Episode 14

Search this place.

This way.

-Captain Rong. -How is it?

I found nothing.

What about you?

I've looked everywhere.

There's no place to hold a hostage here.

Let's search the yard.

Basement, secret door.

Even the manhole cover!

-Yes. -Let's go.

Where's the other person?

Who?

It's just the three of us.

Three people eating four meals?

Are you bluffing me?

Let me ask you again.

Where's the other person?

Can't I have two servings?

Cuff him.

Wait!

Did I commit a crime?

Did I obstruct you in your investigation?

Why are you arresting me?

It's a law-governed society.

I'll report you!

I have thousands of followers on Weibo.

I'm not afraid of you.

Put your phone down.

Don't hinder us from doing our duty.

I won't.

Aren't you public servants?

I'll do you a favor today.

Let people see

how the people's public servants

strictly enforce the law!

It hurts!

-The officer is hitting me! -Stop!

Keep an eye on him.

Over there!

Stop!

-Stay and keep watch! -Okay!

Xiaowei, get in.

Thank you.

How nice.

Here.

Drink some water and calm your nerves.

Thank you for saving me.

How are you going to thank me?

Right now,

I'll consider you my boss.

You're too young to be saying that.

I'm not Mr. Dakun.

I want to know.

Why were you at that cold chain storage?

The cold chain storage

was Dakun's turf, wasn't it?

I went to claim the turf.

What's wrong?

That was Mr. Dakun's hideout.

You couldn't have possibly found it.

Every single one of his properties

belongs to the group.

Regardless of how well hidden it is,

it’s clearly written

on this receiving checklist.

How could I not know?

You're taking over the place?

You can't do that.

Mr. Dakun said

I'm in charge of that place now.

I was going to manage it myself.

You're quite ambitious.

Since you consider me your boss now,

I might consider

letting you take over the turf.

But before that,

I need to see how good you are.

Right.

Why would you end up

luring the police to that place?

Don't ask something you shouldn't know.

Look at you.

You just said I'm your boss.

And now, you're turning against me.

What's wrong? Are you hurt?

What's that smell?

What got on it?

Don't get me started.

In order to avoid the cops,

I knocked over several bottles of nutrient solution.

Darn it. Such bad luck.

You're quite an interesting man.

Are you keeping plants in the storage?

I can't keep any plants in that run-down storage.

It's not like you can keep someone in there.

I didn't say anything.

Xiaowei, be honest with me.

I just took over the turf.

I won't allow anything shady going on there.

Is someone in there?

Mr. Dakun told me not to say anything.

This is a secret between me and him.

A secret?

Surviving on the nutrient solutions alone?

This person must be very sick.

For some reason, he can't go to the hospital.

You can't let him die

and you need him alive.

This is not an ordinary person.

Stop asking.

No matter how many times you ask,

I have no answer for you.

Did Mr. Dakun capture him?

I don't know if you understand.

If he doesn't get the nutrient solution,

this person is most probably...

Are you saying that he'll die?

Don't panic.

It's not your fault.

Breaking the nutrient solution

is an unforeseen circumstance, right?

But...

You're afraid that you'll hurt him.

I don't have anything against him.

He has been tortured so badly that he's beyond recognition.

I feel bad for him.

How about this?

I'm taking over the turf now.

I don't want anyone

or anything shady going on there.

It will bring bad luck.

I'll get you some nutrient solution.

Let's go there together and rescue him.

But I gave Mr. Dakun my word.

I can't tell anyone where he is.

I know where he is now.

He's in the storage, isn't he?

I'm talking about the specific location.

I'm not afraid even if the police show up there.

Why?

I hid him well.

You can't even tell me?

How about this? I won't force you.

Since you won't let me in,

I'll just wait outside.

Go in there and get him out.

That won't do.

The police are watching.

Xiaowei.

I'm your boss now.

You must listen to me.

You only have these two options.

Choose one. Think carefully.

Don't you know

how to serve drinks to your boss?

Give it to me.

Where's the patient you mentioned?

I'm asking you a question.

Here it comes.

What's this?

Dakun designed this.

If something happens to Dakun,

the bomb will begin a countdown

and detonate automatically.

I don't know the passcode.

That’s why he's kept

in the container of this truck.

He'll be sent out in the morning and brought back at night.

On one hand,

we can avoid police surveillance.

On the other hand,

I'm also worried that this bomb

will detonate itself.

Tell me.

I have Zhao Nan's location.

But the cipher bomb is strapped to him.

I can't crack it yet.

I'll need some time.

You need to hurry.

We don't have much time.

Get the bomb disposal experts

and Rong Yao to be on standby.

Then wait for the right timing

to coordinate with me.

