(Episode 93)

Return to work.

Ms. Hwang said she won't fire you and dropped the lawsuit.

Do you mean it?

Did Ga Heun really say she'd do that?

That's right. How did you win her over?

You didn't get on your knees and beg, did you?

Why would I do that?

I'm Oh Ha Ra.

There's no one better for the part than I am!

True. Your impudent passion for acting is infuriating.

Mr. Kim!

What?

Ga Heun really canceled the vote on my dismissal?

Yes. How did you persuade her to change her mind...

in just a day?

How did I persuade her?

I didn't have to do much. She realized she was out of line.

That's true.

Ms. Hwang also instructed to proceed...

with DDM Venus.

DDM Venus?

She said she would reconsider...

whether to launch DDM Venus at all.

But she said to go ahead with it?

Ga Heun said to proceed with DDM Venus?

That's right. I'm surprised as well.

That's such a relief.

I thought I'd never be DDM Queen again.

I couldn't sleep at all last night.

I feel like I went from a fiery pit up to paradise.

Se Rin. Did you go see Ga Heun...

by any chance?

What? Me?

That's right. What did you do...

that she permitted the launch...

of DDM Venus?

Did you get on your knees and beg?

What do you mean?

Why would I do that?

I showed her all the designs...

for DDM Venus.

Even she thought it would be a waste not to launch the brand.

You know how brilliant the designs are.

Even still. Ga Heun isn't the type...

to accept you like this.

She had no choice.

She invested in Jewang, so she needs it to be profitable.

I'm sure DDM Venus will bring in three times what the new brand will.

Three times is overreaching.

Anyway, since things went well,

let's meet tomorrow to discuss the launching show.

Okay. See you tomorrow.

Asking for a fair competition worked.

Ga Heun is so competitive.

What's the big deal about getting on my knees? They won't wear out.

Finally, I'll be known as a gifted designer.

I can become a queen.

DDM Venus!

Grandma. Ms. Hwang became...

the CEO of Hwaipeu Fund.

And as soon as she took over,

she said she'd revamp Jewang.

I didn't think that far.

Ga Heun takes action swiftly.

But I'm afraid...

that she'll strike swiftly at Father.

Ha Jun.

Go and beg Ga Heun.

She isn't the same person she was before.

There was murder in her eyes.

Even animals will attack...

whoever it is...

with their claws out...

if they lose their mom.

You must pacify her at all costs. You must.

I'll do whatever it takes to stop her.

I can't let Father get hurt.

Ji Na Hwang's grudge.

It sounds like you think it is my fault.

Do you plan to chop up my company and sell off the pieces...

as we did to Oman Group?

Why not?

What?

If you don't want that to happen,

you must prove Jewang's worth.

My family worked hard to build Jewang Group.

How dare you threaten me?

Father. You are disturbed because of Ga Heun,

aren't you?

She said she'd take revenge for Oman Group...

in Ji Na Hwang's stead...

and declared war against me.

To be honest...

I know you said...

a businessperson must not apologize readily,

but I had hoped you would apologize...

before Ji Na Hwang passed away.

Being accountable is also a duty of a businessperson.

So? Are you saying I should've gotten on my knees...

and begged for forgiveness?

That will never happen.

I've lived with that guilt...

for 30 years!

- Father, I... - Now that I think about it,

it was wrong of me to feel guilty.

I didn't need to.

I got rid of the mother tiger...

and ended up inciting the brazen tiger cub.

Your father will not sit back and watch Ga Heun...

do as she pleases.

Father, you're very drunk.

Stop drinking.

I got rid of the mother tiger...

and ended up inciting the brazen tiger cub.

Father wasn't involved in Ji Na Hwang's death,

was he?

He couldn't have been.

Your dismissal?

Why did you have to embezzle company funds...

and let Ga Heun catch you?

What do you mean, embezzle?

I used it for a short while.

I withdrew my investment from Ha Ra's movie...

and put it all back.

I used my status as vice president to use it for a short while.

Ga Heun just overreacted.

Anyway, she canceled the vote on my dismissal.

Why must you and I shudder in fear...

because of that worthless kid?

What would people think of Jewang Group?

Don't be angry.

I know it's annoying, but the new brand must succeed...

to help your image.

You should be a globally successful businessman when you enter politics.

Be patient until then.

Do you think the political world will wait until then?

Which gets me to my point.

