[Episode 5]

Mr. Glasses.

Tell this to Mr. Ou.

We'll take good care of Kexin.

Go.

Are you sure about it?

Okay, I understand.

Sir.

I sought confirmation from the people in Paris.

The fire didn't just burn down one house.

It also involved

two villas on the side.

The Council of Paris has filed the case.

Once Kexin goes back,

there's going to be trouble.

How much trouble?

It was considered arson.

According to French law,

she'll be sentenced to

at least three years in prison.

Can we bail her out?

It's such a big case.

The judge won't grant bail.

What a troublemaker.

No wonder she came back in a hurry.

It's to run away from a lawsuit.

Look it up.

In which countries can she get a visa?

As long as it's not countries around Asia,

send her away quickly.

In her current situation,

she can't obtain long-term residency

from any country.

Think again.

Do you have any good ideas?

Have you heard?

The new officer.

The Drug Task Force's commissioner is here

in the director's office.

Have we met him before?

No.

He looks young.

Coming to Yungang right now,

he must have an important mission.

How would I know?

Captain Bao, do you know anything?

Why are you guys so nosy?

Mind your own business.

This commissioner is so ostentatious.

He only talks to his superiors.

We've waited for so long.

He didn't even greet us.

Mr. Bao.

You're a gossiper too.

I'm just curious.

Curious?

[Yungang Public Security Bureau]

Let me introduce you.

This is Rong Yao.

Drug Task Force commissioner from

the Provincial Public Security Bureau.

He took part

in many apprehensions

of transnational drug cartels.

Bullseyes.

[Shooting Range]

He has undergone difficult tasks

in the Golden Triangle,

South America, and Russia.

In terms of drug enforcement,

he has more experience

than any of us.

From now on,

our Drug Task Force

will be led by Rong Yao.

Let's welcome him.

Rong Yao, sit.

Rong Yao.

Explain the current situation.

Okay.

I won't beat around the bush.

Li Yimeng.

Present!

Open this.

Yes.

Give me the remote.

This is the latest data

from the Ministry of Public Security,

Interpol National Central Bureau of China.

This batch of a new drug named G3307

has invaded

numerous South American countries.

Creating this drug

no longer relies on Ephedrine

because it's specially made

in the lab.

Its addictiveness

and destructiveness to the nervous system

are 20 times higher

than Methamphetamine

with a purity

above 90%.

Twenty times?

[Yungang Public Security Bureau]

A little of that will ruin you.

Not only a little.

Putting one-sixth of a gram

in a 300ml beverage

is enough to make

10 people to get addicted to this drug.

The drug is fermented in South America.

It's running wild.

It's ready to be sold in the markets

of North America and other countries.

The world's drug task force

will soon face

a huge trial.

The owner of the recipe

for this new ingredient is Spectre.

I don't have any precise information

about this person.

But we already have

reliable intel.

The local drug cartel,

Group K's owner, Mr. Ou,

has made contact with Spectre.

Do you mean

Mr. Ou has obtained G3307?

We're not sure yet.

Even though G3307

hasn't reached our shores,

Mr. Ou and Spectre

have already made contact.

In Asia,

he didn't just contact Mr. Ou.

He's also close with Nation R's drug lord,

Bunichi Matsumoto.

In our eyes,

he could very well choose

between Mr. Ou and Bunichi Matsumoto.

So, if we want to stop

this drug crisis from the roots,

we need to find a man named Spectre.

Destroy G3307 from the source.

We can't waste any time.

This is a mutual request

from China and the International drug task forces.

Take a look.

This is Jimmy.

42 years old.

A transnational drug dealer

in Interpol files.

We have intel.

Recently, this man appeared in multiple nightclubs here

and conducted organized drug trafficking.

For this kind of slippery loach

to show up suddenly,

there's only one reason.

In recent years,

Yungang has cracked a lot of drug cases.

But these cases

are just the tip of the iceberg.

