[Ep 48]

Maybe I was eager to make a contribution in Jingguan.

Or Yuan Feibai told the lord that

I betrayed the allies.

Lord is very suspicious of me now.

The lord is going to name his heir.

It's either Yuan Feibai or Yuan Feiqing.

What should we do?

Feiliu is young now.

What I can do for him is limited.

Feiliu needs a mother that can help him remove all the obstacles.

Not a mother that can fight on the battlefield.

Fengding.

Find a way to let the lord and Yuan Feibai know

Song Minglei leaked out the message about

Yuan Feibai's absence without leave.

I can't bring down Yuan Feibai now.

Song Minglei is behind Yuan Feiqing.

I need to bring down Yuan Feiqing first.

Yes, we should take them down one by one.

It's just an expediency.

We still need one thing.

What?

Backups.

Or allies.

Crown prince has Yuan Feiqing.

Prince Xuan has Yuan Feibai.

Fengding.

Do you remember, you told me about imperial concubine Li?

Imperial concubine Li is a poor woman.

The two princes threw the baby out of the wagon

on the way of running

because the baby's cry would attract the pursuing forces.

Imperial concubine Li still doesn't know the baby's whereabouts.

Go find something left by the baby.

Yes.

I hate you wandering in the dark.

But I have to peek at you in the darker place.

You've changed.

Became you are Yuan family's enemy.

But I can't let go of you.

The queen sent this soup every day.

The soup contains aconite.

It can dispel cold.

It's the ancient prescription in the palace.

The aconite can cure the cold for ordinary people.

But it's a chronic poison for people of deficient spleen.

But maybe people who prepared the soup

don't know it will affect your spleen.

So I am not sure that it's a murder.

It makes two of us.

You can go now.

Don't tell anyone what happened today.

Yes.

Father.

How could it be a coincidence?

Not to mention, the queen definitely knows your lingering disease.

She wants to kill you.

Sorry for my rudeness.

First of all.

My old disease doesn't relapse for many years.

She probably thought I recovered well.

Secondly.

I catch a cold.

She prepared soup for me in person.

Maybe she made some mistakes with the herbs.

I don't blame her.

But father...

She followed me for more than 20 years after all.

It's priceless.

And Wang family is Xiting's backup.

I need to consider the whole situation.

Young master, sister Rosemallow.

It's so late.

What seems to be the problem?

Young master.

I am here to say goodbye.

The victory in Jingguan, and the way to Biancheng is open.

Tomorrow I need to go to the battlefield in Yanzhou.

Brother.

We just reunited for not long.

Now we...

Sister, I know.

In fact, I should have left a few days ago.

But you were in a coma.

I was worried.

Now you are under recovery.

And young master Feibai takes a good care of you.

I should go now.

But I don't know when we can meet again.

Brother, I can understand you.

Rosemallow.

I have made up my mind.

If I can't end the turmoil, I won't come back.

We know the suffering and pain in the turbulent world best.

I can't let thousands of kids repeat our sufferings.

The world's peace is all I want.

Rosemallow.

Wait for my good news.

Young master, I bid you farewell.

Brother.

I want to give you something.

Sister.

Brother.

Jiangyuan.

This is sage Hua's masterpiece that Dou Yinghua is looking for?

No.

I can't take it.

Brother.

You said, you won't come back until you end the turmoil.

Today, I will give my father's book to you.

No.

I understand.

I won't fail you even if I have to die on the battlefield.

Brother.

Young master.

Bye.

Sister, take care.

You are now a woman.

You need to show strength with your waist.

You are quite talented.

This pair of teals is so beautiful.

It's mandarin ducks.

I feel what normal means for the first time.

For you, I can even abandon my title.

I can even dress like a woman forever.

Rosemallow.

Do you remember those days from time to time?

Father.

Xiyan.

What happened?

Have you reviewed Book of Family Names

and Three Character Primer?

I am not a boy.

I don't need to read books.

Xiaoyu.

Your Majesty.

Take the princess to transcribe the lessons today.

I will check it.

Yes.

You can't go to bed without finishing transcription today.

Go.

Father is a bad guy, I want to see mother.

Xiyan, don't blame me.

I just want to leave the best things to you.

Is it a little shorter?

Are you sure you will cook?

Yes.

Then break some eggs and stir it.

Ok.