Why don't you have dinner with Chairman Tak,

the famous kingmaker?

Like he'd meet me?

He never meets anyone...

until he's sure the person is a solid candidate.

Of course, he doesn't.

They need to be at least of your caliber.

That's why I pulled some strings...

and scheduled a dinner with Chairman Tak tonight.

You did? Really?

Yes.

I've prepared a gift that will please him,

so it will be a good dinner.

Mr. Kim. Bring it in.

What is this?

Your political fund.

Actually, this was why I had been taking kickbacks...

from subcontractors over the years.

I'm sure this is enough...

to make Chairman Tak your kingmaker.

What? When did you...

Chairman Tak.

Chairman Tak is a very influential retired political bigwig.

He is famous for being a kingmaker.

Oh Byung Gook has dinner plans with him tonight.

He probably considers it his make-or-break moment.

He wants to win Chairman Tak over to his side.

I guess political funds will exchange hands during dinner.

If we can obtain evidence of it, it'll be enough to destroy him.

Can we install a camera in the restaurant?

Chairman Tak is very thorough when it comes to things like that.

It won't be easy.

I'll find a way somehow.

No, I don't think that will be necessary.

Someone else will bring me the evidence.

Chairman Oh Byung Gook will meet...

Chairman Tak, a political bigwig, tonight.

Money will be exchanging hands.

Record the scene and bring it to me.

If I don't follow DDM Queen's orders,

DDM Venus will never get launched.

Then I'll never get a chance to beat Eun Jo.

I must be at the dinner tonight...

no matter what it takes.

Hi, Se Rin.

You brought the invitation list for tomorrow's launching show?

Yes. Here.

I included Mr. Kong Doo Ri and all the hot celebrities.

I thought it would be good to include some political figures.

What if we invite Chairman Tak?

Yes. That's a good idea.

He and the chairman are meeting for dinner tonight anyway.

Give me the invitation.

I'll give it to him.

Actually, may I give it to him personally?

I'll prepare a gift as well.

It would be awkward to give him just the invitation.

And wouldn't it seem much more meaningful...

if the head designer personally invites him?

He's not an ordinary VIP.

I see. You've become very thoughtful.

I guess the job really does make the person.

Fine. You can come and give it to him yourself.

On second thought,

it wouldn't be appropriate for you to be there.

Then I'll just say hi, give him the invitation, and leave.

Okay. Sure. Do that.

Let's eat together another time.

Yes, ma'am.

Here's an invitation to DDM Venus's launching show.

I thought Hwaipeu Fund would stop it, but I guess not.

Stepmom's dismissal was canceled as well.

I heard they kept Ha Ra on for the movie too.

Doesn't it seem sketchy?

It does.

Just two days ago, she acted like she'd strike everyone immediately.

But she suddenly quieted down.

Exactly.

I don't like it.

Ms. Hwang's tactic seems like a Trojan Horse.

Like she's making her enemies relax...

to strike them from behind.

She does seem to be planning something big.

What could it be?

I'm clueless.

She's impossible to read.

One thing is for sure. Se Rin is probably on cloud nine,

thinking she'll beat Ga Heun.

And I think Stepmom is scheming something else...

before Ga Heun strikes again.

I think Eun Jo's first target of her revenge...

is Se Rin.

Se Rin.

Then we should go to this show.

Yes. We'll find out there...

how Eun Jo punishes Se Rin.

That's right. Na Wook Do hasn't been caught yet, right?

No. Why?

We need to confirm whether Stepmom really hired him...

to bring Ji Na Hwang to the mountain.

Are you saying it may not have been her?

No. It has to have been her.

It has to.

The room is clean.

Chairman Tak, Chairman Oh, and Ms. Geum will be here soon.

Hi, Se Rin. You came early.

I just got here.

Did you bring the invitation and the gift?

Yes. I'll leave once I give these to him.

Chairman Tak has arrived.

It has been a while.

Thank you for making time for me, Chairman Tak.

- It's good to see you. - Same here.

And she is...

She's our head designer for the brand...

our company is launching.

Hello. I'm Ju Se Rin.

I stopped by to see you...

and to invite you to my launching show.

Please come.

Enjoy your dinner.

Okay.

- Please have a seat over there. - Sure.

It's a small gift.

Please consider it a token of my respect for you.

I hear you're considering running for office.

Yes. Please be...

my husband's kingmaker, Chairman Tak.

This is a great start.

