[Ep 52]

The whole Purple Garden knows you are going to name your heir.

It's Feiqing or Feibai.

Hua Rosemallow is very close to Nanguo.

I hate to believe that Hua Rosemallow wants

to scapegoat me for Feibai.

Indeed.

Except the dagger, I can't find more evidence for your conviction.

But the truth will come out.

For what's worth.

I have to demolish you as Sheren.

And have your grounded.

Father.

Lord has no solid evidence.

But this is a good opportunity to demolish second brother.

Second brother, don't blame me.

All because you marry Yuan Qingjiang's only daughter.

She is so arrogant and imperious.

My good second brother, I also know you will betray Rosemallow.

Look.

Cut these two.

The whole basin comes back to life now.

It cuts Song Minglei and Hua Rosemallow.

And it sows discord between the lord and Yuan Feibai.

Now the lord is doubting everyone.

So the heir has to be put on hold.

Four birds with one arrow.

You are so smart, ma'am.

Now Yuan Qingjiang is supposed to see my sister.

A good show begins.

I am here because I want to know why

Nanguo's Duan knows cicada slough.

Father.

Actually, that cicada slough...

Let her tell me.

Father.

I get cicada slough by accidental.

I did all these because I care about Nanguo.

But I establish Nanguo's friendship for Yuan family.

How much do you know about purple mine?

Sima Ju told me and Feibai about purple mine's secret.

But we swore, we would keep the secret.

I didn't expect the secret's still revealed.

As I know, the culprit wants to master

the method of purple mine refining alone.

And the maze in the dark palace is complicated.

His killer can't figure the maze out.

You suggested everyone to see the lanterns.

He could know so many secrets.

And could seize the opportunity to kill everyone.

I think he is very close to you.

What do you think of it?

Fair enough.

When I proposed the suggestion,

only me, Feibai, Sima Ju and some darkmen were there.

I know you are doubting me.

But I just get married.

How can I do bad things to Feibai?

So I guess, the suspect was lurking in the dark palace.

So who know the dark palace except us

in Purple Garden are the culprits.

Yuan Qingjiang will go back with nothing.

He doubts sister.

But Nanguo's clothes can't be the evidence.

My killers could get away with it.

This matter will be unsettled.

Why do you bother to scapegoat Song Minglei and Hua Rosemallow?

Lord will doubt sister more when he can't find the criminal.

Yuan Feibai is partial to sister.

Discord will arise between father and son.

You want to live a peaceful life, right?

I will sabotage it.

I thought I would be happy.

But I am not happy at all.

One is my second brother.

One is my sister.

I know I am wrong.

And more and more wrong.

Why are you still following despicable me?

You have suffered a lot.

In my eyes, it's not absolutely good or absolutely evil.

No matter which way you choose, I will be with you.

Keep you safe.

If only he knows me just as you do.

The man behind the purple mine case is so vicious.

We and Duan Yuerong are scapegoated.

Even the second brother is implicated.

Now it's the key time for the heir.

Under such circumstances, only one can benefit from this.

Jinxiu?

Yes.

It's more than a hundred lives.

I am her sister. I still can't stop her.

You think she will listen to you?

She killed so many people.

Feibai, you don't hate her?

She is your sister.

And my brother loves her.

She goes the wrong way because of Yuan family.

She is pitiful.

Rosemallow, I will help her with you.

You did that right?

You didn't tell the lord, right?

Thank you.

We are even now.

Yesterday everything's fine.

Why are you demoted now?

And he has you grounded.

No.

I want to ask him before he leaves.

Feiyan. -My husband...

Didn't upset him.

Feiyan.

You will make it worse if you go now.

Forget it.

Look.

It's so good now.

At least I can be with you every day.

Feiqing.

Protect Xidu well.

Yes.

This is the last battle.

Take down Dou and Dongting.

Take down Dou...

Father have my husband grounded.

He even takes Yuan Feibai to win the battle.

Brother, you are here in Xidu.

Father wants to abandon us.

Father will conquer Dongting this time.

So it means he leaves Xiting to us.