Finished.

You are not satisfied?

No... I am satisfied.

So make some fire.

Are you ok?

I'm fine.

The wood is too wet.

So the fume is choking.

I am going to make you a fried hibiscus.

Fried hibiscus?

Flower.

Flower.

Young master. Try it.

One.

Two.

Three.

So many hibiscuses.

You are congeneric plants, so cruel.

Do you eat it?

Yes.

I eat everything you make.

Good.

Of course.

Because I did it.

I have tasted yours.

You should try mine.

Please.

Thank you.

How about it?

Do you like it?

Yes.

Mr. Snow is good at cooking in the kitchen

and fighting on the battlefield as well.

So admiring.

Flattered.

Young master.

Why not try your own soup?

Ok.

Drinking like a fish is so like your style.

Great.

You can't vomit...

No way.

The lord is here to punish Febai or separate us?

You made this?

Yes.

Father...

The soup is too bad.

Feibai.

These months, you left the camp.

So where did you go?

5,000 soldiers died because of my absence without leave.

I will accept the punishment.

Lord.

Feibai went to Gongyue for cistanche.

And he met me there.

I was almost kidnapped.

Feibai saved me.

Punish me not him.

Father.

She has nothing to do with this.

Here is the thing.

Ming Fengqing staged a rebellion in Gongyue.

I didn't expect Song Minglei is the descendant of Ming family.

And he tried to kidnap Rosemallow.

Song Minglei again.

Yes.

He killed Ming Fengqing and dismissed all Ming Fengqing's men.

But he tried to kidnap Rosemallow.

He is such a bad guy.

I'm worried about brother Feiqing.

Feibai.

Rosemallow.

I know he is your second brother.

But what he did doesn't deserve your concern.

What about the queen and Feijue?

The queen misses you.

The queen leaves the throne to Feijue.

And Feijue can remember all the past.

I didn't expect you could come back at last.

Believe it or not, I didn't lose my chastity.

I love Feibai only.

I can do everything for him.

Including Jun's stores?

Jun Mowen you have your information network.

I have my own information network.

I know all about you.

Father.

If she hadn't helped us in the dark,

Yuande army wouldn't have today.

Please give her the antidote.

I owe her too much.

I can give her the antidote.

But Rosemallow, you need to give me two things.

To prove your loyalty.

What do you want?

I need Shangxun and Jiangyuan.

I gave you these two books long ago.

Really?

When?

My eldest brother had two victories in ten days.

Do you know this?

I find the best man for my Jiangyuan.

My eldest brother.

He will save the day with his kindness and generosity.

And Jun's stores based on Shangxun will be your best backup.

These are my best gifts for you and Feibai.

It can prove my loyalty.

You are as eloquent as ever.

Go on having your meal.

Little kitten.

Do not worry.

He will give us the antidote.

Ma'am.

Ma'am.

I found this one the road from Biancheng and the capital.

Royal family's mark.

I think it belongs the little prince.

You want to rope in imperial concubine Li.

But it's a big crime to rope in the imperial harem in secret.

Not to mention, she has no strong backup.

Has no advantage even if the emperor loves her a lot.

Can she be your backup?

Xuan's dynasty is like a spent arrow.

No one deserves to be my backup.

The only backup is Yuan Qingjiang and myself.

I need to help Yuan Qingjiang to take the throne.

So he won't be suspicious of me.

And imperial concubine Li is my

stepping stone to climb the mountain.

Yes.

I am the descendant of Ming family.

But now Ming's soldiers are incorporated into Linde army.

I also incorporate aunt's men into Linde.

If you don't believe me, you can investigate it.

If you still don't believe me,

you can take my military force back.

You killed your aunt.

You destroyed her sword to help you seek revenge.

May I ask...

If you were me, what would you choose now?

No one knows the pain of hatred better than me.

Because I know my family can't come back no matter what I do.

No one knows better than me how hard to have happiness.

I have waited for more than ten years.

Finally I have my family.

Now I just want to live the ordinary life.

Whoever wants to ruin my happiness is my biggest enemy.

Guangqian.

Come forward.

Let me take a good look at you.

Yes.

He is such a cunning traitor.

What a horrible hypocrite!

If I guess right, the one who leaked the message

that 5,000 soldiers died due to

Feibai's absence without leave is you. Song Minglei.