Since you've decided to run, I'll consider it my final duty...

and support you.

Thank you.

I feel like I've just gained a million soldiers.

If you support him,

my husband is a done deal.

- Is that right? - Yes.

Our party has been saying...

that we need someone good.

It's good to have you on.

Thank you.

This election...

My queen, this is to show my devotion to you.

Here's the video.

Se Rin, you really are amazing.

You do everything I ask without question...

because of your desire to become DDM Queen.

Good work, servant.

Since you've displayed your unchanging devotion to me,

I'll send a special gift to my servant.

A special gift?

What is it?

A dress for a queen. Just for you.

Wear it tomorrow during the finale.

Do you mean it? It's such an honor.

I'll never forget how you turned me into a queen.

Thank you.

I respect you so much.

Good. Don't forget that respect.

I want to see for myself how I made you succeed...

as a queen of fashion.

I'll go to you tomorrow.

Just wait, servant.

Yes, my queen.

Please come and congratulate me...

on becoming a queen.

(Video 001.mp4)

I have the final bomb for Oh Byung Gook now.

I just have to blow them up in order.

Se Rin.

I'm you, and you're me.

I can't wait to see how you crumble from the shock...

caused by your greed.

There must be a reason why Eun Jo became...

so hard and nasty.

That's why she kicked Tae Sik out, got you your house back...

Hey. Maybe...

something huge happened to her five years ago.

That's right. She went to Ha Ra's vacation house...

for her bachelorette party.

Something happened to Eun Jo there.

I'm sure of it.

My gosh.

I really think something happened.

Hey. Fiery Pants.

The register will be a little short.

Wait. Five years ago, a few days before...

her wedding with Sun Hyuk, Eun Jo went...

to Ha Ra's vacation house for a bachelorette party.

Se Rin's school suddenly sent in a huge lettering order,

so Bo Mi couldn't go.

Did Se Rin do that on purpose to keep Bo Mi from going?

But why?

Did Ha Ra make her do it?

The truth is... I ran out of money for medicine...

and borrowed it from the register.

Forget that. I won't let this just slide.

I'm sorry, Fiery Pants.

- Cho Shim. - Hey, Soon Jung.

I have to find out what happened to Eun Jo...

five years ago.

Good thinking. Lead the way.

Let's interrogate the witnesses to start.

My gosh. It wasn't about me swiping money from the register.

Thank goodness.

Wait. Why are they suddenly talking about Eun Jo?

They'll find out what happened to her five years ago?

If the DDM Venus's launching show is a success,

Ga Heun... No.

Eun Jo is out.

Please get out of my life, will you?

Oh my gosh.

This brings back memories.

The World Wave Contest.

That's right. I got to study abroad thanks to Eun Jo's designs.

It's over now.

Se Rin. You've been through a lot the past five years.

You made it. You did great.

I can finally stop being insecure because I stole from Eun Jo...

to study abroad.

Oh my gosh.

What are you two doing here?

Se Rin. Why did you keep Bo Mi from going...

to Eun Jo's bachelorette party five years ago?

You know what happened to Eun Jo...

at that bachelorette party, don't you?

What are you talking about? That is so random.

World Wave Contest?

This is the award that you won as soon as Eun Jo died, isn't it?

Bo Mi said Eun Jo also entered this contest.

Yes, that's right.

Yes. When Bo Mi heard that you had won,

she said Eun Jo...

forfeited her interview to let you win!

She didn't let me win.

She gave up.

Eun Jo came to the interview and just left.

Hey. You have a great memory.

Then tell me.

What happened to Eun Jo five years ago?

Yes, Se Rin. Tell us.

Tell us what happened five years ago in Ha Ra's vacation house.

Hey, you. Give it to us straight.

You sent a lettering order...

for your school to our store...

and kept Bo Mi from going with you.

Seriously! I'm so sick of you people.

If you want to know so badly, go ask Ha Ra.

She planned the whole thing.

Take it up with Ha Ra!

What did Ha Ra plan?

What was it? What plan?

What else?

You know your daughter-in-law is a psycho, right?

She was like that from back then.

She wanted to kill Eun Jo's baby to steal Sun Hyuk from him.

That was why she planned the bachelorette party.

Bo Mi knows, Sun Hyuk knows,

and Eun Jo knows.

You must know that Ga Heun is Eun Jo.

What was that?

Ha Ra... Ha Ra did something that heinous...

to Eun Jo?

