[Ep 51]

You trample my life.

You are not qualified to teach me what to do.

Everyone says I am wrong, so what?

I'd like to.

I want to prove it to those who despise me.

I can succeed even without you.

Feibai.

You really find the cicada slough.

How did you get it?

Secret.

But I will get everything you want.

Gross.

Xiaoyu.

Tell Chunlai to take this to Nanguo.

Yes.

Nanguo?

I tried so hard to come back, now it's all for Duan Yuerong.

Well, aloof and proud Mr. Snow is jealous now.

Not jealous.

I have a candy now.

Your Majesty.

More than 5,000 people have died.

It's spreading to the west.

Please, we need to do something.

More than 5,000 people?

Your Majesty.

Chunlai.

Your Majesty.

I am here with Mr. Jun's cicada slough.

Rise.

Cicada slough.

A bag of cicada slough.

Rosemallow is so awesome.

Your Majesty.

The plague spreads too fast.

It's far from enough.

I think Mr. Mowen needs to buy a lot of cicada slough.

I have the latest intelligence.

Yuan Qingjiang is approaching Jizhou formidably.

Dou's army lost over and over again with a low morale.

Dongting is going to be exterminated.

Father.

I think, Dongting's extermination is not so good for us.

Whether Yuan Qingjiang, Dou Yinghua or Wang family,

have you ever thought why they didn't seek usurpation?

As long as Xuan Fuyu sits in the throne in Dongting,

Dongting is named Xuan.

Xiting only belongs to Xuan.

This is a delicate balance.

Because in Central Plains, only Xuan is the rightful dynasty.

But if Xuan Fuyu dies, and Dongting no longer exists,

The balance will be broken.

Yuan Qingjiang will replace us with his mind and strength.

What should we do?

Father, I have an idea.

When I formed an alliance with Yuan Feibai,

I sent spies to him.

Now they got Yuan family's march maps,

layouts and confidential documents.

If we send the confidential documents to Dou Yinghua now,

Dou Yinghua will go all out to fight against Yuan army.

When Yuan's army suffers heavy casualties,

we can eliminate him once for all.

I tried to pry out his intention.

He doesn't want to usurp.

In my opinion, after Dongting's collapse,

he may not force me to abdicate.

Father.

Better safe than sorry.

Yuan Qingjiang has no ambitions now.

But no one knows for sure,

that he won't cross the line in the future.

You are young.

You should know we can't be careful enough in the troubled world.

Yuan Qingjiang is ten years older than me.

The world is peaceful as long as he dies before me.

Just do as you said.

If he forces me to abdicate, our family is doomed.

But...

Please save my Nanguo.

Don't worry.

Take care of Rosemallow for me.

I will come back soon.

The purple stone is exactly like Sima Ju's purple dagger.

Why the forged weapon is worse than the iron sword?

Ma'am, do you see it wrong?

No.

Just this stone.

The dark palace is so deep.

It is protected by the complicated maze.

There must be a huge secret inside.

And the secret is related to the stone.

I know

Sometimes in quenching, it's more than just iron.

Maybe there is a secret in quenching.

Feibai, I knew you were here.

In Purple Garden, only the dark palace has cicada slough.

Feibai.

Am I very smart?

Brother.

I almost take all your cicada slough.

I didn't expect you would be twins like me.

Jinxiu loves the brother.

I have misunderstood you for so many years.

We almost miss each other forever.

Feibai.

Sorry.

It's all the past.

You don't need to apologize to me.

Till then, we just wanted to keep Yuan family's secret.

So I couldn't explain much to you.

Misunderstanding is not what I want.

You won't blame me, right?

To deceive the public,

Feibai came down for the spring medicine,

and I went up to be Feibai's imposter.

I didn't expect I would meet Jinxiu.

Now it cause these misunderstandings.

I'm sorry for you.

I'm sorry for Jinxiu too.

The soil becomes different because of treasure, purple mines.

So the cicada slough grows here.

Precisely because of us and cicada slough,

Nanguo is free from plague.

What a coincidence!

Purple Garden has its name perhaps because of purple mines.

Jinxiu has the lord's favor because of a pair of purple eyes.

But now I think it's because of the color of purple mine.

Jinxiu, you shouldn't be like this.

But the secret of the treasure is not just the cicada slough right?

Master.

The purple mines can be made into sharp weapons in some ways.

I don't know if father knows this.

I lied to my father that I hadn't figured out the purple mine.

And four years ago, I gave him a semi-finished dagger.

And I have told the men here not to tell my father the secret of purple mine.

Because the mine will lead to riots.

Then the war will come.

I would keep the secret with my whole life.

But I feel sorry for the darkmen.

They are born here and never see outside.

But even if they know the secret of purple mine,

they have to stay here to keep the secret till they die.

I'm sorry for them.

You are kind.

It's unfair.

Master, Feibai.

I want to plead on their behalf.

Chinese Valentine's Day is coming.

I want to take them to see the lanterns.

Feibai.