Because you want to take throne with Feiqing for your revenge.

Feiyan.

For your happiness, I can't ignore something.

Go back.

Treat Feiyan well.

Yes.

You are sure to rope in imperial concubine Li with this?

Imperial concubine had a dystocia.

So she is infertile from then on.

She sees the little prince as her life.

But the two princes threw the baby out of the wagon.

I knew this secret by accident.

And the golden lock is a proof.

I'm sure I can rope in imperial concubine Li.

She has no power and no kids.

What's the point of this?

The emperor loves her most.

She is very important in the emperor's decision.

Not to mention the power of hatred is stronger than the blade.

What's your take?

I can sow discords between two princes with imperial concubine.

Crown prince has Wang family.

The emperor likes prince Xuan very much.

The two sides' dispute will cause confusion.

Then you can stage a rebellion.

No nonsense.

Lord.

Everything I do is not for you or me.

It's for the people.

Only you can end the turbulence.

I can take the first step for the peace to complete my mission.

even if I will be notorious.

Maybe this is one reason I marry you.

You know what.

I like your pillow talk most.

But it's not so simple as you think.

Crown prince has been at odds with prince Xuan for a long time.

The crown prince has Wang family.

As long as the queen exists,

imperial concubine Li can't stir up a fight.

No matter how much the emperor loves her.

And she doesn't know you.

You think you can make an alliance with her with the golden lock?

I just want to help me.

Maybe I am so naive.

But we can't waste imperial concubine Li.

You have your own plan right?

We need to uproot Wang family once for all.

Lock Wang family's military power.

Your Majesty.

You have no kids now.

You need to think about it.

Your Majesty.

You should have your women.

Your Majesty. Think it over.

Who said I have no kids?

I decide to give my throne to Xiyan in the future.

Your Majesty.

Nanguo has no queen.

Your majesty can't make this exception.

Yes.

I find the best teachers for Xiyan.

I tell her to study how to rule a country and read books every day.

She will be a good empress.

Your Majesty...

Enough.

My decision is final.

I will punish whoever has any objections.

Why do you take me here?

What do you want?

I know.

You released Feibai's absence without leave.

I also know what you did in Jingguan.

I even know you will rope in imperial concubine Li at all costs.

I won't let you make more mistakes again.

You can't go to the capital.

I'm a bad woman in your eyes.

But what's wrong that I fight for my son?

You are a darkman.

What is your qualification to teach me?

I can't let you hurt innocent people.

I don't want you to ruin yourself.

You can't outsmart the lord.

I don't want you to die.

You lock me up for me or yourself?

You think too much.

Don't move, otherwise I will kill him.

Let him go.

You can't escape out.

Because you don't know the way out.

Really?

Let me out.

Go.

Open the door, otherwise I kill him.

Let him go.

I promise you as long as you let him go, I won't chase you.

Jinxiu.

I will stare at you here and guild you to the light.

I don't care your light.

Mother.

Prince Benji's birthday is coming.

His mother died from dystocia.

Poor son without mother.

So sisters are going to give him a birthday party.

I will prepare the gift for Benqi.

But I am unwell recently. I am sorry I can't attend the birthday party.

Sister.

Sorry.

I almost forgot.

Benxiao's deathday is coming.

If the little prince were still alive, he would be taller than Benqi.

My bloody mouth.

I have to go now.

Fu has something important to discuss with me.

Sister.

My condolences.

Ma'am Ziyi.

You helped me before.

I will never forget.

I am here to give something back.

As I know, Jinxiu went to the capital.

Yes.

Drink the medicine.

Jinxiu won't go to the capital without the lord's order.

She goes there with a huge mission

about the royal family and Yuan family.

I am afraid Xiting will have some misfortunes.

Misfortunes?

What misfortunes?

I gave the little prince to the princes.

So I investigated this privately.

And I confirmed it.

Go.

Crown prince.

Prince Xuan.

You are so cruel.

He is your brother.

You threw him out of the wagon.

I am a mother too. I can understand your feelings.

If I were you, I would avenge my son at all costs.

Crown prince has Wang family.

The empeor likes prince Xuan most.

Even if the emperor knows, he will downplay it.

I have no power.

How can I avenge my son?

What if Yuan family can be your support?

Will the crown prince and the queen let you go?