Soon Jung!

My gosh. Soon Jung! Soon Jung!

Hey. Soon Jung!

Mommy is sick.

Eun Gyul will punish the person who made Mommy sick.

I'll look after her. You go to Mom, Sun Hyuk.

She's in shock after finding out what happened five years ago.

Okay, I will.

Sun Hyuk.

Se Rin says...

Eun Jo...

was pregnant with your baby.

But...

Ha Ra...

Did Ha Ra really...

do something heinous...

and cause Eun Jo...

to almost die too?

Sun Hyuk.

How could this happen?

Ha Ra...

did something that horrible...

to split you and Eun Jo up.

I had no idea.

I was happy that my daughter-in-law was from Jewang Group.

Sun Hyuk.

What have I done to Eun Jo?

What have I done...

to my friend Soon Jung?

I...

That witch Ha Ra...

I'm going to rip out Ha Ra's limbs.

I'm going to rip them out and kill her.

- Mother. - I'll kill her.

That won't change anything.

My poor baby...

My baby.

Se Rin made Mom faint?

Yes. I think Se Rin told them...

everything that happened to you at the bachelorette party.

Eun Jo. Your mom...

seems to be in terrible shock.

She bawled and pleaded in front of me,

but this is how you repay me for my mercy?

The colors look great.

Okay. I'll select you to be the first batter.

You're honored to be my lead-off batter, right?

What is it? What are you doing here?

Why did you tell my mom about what happened five years ago?

Why?

Eun Jo... I thought you told her already.

What will make you shut your mouth?

What must I do to shut your mouth?

Why must I shut my mouth?

Eun Jo. I couldn't say a peep when I mooched off of you...

and walked on eggshells around your family.

My dad nagged nonstop that I had to so we wouldn't get kicked out.

That was why I wanted to beat you so badly.

I wanted to show you that I was better than you.

I'll become just like you tomorrow.

I'll be like you.

Fine. Destroy me properly.

Let me see how well you recovered...

from your twisted inferiority complex.

Do you think I can't?

You're not the only one who's gifted.

I am too. I, Ju Se Rin, am gifted too.

I'll prove it tomorrow, so see for yourself.

I'll show you that I can do it...

even without you.

Even without stealing from you.

Watch carefully.

Fine. You'd better do that.

Confront me confidently as you're doing now.

That way, I'll feel less bad for you.

Eun Jo.

You're scared, right?

I scare you, right?

You'll be shocked tomorrow when you see...

just how amazing I am.

Thank you everyone.

I, DDM Queen, have been reborn as DDM Venus.

Elegance.

Luxury. High quality.

What a beautiful evening.

I'm DDM Queen.

Se Rin, you're the best.

I can't believe this day actually came.

Let's see how the response was.

("DDM Venus Soars")

"DDM Venus soars."

"Gifted designer Ju Se Rin..."

"becomes a queen in the fashion world."

Gifted designer...

I really made it.

Servant. Congrats on your success.

Shall we meet now?

I guess she really did come.

My queen!

Where are you?

You're really here, right?

I'm here.

Where?

Ga Heun?

You came to watch the show too.

How does it feel now that you saw me succeed?

What's with this dress?

Why are you wearing the same dress as mine?

Why else?

Because I'm DDM Queen.

What?

Are you jealous of me?

I'm in a good mood today. I won't let you ruin it.

Leave.

(I'm you... And you're me.)

I'm you. And you're me.

Servant. How does it feel to succeed thanks to DDM Queen?

No. Was it thanks to Hwang Ga Heun?

No. To be precise, it was thanks to Ko Eun Jo, wasn't it?

You're...

You're DDM Queen?

No.

It can't be.

No.

That's right, Se Rin.

No matter how hard you try,

you're nothing if you don't steal from me.

Just as you were five years ago,

you're a thief who stole from me.

No... No.

No. No!

(Miss Monte-Cristo)

What happened on the runway?

You should've died five years ago, Eun Jo.

I must be the only DDM Queen.

All that's left for Se Rin is her demise.

Just imagining it is thrilling.

I had no idea Eun Jo was DDM Queen.

I gave Eun Jo all of that evidence.

- Mother. - You disgust me.

Hey, you! You killed Na Yeon...

and your daughter killed Eun Jo!

What? You found Madam Black? Where is she?

Duk Kyu, Ju Tae Sik is next.
