- Episode 12 -

I don't care who the baby's father is anymore.

Geez, he treats me in such a cheap way.

I'm the easy one to pick on.

There's no smoking here.

I didn't light it! I did not light it!

Hey, are you okay?

Se Yeon, get in! Hurry!

[The Abandoned Condominium]

Why are you all alone? Where are the others?

Why didn't they help you all the way?

Do you get hurt a lot?

No. I'm okay.

Hold on a bit, Se Yeon.

I'll try to hurry.

Hello, Jeong Won.

Where are you?

It's good that your injury is not too serious since you can't go to the hospital.

- Are you okay? - Yeah.

I thought I could convince Park Jeong Shim.

Why did you think that?

Because we are both mothers.

She was convinced. That's why she left you at the police station.

Otherwise, who knows what could've happened to you in the middle of nowhere.

We got more towels and pillows.

- Blankets too. - Are you okay, Se Yeon?

Yeah, I'm okay.

Thank you.

- You already had dinner. - I'm still hungry.

This reminds me of our high school days.

Really.

We used to gather at Se Yeon's place not to do homework,

but to listen to music and cook spicy rice cakes.

We shared some silly secrets, too.

Like with whom and where did we do the first kiss... yikes... I'm getting goosebumps.

We thought that was a big secret then.

How childish we were then.

Who was the one that kissed first among us?

Me!

So audacious...

Wow, you're the last person who can say those words to me.

What should we do now?

We have no use for Park Jeong Shim anymore.

Sang Hoon is our only hope, but...

Where can we find him?

What?

Kim Yeong Dae used Sang Hoon's phone when he tried to get me out of the hospital.

Can we use GPS tracking?

Yes. If Kim Yeong Dae turns on Sang Hoon's cell phone from where they're at...

We can find the whereabouts of Sang Hoon. But how can we notice even if he turns on it?

Let me tell you a secret.

I'm not only good at tailing people.

Wow, you're so good at hanging in there. You were born to be good at this.

But...

It seems you think the video is your insurance.

But you should've read the hidden disclosures carefully.

Within 30 days after application date,

you can cancel the insurance within 15 days after receiving the insurance policy.

Even if you don't hand me the video recording,

your life is not guaranteed.

Do whatever you want.

I don't care anymore.

You don't care. Don't care...

You're doing all this for Se Yeon.

If the video recording gets deleted

there'll be no way to exonerate her.

Don't try to protect her carelessly.

She's still my asset.

I think I have to take a moderate way.

Don't you think I'm cool?

Don't you wish you were so cool?

Fly to the sky...

[My husband]

If you kill me, one of the two scammers in the Kim Yeong Dae's plot would be dead.

One will end up in jail and Kim Yeong Dae will keep the money all to himself.

While you fall to Kim Yeong Dae's plot,

your daughter, Sang Hee will end up dying much like Kyung Hee.

[My husband]

Why aren't you answering my call?

What happened to Jang Se Yeon?

Mommy!

I'm hungry.

You go on first.

I'll send Ye Rin right after you.

Are you sure you're going to be okay by yourself?

Raising a child...

Compared to Se Yeon, this is nothing.

Everything should turn out okay, right?

For Se Yeon, me and you, too.

I'm not sure about her!

Ask me how it went.

How did it go?

We requested cooperation through Lawyer Yang.

As soon as Han Sang Hoon's cell phone gets turned on, they'll notify us.

Really? That's great.

Wow, you're good.

Good job!

Se Yeon, Hwa Yeong said...

Where are you going?

Let's go to the abandoned condominium.

Why there?

To look for Sang Hoon.

We already checked there with Eun Soo.

Then let's go to Kim Yeong Dae's grandmother's place.

Why there?

I don't know. I just want to check out any leads.

We can't just sit and wait for their call.

Daddy, where are you?

I can't see too well. It's really dark there.

Daddy, hurry home. Hurry

I'm waiting for you.

Ah Yeon...

Daddy, why aren't you here yet?

