[Ep 31]

It's late, you are here for something important, right?

To be honest.

I am here to ask for help.

Second prince, you can say it.

Mother won again.

So admiring.

I used double-pronged attack in the game.

And you were at a loss and failed.

Actually, we are in the same situation.

I don't understand what you mean.

Please enlighten me.

Your Majesty, don't worry.

I love Xu'er and Fu'er both.

I am happy no matter who is the crown prince.

So your Majesty can give them a test.

See what they will do to observe their ambitions,

strategies and connections.

You are right.

The result is not important.

The process is what I value most.

But I can't tolerate one thing.

Your Majesty, what?

Lord Jin's ambition is so obvious.

Who goes close to him will shake my family's foundation.

And he will be the sinner of the country.

I have an idea.

You can have Xu'er and Fu'er monitored.

We need to find out if they rope the important ministers in.

Mother, you are so awesome.

Someone came to tell me, Xuan Benxu went to Yuan Qingjiang.

Presumably your father knows it now.

The poison works so strongly.

My health is getting worse.

I'm afraid I am about to die.

It's great to die here.

At least no one will be involved.

He forgot me long ago, perhaps.

When did she see Yuan Feibai?

What did they say?

Rosemallow, what are you doing?

I am here to enjoy the mountains and water.

You know the tune.

I am versatile.

You don't know?

Rosemallow, are you all right?

Why do you still think of him?

You think he didn't bring you enough troubles?

Why do you still waste time on him?

Give it here, I will help you throw it away.

No.

I...

I am sorry.

I...

Rosemallow.

You think every day about the culprit of your poison.

Why don't you spend some time...

See the one who is around you, for maybe 15 minutes.

Rosemallow.

Actually, I...

Come, come with me.

The only purple-eyed monster in the world.

Purple eyes?

I guarantee that you will be awed, ok?

Come, over there.

Did you see it?

How's it?

What do you mean?

I have told you, we can't let my husband know this.

You will screw up everything.

Two rich men gave me a lot of money to see you.

Ma'am Chaozhu, please bear with it.

Come, have a look.

Take a look.

Purple-eyed monster.

We will return the money if you are not satisfied.

Go away...

What the hell? You slap him.

Must be a lady.

What are you doing? Go.

Cuihua, how many times do I have to tell you?

You can't take them here.

If you do this again, I will tell your father.

Give the money back.

Go with me and I will return the money, go.

Give my money back.

Give my money back.

If you do this again, you will be grounded.

Rosemallow.

Rosemallow.

Why are you hurting yourself all the time?

I just want to make more money for you and Xiyan.

Xiyan needs more nutrition.

And you.

Look, you are so thin.

I want to give you the best.

Don't be angry now.

Look.

I have embroidered the handkerchief.

I won't mistake teal for mandarin duck.

A pair of mandarin ducks rest on cherry bay in Nan mountain.

Their affinity exists for a thousand years, and never fades.

Here, it's for you.

This is my biggest wish.

Yuerong.

If you get me wrong, I am sorry.

But I can't take the handkerchief.

I have no mother since childhood.

I was under house arrest in the palace as hostage.

I grew up in there.

I always tried to be dandiacal to keep my father safe.

They arranged many beautiful women for me.

But no matter how beautiful they are, they are just vile skin-bags.

They have their own conspiracy.

So I used to tell myself, I can't give others my true heart.

I thought I could do it.

But it's different when I met you.

You know what, I relinquish my status to live here with you.

No matter how you abuse me,

I still feel so touched.

Because you are the only one who sees me as a plain person,

rather than a crown prince.

I feel the sincerity from your eyes for the first time.

So I can even relinquish the status for you.

I can be a woman for you forever.

Rosemallow.

Let's be here as the ordinary couple.

A family of three will live here peacefully, ok?

Yuerong.

You grow some dependence on me over the time.

Actually all the women are like this.

You will understand after you see more girls.

Yuerong.

All the days we are here are my most

unforgettable and most relaxing time.

You are my good friend.

Maybe you misunderstand my kindness.

You mistake that for love.

But I have figured it out in this year.

No matter what's going on between Feibai and Jinxiu,

I don't care.

I still love him.

After it's over, we go back to Nanguo.

I will do my best to explain for you.

And I will leave you.

I believe you will find a good girl.

Why?

Why do you choose him not me?

Why do you choose him?

He can disobey his father's orders like me?

He can sacrifice everything for you?

He can dress up like a woman for you?

