[Ep 56]

It's graceful, and artistic conception is secular.

It's hermit Qingchuan's authentic work, Qingchuan.

Great.

Your Grace.

My father knows you love hermit Qingchuan's works.

So he finds the authentic masterpiece of Qingchuan across the country.

Your father...

Why does he tell you to see me with a gift?

He wants to befriend with you with the painting.

If you want to join us,

my father will do his best to keep your people rich.

You know why I love only hermit Qingchuan?

All ears.

He lives in seclusion from resignation.

This is exactly what I look forward to.

Because I can't do it.

I don't know what you mean.

I have been emulative for half of my life.

All I want is to be stoical, detached and indifferent.

You want exchange my city with your painting.

Yeah, I can understand.

But general Yu's swallow army is outside your fortress.

As far as I know, you can't outcompete him in military force.

So you want to see Jiangzhou become the battle ground?

Boy.

No matter who sent you here, I wouldn't find you troubles.

Go back and tell your father.

If you want to fight, I am happy to.

You can't take Jiangzhou until you walk over my dead body.

Walk him out.

So admiring.

Now it's the troubled times.

All countries that pledge allegiance to my country

can have prosperity and peace.

Just because of this, all the leaders

pledge their allegiance with the fortress.

If you insist, people will suffer.

I stand up for the people for half of my life.

But now Jiangzhou is at stake in my hands.

San.

Will my decision be harmful to the people?

Is here Wangchen ridge of Yongle mountain?

Exactly.

Such a good Wangchen ridge.

From here, I can see the streets and alleys in Jiangzhou.

I can see the smoke from kitchen chimneys and hear cock crow.

It's the people's life.

It's far from the city.

But it is the closest to the city.

Yes.

More than ten million of people come to Wangchen ridge.

All they want is the breeze, chirps and rustles.

But only you like the earthly life.

You are benevolent with the people.

I have a good friend today now.

If you don't know the earthly life,

you won't know I am concerned about earthly life.

I come from the earthly life.

And I quite enjoy it.

As the saying goes,

a real hermit lives in the bustling place.

Many undiscovered talents live in the bustling cities.

You are quite like a hermit.

Flattered.

It's all the human kind things.

I would be an outcast instead of a hermit.

So you are concerned.

But things are like clouds, come and go.

You are so chic.

Why are you so melancholy?

I don't want to.

The dark clouds over Jiangzhou are overwhelming.

I think the world is like the sky.

The pessimists think it's demon's making waves.

The optimists think it's a good society.

It's just the vicissitudes of fortune.

It's unavoidable universal rule.

Universal rule.

Jiangzhou is an important fortress from ancient times.

It witnesses many changes.

It's so prosperous now.

What kind of purgatory will it go through?

So it's universal rule?

No.

All feudal lords fight for the throne in the world.

But the world belongs to the people.

People will support the ethical monarch.

Otherwise they will abandon him.

And the throne will be handed over generation after generation.

This is the universal rule I mean.

Throughout the ages.

All the thrilling undertakings and dominance become the history.

So those who use all armed might to

indulge in aggressive wars will not win.

Only the people's heart matters.

Many warlords know nothing but the wars.

Actually people's heart is the most important.

I think ony the ruling class needs to know this best.

I am glad to have a nice talk with you today.

Unfortunately, we have no wine here.

Qingchuan's poem writes,

Wine can save people from sorrow.

Can I have an agreement with you?

Say it.

After one day the country is peaceful for good,

You and I will climb to the top of Yongle Mountain again.

We will drink up ok?

A deal.

Father.

Jiangzhou pledges the allegiance to our country.

They offered the military force of Hufu and treasures.

Because you are compassionate that you don't declare the war.

I see him right.

Shi Qingpei.

Here is my decree.

Zhang Zhiyan will be Taipingxian duke because of his allegiance.

He will continue to take charge of the city.

Yes.

Father.

We just get Jiangzhou.

Why do return it now?

I don't understand.

Your Majesty.

Jiangzhou is easy to defend but difficult to attack.

He will rebel with his own army.

Your Majesty, reconsider.

Jiangzhou is an important pass since ancient times.

The most prosperous place in Jiangnan.

Zhang Zhiyan loves people as his children.

He has a good reputation in Jiangzhou.

He should work for me.

And who can outcompete him in

running Jiangzhou among my officials?

Yes, you are right, father.

I think he won't fail you.

Feiqing, you should take the credit for Jiangzhou's allegiance.

Well done.

You will be the secretary of our country.

You will take in charge of diplomatic affairs.

Thank you, father.

I won't fail you.

Get up.

Without Feibai and Zhang Zhiyan's kindness,

Jiangzhou's allegiance won't be so smooth.

Feibai is quite like a king.

Thank you, father.

So father is going to name Feibai as the crown prince.

But, brother Feiqing, aren't you angry?