If we can help him ascend the throne after he comes back,

we can turn the table.

Lord's expedition means the doomsday of Dongting.

Xuan Fuche is afraid that the lord might force him to abdicate.

He might take some precautions.

Imperial concubine is our ally now.

We have Fengde army.

If we capture Xuan Fuzhen and

obtain imperial jade seal at this time,

and help the lord ascend the throne after his victory,

we will make a great contribution to Yuan family.

Father.

Yuan Qingjiang is going to occupy Biancheng.

If Dongting dies, no one can balance him.

I am afraid the moment he comes back,

he will force you to abdicate.

What should we do now?

I have a fundamental solution.

Intelligence.

Yuan Qingjiang goes back to the camp.

Premier.

Yuan army has 100,000 cavalrymen.

We only have 30,000 soldiers.

If they attack us...

Kill those who disrupt the morale.

Here is my order, protect Biancheng till death.

Yes.

Go.

Jiang, are you afraid?

You are the only king in my eyes no matter what.

Yuan Qingjiang fights so hard for the country.

To protect Yuan's family and Purple Garden from Dou's harm,

the emperor wants to invite Yuan's family to live in the palace.

And come to the capital immediately.

Thank you.

Long live the emperor...

Take it.

Ma'am Ziyi.

Please enter the palace as soon as possible.

So great to enter the palace in public.

We need to obey the decree.

You need to pack up all you things as soon as possible.

The so-called protection.

The hostages are what he wants.

Father.

Father.

Yuan's family are here in the palace now.

I send the guards to protect them.

Just to make it foolproof.

But it's just an expedient.

So what do you think of my advice yesterday, father?

Three birds with one stone.

A good advice.

Xu, just call Rosemallow here.

Yes.

The crown prince is so thoughtful and sophisticated.

He has such a vicious plot against Yuan family.

Why do you tell me this?

Xuan Benxu is cruel.

He can kill his brother.

I won't let him be the emperor.

What if someone else takes the throne?

I don't care who is the emperor.

I even know you are paving way for Yuan Qingjiang's usurpation.

And you can have some reward.

I only care about what I want.

So what do you know?

How can you enter the imperial palace?

Since I take charge of Jun's intelligence network,

we have our men in the palace.

I have a lead.

The emperor and his son are setting up a trap for you.

Without further ado, leave with me.

Wait.

Trap?

Who is your opponent in Yuan family is none of my business.

Who rules the world has nothing to do with me, either.

All I ask is those three things.

First.

Get rid of Xuan Benxu to avenge Benxiao.

Second.

The emperor can abdicate.

But you can't kill him.

Because he helped me.

Third.

I need to live happily for the rest of my life.

You should promise me one thing.

What?

You need to get the imperial jade seal for me.

Ok.

Well, I am relieved now.

Xuan Benxu has an exhaustive plan.

If one link goes amiss, he will lose totally.

And I can help you get what you want.

Without further ado, leave here with me.

Fang.

If it's true, I can't go.

Are you crazy?

It's dangerous here.

It's a good opportunity to help Feibai.

I can't leave.

I should stay and do something big.

Second brother and Jinxiu are supposed to take action now.

If I am imprisoned, they will relax their vigilance.

What will you do, ma'am?

Countermine.

Xuan Benxu wants to poison, right?

Just let Xuan Fuchen die in front of Hua Rosemallow.

He won't get away with it when we have the evidence.

After the lords takes the throne,

Hua Rosemallow won't be Yuan Feibai's legal wife

for her poisoning former emperor.

What will you explain it to imperial concubine Li?

What's done can't be undone. The explanation won't be necessary.

I can help her get rid of Xuan Benxu.

I don't believe she doesn't cooperate with me.

Xuan Benxu and Xuan Fucheng, two idiots.

They want to lead Yuan family into the urn

with brother Feiqing and princess Shuyi.

What a pity.

So what's your arrangement, sir?

Go to meet Feiyan with brother Feiqing.

I will countermine.

It's a Godsend chance.

I will take the throne ahead of Yuan Qingjiang.

He will see the country he fights hard for belongs to Ming.

