Lost Promise

Episode 17

Master Wei.

How,

how come you are still in the mood to read here?

Do you know what a mess it is out there?

What's so alarming, Chief Liu?

Magistrate Zhu

found Mei Yingxue

and Gong Zizai from the Foreveryoung City.

Now

they are investigating us.

If they keep investigating like this,

we won't be able to hide

this batch of fire thistles.

Don't panic , Chief Liu

Since they've made their move,

I have my own countermoves.

So,

you already have a solution?

Bring him up.

What does this man have to do with their investigation?

This man is Mei Yingxue's brother.

Mei Yingfeng.

Thank you both for your hard work.

Magistrate, you're welcome.

We shall see you.

Bye.

All right.

Take care.

Zizai.

I'll go back to Amberverde

and report the situation here to Jiang.

You can go straight back to the City.

I haven't forgotten you're buying me drink today.

Okay.

I'll prepare it for you after I get back.

Oka y, I'm leaving.

Go.

Kiddo.

It's impossible for you

to beat me with your current power.

I think you'd better go back

to warm the bed for me.

Don't be too complacent.

Not sure who should go warm the bed.

These two people

are showing off their love

in the name of martial arts training, right?

Lan.

When you are lonely,

who do you think of?

Who are you?

Yingfeng.

You're Yingfeng?

You're not dead?

That's great.

Great, brother.

You're finally back.

Brother.

I'm Xue.

Do you still know me?

Here you go.

Brother, brother, I want to eat it.

I don't want this.

I want a new one.

Take it first.

I'll buy you some more, okay?

Okay.

Brother.

Brother, what's wrong with you?

Don't you know me?

He won't answer you.

Who are you?

You' ve been looking for me, haven't you?

I'm Wei Xiao.

His current IQ

is equivalent to that of a few-year-old child.

So no matter what you ask him,

he won't answer you.

You' ve turned him into what he is now?

You're wrong.

It's not me.

It's you.

If he hadn't been taken away for you b ack then,

the person who lives your life now

would've been him.

Tell me your terms. What do you want?

You are smart. I like that.

If

you can help me lure Boye Jingxing out,

I'll let your brother go.

I can't.

I can't accept this offer.

No.

Father.

Mother.

Waking up from a nightmare,

and you'll realize that I'm actually very pretty, right?

You're awake?

Do you think I'm talking in my sleep

like you?

You heard it all?

Don't be afraid, Jiang Qingliu.

I'm here.

Whatever devils should retreat

when they face me.

You know

yourself pretty well.

Don't think I don 't know that you're being sarcastic.

I just had a dream about my parents.

I haven't dreamt about them for a long time.

Have you ever dreamed about yours?

Yingxue.

Yingxue.

Yingxue.

Yingxue.

I've never seen my parents.

Even if I dreamt of them,

I don't think I'd recognize them.

You've never even met your parents?

Ever since I can remember,

I've been studying martial arts with my master.

I don 't know what my parents do

and never called the m mom or dad.

Maybe

I just was born out of a stone.

Jing.

We have a little baby

now in your belly.

And when he is born,

he'll call me father

and call you mother.

We'll be

a family at that time.

With the last name being Boye,

what should be his first name?

Why is it called Boye?

Nonsense.

Of course my baby's name is Boye.

If you want a baby named Jiang, you can bear it yourself.

Brother Jiang

. Brother Jiang. Something's happened. The Yin-Yang Clan is attacking the Foreveryoung City. What? Yingxue. Yingxue. Brother. Brother. It's you. What ... What do you want? you want to come up? Yes. Why are

you coming up here?

I saw you playing up there.

I want to come up and play too.

That's easy.

Why don't you just squeak (say it)?

Squeak.

Good girl.

Why are you so childish?

Wait a minute .

Are you ready?

It's fun. It's fun.

It's so fun.

What's so fun about it?

Of course it's fun.

Because you brought me up here.

I can fly even higher.

Really?

Will you take me with you?

If you like it, I'll like it.

W ait.

-I want to throw up.-Wait, wait, wait.

Master Jing.

Jing.

Why don't you stay here?

No, I can't.

Now that kid Mei is in trouble,

how can I not save him ?

Are you sure you can do this?

Don't be so hesitant.

Look how worried

Gong Zizai is.

I say, why are you getting

more and more girly?

You've been with me for so long.

Yet you've made no progress at all.

Jing.

You are no longer

alone anymore.

