I can take care of Little Fei Fei

and make you meals.

How's that?

Are you really okay?

Sure. I'm totally fine.

Let me tell you.

Today, I met Xia Yu

in the company.

He's having a bad time, right?

Everyone in the company says

that he betrayed his instructor.

You are right.

But he just

became the chairperson.

He wanted to prove his ability

by his first project.

The best way

to help him is

remaining silence.

I can just take care of Little Fei Fei,

right?

Look. What else do we need?

I think we still need

a baby carriage.

How can I forget that?

We'll buy it tomorrow.

(Sorry, the number you dialed)

(is busy.)

(Please try again later.)

(Sorry, the number you dialed)

(is busy.)

(Please try again later.)

Wu Di.

Sorry.

I just muted my phone

and didn't hear your calling.

It's OK.

How's Xiao Mo?

He's fine.

You must be hungry.

Let's go. Let's have dinner.

Xiao Mo helped us a lot

in the profession before.

So I want to try my best to

help him now.

Don't think too much.

I'm not.

Xiao Mo is my bro.

Of course I want him to be better.

If I can do something for him,

I'm willing to do so.

See? You are my girlfriend

and you're helping him.

I'm more than happy.

You really think so?

Of course. Let's go.

I'm back. I'm back.

How was your trip?

It was wonderful.

Right, I bought you gifts.

This one is for you.

That's very kind of you.

Have a look. Do you like it?

What?

This is for our favorite Da Ba.

No.

It's for my favorite Tao Tao.

See if you like it.

Thanks.

What's this?

Is there any big news

when I'm away?

What happened?

There are two things

and both are bad.

Two things?

Are they related to Xia Yu?

You can say so,

but it's not completely

because of him.

Just say it.

Don't keep me guessing.

First,

Senior Xiao Mo cannot hear.

It's the sequela of the car accident.

We don't know whether he can recover.

Anyway, it means that

he can't fly.

So pitiful for Senior Xiao.

What does this have to do with Xia Yu?

Because he

told Wu Di without thinking.

Yes. It was my fault.

After that,

the company had rumors

that Wu Di

often went to Senior Xiao's dormitory,

which made Xia Yu

unhappy.

Wu Di caring for Xiao Mo

makes Xia Yu unhappy,

which is not our first-seen.

And the second thing?

Instructor Ren was grounded.

What?

Because

Captain Jack

made several heavy landings.

The passengers made complaints

about Air Genial.

Even the Civil Aviation Administration came.

Let me tell you.

They were very

bossy every day.

I thought

because of this case,

they would be fired

from the Air Genial.

But God knows.

Xia Yu not only didn't fire

nor punish them,

but he aslo made Instructor Ren grounded.

How can this happen?

And as for Captain Jack,

on the plane, I saw him myself

molested our flight attendants.

He is bad-skilled.

Why our

Instructor Ren is punished?

That's so unfair.

We think it's unfair as well.

Have you talked to Xia Yu?

Don't mention it.

He's too busy

to see anyone.

We've got no chance to talk to him.

Besides he's s superior now.

He's got no time to

care about us, ordinary people.

Right.

No. I will talk to him.

Anyway,

I'm his bro.

He should listen to me.

I hope so.

Come in.

Come in.

Mr. Xia.

Busy?

You're back.

I'm back.

So you didn't make a baby

on your vacation?

It's fated

about the child thing.

This is for you.

I know you have everything.

But this is a token of my regard.

Don't dislike it.

After being overseas, you become official

and try to bribe the chairperson.

I'm not.

Thank you.

By the way,

I come here

to ask you something.

Say it.

Are you the one who gave the order to make

Instructor Ren grounded?

Yes, I did.

Why?

After considering

all the problems,

I made this decision.

And it's best for our company.

Company. Company.

Everything

you think now is the company.

Listen to

what they say about you.

They say that to make your own performance,

you care little about your colleagues

and let them work overtime.

To keep the budget airline,

you punished your instructor.

Some people even say

you betrayed your instructor.

What about you?

Me?

What do you think of me?

I think

you didn't handle it properly

in Instructor Ren's case.

Instructor Ren is our teacher.

We are here now

because we had

Instructor Ren.

Not to mention

it was not his fault at all.

