Episode 11

But we didn't expect

to find 70kg of drugs

in a small garage in Yungang.

If this 70kg of methamphetamine

finds its way to Yungang,

how many lives would be ruined?

Being addicted to such a drug,

how many happy families

would be separated and torn apart?

Drugs...

are the root of evil in this society.

And drug dealers

and drug-making criminals

are the cause of this evil.

They bring disaster to humanity

and would kill for money.

We must not tolerate such people.

I hereby announce

that every police officer in Yungang

will surely get rid of all drug dealers

and drug makers

that are hiding in this city.

We will not stop fighting.

We will arrest them on sight.

We will shut down

all their drug-making sites.

What are you cops doing?

I told you to arrest

Li Ruosheng and Mu Qing.

Why are you after me instead?

The police haven't caught them yet,

but they already called off the operation.

That's not a good sign.

What do you mean?

Are you saying

that the police let them go on purpose?

Whether or not the police purposely let them go,

I can't tell.

I only care

about my pork workshop.

You're different.

You're a public figure.

You should be more experienced

in handling such a situation.

Mu Qing has been with us

for over two years, right?

In such a short period of time,

he's already capable

of stirring up such turmoil.

If I say no one is backing him up,

will you believe that?

So...

I advise you to lay low for a while.

It's not too late

to plan it out.

What do you think?

Tell Dakun to come.

Sir, Dakun sent me a message just now.

He said the police are tailing him.

He needs to go into hiding for a few days.

He will come back when things have died down.

Stop this nonsense.

Within a week,

I must see him.

Surprise!

Hi, welcome home.

Here's your wine.

Why are you here?

There was a power outage at the studio.

Please take me in.

You mean

you're going to stay here again?

Just one day.

Please.

Please.

Kexin, this is my house.

Can you inform me in advance

if you're coming over next time?

You were all good yesterday.

Now, you go back on your word.

All right.

Xiaobai.

Thank you.

I guess I'll have to stay

in a hotel on my own.

Come back here.

You're the best.

I got hungry while waiting for you.

Cook me a meal, will you?

Please.

Where are you going?

I'm going to cook at Li Ruosheng's place.

Why don't you just cook here?

I have nothing in the fridge.

Less oil, less sugar, and no additives, okay?

Just wait patiently.

What a coincidence.

The moment Dakun left,

his garage was immediately shut down by the police.

They don't have a leader now.

What do you think?

Let's do something about it.

I don't think we should rush this.

Why not?

We don't know how long Dakun will be away.

If he comes back,

we won't get the chance anymore.

If we touch Dakun's territory,

how will you explain to your godfather?

Act first and tell later.

"Act first and tell later"?

If you do that,

what should I say to your godfather

if he questions me afterward?

You...

Dakun must have another plan.

He's only gone temporarily to lay low.

It won't affect his business.

I think we should stay calm

especially at times like this.

But we have to do something.

I'll think of something.

Where are you going?

I want to use your kitchen

to cook a meal for Kexin.

You have many ingredients, right?

Taking advantage of me to please her?

Cook for me too.

Garage turns out to be a drug dealer hideout,

revealing Yungang's drug dealers' background!

Here.

Less salt, less oil, and no additives.

Not bad, it looks good.

Do you train your cooking skill

with the ladies all the time?

That's not difficult.

I didn't need to season it at all.

It's good.

It will taste better with kale.

I want this.

This one.

And this one.

Plus fried rice with kale.

Kale?

How do we eat kale?

Let's not order that.

You don't know how good it is.

Fried rice with kale.

It's my own recipe.

What's wrong?

It's nothing.

If you like kale,

I'll get you some tomorrow.

Mu Qing.

If you want to rise to power in the group,

I can help you.

Helping you is like helping myself.

Because I want to get back what's mine.

You don't understand?

My mom and I had been hurt by my dad.

And he had hurt us gravely.

Don't look at me like that.

I know what my dad does.

A few years ago,

because of his business,

I was kidnapped.

A lot has happened.

You work for him,

so of course I know what you do as well.

Mu Qing.

You're not like Li Ruosheng.

You're a smart guy.

I'll help you get promoted

and you will overthrow my dad in return.

This deal

will make you gain either way.

So you want to take revenge on your dad?

"Take revenge" sounds too serious.

He's my dad after all.

Whatever it is you want to get back,

some things will never come back

once you lost them.

As for that,

I should know better than you.

Are you that confident

that I won't tell Mr. Ou about it?