I quit it.

Who's there?

You are a man.

You are Duan Yuerong.

Don't come over.

You go first.

You go first.

People say Duan Yuerong is a skilled fighter.

If I am defeated, you will reap what I sow.

Yup.

I am a skilled fighter.

I won't go easy on you.

Go.

You want to run.

How dare you.

Still talk nonsense.

What's going on?

What happens to your martial arts?

I haven't held you in my arms for a long time.

The first time I saw you, I didn't quite like you.

I thought you were a coxcomb.

Then, you saved so many innocent people in Purple Garden.

From then on, I love your kindness.

You remind me of my kindness and sympathy.

I am the emperor's spy.

You hate me.

I won't blame you.

I will protect you forever.

Because I love you.

You are writing a letter to the lord again?

I am here with a mission.

I report everything to the lord.

What's wrong with it?

You still didn't get what I said yesterday.

I was born in the dark palace.

But I don't want to live there.

So every time the lord came, I would push myself forward.

And the lord finally saw me.

He recognized my talents and abilities.

He personally took me to a place with sunlight.

I worked so hard, and I am so loyal to Eastwing.

Because I want to repay the lord.

Why are you not poisoned?

Grind the poison into the ink.

I would be poisoned when I picked up the letter.

Pretty smart.

No wonder you are the leader of darkmen.

But you seem to forget who I am.

I am family Yuan's third son.

The leader of Eastwing.

Whether your poison, or my family's poison, it won't harm me.

You are so loyal.

I think you know who is the boss of Eastwing.

Young master.

You really think I can't send the letter to Purple Garden?

Where are they? -No idea.

No idea?

Let me tell you, I will punish you if you can't find them.

General.

What?

Two bros went to investigate yesterday and they didn't come back.

As I know, they are lost around village Jun.

Village Jun?

There must be some catch in it.

Go, check it out.

Marshal, wait a minute.

Maybe two bros are on the way back.

Go.

Wake up.

Why are you sleeping here?

Come.

You are here to find me?

Go back to sleep.

It's cold here, not good for your health.

What if you get sick?

Well.

Lvshui found me.

We should get out of here with Xiyan.

Lvshui can find here.

So will Hu Yong.

Yes, we should go now.

We can't get village Jun get involved.

But I will miss the villagers.

I want to say good bye to them.

No.

The less they know, the safer they are.

We have no time to lose, go.

I have told you, don't come again.

My answer is no.

Xiangqin.

Why it's you?

The Purple Garden was attacked.

I escaped out of there.

I led a vagrant life along the way.

Finally I survived.

Unconsciously I arrived in Gongyue.

And the local people say you are the crown princess.

So I am here, barefaced.

I am homeless now.

Please take me in.

I am sorry for what I did to you and Xiaowuyi in Purple Garden.

But I didn't mean that.

Sister, you know how hard to survive in Purple Garden.

I had no choice.

Sister.

Come, stand up.

Xiangqin.

We grow up together.

I will help you.

Sister, you are so kind and generous.

I will be loyal to you.

You are my only old friend here.

Western Region and Central Plains are different.

It's so good to have you.

Sister, you are so kind.

To repay you, I have something to tell you.

The truth of the jade.

Hua Jinxiu put the jade in your room.

She scapegoated you.

What did you say?

Lady Feiyan gave the jade to Hua Jinxiu.

That day, Hua Jinxiu came to Lirui tower, crying.

She talked a lot about your affair with Song Minglei to slander you.

Lady Feiyan was furious.

After that, I knew Hua Jinxiu wanted to leave Ronbao hall

because of Liu Yansheng's sexual assault.

So she scapegoated you.

Impossible.

Jinxiu won't do that.

Sister, you are so kind.

Think.

Why Hua Jinxiu replaced you right away?

And how could Lady Feibai know Hua Jinxiu?

Sister.

I am telling you the truth.

Stop talking.

Why the young sister almost made me a cripple?

The elder sister came to take care of me?

Everyone in the Purple Garden praised her.

But she poisoned in my medicine.

Sisters Hua almost ruined my life.

I will make you pay.

So you think you still have any options?

Eat or starve to death?

It's your decision to make.

I won't die in your hands anyway.

What are you doing?

I will take you out of the family.

Fengding, leave here.

And then?

I will protect you forever.

I'm not going anywhere.

You want to die here?

No, he won't lock me here forever.

I am his wife.

Jinxiu.

Stop it.