You,

Boye Jingxing

are now my wife.

And you are carrying

our Jiang family's child.

You are a very important

person to me in my life.

Jiang Qingliu.

I am your wife.

But I'm also myself.

The child in my belly

is also my child.

Don't worry about it.

Go and save him.

All right.

I respect you.

But I have a request.

Just say it.

You must not do anything

unless it is absolutely necessary.

Sir.

Arrangements have been made from the Yin-Yang Clan.

Let's go.

Let's go.

Let me down.

Look at those guys.

Every move is a killing move.

They want to kill them both .

These two young men

can in no way handle it.

N o, Master Jing.

I promised master Jiang

not to let you down.

Then I will jump down myself.

Master Jing.

Master Jing.

What about the baby?

I can't care so much about

the kid anymore now.

Look.

The child's father is going to die.

Master Jing.

Why are you here?

Can you handle it without me?

Go back now.

Don't worry about me, I'm fine.

Careful.

Be careful.

Shoot.

Yingxue is in danger.

Zizai .

Go to Foreveryoung to check the situation.

But you...

It's okay.

We can handle it.

Go to Mei Yingxue's

and see what's going on.

Okay.

Don't go after them.

It's useless.

Are you okay?

Who the hell are these people?

They're the same squad that attacks the Foreveryoung City.

I don't know who let go the information.

Let's go.

Let's hurry.

All right.

Master Jing.

Are you still okay now?

Come on.

Come on, watch out.

Master Jing.

Jing.

Master Jing. Jing.

What to do now?

Look,

you take her back home first.

And I will go to Foreveryoung City alone?

Okay.

Go.

Master Jing, let's go.

Yuanqiu.

Yuanqiu.

Where did sh e go?

Why didn't she even leave a message?

Brother.

Do you still remember this place?

Ball.

Ball.

This is your room.

Ever since you left,

no one has touched your things.

Mom and Dad cleaned it well every day

because we all believed

you'd come back soon.

Then our parents were killed by criminals.

I was the only one left

in the whole Foreveryoung City.

I often dreamt of you.

I dreamt that you smiled at me

and then you told me

you were doing well.

I've thought of a million ways to meet you again.

But the only thing I didn't expect is that

you've become like this.

Brother.

Do you remember this?

Do you want to try it?

You do?

You remember it all?

Brother.

Have fun here by yourself for a while.

No matter what happens,

don't come out.

Mei Yingxue.

How dare you lie to me?

Old Master Jiang.

Magistrate, you came here with troops.

What do you want?

Old Master Jiang.

I've been informed

to come to Amberverde Mansion at midnight today

to investigate the case of arms smuggling.

Arms smuggling?

Magist rate Zhu, you've forgotten it.

We've talked about these things before.

Why would we do

something like arms smuggling?

If you want to investigate it,

you should be investigating the Yin-Yang Clan.

Old Master Jiang.

You know

I obey

the superiors.

Therefore,

I still hope that you can

cooperate with me.

Of course.

We have three generations

of Master of Wulin in our Jiang family.

We're all righteous.

We won't do anything to humiliate our family

or even

against the interests of the court.

Please go ahead.

Thank you very much.

Search it.

Yes.

Sir.

It's cold.

Go in and have a cup of hot tea.

Thank you, Old Master Jiang.

I'm on official business .

I don't want to disturb you.

Official business is business.

Courtesy is courtesy.

Please.

Lord Nangong is here.

Go over there.

I'll go this way.

Yes.

Don't you need to give me an explanation?

Zizai

What happened to your shoulder?

Are you hurt?

I'm not the only one who's hurt.

What's happening?

You don't know

what's happening?

Is it...

Is it serious?

Mei Yingxue.

We've been friends for so many years.

Don't you need to give me an explanation?

You needed swift aid.

And Qingliu and I ran into ambush

on the way here to save you.

Qingliu was worried that it was a trap set up by the emeny

and ask me to come here first.

He's afraid you can't get away.

What about you?

Yes.

I'm sorry.

You're sorry?

Do you know how many brothers we have lost?

I know it's too late to say anything.

But...

I don't want to hear anything.

I just want you to tell me

who the hell they are.

Why do they want to kill us?

It's

the Yin-Yang Clan.

Old Master.

Lord Nangong.

Excuse me.

How are things going?

We're searching Amberverde Mansion now.

If I'm right,

you're also here on official business.

To tell you the truth, Old Master.

A few days ago, I received a confidential report.