This is what you asked me to find.

This is a pair of glazed pot.

I saw it in my father's very secret cabinet.

At that time I was curious.

I wanted to take it out and play.

But father stopped me.

Father said, he locked it so it wouldn't appear in public.

Father told me to keep the secret.

I have never seen it again after Hua's cove's destruction.

Jiangzhou is rich in glaze.

And Yuan Qingjiang likes glass most.

You need to put them in the treasures of Zhang Zhiyan's tribute.

Yuan Qingjiang will keep them.

One in imperial study and one in the bedroom.

Yes.

Zhang Zhiyan is conferred with the rank of Taipingxian duke.

Jiangzhou will be in your charge.

The new emperor is quite interesting.

He thinks Jiangzhou is prosperous and you are complacent.

So he gives you the title of duke.

Whatever.

Wine can save people from sorrow.

As long as Yongle Mountain is unchanged, Jiangzhou will be peaceful for good.

Jiangzhou is a good place with talents.

It's true.

This is such a fine piece.

I recently listen to the clangs.

My heart is more peaceful.

How's the purple mine?

Your Majesty.

I have searched the workshop near Xidu with darkmen.

But didn't find it yet.

So secretively.

Keep looking.

Yes.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

Are you all right?

Your Majesty.

Wait.

What did you put in my bowl?

Nothing.

Nothing.

You poisoned my bowl.

I am innocent.

Guards.

Take her out and rod her to death.

I am innocent.

I am innocent.

All the ministers have preferences.

I have told you to prepared the gifts for them, how's it going?

Minister Li and assistant minister Zhou accepted the gifts.

Only premier Liu returned it back.

Throw a stone to clear the road.

Minister Li and assistant minister Zhou are on my side.

But premier Liu is on Yuan Feibai's side.

Well.

Send some gifts to the household and defense departments tonight.

And apart them the important officials.

I need to make some folk rumors for the emperor.

The naming of crown prince.

The little prince is young.

I think the emperor will doubt you.

Who told you I would recommend Feiliu?

Your Majesty.

Crown prince is the foundation of the country.

Now the country is stable now.

We think it's the time to name the crown prince.

Your Majesty.

I agree, in which way, we can settle people's mind.

I don't know who you recommend.

Your Majesty, prince Jing has many military achievenments.

And he is benevolent.

He has the talent to govern the country.

We want to recommend him.

Your Majesty.

Folk streets are all singing.

We need a new uprising sun.

So it's a good time to name a crown prince.

If we name prince Jing as the crown prince,

we can secure our country.

We just found our country for one year.

Lord Jing is so popular.

All the officials and people love him.

Prince Jing is such a good prince.

Father.

Mr. Snow is famous all over the world.

And he is the world's richest businessman Jun Mowen's friend.

Now he has the support of all the officials.

Congratulations, father.

We have such an ideal successor.

Our country will last long.

Father.

Father, you are in the prime.

I hope you can take care of yourself.

I don't want to steal your thunder.

As I know, Yuan Qingjiang has doubts about Yuan Feibai in the hall.

Your money is well spent.

Speaking of money,

if I remember right,

The government will distribute money

to Rong's store for its operation.

You mean...

Cheer up.

We are escorting the government's principal to Rong's store.

It can't go amiss.

Understand?

Yes.

Shopkeeper Qi.

We are the imperial business.

No mountain bandits will rob us.

Yeah...

Stop, protect the wagons.

Who are you?

To kill you.

Take the money away. Go.

Yes.

Come with me.

Thank you for your help.

I won't forget it.

I am Feibai and Rosemallow's friend.

I knew you would be in trouble.

So I am here.

I didn't expect I was still late.

You know who is plotting against Rong's store?

She is not intentional.

Don't worry.

I will give her the punishment she deserves.

I will get money back.

Who?

Get well soon here.

Leave the rest to me.

Tell me.

Who?

Rong's store is the imperial enterprise.

Usually the bandits would stay away from us.

But now they robbed us of money.

Correct.

It's someone's conspiracy.

Now we don't know where Qi is.

What should we do?

So strange.

In the peaceful world, who will rob the imperial wagon?

There must be a catch.

Rosemallow.

Don't worry.

Qi Fang is kungfu master.

He will be all right.

Yes.

God bless him.

We give all our profits to the treasury each month.

At the beginning of next month, they will give us the operational money.

But now we have no enough money.

Rong's store can't live without the money.

We should pawn our valuable items.

And send the money to our branches.

Ok.

Let alone I am the emperor's concubine,

it's immoral for you to break into a woman's boudoir at late night.

I saved Qi Fang.

If you hand over the purple mine

and give the money back to Rong's store,

I won't hold you accountable.

Otherwise I will take Qi Fang to see father.

I will tell him all your evil deeds.

I said it and I mean it.

You won't let me go if I don't do as you say.