Go.

Go...

How's she?

She is still dreaming the lord can change his mind.

Go.

Add five spoons of salt to her rancid rice.

Drink no water.

Yes.

Naming the crown prince is a state affair.

I want to hear your opinions.

Your Majesty, I think second prince is talented and virtuous.

He should be the crown prince.

Yes.

The second prince is the best candidate for the throne.

Xu'er.

You are so popular.

Yuan Qingjiang helped your father with the throne.

So what he hates most is the prince's collusion

with the important ministers.

Once all the ministers recommend your brother for the crown prince,

he will be your father's eyesore.

Your Majesty, second prince is the best option for the crown prince.

Your Majesty.

The second prince is young.

But he is talented and enterprising like the rising sun.

We are so lucky to have him.

Lord Jin.

Yes.

They all recommended second prince.

Why are you silent?

Because I regret for what I said yesterday.

About what?

Yesterday I strongly recommended the second prince.

Now I am on second thought.

Why?

Because second prince came to see me last night.

He asked me to recommend him.

I thought second prince attached the importance to the country.

Rather than his personal interests.

I didn't expected second prince would

be so impulsive at the critical time.

It's so difficult for me to make judgement.

After last night, I thought a lot.

I want to revoke my previous recommendation.

Great, lord Jin.

You are not in collusion with anyone.

You set a good example for our country.

I have the best choice of the crown prince.

From now on, we will take actions in two groups.

One group blocks the mountain and

hunts down Hua Rosemallow and Duan Yuerong.

The other group will go to search village Jun.

Yes.

Go there.

Village Jun, go...

Nobody.

Hu Yong found us.

I need to go back and tell them.

You will die if you go back now.

But they are sure that village Jun hides us.

I am familiar with terrain.

I can go back faster than them.

So I can tell them to run.

No.

They want us.

As long as he can't find us, at most they will leave after the looting.

But if they catch you, all the village will die with you.

Hu Yong is firm that village Jun hides us.

I need to tell them to go.

Ok.

Let's go back together.

No.

You run with Xiyan.

She is too young. We can't let her take the risk.

You can take risks.

I can, too.

Why she can't take risks?

If they really catch us, we three just die here.

I will be distracted if you go back with me.

Don't worry, I will go to meet you when I am safe.

I won't go?

Go or not?

I will wait for you at the foot of the mountain.

Ok.

Bad news.

Say it.

Some robbers come up the mountain.

Robber?

Robbers, come on?

Some bandit soldiers.

The leader is Hu Yong.

I saw them.

So I am here to tell you this.

What should we do? We should run.

If they come up the mountain, we have no way to go.

It's too late to run now.

I can stop them from coming up the mountain.

All the men follow me.

Ok, we will do as you say.

Everyone follows him.

Go...

Come with me.

Hurry.

Go...

Come.

Crown prince.

Why are you still wearing dress?

Hu Yong's men are outside.

I won't come here to see you if I don't wear dress.

Well.

You need to find the safest place for her.

She needs milk.

She, why do you have a baby?

Not mine.

It's mine.

Whatever.

Fine the safest place for her anyway.

What's wrong?

It's none of your concern whether I have a baby or not.

Crown prince.

I didn't expect you would find my camellia along the way.

And you even get here.

I was so worried when I knew Hu Yong

would search the mountain to find you.

I didn't expect you would come down the mountain.

So good to see you here.

Who do you think I am?

I know you best.

I come here.

But Rosemallow is still in the village.

I can't let Hu Yong kill all the villagers.

We have 10,000 soldiers in secret right?

Now it's the time.

I need you to kill Hu Yong and save the village with the soldiers.

These soldiers are the last guarantee of your family.

Now the emperor prepares to launch an attack against your father.

You can't mobilize the soldiers to save a village at this moment.

Nonsense.

Hua Rosemallow and I would have died on the mountain without the villagers.

I brought them the disaster.

Not to mention, now we need to subdue Hu Yong.

Then we can take Hua Rosemallow back to Nanguo.

Hu Yong will stand a trial.

So I can prove my innocence to save myself and my father.

But...

No but.

My decision is final.

Because of the emperor's suspicious and house arrest.

I have ambushed the soldiers in Wozhou just in case.

If we go back and mobilize them,

first, we will be spotte for raising men and horses in private.

It's a big sin.

Second,

Wozhou is far away from here.

It will be so late when we get back here.

Ok.

How many people do you have here this time?