It doesn't matter.

Go ahead and tell him.

Let's see if he believes you or me.

Looking at how confident you are,

what other options do I have?

This is all because you saved me.

Also...

You even brought me home

and cooked for me.

Why are you so nervous?

I've told you about my plan.

If you need anything,

remember to tell me.

How can I help you?

Help?

Well...

I never thought

I would see you in Yungang.

I would rather meet someone else.

-About Rong Yu... -I'm not here to talk about that.

I've been chasing after G3307 and Spectre.

I hope you'll cooperate with me

and lure Spectre out.

What's your plan?

I plan to use my newly formed task force

to help you make your way up to the upper management of Group K,

then earn Mr. Ou's trust.

Then we'll get to Spectre through Mr. Ou.

We think alike.

Okay.

That's good.

Rong Yao.

-About Rong Yu... -I will never forgive you

for what happened to my sister.

But in this mission,

you're still my partner, Liu Yuanwen.

You can trust me completely.

Mr. Ou wants to see you.

The boss has asked to see me.

I'm sure it's not about anything good.

I'm glad you know.

The garage got shut down.

You should at least give an explanation.

An explanation?

Why didn't you ask Mu Qing and Li Ruosheng

to give an explanation?

I'm helping you out here.

What's important now is that

you have to put out Mr. Ou's fire first.

How do I do that?

Give me some ideas.

Just apologize to him.

He'll definitely eat me alive.

Dakun.

You caused this mess.

You have to be held responsible.

That's all I can say.

Take care of it yourself.

Goodbye.

There's always a way out.

Who says there's no one to save me?

The savior is right next to me.

My little savior.

Have a seat, Mr. Dakun.

Look at this place. It's not bad, right?

Not bad.

But you spent a few hundred thousand on renovation.

You've been tricked.

My dad helped me with it.

Kexin, how's business?

You tell me.

The business is not going well

without your visit.

Yes, you're right.

I promised to visit you.

But I forgot about it.

I know you're busy.

I'm sure you've forgotten.

That's why I texted you to remind you.

Yes, look.

I also brought guests with me today.

Just the three of you?

This is just the first batch.

All right.

Let me take your measurements.

Don't bother.

You can just choose a few for each of us.

No, I only do custom orders.

Do you really have to measure?

Of course. It won't fit you otherwise.

Sure, go ahead.

Let's go get our measurements.

Mr. Dakun, this is a bargain for you.

You pay the same price,

but you get more fabric than anyone else.

It's mostly because of my big belly.

Sir.

Our suits are all handmade.

It will be ready in one month.

The total of your suits

is 488,800 yuan.

What? How much?

It's 488,800 yuan.

We will collect a 20% deposit first.

This is the bill. Please take a look.

Will you pay with a credit card

or by mobile payment?

Kexin.

How about we just make mine this time?

They have other suits to wear.

Let's not make theirs first.

But...

They always follow you to many meetings.

If they dress up nicely,

you will look good too.

Am I right?

Am I right?

Yes.

No.

Yes, that's correct.

Kexin is right.

Right?

I'll pay with credit card.

I knew it. Mr. Dakun loves me the most.

I'll surely tell my dad about it.

Then please put in a good word for me

in front of Mr. Ou.

Don't worry.

No problem. I will.

What are you doing?

You're playing with that stupid lighter again.

There's no end to this, is there?

I'm thinking.

This thing should go back

to where it came from.

We also need to let your godfather see it.

So you're saying

that we should give it back to Dakun

and let him bring it to my godfather?

That's right.

Do you think Dakun is stupid?

How is that possible?

Why not?

We caught and ripped off

a fat cow today.

Come and have a good meal with me.

I'm buying today.

Eat up.

Why are you looking at each other? Are you on a blind date?

Come on.

Let's put them all in.

Ms. Ou.

This is not how you cook beef slices.

This is how you do it.

Take them piece by piece.

Then boil them in the soup.

Did you see how much I ordered?

How can we cook them all piece by piece?

Just put them all in.

Don't leave until you finish them all.

You're kidding. This is a lot.

Tell me about it.

Who's the lucky cow

that got ripped off by you?

That fat cow, Mr. Dakun, of course.

He said he would come to my studio today,

so he came.

I ripped him off nicely.

It's 200,000 yuan.

You didn't see his face.

He got so pale.

He actually went there.

Dakun is famous for being stingy.

It's because he asked me for a favor.

I can't stop him from sucking me up.