Congratulations.

Gather all troops instantly.

Go to the capital and imperial palace and wait for my order.

Yes.

Wang Hu.

Yes.

Be my imposter and stay here.

Remember, it can't go amiss.

Yes.

Kill.

They are coming in.

Biancheng is occupied.

We will move Dongting to ground.

Go.

The emperor gives a decree.

The emperor feels unwell.

And he summons prince Zhenjing to be his entourage.

Guards.

Guards.

Guards.

Guards.

Intelligence.

Your Majesty, bad news.

Bad news.

Yuan Qingjiang broke into Biancheng, and he is coming for us.

Where is premier? -I don't know.

I don't know.

Premier.

Premier.

Premier, you are here to save me, right?

Go.

Let's go.

Dou Yinghua.

You should take the responsibility for the lost Biancheng.

I order you.

Take me out of here now.

Premier.

Premier, save me.

I don't want to be the emperor.

You told me to be the emperor.

You need to save me now.

What are you doing?

What are you doing?

Help.

Help.

Guards.

If your imperial guards hadn't abandoned Biancheng,

how could Yuan Qingjiang capture it so easily?

We suffer heavy casualties.

How can I allow you to slander me?

Bastard.

I tolerate you for so many years.

I kill you today. Hard luck.

Long live the emperor.

Jiang.

Come here.

Jiang.

You should go.

Go?

Where should I go?

Feiyan.

Husband.

Sister.

Brother.

Now rumors about brother and your wife

are everywhere in the whold palace.

Feiyan, don't worry.

It's Xuan Benxu's trap.

We are here to sabotage it.

You should do as I say.

Father can ascend the throne as soon as he returns.

Take care of brother.

I have something else to do, and I will come back soon.

Go.

Yes.

Princess is here.

What are you waiting for?

Yes.

Your Majesty.

Wish you healthy.

You are princess Zhenjing.

In my eyes, you are like my own daughter.

Sit here.

Thank you, your Majesty.

A special medicine in the cup.

After drinking, you will have the symptoms of poison.

But it won't harm your health.

But Hua Rosemallow will be accused as kingslayer.

I will be waiting outside the door.

Rumor has it that princess Shuyi wants to seize the power recently.

I am upset about it.

I know, you are resourceful.

So I invite you here to analyze the situation.

Your Majesty.

Yuan family is loyal to the country.

We all know it.

You can't trust the nonsense.

Someone is sowing discord.

Fair enough.

You.

Your Majesty...

Your Majesty...

Your Majesty.

Send for the doctor.

Hua Rosemallow poisons the emperor.

Send for the doctor.

Send for the doctor.

Hua Rosemallow poisons the emperor.

Send for the doctor.

Hua Rosemallow, how dare you!

Hua Rosemallow.

You are poisoning the emperor.

Guards, take her down.

Yes...

How is my father doing?

Your Highness.

The emperor is poisoned with white arsenic.

He died.

Here is my order.

Announce this, that Hua Rosemallow killed the emperor.

And Yuan family will be implicated.

Put her into prison.

Yes...

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

The emperor died.

Your Highness.

Hua Rosemallow killed father.

Yuan family is going to kill all the Xuan family.

They will help Yuan Qingjiang ascend the throne.

Your Highness.

You can't take the throne.

You will die if you ascend the throne.

Yeah...

The one who kills father will kill me.

Enemies are in the dark.

Don't let others know father died.

We should keep us safe and get out of here.

Correct.

You go back and pack up your things.

We should escape before Yuan Qingjiang returns.

Fangzi.

Yes.

Write down all the people's names here.

If one of you tells this to others,

I will eliminate all your family.

Yes.

Don't panic.

It's Yuan Qingjiang's conspiracy.

I will lead Yuan Qingjiang here and kill him.

You should do according to my instructions.

Yes.

What?

The emperor died?

Yes.

Ma'am.

I planned to kill the emperor and scapegoat

Hua Rosemallow before she came in according to your order.

But someone else poisoned the emperor's tea before me.

Great.

Someone takes action before us.

Dou Yinghua.