Someone said that Amberverde Mansion

is hiding arms.

You're just in time.

The Jiang family is innocent.

Not afraid of investigation.

Please come in for a cup of tea.

Master Jing, hold on.

We' re almo st there.

What's wrong with her?

Physical exhaustion.

Didn't you say her body was better?

How...

Have you ever seen a pregnant lady playing with fire?

What the hell?

Why am I back?

Where's Mei?

How is he?

You're always worrying about others.

Can you worry about yourself?

Myself?

Me? What's wrong with me?

I'm fine, aren't I?

Do you know you're pregnant now?

It's just a little baby inside me.

It's not a threat to me.

I'm

fearless.

Master Jing.

Don't try to be so brave.

Look at your hands.

When did my hands get cut like this?

Just when we were fighting.

This is not because of my power.

It must be Jiang Qingliu

who held me back.

He was protecting you.

Okay?

I don't need his protection.

Back when I was a great hero,

he was drinking breast milk.

All right, all right.

You're invincible.

Come on.

Put it on.

I wonder how

Mei is now.

Yin-Yang Clan?

It's actually the Yin-Yang Clan?

Mei Yingxue.

You're scary.

I'm sorry.

I'm really sorry.

All these years, did you treat Qingliu

me as your brothers?

Of course I did.

Then is what you did

deserves the name of a brother?

I really didn't expect that.

Mei Yingxue.

Good for you.

Zizai.

Actually, I...

I don't want to hear it.

Since you don't treat us as brothers,

I assume that all these years

we have spent is in vain.

But those brothers.

Those brothers who lost their lives

for your ridiculous words.

I, Gong Zizai.

I want to avenge their deaths.

Mei Yingxue .

Think I can't hurt you?

Kill me.

You think I wouldn't dare?

Yingfeng.

Yingxue.

Yingxue.

Xue. Xue.

Yingxue.

Yingxue.

Xue.

Xue.

Go away. You're a bad guy.

You hit Xue.

Go away.

You hit Xue. Go away.

Brother.

Don't cry.

Xue is fine.

Don't be afraid.

Yingxue.

What's going on?

Yingfeng...

Brother.

Don't be afraid.

I am fine .

But you're bleeding.

I will be fine after a rest.

Don't cry.

Don't be afraid.

I won't cry.

I won't cry.

Please have some tea, sirs.

I and Magistrate Zhu,

we're just following the rules.

Please forgive us

for disturbing you so late.

Don't say that.

The door of Amberverde Mansion

is always open for you two.

Feel free to search it.

Old Master Jiang.

You look so confident.

It seems that

you really have a good command of your family.

How can you say that?

Who is Old Master Jiang?

He was the leader of Wulin.

If he can't even manage his family well,

how can he make an example to the people in Wulin?

That's right.

What Lord Nangong said is very true.

Sir.

We found several boxes

of gunpowder in Amberverde Mansion .

They seem to be the same fire thistles that were smuggled in.

No way.

That's nonsense.

Is this really true?

Take me to see.

Yes, sir.

Yingxue.

What's going on here?

You're trying to save Yingfeng?

That's why you had an affair with Yin-Yang Clan?

Why are you so stupid?

He's...

He's the only family I have.

Then why didn't you tell me and Qingliu?

Why didn't you?

No, I can' t.

I can't.

Yingfeng.

They kept Yingfeng.

It's okay.

Don't move.

I'll go get the doctor.

I'll go get the doctor.

No.

Don't make a fuss.

I'm the one who made this terrible mistake.

I c an't live either.

Don't move.

Listen to me.

I'll listen to you.

Gong Zizai.

Listen carefully.

I'm listening.

For so many years,

I really treat you as a brother.

I know you' ve been loyal to me too.

You know

Yingfeng

has always been a concern in my heart.

I never had the chance to untie it.

I know it.

I know it.

After Yingfeng left,

I've always treated you like my own brother .

But

I took advantage of you,

I took advantage of your trust in me

to do something like this.

It's okay.

I deserve to die.

But

I still have a favor to ask.

Tell me.

Take care of my brother for me.

He is not like before.

He needs someone to take care of him.

I promise you.

I promise you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Xue.

Don't cry.

Brother.

Xue is not crying.

Xue is happy.

Brother.

Do you remember him?

He's Gong Zizai.

He always admired you the most.

He always followed you

when he was little.

You even called him the little follower.

Do you remember?

He beat you up.

He is a bad guy.