Two thousand.

Two thousand.

We are outnumbered.

We need to make good preparation.

How many people at the foot of the mountain?

A thousand.

One thousand, not enough.

I should ambush in the official road.

So we can make it perfect from both inside and outside.

I have learned a little art of war from you.

Crown prince, I have ambushed 800 men in official road.

Brilliant.

But if I were you, I would ambush the rear mountain for double check.

That terrain is good for observation and siege.

Don't worry, I have ambushed 800 men there.

800 men.

800 plus 800 plus 1000.

It's 2600.

You just told me 2000 right?

I have told you.

I know you best.

Why do I think you still have more secrets?

You just told me you transferred the soldiers to Wozhou right?

You are very suspicious.

I need you to mobilize all soldiers.

I will go to save village Jun and Hua Rosemallow.

I don't believe I can't go to village Jun.

Intelligence.

Marshal.

Another path to village Jun is blocked too.

We can't go up the mountain for a while.

They blocked the way so obviously.

I am sure Duan Yuerong and Hua Rosemallow are in the village

Soldiers.

We need to find out the way at all costs.

They withdraw.

They withdraw...

Great.

Mr. Mowen.

Such a good idea.

Hu Yong has withdrawn because of the blocked entrance.

Great.

Blocking the way is just an expedient.

Hu Yong is brutal.

He has looted many nearby villages.

I'm afraid it he is very angry now.

I am sure he will have a new way to find us.

What should we do?

We should find a new land in the mountain.

Mr. Mowen.

Our village has been here for five hundred years.

This is our hometown.

We will never leave here.

But you will die here.

Mr. Mowen.

You don't understand.

If we have no hometown, we don't want to live anymore.

We will never leave.

We will fight hard against them.

Yes...

Mr. Mowen.

You have nothing to do with the village.

Thank you for helping us.

You should go.

Patriarch.

You treat us like your family.

How can I leave without you?

I will stay and protect homeland with you.

Bad news.

Hu Yong found out our ancient entrance.

They are digging now.

If they go smooth, how long will it take?

About five or six days.

Xiaoyu, how many people do they have?

At least 3000.

3000.

So many.

I know how to make devices.

If you believe me, I can design devices and ambush,

based on the terrain.

We can't let them come up the mountain.

Mr. Mowen.

You see much of the world.

You should lead us to fight the battle.

We will leave it to you.

Fu'er is not as smart as Xu'er.

Your Majesty.

You really name Fu'er as the crown prince?

The decree is issued.

And it's settled.

Actually, I wanted to choose Xu'er, no matter what he did.

But his mother died at the age of eighteen.

He has no ministers to trust.

It's perfectly understandable that he wants to rope ministers in.

In fact, on talent or resourcefulness,

Xu'er is eligible for the crown prince.

I see them grow up.

I love them both.

I can tell Fu'er to give the title to Xu'er.

We still have a long time.

We still don't know who can inherit my throne for sure.

Xu'er is young.

And I will forget his mistake this time.

From now on, I will give him more tests.

He is a good talent if everything goes right.

Yes, your Majesty.

You are in the prime.

We will talk about this in the future.

I love your disinterest most.

So good to have you.

Why is father so partial?

I have worked so hard

I still didn't get father's recognition.

In the end, he is the crown prince.

Mother, what should I do?

Stop complaining.

Your brother is talented.

I have a big happy event.

Happy event?

My nephew Wang Huanli

28, unmarried.

I will ask the emperor to grant Xuan Benxu's marriage.

I almost forgot Huanli.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

Guangqian, just like you said,

Xuan Benfu moves to East palace.

So now you need to get Xuan Benfu.

If you can ally with him, you can take the throne with father.

Or you can take the whole court.

You have a strong army and a good ally at the same time.

You will be father's heir.

I used to dream of being people like you.

All I hope is that father would recognize me.

Now I realize I am not that stuff.

So every day I am unhappy.

But now I finally understand you are my helper.

Flattered.

Bring it here.

This is the commander-in-chief's seal of Westwing.

You can dispatch Westwing as you want with it.

I give it to you today.

Brother.

You believe me so much?

You are not afaird that father will blame you?

You are my great hand.

In the future, we will stay united.

I can get what I want so soon.

Brother.

In the future, I will do everything for you.

Song Minglei predicts the stranger far away from him accurately.

He even knows me.

Even more, he sees through my heart.

It's ok if he is loyal to me.

Otherwise it will be so scary.