You're so dead.

Stop dreaming anymore.

We welcome the new emperor today.

The invader will die.

Xuan Jiang.

Weapon down.

Surrender now.

You think you can be the emperor?

Dou.

Today I will behead you.

Watch this.

Dongting died from today on.

You promised me to keep the emperor safe.

Why did you kill him?

You are oversentimental.

I have nothing to do with his death.

Now the entire harem has been blocked.

Why do you know the emperor's death

so soon and come to me?

I know, you can do anything for Yuan family.

Except you, who would be so bold?

I said it's not me, and I mean it.

The emperor died.

The emperor and the crown prince have no imperial seal jade.

The emperor loves you most in the harem.

I think you know where the jade seal is.

Please give it out.

I didn't expect the one I helped would be an evil tiger.

How can I know where the imperial jade seal is?

I said, I didn't kill the emperor.

If you don't give me the seal, I will kill you.

Guangqian.

I found a confidential intelligence.

Hua Rosemallow poisoned the emperor and he died.

Our family are guilty now.

Everything is changed overnight.

What should we do now?

Feiyan, don't worry.

I poisoned him.

What?

You did?

Hua Rosemallow can be imprisoned only when Xuan Fuche dies.

Yuan Feibai is in Biancheng now.

He won't compete against us here.

Next, Xuan Benxu will die.

Father can take the throne smoothly only after Xuan's blood dies.

But Xuan Fucheng is the emperor.

Xuan family can't be compatible with our family.

Father takes the throne only when all Xuan family die.

So what will you do?

Let's make a deal.

I have nothing to say with you.

Why refuse me so soon?

I can help you take revenge.

But you know the condition.

You need to give me the jade seal.

Of course, you can refuse.

The cost is, Xuan Benxu will be the emperor.

And you will die with regrets.

I will trust you once more time.

But you need to give me Xuan Benxu's head.

Just a while.

Make long story short.

Short.

The emperor died for real.

Not death mimicry.

You will die, you should go now.

They need me.

I won't die now.

Xuan Fuche's death is strange.

Someone scapegoats me out of rebellion.

Fang.

Send a letter to Feibai.

Someone wants to make a fuss with Xuan Fuche's death.

I am afraid Xuan Benxu is going to die.

Do we need to tell the crown prince to beware?

It's late.

Beibai need to get the jade seal for the lord.

But here is far away from Biancheng.

He doesn't have the time.

I have my own way.

Fang.

One pigeon sends the letter to Feibai.

You need another pigeon.

Another one?

Where?

Purple Garden.

Father.

What should we do with the servants?

It's your decision to make.

Our lord never kills the innocent indiscriminately.

You work for Xuan family.

Because you have no choice.

You can go now.

Thank you, lord.

Thank you, Young master...

Thank you.

Go.

Go...

You stay in Biancheng and handle the rest.

I will go back to the capital now.

Yes.

Come... Drink.

Eat.

I need more.

Drink...

Thank you for alllowing me to visit my cousin.

Drink...

Drink...

Eat...

Fang, what's the situation now?

Song Minglei and Jinxiu are looking for jade seal.

We need to get jade seal ahead of them.

Fang.

For how long can your medicine work?

One night?

One night is enough.

Quick...

Your Highness, in such a hurry.

You want to leave the palace?

You get the wrong person.

Your Royal Highness.

We met before.

I am sorry.

I have a good memory.

Say it.

Where is jade seal?

We don't know where the jade seal is.

Stop talking.

Your Highness.

How can I believe you?

Let us go.

Otherwise, I will call bodyguards here.

All the guards in imperial palace are my men now.

You can have a try.

You.

Huanli.

Your Highness. Go.

Go.

Your Highness.

Zhang Demao.

Chase Xuan Benxu.

Yes.

Go, search for the jade seal carefully.

Yes.

I remember the lord takes back Lin Dejun, right?

Where did Song Minglei get those men?

My second brother told his men to sneak into the palace.

And he knows the main route of the harem is blocked.

He is well caculated.

He wants more than jade seal.

He has a greater ambition.