Others might think

that you two are holding a grudge.

Who holds a grudge against him?

I would be a fool not to seize the chance

to rip him off big-time.

Well done, cheers.

Does that mean you will continue to do so?

What do you think?

Have you heard of rainbow cake roll?

Isn't that what I previously...

Just buy it and you'll know.

Aren't there only 500 of them a day?

First come, first served, and no pre-booking.

There is an event recently.

After buying a certain amount of it,

you can redeem

a limited edition teddy bear.

There wasn't such an event last time.

So you want to make Dakun

get you that teddy bear?

Getting the teddy bear is not the point.

The process is what matters.

I want him to line up for it himself

and participate in the event.

When he gets the teddy bear,

I'll have him send me home.

Will Dakun go home with you?

It's exactly what he wants.

When he goes back,

I'll put in a good word for him in front of my dad.

Then we're all good.

He treats me well after all.

Do you want to join us?

We're fine.

How boring.

None of you watched over the meat.

-They're overcooked now. -Come on.

-Hurry. -Here.

Mu Qing, eat up.

Mu Qing, take all of these.

I'll have some too.

Thank you for your hard work, Mr. Dakun.

It's okay.

Ms. Ou is really something.

She can even fool

the ruthless Dakun around.

Did you get everything ready?

Don't worry. It's done.

I'll line up for you, Mr. Dakun.

You're all sweaty.

Get lost.

Don't you see Kexin sitting there?

As long as she's comfortable and happy,

I'll do anything.

Go and stay in the car.

Hello, sir. How may I help you?

Quick, give me a rainbow cake roll and that teddy bear.

Sir, please calm down.

Our teddy bear is a freebie.

It's not for sale.

How do I get it then?

You need to buy more than ten rainbow cake rolls at once

to get that teddy bear.

Sure, give me ten of them.

Hurry up. Pack them up.

-How much is it? -It's 2,980 yuan in total.

What? 2,980 yuan?

Are those cake rolls made of gold?

This is a robbery.

Mr. Dakun.

What's wrong?

It's okay.

I'm paying.

-How much is it? -It's 2,980 yuan in total.

It's so expensive.

I should pay for it.

How can I let you pay?

-I'll pay. -Here.

-Payment is done. -Thank you.

Thank you, Mr. Dakun.

No, you're welcome.

It's only right that I pay.

-Go and get the teddy bear. -Okay.

About the free gift, there's another rule.

What rule?

Bend over some more.

Good job.

Good.

Look at how uncoordinated Dakun is.

He's doing his best.

Listen.

Put the teddy bear

together with their rainbow cake roll.

What about my pork?

Don't worry.

I'll give it to you when they leave.

Okay.

How can a bowl of noodles be enough

for so many people to share?

Where are the noodles?

The noodles are on the table.

Eat it while it's hot or it will get soggy.

I'm so hungry.

I guess I'll eat it in my dream.

Tracking

It's blinking!

Look, everyone.

This tracking device is working again.

Zoom in.

Zoom in some more.

This location...

It's in the direction to Mr. Ou's house.

Why are they going to Mr. Ou's house?

Have they figured it out?

No way.

You're saying

that Yuanwen is behind this incident?

That's right.

Yuanwen plans to use this tracking device

to make Mr. Ou be suspicious of Dakun.

If I were him, I would do the same.

I want to help Yuanwen.

How will you do that?

We should check with Yuanwen first.

This is what I think.

Why don't we play along with it

and split up Mr. Ou and Dakun completely?

Don't worry, Director Liu.

I'll act accordingly.

I will not hesitate when I need to act.

Go ahead.

That's what happened.

Dad.

Mr. Ou.

This cake is so good.

Mr. Dakun specially lined up to buy it for us.

It took him hours.

Dad, take this.

Try it.

And this one.

I love you.

I love you.

Isn't it cute? It's for you too.

Look at this.

It's the latest model.

Mr. Dakun had someone buy it for me.

Isn't it gorgeous? It's understated, yet luxurious.

It's my duty.

Don't be like this, Dad.

Mr. Dakun spent a lot of money.

Go and wait outside.

I have something to discuss with Mr. Kun.

I see.

Okay then.

I love you.

For the last few days,

you were busy over these things?

Mr. Ou.

Kexin finally came back from overseas.

As her uncle,

it's only right that I do these for her.

It's no big deal.

You're very close to Kexin recently.

You're so diligent that you forgot I'm your boss.

Did you forget what you do for a living?