Father is in Jizhou, far away from here.

We will go in secret.

He won't know.

We have no time to lose.

Feibai, let's get prepared.

Go.

Let's go.

Thank you, master.

The lanterns in Xidu are beautiful.

A lot of people will be there.

They will like it.

What's the secret of refining purple mine?

I won't tell you.

I can compensate you with my life.

For you, purple mine's secret and me

which is more important?

Don't believe me just watch.

I have tried so hard to have today.

Nothing is important now.

No.

Tell me.

No, Jinxiu, I will tell you.

When refining weapons...

What?

Purple mine, pig iron, in the proportion 1:10.

Every ten pounds of raw materials will go

with one qian of cicada slough powder.

And the weapon is very sharp.

You owe me this.

What is this flower?

This is the legendary Huangcui flower.

So beautiful.

What's this? It got wings.

This is...You are from the countryside right?

You don't even know this?

Go...

Look at them.

They have never been so happy.

Great...

Look at the cloth.

So great.

Come here.

Look at this clay figure.

So pretty.

Am I a woman of taste?

Of course.

Give him the money.

Keep the change.

It's me.

I will put you in my mind.

Then they should be together.

Ok...

Ma'am.

What are they eating?

It's colorful.

Well, everyone, come with me.

Everyone, follow me.

Go...

What are you doing here?

Liu Yansheng tried to harass me.

You helped me.

I would think about this every Chinese Valentine's Day.

I would think of you.

The injury on your neck still hurts?

But I didn't expect my love was a shadow that couldn't show up.

All my fault.

I know I can't give you anything.

But I still can't forget you.

But you know what.

Our time in Xilin is my only hope in my dark life.

I went to wait for you in Xilin every day.

I was expecting you.

But you never showed up again.

Jinxiu.

Come, let's drown our sorrows.

Once we get drunk, we can go back to the good times in Xilin.

No.

No drinking in the dark palace.

Only a cup.

It's delicious.

Smells so good.

Feibai, come.

Delicious, right?

Lord is here.

Father. -Father.

Why are you silent after I come?

Rumor has it that Jun Mowen is a talented in business.

It's true.

I want to learn something from you.

Xidu is rich and strong.

All the shops sell high-end imported products

or cheap local groceries.

But my stores sell all kinds of goods from different countries.

So my branches can take root in different countries.

Why stop eating?

Father.

I asked them to see the lanterns here.

And I give cicada slough to Nanguo, too.

Feibai and darkmen have nothing to do with these.

Father.

You are here already.

Feibai.

You just take them around.

I need to talk to Rosemallow alone.

Yes.

Follow me.

Lord.

You are so bold.

Father.

It's my fault that I take them out without your permission.

But in I can't see them live in the dark forever.

And reward can bring people together.

My advice is, let them spend Chinese Valentine's Day outside.

They will thank you for breaking the ancestral rules.

They will be more loyal to you and dark palace.

As for cicada slough, I really don't want

to see Nanguo suffer from plague.

And if we help Nanguo in most difficult times,

we will have a friend rather than an enemy.

Great.

No wonder you are the richest in the world.

Great.

I won't punish you for cicada slough for the time being.

I can allow you to take them out

to spend Chinese Valentine's Day every year.

But you have to cooperate with me.

I want to buy Jun store's shares.

I also know you are good at designing devices.

You have to design weapons for Yuan family.

Ok.

I won't force you so aggressively.

To express my sincerity.

Your flagship store on Fujun street

with large flow in the capital is yours.

Thank you, father.

Why do you give me the street in the capital?

The world doesn't belong to Xuan only.

I will try my best to help you.

No nonsense.

Yes.

Mother.

Boss Jun.

Congratulations, you find a new partner now.

Well.

Thank you for your cicada slough.

It's ok.

I miss you. Mother.

Xiyan.

Xiyan.

She married someone else.

She is not your mother now.

Mother.

Let's go back to Nanguo, ok?

Xiyan.

Sorry.

I'm sorry.

Just say sorry.

What's the use of it?

We will not forget what happened.

Do you know how much she misses you?

And me.

I miss you too.

Yuerong.

Thanks for everything you have done for me.

But you know, I love Feibai only.

See you are still the same.

Every time we talk about him, your eyes are shining.

So I am right to establish diplomatic relations

with Yuan Qingjiang in his name.

So he will be more stable in his family.

Yuerong.

Don't thank me.

I will hate you all my life.

But I will still wait for you all my life.

Nanguo's queen belongs to you only.

You made the choice.

If one day he does something wrong to you,

Xiyan and I will laugh at you.

You are still the same.

Your bark is worse than bite.

Then just come back to Nanguo.

We will wait for you.

Xiyan.

This woman is so incredible.

Pros and cons are in her hands.

Once she is out of control, she will be a threat.

You need to take precautions.

I can't doubt her when I need her help.

But you are right.

So I buy her shares.

I can know immediately if she habors any evil ideas.

I want to see what else she can do.