Even if it was his fault,

as a chairperson,

shouldn't you minimize the problem?

Our stand is different.

So the way of handling problems

is different.

Compared to you

as a capitalist now,

I prefer

you as a pilot.

OK.

Right. Later,

I have something to handle.

Let's end here.

Thanks for your gift.

OK. Bye.

(You're online?)

(Let's chat.)

(What can I do for you?)

(Today Luo Dong came back from honeymoon)

(and brought me a gift.)

(I'm happy for him.)

(Me too.)

(The hardest thing in the world)

(is two people loving each other.)

(He's careless)

(and goofing around all the time.)

(It's really hard to find people like Yu Jie)

(who loves him so much.)

(We two are)

(friends since the aviation university.)

(Though everyone says)

(he's an errand boy of mine,)

(but I never)

(see him that way.)

(I regard him as my brother from my heart.)

(Did you quarrel?)

(Not really.)

(It's about Captain Ren.)

(He thinks I didn't handle it properly.)

(He said I changed)

(and preferred me)

(as a pilot.)

(I didn't like you)

(as a pilot.)

(You were very bossy.)

(So you like "the me" right now?)

(Better than the old you.)

(You really have a different taste)

(from others.)

(You have good taste.)

(The foreign captain's case)

(is getting big.)

(Do you have)

(any solution?)

(Yes.)

(But you know,)

(in China,)

(the airline trains the pilots)

(at public expense.)

(Even the pilots want to come to our company,)

(their airlines)

(won't let them go easily.)

(Concerning the experiences, qualifications, and voices,)

(in poaching and recruiting)

(the pilots,)

(you have to follow the rules,)

(which means you have to wait.)

(But to meet the urgent need,)

(I think)

(you can ask someone for help.)

(Who's that?)

(Lei Chen. Mr. Lei.)

(Lei Chen?)

(We blew up)

(in his face before.)

(Will he be willing to help?)

(It's about the company's interest.)

(How can you know the results without trying it?)

Honey, I'm back.

You come back at the right time.

I've just cooked

your favorite potatoes.

Eat it while it's still hot.

It smells good.

Come on.

Suddenly, I think it's good

for your not flying.

Your cooking skill is progressing.

That's right.

I will be a father soon.

After practicing cooking,

I can look after the child better.

Right?

You bought that baby carriage?

Yes, it just arrived.

I booked it online. Isn't it pretty?

And

I write down everything.

Look. Four sets of clothes.

Two sets of extra small

and two of small.

The child grows fast, right?

Two bags of milk powder.

What if he doesn't like

the milk powder, right?

And 20 bags of baby diapers.

Because he will urinate every day.

And 10 pacifiers for hygiene.

And two bottles of body wash.

What else?

I'll write them down.

It's almost there.

That's it? OK.

Let's eat.

I'll buy them after the meal.

Let's eat.

Come on. Try this.

You should try this first.

Mr. Lei,

your Golf skills

are getting much better.

Of course.

I'm retired

and have nothing to do.

Practicing golf every day,

surely I can make some progress.

Don't say this.

Without you, we don't know

how messy

the Air Genial

would be.

What?

I'll let Mr. Xia

talk to you himself.

Uncle Lei.

Mr. Xia, you are quite free.

Come on, have a seat.

Mr. Li.

What can I do for you?

Surely you've heard that

Air Genial has

run into some problems lately.

I'd like to ask for your help.

You know that

I want to start

a budget airline of Air Genial.

But now we don't have enough captains.

If we just hire

foreign captains,

this will not work in the long run.

You and my father

have worked

so many years in aviation.

You have a lot of contacts and connections.

So...

Since you've been a captain before,

you should know

that since the first day of work,

you've signed a life-long contract

with your company.

I know.

But with your seniority,

of course you can find a solution.

Let me consider it.

Then I'll not bother you anymore.

Thank you, Uncle Lei.

I didn't expect he would

come and ask for your help himself.

Mr. Lei, you should take this opportunity

and teach Xia Yu

a lesson.

Let him experience what you've been through.

Does it make any sense for you?

Coming.

Aunty,

why are you here?

Come on in, please.

OK.

Where's Hua Xin?

She's working.

She's probably coming back now.

Have a seat.

OK.

Let me get you a cup of water.