The drug trafficking network

hidden underneath is horrendous.

Finding this Jimmy

is an important clue

to tip over this iceberg.

Justice will always prevail.

But that depends on

the effort of every one of us here.

I hope you remember

the responsibility you bear.

You have 20 minutes

to get to know this person.

After that, let's have a meeting

and discuss Jimmy's arrest tonight.

Do you have any questions?

I have a question.

I'll answer your questions.

The rest,

do as Rong Yao says.

Come to my office.

[Yungang Public Security Bureau]

[Yungang Public Security Bureau]

[Name: Jimmy, Gender: Male, Birthdate: May 15th, 1976, Age: 42]

I'm not convinced.

Why not?

How much does he know about Yungang's situation?

How much does he know about Group K?

This Group K.

I'm in charge of the whole shebang.

Mr. Liu, why do you trust

an outsider so much?

The mighty dragon is no match

for the native serpent, right?

He's the mighty dragon.

You're the native serpent.

Why do you speak like

you're in a martial arts world?

-It's an analogy. -What's the point?

Do you think you should be promoted?

Mr. Liu, that's not...

Come in.

Mr. Liu.

Am I interrupting?

Rong Yao! Perfect timing.

Here.

Captain Bao.

Don't you have something

to tell Rong Yao?

Tell him.

Spectre is like a ghost.

Dozens of countries want to catch him.

He hasn't made a move in two years.

We don't even know what he looks like.

How can you arrest him?

Based on the fact

that he'll most likely appear in Yungang.

Here's some information.

Take a look.

Are you that sure?

You should read about it first.

I'm very sure.

Rong Yao.

Do you have anything to say?

Captain Bao is an expert.

But he isn't someone I need.

-So, I... -Whether Captain Bao is an expert or not,

you can't just jump to conclusions.

Whether he's someone you need,

you can't decide on that

after meeting him once or twice.

So,

Jimmy's arrest

is the beginning

of your candidate selection.

Do what's best.

Mr. Liu.

You understand me the most.

I know what's best for me.

I know you too well.

Yours and mine

might not mean the same.

I see.

I hope you really understand what I meant.

For what's best.

Cheers to our three million!

Bottoms up.

What are you doing? Cheers.

What are you doing?

-Come on. -Bottoms up.

Bottoms up.

Look at how happy you are.

I know that Mr. Ou

won't let you leave, right?

Of course.

But the play has to go well.

Don't you agree?

So the incident in France three years ago,

were you acting too?

I don't love acting that much.

That one was real.

My boyfriend of three years

flirted with another woman in front of me.

I can't grin and bear it.

That's why you started the fire.

He was lucky.

I almost burned him up.

That's amazing.

Tell me how you did it.

Are you crazy?

Aren't you afraid?

What for? It's so thrilling!

I think

you should pay us the 500,000 back.

Make me happy.

Not only 500,000,

but I'll even give you 1 million.

Let's talk again

after you return us the one million.

Let's talk again after you make me happy.

I'm going to dance.

Our Ms. Ou

is such an outlier.

Spoiled and stubborn.

Do you like her?

What?

Do you like her?

What are you saying?

Tell me what's happening.

Where is she going to stay?

I wanted her to stay with me.

But she chose you.

Don't try to trick me.

I need my personal space.

I'm telling you.

It's a set-up from Glasses.

He left the difficult task to us.

But after I analyzed it objectively,

staying at your place is better.

Aren't you tempted

by her all this while?

Let her stay at your place.

Temptations are temptations.

She's my godsister.

If she stays at my place,

I can only abide if she bullies me.

How upsetting.

What if I have

something else going on?

It's inconvenient.

Is my place more convenient?

In your dreams.

She'll stay at your place.

You can move into my guest room.

All right.

Let's do as you say.

Shake it!

What's wrong?

What are you looking at?

Do you see that Caucasian man over there?

Who's that?

Why is he here?

Ms. Ou, let's go.

I'm still dancing.