There are many delicious and fun places along the street.

If you are not full, you can find more snacks over there.

But don't get lost.

Great.

Go...

How to get Jun's store?

Maybe in that direction.

Thank you. -You're welcome.

Help.

Say it.

Who are you?

Lord.

The people say, they are in Nanguo's clothes.

They are not the local people here.

Where does this come from?

If you don't say it now, we will prise your mouth in our dungeon.

Young master.

Young master.

Young master. Are you all right?

Lord.

Say it.

How should I punish you?

Please sentence me to death.

Young master.

In Purple Garden, few know the secret.

I.

Feibai.

You.

Han Xiuzhu.

The late Meixiang and aunt Xie.

And you Shi Qingpei.

Shi Qingpei.

You and Mr. Han know the secret of the treasure for years.

You won't leak it out suddenly.

Thank you, lord.

Get up.

Who is it?

If I hadn't sent a spy in the lord's army,

I wouldn't know he would come back

at the night of Chinese Valentine's Day.

I got the purple mine.

Now the lord sees the darkmen die in front of him.

I really want to see the reaction of

the lord and Sima Ju at this moment.

Father.

Kill me.

Lord.

Want to die?

You are not qualified yet.

You haven't told me the secret of purple mine.

I found this in the dark palace.

It's much sharper than the one you gave me last time.

You mastered the secret behind my back.

Behind our family.

Now the assassins took advantage of it.

Father.

Believe me or not, I didn't conceal the secret.

So they did?

No.

Not you.

Not them.

You want to say it's Feibai?

Impossible.

He won't do that.

Impossible.

Next step we need to take this opportunity to

kill two birds with one stone.

Who is your next target?

Fengding.

Second brother sends Yuan Feiqing a dagger on his birthday.

Send this to Lirui tower.

Yes.

Lord.

It becomes like this. So you will go back to the army

before the truth comes out, or after?

Chinese Valentine's Day just passed.

Well.

Feiqing's birthday is coming, right?

The day after tomorrow.

Feiqing, I know him.

He has resentment towards me.

He hates me because I told him to be their hostage.

He hates my partiality.

Speaking of which, I didn't spend his birthday yet.

I will stay in Purple Garden for a few more days.

I will spend his birthday with him.

Ok, I will do it as soon as possible.

Take the knife out.

Sharp.

Such a good dagger.

Brother.

Why can't you understand me?

Father.

Feiqing.

Today is your birthday.

Why the red tape?

Come.

You are still so scared of me?

Father.

I know I am not capable enough to help you with the work.

I can't outcompete Feibai since childhood.

Now I can't lead Linde army.

I can't fight on the battlefield.

I am sorry for my incompetence.

You are still blaming me.

For giving your Linde to Feibai.

But I do this just to eliminate your internal problems.

Think about it.

You are the commander of the army.

But you give the military power to Song Minglei.

Remember, our military power can't be in hands of others.

Yes, father.

I am sorry.

I see you brothers equally.

You just have different appointments.

It's all based on your strengths.

You are benevolent.

It's not for leading an army.

But the frontline needs me.

Now no one is in charge of Xidu's internal affairs.

This time you need to protect Purple Garden and Xidu.

Thank you, father.

I won't fail you even if I die.

Why talk about die?

See, Shuyi made longevity noodles for you.

So great.

Eat before it's getting cold.

Tonight we will drink together.

Thank you, father.

My lord.

Young master.

Strategist Song told me to send you a gift.

He wishes you successful and healthy.

Open it.

You sent this dagger to Feiqing right?

Yes.

You still don't plead guilty?

No, father.

Last night, more than 100 darkmen were assassinated.

The assassin used this weapon.

Second brother is the master of Ming family.

He won't use Ming's force against Yuan Qingjiang

until he is in the bottom.

Yuan Feibai will go all out to help Yuan Qingjiang.

They fight against one another.

And we will reap what they sow.

Father.

I got the purple dagger accidentally.

I really don't know its relationship with the sword.

Let alone why they both are purple.

On the night of Chinese Valentine's Day,

I saw you and Feiyan on the street.

Soon my darkmen were under attack and I saw the purple weapons.

Then you sent Feiqing the same dagger.

So many coincidences.

How can I believe you?

Father.

Now I am deprived of military power.

Why do I kill them?

Not to mention I don't know them.

Apparently someone is scapegoating me.

So brother Feiqing will be implicated.

Well.

As I know, the assassins were in Nanguo's clothes.

I have nothing to do with them.

Lord.

The people say the assassins are in Nanguo's clothes.

They are not the local people here.

The emperor has many misunderstandings

with Yuan family because of lady Huaxi.

Now everything is clear.

Our emperor wants to form an ally with you.

And we are willing to establish diplomatic relations with Xiting.

The whole Purple Garden knows you are going to name your heir.

It's Feiqing or Feibai.

Hua Rosemallow is very close to Nanguo.

I hate to believe that Hua Rosemallow wants

to scapegoat me for Feibai.