You are home alone.

Right.

Here is your water, Aunty.

Ren Yuan,

did anything

happen to Xiao Mo?

Is something wrong?

I don't know.

Hua Xin called me.

She asked me whether Xiao Mo was home.

I asked her what happened.

She spoke

hesitatingly and unclearly.

I'm worried.

So I come here.

I didn't find Xiao Mo at his place.

He didn't answer my calls either.

Did anything happen to him?

No way.

He's a grown-up

and he should be in the sky now.

Our company is

really busy now.

The women in our company

are working as the men.

And the men are working...

That's enough.

Shut up if you don't know how to talk nonsense.

Be honest with me.

What exactly has happened?

I don't know.

You say that again.

Last time when Wu Di broke up with Xiao Mo,

you all hid it from me.

You want to do it again?

No, Aunty.

I really don't know.

You just came.

Let me take you outside for a meal, okay?

If you want to eat something, we'll...

Don't blabber.

Just tell me the truth.

You're making me worried.

Is he living here?

Yes. Eighth floor.

Aunty,

I won't go upstairs.

Come with me.

No, no, no. You two want to talk.

I'm not appropriate to be there.

Fine.

I'll wait for you here.

OK.

Hello, who're you looking for?

Xiao Mo.

I'm Xiao Mo's mother.

Xiao Mo's mother.

Xiao Mo has gone to the hangar

and hasn't come back yet.

OK. I'll find him in the hangar.

And

he should

come back soon.

Let me open the door for you.

How about waiting for him inside?

That would be great.

Thank you.

You are welcome.

OK. Thank you.

Mrs. Xiao,

you can wait for Xiao Mo here.

OK. Thank you.

OK. You're welcome.

Right. I'll do it.

Let me do it.

Honey,

I have no choice.

Aunty came to our house

and set tricks for me.

I don't know she's so sophisticated.

I had to tell her the truth.

You can't even hold your tongue till I come back.

Aren't you stupid?

I...

How can I keep that till you come back?

I tell her in less than five minutes.

You are really stupid.

What if Xiao Mo knows

that you betray him,

you'll wait and see.

No. No.

I've told Aunty

that she would

say she found out herself.

Xiao Mo will never know.

You think

people are as silly as you?

Honey,

help me.

Thank you, Honey.

Honey.

Fine. Fine. Fine

OK. Bye-bye.

What are you doing here?

I...

Your mother is waiting for you upstairs.

I drove her here.

How can you not tell your mom

such a big thing?

Mom,

what are you doing?

I'm fine now.

Don't act like my sister.

Like

I'm dying, okay?

What are you talking about?

Come home with me.

I can't let you

be here alone.

I won't go back hometown.

I'll stay here to look after you.

I'll be here to look after you.

Don't do that. I...

Mom, would you please stop?

I can't hear what you say.

Li Wei,

we're ready to get off work.

Why do you get a nosebleed?

Never mind. Maybe the excessive internal heat.

Just the nosebleed. It's nothing.

Are you sure?

I'm fine.

The weather is quite dry lately.

You'd better go to the kitchen

or else the bread will get burned.

Just go.

Go. Go.

Yu.

Three external captains

are here to register.

That's quick!

I don't know.

We haven't made an agreement before,

but suddenly they are here.

Where are they?

Filling the forms in the flight department.

Let's go check it out.

Uncle Lei.

Come and have a seat.

Do you like it?

Thank you

for this time.

No need to thank me.

Since you call me Uncle Lei,

I should come out

and help you.

But in fact,

this is not completely for you.

I mainly

don't want to see the Air Genial

which your father and I built up painstakingly,

get ruined in your hand.

I must confess this time.

I'm not well prepared for

this pivotal project

because of my lack of experience.

I didn't think highly of you.

I always thought you were just playing.

I thought you were young and nothing can be done.

But I never thought that

you could drag me down.

It made me look at you

in a new light.

Compared with Uncle Lei,

what we did was just

playing tricks.

No. Playing tricks also means you are smart.

I am old.

I should give way to others

and enjoy the sunshine and beaches.

The future belongs to the youngsters.

I should let young people

take over the business.

But listen to me carefully.

If you ruin Air Genial

one day,

don't blame me for turning my back against you.