So you want to die in your enemy's hands too.

If you can cooperate with Yuan family,

we will help you destroy the queen and crown prince.

Then destroy prince Xuan.

Then we will let Xuan Benqi take the throne.

Till then you will be the emperor's mother rightfully.

Of course.

I won't force you.

It's your decision to make.

After the lord comes back, he decides to name his heir.

I think it's the emperor's instruction.

Why does the emperor intervene in

the lord's family affair without a good reason?

Because Feiqing assists the crown prince.

You assist prince Xuan.

So the emperor decides his candidate after the lord finds his heir.

It can maximize Xiting's interests.

Rumor has it that the emperor wants to change the crown prince.

It's true now.

I'm afraid there will be a fierce rebellion.

If I guess right, the lord will tell Jinxiu to set up a trap.

So the queen can suppress prince Xuan.

No.

The queen will seize prince Xuan and scapegoat him with rebellion.

Then the emperor will investigate it.

It will lead to dispute between the emperor and Wang family.

Lord can oust Wang family with the emperor's hands.

And this time Jinxiu completes the mission.

I'm afraid she will take the opportunity to take revenge.

I'm not afraid as long as you are by my side.

Don't worry about me.

Father.

Now Pan Zhengyue died and half of Dongting's territory goes to Xiting.

Dou Yinghua is doing the last struggle.

I want to lead Linde army to vanquish the enemy.

Please.

Brother.

You insist on taking away my military power.

Don't blame me.

I will take the initiative to go to the battlefield.

Linde army is so strong under your training.

You are a hero.

Why do you take a knee? Stand up.

Now Dou Yinghua has sent troops to Yanzhou.

Linde army should return to the battlefield.

Feiqing agreed.

So I believe your brother Yu Feiyan

will take Yanzhou and Biancheng like you.

You just need to stay here with Feiyan.

You should have a baby.

Yes, father.

Yes.

Father borrowed my Linde army.

I promised him.

Brother.

Linde army is all our efforts.

How can you...

I know.

Father doesn't intend to return it.

But can I say no?

In pulbic, everything I have is because of father.

And now it's the critical time for my family.

I must lend it to him.

And in private.

I want to extinguish your desire at the cost of Linde army.

Brother.

Yu Feiyan is on Yuan Feibai's side.

How can you let him occupy our Linde army?

After all, he is our brother.

Only Guangqian is good to you.

Feiyan.

I am good to him in my way.

Husband.

Don't worry.

I will convince my brother to take Linde army back.

Linde army is brother's effort too.

But no one can violate father's orders.

Leave him alone.

No.

Why should we support Yuan Feibai with our army?

Father, he is too partial.

Brother is just confused.

Feiyan.

For you, I won't let the enemy be happy for too long.

Zhang Demao.

Gather all men, I want to train them myself.

Yes...

You want to rebel against Yuan family now?

I will never give up just because I lose Linde army.

I have no choice now.

Your Majesty.

Imperial concubine Li is here to see you.

Why is she here?

Send her in.

Yes.

Your Majesty.

I can cooperate with Yuan family as long as I can avenge my son.

But I have a request.

Don't harm the emperor.

Rest assured.

You are here, well prepared.

What can I do?

First.

Destroy the crown prince and Wang family to avenge your son.

Second.

Go to see the queen in person.

Come.

Mother.

Mother, look.

Your favorite flower.

It has buds now.

It's so heavy, why do you take it out?

I take it to see more sunlight.

So it will bloom sooner.

Not all flowers can see the sunlight.

Cicadas can only live in the dark.

It will die under the sun.

The emperor is suspicious of you for your aconite soup.

And prince Xuan makes a fuss with it.

So the emperor is going to name prince Xuan as the crown prince.

But he cares about Wang family's force.

So next he will mobilize Wang's force to the frontier.

Then he will change the crown prince.

Why do you tell me this?

I will not have babies.

Once the emperor dies, I will have the most miserable ending.

And the crown prince and Wang family

will be Xiting's mainstay forever.

Don't worry.

I have no plots.

I just want to live a simple life for the rest of my life.

You are the only one who can help me.

You know the drill.

No wonder the emperor loves you so much.

Great.

From now on, you are mine.

And I won't shortchange you.

In return, I have a gift for you.

The way to eliminate all the forces behind prince Xuan.