- Why aren't you here yet? Hurry. - Hurry up. Hurry...

- I love you. - I love you.

What are you doing there?

Hurry home. Hurry. I love you.

I'm waiting for you.

Hop, hop, hop!

Hop, hop, hop. How cute. Did you take after your mom?

See you again.

How cute she is.

She's really nice to me because I told her I'm your friend.

Ah Yeon... Don't touch Ah Yeon...

Of course...

I know how you feel since I'm a dad too.

I'm doing this because I know it too well.

Using a child is the best bet to get to the parent.

I told them I was Ye Rin's dad.

The teachers were so kind to me.

They let me in not knowing what kind of harm Ah Yeon could face.

Geez, you were so stubborn. Why are you crying now?

So, would you bite this time?

- Seven, three, nine, five... - What?

I can't hear well. I'm going to hang up.

7395!

7,3,9,5...

I don't understand why parents will do anything for the sake of their children?

If you gave me the wrong PIN, as much as one digit,

I'll drown your head in your daughter's blood.

Hello?

The cell phone turned on? Where?

I'm SIU Han Sang Hoon for JK Life.

I was kidnapped by the insurance scammer, Kim Yeong Dae.

I'm not sure where my body may end up,

so I'm leaving behind this video recording.

First of all, the truth is

everything Kim Yeong Dae testified to is not true.

He's framed Jang Se Yeon for everything he did himself.

What I'm saying to you right now is the truth.

- How did it go? - As you thought, Kim Yeong Dae was here.

- Alone? - Yeah.

Ah Yeon said she talked to her dad on the video call.

Did she see anything else?

I don't think so.

Yes, Hyun Woo.

From Sang Hoon?

Yes. Please send it to me.

What is it?

Han Sang Hoon sent him a video recording.

He said it was sent to you.

What is this?

Se Yeon.

Don't worry about me. I'm fine.

Wait. isn't this the abandoned condominium?

Se Yeon, I'm really sorry.

I've hurt you and lied to you.

I don't think I'll have another opportunity to talk to you, so...

As you said, I'm the one who left the fingerprint at the Na Yoon Jeong crime scene.

Kim Yeong Dae would have never left the fingerprint like that.

Even by doing so, I wanted to expose Kim Yeong Dae

and more than anything, I didn't want you to get hurt by him.

Kim Yeong Dae would do anything to scam the insurance money.

I know you won't forgive me for lying to you.

You know that I'm a bad guy.

I'm neither a good father nor a good husband.

When I got divorced, I wrote Ah Yeon's name on the abandon list to abandon her.

Come to think of it, I lied to you saying that that was my wife's doing.

I lied too much.

I just wanted to be a good person to you.

I'm sorry, Se Yeon. I'm really sorry.

Everything about me may seem like a fake to you,

but my heart was sincere, to you.

Don't you wish you were so cool?

Fly to the sky...

While you fall to Kim Yeong Dae's plot,

your daughter, Sang Hee will end up dying much like Kyung Hee.

Sang Hee, I need to go out for a bit.

Eat this while you play.

Where are you going?

I'm not going far.

If something happens,

press number one on the phone. Understand?

No matter what happens, I'm going to protect you.

Sir! Sir!

Yeah, did you track Han Sang Hoon's cell phone?

Yes. It was traced to his daughter's kindergarten school.

Also, I heard that Jang Se Yeon came by there.

Jang Se Yeon? Why did she go there?

This is crazy. What the heck is going on? Did you trace the IP on the video Han Sang Hoon sent?

Yes, but... It traced to China.

This is crazy.

This is the right place.

Let's spread out.

Se Yeon.

That.

Call Eun Soo and Hwa Yeong.

Yeah, Jeong Won?

What did you say?

Okay. Hang up.

Eun Soo!

This is does not look good. Go downstairs and call the police.

What? No, I can't. You're still wanted by the police.

The police may have already seen Sang Hoon's video message.

But you don't know if that alone can exonerate you?

Anyway, it's too dangerous here. Wait in the car.

No. Let's go together.