If I don't give the green light,

don't act rashly.

Or it will drive them up the wall.

If things go out of control,

we can consider storming the place.

That's the last resort.

Once implemented,

it means that your identity

is likely to be exposed.

I know. Don't worry.

Director Liu, I have to inform you.

The top-notch spy

the Provincial Public Security Bureau sent

to infiltrate Group K

can be deployed now.

His code name is Skylark.

Hello?

Hello.

Hello.

I need your help with something.

Greetings, Director Liu.

Self-discipline, Integrity, Upright, and Honorable

Director Liu.

Director Liu.

I'm busy.

There's an emergency.

What's the passcode?

You're quite efficient.

It seems I underestimated your abilities.

Cut to the chase.

What's the passcode?

The passcode is...

There are six digits.

Dakun.

Do you know what you're doing?

Do you know how serious the consequences are?

Do you think I care?

It's a deal.

I told you.

The deal is off

if I'm still locked up here

after three days.

It's not my fault.

If you put me in a place

where no one disturbs me,

maybe I can figure out the passcode.

You're not sincere at all!

You trash!

What's the passcode?

Let go of my mentor!

Say it.

Officer, you're still agitated.

The deal is off.

We're tied.

It's pointless.

We'll have to rely on ourselves now.

Sure.

All the best.

But let me warn you.

There's no room for mistakes.

Incoming call, Kexin

The subscriber you dialed is busy now.

Please redial later.

The subscriber you dialed is busy now.

Please redial later.

What is it?

What's the matter?

Can't I call you?

I missed you.

You're so lame. Don't you have anything better to do?

Are you still working?

You should rest.

Did you call just to tell me this?

What's wrong? Are you in a bad mood?

I'm calling to tell you

that your health is just as important as your work.

Strike a balance between work and rest.

You'd better go home now

and get a good sleep.

It will all be over once you wake up.

All right. I know.

Thank you.

Stop it.

No place to vent your anger?

You asked me here,

but you're not saying a word.

Is something bothering you?

You can say that.

Look at how things have panned out.

I can't change it even if I want to.

It bothers me.

Are you still upset because of Dakun?

Mr. Glasses, tell me.

Did those two little brats

bewitch Mr. Ou or something?

How are they able to have Mr. Ou

wrapped around their little finger?

Dakun's situation

has indeed upset Mr. Ou.

Dakun brought it upon himself.

What does that have to do with us?

Why do we get dragged into this?

Mr. Glasses.

As you know,

Dakun's business

concerns the future of our group.

How can we let

those two little brats ruin it?

As if you don't know.

Once Mr. Ou makes up his mind,

no one can change it.

That's right.

It's just killing me.

Tieguanyin is one thing.

She's all about money.

As for me,

I have my own business.

I have to run around every day.

I can keep my hands off this business.

But you're different, Mr. Glasses.

You've been there for Mr. Ou

at his beck and call.

Based on seniority, it should be you.

Why didn't you fight for it?

Are you able to just sit by

and not do anything about it?

What's the point of fighting for it?

They're father and son.

My relationship with Mr. Ou

cannot be compared to their relationship.

What father-son relationship?

Others might not know,

but we know the truth.

He's just Mr. Ou's pet dog.

If he's happy,

he'll wag his tail when given a bone.

If not, let it sit there and watch.

Who is he?

Because we don't have Mu Qing by our side.

Mr. Glasses.

That's interesting.

So...

it's better for the doer to undo what he has done.

Do you have a plan in mind?

It doesn't matter.

What matters is

if Mu Qing is willing to stay

being Li Ruosheng's strategist.

Do you get it?

If that's the case,

I'll have to devise a plan.

What took you so long?

I've been waiting for you.

Hold on.

You two, come here.

I'm talking about you.

Go on.

Run over. Don't walk.

What are you two doing here?

Are you trying to ruin my date with Mu Qing?

If you don't want trouble,

get out of my sight!

I'm sorry, Ms. Ou.

We have to follow orders to protect Mr. Mu.

That's interesting. Follow orders?

Whose orders?

Mr. Glasses said

that Mr. Mu is on a dangerous mission.

Mr. Glasses?

Go back and tell him

that Mu Qing is safe with me.

You two don't have to watch him.

What? You're still not leaving?

Should I call him and tell him?

Get lost.

Come on. Hurry.

It's all good now. Let's go.

Did I scare you earlier?

You drive.

Where's your car?

I'm hungry. Let's grab some food together.

Is this your car?

Come on. Let's go.

Sub by iQiyi & Ripped by skysoultan ♔ Follow @skysoultan on Instagram ♔

Why are you here?

We're brought together by fate.

We run into each other everywhere we go.

Why are you looking at me like that?