Uncle Lei,

I can assure you that.

With your spurring,

I will only make Air Genial

better.

I think highly of you.

Here.

Here, Uncle Lei.

Come on.

Let's eat.

Ren Yuan is a good boy.

Only he told me the truth.

And you two just tricked me.

How can he be a good boy?

He's just stupid.

We didn't tell you

because we didn't want you to be worried.

The doctor said that

he's okay and it's temporary.

Except for the little damage

to the auditory nerve,

he's totally fine.

And he'll recover one day.

OK. Stop it.

I'm not going back anyway.

I'll stay here to look after him.

Right. You two...

When will you pick up

Little Fei Fei?

Tomorrow.

Tomorrow.

Tomorrow?

Let's eat.

Honey, what are these

packages?

Aren't we going to pick up Little Fei Fei?

Yes. I bring her some toys

and some changing clothes.

Hello?

Yes. We're coming.

What?

We can talk about it when we're there later.

What's wrong?

Little Fei Fei will be picked up by others.

What's going on?

Who picked up

Little Fei Fei?

It's Little Fei Fei's uncle.

Uncle?

Why does this uncle come from?

We were told that

no relatives could be contacted.

Yes.

But Little Fei Fei's born mother

did have a younger brother.

He went abroad earlier

and contacted us recently when he was back.

Little Fei Fei is his niece after all.

So he decided

to adopt and raise Little Fei Fei himself.

At this time,

they should be abroad.

We have finally

passed the audition.

And

we've even signed the adoption agreement.

I understand your feeling.

I'm very sorry.

It all came in a sudden.

We think

if the child can

stay with her relatives,

it'll be the best for her.

So

please forgive us.

We can understand.

Of course,

if someone can offer

a better life

to Little Fei Fei,

we're more than happy.

Don't worry.

Her uncle also said that he hoped

you can visit the child

if it is possible.

Sure. We'll definitely do it.

Then

we won't bother you any longer.

Thank you.

OK.

If there is

something else,

I'll keep you informed.

Thank you.

OK.

Thank you.

Wu Di,

how are you doing over there?

(Good. I'm coming back.)

OK.

Right.

I just got the key

from Du Wei.

Now

I'm going to cook some dishes at your place

and wait for you.

When will you be home?

(It will be)

(about 8 in the evening.)

I'll go pick you up.

(No need. See you in the evening.)

OK. I'll wait for you.

(Did you get off the plane?)

(I'm in the dispatch room)

(to get the work schedule.)

(Then I'll be back.)

Tong,

How's it going? Did you find it?

No.

Now,

every pilot who has rested enough

and who's on the waiting list

is doing the flight mission.

We can't find

an appropriate pilot.

What...

What's wrong, Captain Tao?

Wu Di.

My co-pilot

suddenly fell sick and went to the hospital.

I'm freaking out.

Tong,

do me a favor.

Or else

this flight will be canceled.

OK.

Captain Tao,

let me be your co-pilot.

Didn't you just finish flying?

I haven't reached the

flying time anyway.

It's OK.

That's great.

Tong, give me the schedule.

OK. OK.

Stop it.

Come on. Give it to me.

Are you okay?

Yes.

Do you know

why I wanted to

adopt Little Fei Fei?

Why?

Because when I see the baby,

I often think of myself.

Think of yourself?

Let me tell you a secret.

Actually, my aunty

is not my real aunt.

I was adopted.

You already know this?

You know it too?

Aunty told me already.

But everyone thinks

that you don't know.

Yes, they all think

I don't know.

When I was very young,

one day at midnight,

I suddenly woke up

and heard Aunty

discussing with Uncle

about my household registration.

Then I knew.

But

they were

so kind,

especially my aunty.

She treated me

as her own child.

Sometimes, she bought me

more expensive things

than Xiao Mo.

So in all these years,

I always have a wish.

I wish

when I grow up,

I want to be

a person like Aunty.

I want to pass on

the selfish love.

So when Little Fei Fei

suddenly showed up in front of me,

I thought

it might be a chance

that God gave me.

Of course,

now Little Fei Fei

has found her real family.

It is even better.

What about these things?

Keep them.

Though we don't have Little Fei Fei,

I believe

in the near future,

we will have children of our own.