You're pregnant! Just do as I say.

You knew?

Hey, I'm a mom..

I couldn't congratulate you because you didn't say anything. Thought maybe something happened to you.

Go to the car, okay?

No. I'm going with you.

I can't let you go all by yourself.

Let's go up a little bit.

Eun Soo?

Hello?

Eun Soo?

Eun Soo, I can't hear you.

Eun Soo.

Eun Soo...

My gosh, you're such a weed.

When we stepped on you so much, you should've died on your own. So everything would go smoothly.

Let her go.

Okay, I'll let her go.

Then...

Finish what you couldn't back then.

Jump off.

You don't want to?

If you don't, all your friends will die here.

Ah, Ye Rin, too.

In the mountain over there,

like the asshole I buried not long ago.

Did you kill Sang Hoon?

If you hurry, you may see him draw his last breath.

Whatever you decide, do it fast. Jump off.

Can't you make up your mind?

Should I make it easier for you?

Let me see. She should be there by now.

Sang Hee's mom, are you at the hospital?

Oh, you're next to Ye Rin? Get ready.

- Malathion lethal dose to Ye Rin... - Stop it!

Give it to her all at once.

Stop it!

Wait a minute.

Tell her to spit it out.

I'll kill myself. That's what you want, right?

Don't, Se Yeon.

If I kill myself, you'll let go of my friends and let Ye Rin live, right?

Of course! With this money, I'll make sure Ye Rin receives the treatment she needs.

Don't you worry.

No, Se Yeon, no, he's lying. Se Yeon!

Se Yeon, no!

You!

You're getting bolder.

Die! Just die!

Stop it!

Stop it, Sang Hee's dad.

What the hell were you doing all this time?

Do you see this? I'm cleaning up what you left behind.

I don't care.

What?

If I end up being your pension plan, just like her,

I really don't care.

Is today it? Why is everybody barking?

But not Kyung Hee and Sang Hee.

If you really

gave Kyung Hee the pesticide for insurance money...

Why, why, why? Why are you all going crazy?!

If that's the truth,

I'll never forgive you!

Who forgives whom?

Who forgives whom?!

Ten years ago, what you wore on your body and what went in your mouth

came from Kyung Hee's insurance money.

So what do you mean you have to forgive me?

Jeong Shim.

We sacrificed Kyung Hee's life to save us both!

We lived well!

I heard what he said to her.

What are you blabbering?

Han Sang Hoon sent the police a video message. You're finished now!

What video message?

Did he say that I kidnapped him and held him hostage? Where's the evidence?

I just have to burn this place down,

tell the police that that b*tch threatened him

to frame me.

Then there's no problem. It'll be all over.

That's why I'm going to do this.

I'll be the witness.

I'll be the witness and proof of all your crimes.

How dare you stab me on my back! How dare you stab me on my back!

You dare to stab me in the back?

I just want a life. Why are you all doing this to me?!

I'll show you what will happen if you want to be the witness.

Se Yeon! Se Yeon.

Are you okay?

Oh.. What a relief.... What a relief....

Are you okay?

He must be dead, right?

How did your girlfriend know that Kang Tae Oh's wife had a delusion of infidelity?

Jay Hee used to make fun of her delusions all the time.

She claimed she found women's stockings and underwears in his car. That's why she suspected him.

I told So Mi about that.

What's the other question?

Jae Hee... Why did you kill her?

How did you kill her?

The time of Jae Hee's death... Chef Hwang had a firm alibi.

In the end, it wasn't Jae Hee's lover who killed her.

But you kept insisting that her lover killed Jae Hee.

You suffered from Ripley Syndrome 10 years ago.

[”Ripley's Syndrome” refers to a personality disorder in which a person starts believing in the lies he or she has made up.]

That her lover killed her.

The judge didn't believe you, but your mother believed you wholeheartedly.

What her son said. And that lie turned your mother into a murderer.

In the end a victim.

I'm sure your sense of guilt was unbearable.

That's why you continued to hold on to your lies.