No,

he was just messing with me.

He's a go od guy.

The best guy.

If you can't

see me again in the future,

follow him.

Okay?

Promise me.

Yes.

And...

And the sword.

Keep it.

Use it well in the future.

Promise me.

Okay?

Yes.

Brother.

It's Xue's fault.

I made you suffer so much.

You were captured by the Yin-Yang Clan

and tortured like this.

Wei Xiao.

Wei Xiao.

Yingxue.

Yingxue.

You have to take good care of

my brother for me.

Okay.

Yingxue.

Yingxue.

Yingxue.

Yingxue.

I won't let you die, Yingxue.

Xue.

Yingxue.

Give me your hand.

Can you stop looking so sad all the time?

Your temperature is going up and down.

Your pulse is extremely unstable.

Get to the point.

I'm worried that you won't be able to keep the baby

with your current health condition.

I can't keep it?

How come?

Can my little baby

grow legs and run away by itself?

Idol, bad news.

Something big is happening.

What's wrong? What's wrong with Mei?

No.

It's the Jiang family.

They discovered

the Jiang family had hidden firearms.

What?

You can't go.

Lanshan Ke.

Fly to Foreveryou ng City and tell Jiang Qingliu.

Okay.

One last time.

Really?

For the last time.

After this time,

I promise not to meddle in anything anymore.

Master Jing.

I can't believe this is happening.

Yingxue.

Silly.

Silly .

You're so silly.

Why didn't you tell me?

You know well about

Yingxue's character.

He's always been like this.

He won't tell us anything.

He doesn't want to bother us.

Yingxue.

It's my fault for being a bad brother.

If I had

destroyed the Yin-Yang Clan earlier,

Qianli Grass.

How green.

Qianli Grass.

How green.

Qianli Grass.

How green.

Qianli Grass.

How green.

What about Mei Yingfeng?

Should we take him to Amberverde Mansion

and let him play with my future son?

I think

I'll never

interfere in the affairs of jianghu again from now on.

I'll take Yingfeng with me

in this Foreveryoung City

and stay with Yingxue.

Have you decided?

I 've been thinking about it for a long time.

Quit from Jianghu.

I'm a wanderer by nature.

But Jianghu

is too dangerous and dark.

In fact, it's not really s uitable for us.

But you have no choice.

Yingxue.

ended up involved in it too.

Only I

have

a little chance

to choose it.

Qingliu.

Please complete my wish.

I will.

All right.

Master Jiang.

Bad news, Master Jiang .

Master Jiang.

Something's happened at Amberverde Mansion.

Old Master Jiang.

What's your explanation?

How did this kind of thing

appear in Amberverde Mansion?

This is the fire thistle that was seized several days ago.

I have visited you several times for this.

I didn't expect it to be hidden in

the warehouse of Amberverde Mansion.

Get out of the way.

Let me take a look.

How dare you.

Who allowed you to come near?

Put down the candle. They're firearms.

Lord Nangong is quite knowledgeable about this.

The old master really has a good command of his family.

How dare a mere girl in your house

talk to me like that?

Why are you so nervous?

It's just a small box of gunpowder.

What's all the fuss about?

Jing.

Don't be rude.

Good for you.

Old Master.

Is this how you consider

the fire thist les?

Sir.

This girl

is Qingliu's concubine. Sorry for her manners.

I hope you'll forgive her.

I've never lowered myself to the same level of a woman.

I've never lowered myself to the same level of a man that...

Master Jing.

Since Master Jiang Qingliu is not here,

I'll have to ask the old master to go with us.

That's fine.

Get out of the way.

Lord Nangong.

Lord Nangong.

There must be a misunderstanding.

Jiang family must have been framed by someone.

I hope that you

you will look into it.

The young master came back at a good time.

I'll find out if it's a false accusation.

But right now,

I'm afraid you can 't get away with it.

Sir.

This is the drafted

arrest order.

Amberverde Mansion is now in possession

of gunpowder, and is suspected of

conspiring against the government.

Jiang Yintian, the head of the Amberverde Mansion

and the young master, Jiang Qingliu , will be now arrested.

I'll make a decision

when I find out the truth.

Wait.

Why are you taking Jiang Qingliu away?

The owner of this m ansion is Jiang Yintian.

Jing.

Don't talk nonsense.

I'm carrying your baby.

How can you leave?

Take care of yourself.

I will come back.

Old Master Jiang

You're so good at running your family.

Let's go .

Take care.