Are you admiring me?

What are you talking about?

I just don't get it.

If it was before,

you would ask what I was doing here.

You're different this time.

I think you have brain hypoxia.

Let's eat something to nourish it.

What hypoxia?

What are you talking about?

I'm starving.

Can you drive faster?

Waiter.

-A soy milk, please. -Coming.

Miss, here's your soy milk.

I always think

men who love to drink soy milk

are so cute.

Let's take a photo.

Look here.

Knock it off. Why are you taking photos?

I want to ask you something.

Why didn't you drive your car?

Who said I can only have one car?

I don't understand you anymore.

There's a lot

that you don't know about me.

Like what?

For example,

I love poetry.

"All the earth and air.

With thy voice is loud,

As, when night is bare,

From one lonely cloud,

the moon rains out her beams,

and Heaven is overflowed."

Do you love this poem?

If you know this poem,

we should be the same kind of people.

So...

So you are...

So I'm thinking

you should spend more time getting to know me.

Because once you get to know me,

you will discover that I have many good qualities

that you're not aware of.

You might fall even deeper in love with me.

Well...

I don't like this poem.

But I read it before.

You're overthinking it.

Are you a man or what?

I just confessed my feelings.

Don't you get it?

How lame.

Drink up, come on.

I'm a man, all right?

Here, have some food.

Don't just drink. It's bad for your stomach.

I'll take one.

Nice.

Thank you.

Hold on.

Where are you delivering the food?

To a cold chain storage. What's wrong?

How many portions?

What are you doing?

Police.

Please cooperate.

Meituan Food Delivery, Delivered within an hour

Your food is here.

What took you so long?

I'll file a complaint.

I'm really sorry. Here.

-What are you doing? -I'll carry it inside for you.

It's okay. Just give it to me.

All right.

What are you waiting for?

-Go now. Hurry. -All right.

I understand.

Yes.

The higher-ups said

that they have many major cases

related to Da Kun.

They need to question him right away.

And they want us to process

the transfer procedure at once.

No.

Dakun is the break

that we finally managed to get.

They expect us to hand him over now?

If we save Zhao Nan by force now,

we can't be certain that we'll succeed.

We might not be certain,

but the time left to save Zhao Nan is almost up.

There's no time to lose.

Yuanwen is working on it.

But the entire storage is filled with Dakun's men.

He said he could get close to Zhao Nan,

but he couldn't make it obvious.

Or it might blow his cover.

We'll suffer a bigger loss.

But I...

Handing over Dakun

is an order from the higher-ups.

Yes.

The Spirit of the Police Force, Cultivate the Public Security Image

Any new orders from Director Liu?

I'm talking to you. Can you hear me?

Rong Yao!

Hand over Dakun to the higher-ups.

Stop right there, Rong Yao.

Stop right there!

Why do the higher-ups want Dakun transferred away?

What are you doing?

I'm asking you. Answer me.

Didn't I make myself clear?

It's an order from the higher-ups.

Do you think I want him to be transferred?

What about my mentor?

We have a deal with Dakun.

The three-day deadline is almost up!

These are two different things.

Dakun's crimes are extremely serious.

We can't let him threaten us

and negotiate a deal.

What about Zhao Nan?

He has a family.

His kid isn't in elementary school yet.

-The time he spent with his family... -I didn't say I wouldn't save him!

How?

It's all up to us now.

Didn't we already have his location?

Besides, we won't get anything

out of Dakun anymore.

We have less than a day now.

Do you know that?

-We're working on it, aren't we? -Working on it?

You guys keep saying that. What have you come up with?

With every passing second,

he's one second closer to death.

Do you even care about his life and death?

Keep it together.

This is a police station, not a place for you to make a scene.

I'm going to the cold chain storage later.

Everyone is there keeping watch.

It's up to you if you want to come.

If you're feeling down, you can go home and rest.

But crying

isn't going to solve anything.

All right...

The passcode.

What's the passcode?

The passcode.

Xiaowei.

Mr. Mu.

Why are you calling me this early?

I just woke up

and saw your missed calls.

I asked a friend

to get some medicine for this patient.

The patient hasn't gone for a ride yet, right?

No.

The driver will be leaving soon.

I'll ask him to wait for you.

Okay, see you later.

Okay.

Poems of Shelley

The truck loaded with containers

has been parked in the yard since this morning.

We don't see any loading or unloading.

Also, based on the takeaway order,

there must be more than two of them

because they ordered food servings.

Why don't we search that truck first?

No.

If anything happens,

the hostage will be in danger.

Keep an eye on that truck.

If it comes out, stop it at once.

Okay.

Yunhai.

I'll go on the mission with you.

Come back soon.