No, Mr. Ou. I...

Explain this to me.

Garage turns out to be a drug dealer hideout,

revealing Yungang's drug dealers' background!

In our group,

no matter how much you've contributed

or if you have zero contribution,

there's only one rule.

No matter what,

we can never let anything affect our business.

I understand that, Mr. Ou.

I've already taken measures.

I have implemented our emergency protocols.

The police won't find anything else

other than that little bit of stock.

I will never let this incident

gets worse or escalates.

Dakun.

What is our relationship?

I always

remember those days

when we were fighting

alongside each other

and shedding blood together.

What you're in charge of now

is the most important part of our group.

No one is better than you at this.

Yes.

I need you. I can't do it without you.

Mr. Ou.

I get it.

I know what to do.

Get to work.

I hope

you can keep a close eye on him.

A lot has happened in the group lately.

I don't want anymore problems.

Let me see it.

I love you.

Dakun bought this thing?

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Captain Rong.

Their car is already out.

Copy that.

-Let's move. -Yes.

Let's go.

Police

Officer, what's wrong?

Let's go and have some tea.

The police are inviting me for tea?

It's a huge honor.

Did you do something bad?

You don't dare to drink tea with the police?

What if I refuse?

Do you think you have other options?

You're trying to arrest me?

Where's the evidence?

China is a country governed by law.

You need evidence to arrest someone.

Who says we're arresting you?

I told you, I'm buying you tea.

I want you to cooperate with our investigation too.

Okay.

I'm a law-abiding citizen. I'll cooperate.

I've shown you respect.

Get in the car.

Let's go.

He left with the police just like that?

As if they are old friends?

Yes.

So...

I think it is not that simple.

Tell me.

If Dakun really is the mole,

why would the police attack his turf?

Look at this.

What is this?

A tracking device?

It was hidden in this.

Do you think Dakun is up to something?

Maybe he made a deal with the police.

The police want to catch some big fish,

such as you and me.

Sir.

What should we do next?

Cut off every connection with Dakun.

Put away everything that he has in hand.

-Understood. -Dad.

What are you guys talking about?

What's wrong?

It's nothing.

Kexin.

I'll let you talk to your dad.

I'll get back to work.

Bye.

Are you in a bad mood?

It's okay. Take this.

They say that having sweet food

can lift up your mood.

This is the best cake in town.

Look. Isn't it pretty?

Let me feed you.

I'm not eating that.

Have a bite. Here.

I really don't want it, Kexin.

-I really don't want it. -No?

I will eat it then.

It's delicious.

Turn around.

What's wrong?

Turn around.

Come on.

What's with the long face?

The whole point of me coming back

is to cheer you up.

I hope you can retire soon.

We can travel around the world

and spend time together.

I'm so glad that you're here.

I'm happy even if I'm just staying home.

Now, you know how good I am.

What are you looking at?

Do we look familiar?

I've heard a lot about you, Dafeng.

Have some tea.

You invited me to the Public Security Bureau

to drink this kind of tea?

I'm not drinking it.

I want to see your superior.

If he doesn't want it,

I'll drink it.

Didn't you hear what I said?

I want to see your superior.

While you're here,

you don't get to make the rule.

We have our reasons for inviting you here.

You should know the consequences

of being in this business.

"Consequences"?

Are you threatening me?

I did nothing wrong.

Why are you arresting me for no reason?

You want to talk about rules? Fine.

When my lawyer comes,

he'll talk about the rules with you.

We wouldn't invite you here

if we didn't have any evidence.

Arrest warrant of Yungang Public Security Bureau

Zhao Ran.

I'll keep this for you.

I also have a surprise for you.

Zheng Ke.

Got it.

Take a look.

Mr. Dakun.

How have you been?

Xiaofoye, you're not dead?

What's wrong?

By right, I should be dead, right?

Justice will always prevail.

People in this industry will eventually need to pay the price.

When disaster strikes, run separately.

Isn't that our rule?

Confess for leniency

or you'll be punished severely.

Forget about those

whom you call friends or brothers.

In the end,

you're the one who bears the punishment.

Mr. Dakun, listen to me.

Cooperate with them.

That is our only option.

What do you think?

Are you surprised?

Captain Rong.

The suspect's lawyer is here.

He requests to meet the suspect.

All right. Thank you.

Okay.

Who told you to come?

Glasses wants me to tell you

that you should know what to do.

What do you mean?

Six words.

"Make the decision when it's time."