But I put the purple mine in a secret place.

I need to take you there personally.

Well. Are you afraid?

Ok.

Let's go.

Move sword away from my neck.

Otherwise I can't dress up.

Hurry up.

I knew it.

Why?

Why do you want to take those things that don't belong to you?

Yuan Feibai.

His name is Sima Ju.

Yuan Feibai's twin brother.

The biggest secret of Yuan family.

Qi Fang is not dead yet.

You didn't fully recover.

You can't take Qi Fang far.

If I guess right,

Qi Fang is nearby the incident site.

Am I right?

So sorry.

Please go back.

We need a few more days.

Sorry. -Go...

Cuihua.

How much money can we get from the pawn?

Sir, it's only enough for the salaries.

We have no principal to purchase goods.

In 15 days, we need to give the government our profits.

The head store has some wine and jade.

Distribute them to the branches now.

And we can sell it at a lower price.

Within ten days, we can finance the hole.

But it takes fifteen days.

Besides, we can't sell them all.

Boss Jun.

Brother Zhang.

Yoyo.

Your Rong's store business is good.

A group of debtors go.

Another group of debtors come.

How can you make this?

Brother Zhang.

I want to have a word with you.

Brother Zhang.

It's so rare that you come to the capital.

But I am in a trouble.

I have no time to show you around.

I will entertain you when I have the time.

Well.

After I have the title, you think I have much free time?

Brother Zhang.

I don't want get you involved.

I'm so scared.

After husband knows you are in trouble,

he takes me here right away.

Master has many friends.

He finds you a convenient transportation channel.

He even has the buyers.

They are waiting to buy goods in Rongs store.

Mr. Jun, just leave the goods to us.

Really?

Guess.

You are still here.

You have two options.

Scapegoat Rosemallow with embezzlement.

Or die.

It's your choice to make.

It was you that day.

Who gave the two options?

The girl you liked when you were little.

Hua Jinxiu.

Jinxiu.

Jinxiu.

She is the emperor's woman.

She is the only woman who dares to hit me.

Hua Jinxiu, don't run, stop.

Give it back.

Lend it to me for two days.

Your eyes are so great.

I don't want to kill you.

But I am sorry.

This is my task.

In this world, no one can kill immortal Jingu's apprentice.

Tell Jinxiu.

Her sister loves her.

Your Highness.

Task is completed.

Qi Fang is dead.

Did he feel painful?

He committed suicide.

Very peacefully.

He said.

No one can kill immortal Jingu's apprentice.

Who is it?

Who killed Fang?

I must make him pay.

We have no clue of the killer.

Fang.

Don't worry.

Even if I die, I will avenge you.

Stand up.

More training.

It's almost the time.

Yes.

You go first.

Husband, it's so late, you don't go back.

What are you doing here?

Who were you talking to just now?

Your birthday is coming.

I told him to prepare the banquet.

You spotted me.

Really?

I will cerebrate your birthday well.

What gift do you want?

Give me a painting of you.

When you are away,

I can see you every day.

Ok.

I will give you whatever you want.

I worked for Ming family.

I am the spy lurking in Purple Garden for many years.

Your Majesty, don't be surprised.

I can give you more surprises.

Confront Song Minglei.

Do you dare?

All I am afraid of is that Song Minglei won't confront me.

Chen.

Tu.

That's a deal.

I will leave the goods of Rong's store to you.

Without your promotion, I won't be the minister of

salt and iron transportation.

Rest assured.

We have a firm friendship.

We will help you, I can guarantee you.

Much obliged.

But minister Chen.

You are the official.

Brother Tu, you have your group.

Now I am an official too.

If others know what we are doing here,

it's like bureaucrats shielding one another.

Officials collude with bandits.

Don't worry.

We will keep the secret.

You have my word.

Ok.

Cheers.

That's all for today.

It's not a place to stay.

See you next time.

You are so rescourceful.

You have friends from all walks of life.

These goods will go to Rong's store in 5 days.

You have found buyers for them.

The problem of Rong's store is solved.

All the streets sing,

we need a new uprising sun.

Sun is Feibai.

So this is what they want?

I really should abdicate.

Rumors are rumors.

Your Majesty, don't take it seriously.

I also felt this way.

I win the country on the battlefield.

Feibai will govern the country.

Now, we just build the country.

It's a new country with opportunities.

We have established the trade with the neighboring countries.

But now locusts come.

Mosts of lands are wasted.

Every time I think about it, I feel so worried.

I didn't expect Feibai would be so eager for the throne.

What do you want?

Your Majesty, your health matters.

Even you think I am going to die?

No, your Majesty.

I am sorry.

Actually, I decided long ago to give him the world.

But he is so impatient.

He tries to provoke public opinion to coerce me.

I regret trusting him for many years.

Your Majesty.

Your majesty, the imperial concubine is coming.