-Let's go! -I'm not leaving.

What?

Bye.

What are you doing?

I'm not done yet.

Do you hear me?

Hurry up. Take a taxi home.

You'll be the one driving me home.

I'm busy.

Go home by yourself.

Busy?

I got it.

You're going out with another girl.

Don't you have better things to say?

If that's not the case,

take me to the car.

It's so dark.

I'm a woman.

I'm scared.

Okay, I'll go with you.

That's right. Let's go.

Did you see that?

Delivery and payment are separate.

They are experts.

Who's this Jimmy?

I saw him once two years ago.

Back then,

he was still with Xiaofoye.

Xiaofoye?

Dakun's man.

Is Jimmy still with Xiaofoye now?

I don't know.

A while ago,

I heard he's on the wanted list.

He vanished.

If he's wanted, why did he come out?

Do you think

Dakun has his eyes on our VIVI?

Dakun already messed up

some of our turfs.

Right now, VIVI is the hottest one.

If he still has ideas,

I can't let that happen.

What should we do next?

I'll sound that Jimmy out.

Don't say anything. Watch me.

Jimmy!

Hey, man.

Long time no see.

-How have you been? -It has been a while.

Let me introduce you.

This is my partner, Mu Qing.

-Mu Qing. -Jimmy.

I've heard of you.

But I haven't had the chance to meet you.

Your Mandarin is good.

You've been here for many years, right?

I studied abroad in Shanghai.

Why did you come to Yungang

instead of staying in Shanghai?

It's business, as you can see.

Business?

This turf isn't for you to do business.

It's only a venue.

Mu Qing.

Don't ruin our friendship.

I have something new.

Why don't you try it?

Go back and tell Xiaofoye.

Tell Dakun.

I don't care about the rest.

But this place is off-limits for you guys.

Got it?

But,

I'm comfortable here.

I don't want to move.

Are you going to hit me?

You?

I don't have to do it myself.

From now on,

we're officially going up against Dakun.

It'll happen sooner or later.

What can we do?

Besides, if we don't admit defeat,

if Mr. Ou gets word of this,

aren't the consequences worse?

For my godfather's sake.

If it weren't for my godfather,

I would've killed Dakun long ago.

Don't worry. I have an idea.

[Operating Room]

Is she okay?

Say something!

My sister is inside!

She's your fiancée!

How did you protect her?

How did you protect her?

Liu Yuanwen!

Pretty girl, are you alone?

Let go of me.

Don't go yet.

I'll take you somewhere nice later.

-What did you do? -How dare you?

I told you not to drink so much.

Why did you drink so much?

Hey, man.

This is my girlfriend.

-She's drunk. -So?

Don't take it to heart.

How dare she hit me?

Something is going on.

This isn't over yet.

Okay. How about this?

I apologize on her behalf.

I think they are after Jimmy.

Go out and get to the bottom of this.

Drink this up.

What are you saying?

Well, that's a little...

I'm giving you a face.

Do you understand? Listen to him.

Get in the way and I'll arrest you.

Are you leaving?

Hey.

Bao Yunhai, status report.

[Target not sighted.]

Keep searching.

Hello.

What's going on outside?

Plainclothes police on both sides.

I'm already out.

Get yourself out too.

I got it.

Let's split up and meet at home.

Got it.

-Yimeng, go to the front. -Yes!

Captain Rong, there's a back door.

Let's go!

Where are you going in such a hurry?

Mu Qing.

Mind your own business.

I'm a meddler.

Mu Qing,

let me tell you

the consequences of being nosy.

How was it?

We lost him.

There are so many officers here.

What were you doing?

Something unexpected happened, right?

They are worried about our safety.

Catching a suspect is more important or us?

You don't have to yell at us.

I'm telling you.

[From: Liu Hanshan]

[Jimmy is inside the trash bin in the back alley!]

The back alley. Go!

Stay still.

Thank you.

Are you okay?

I'm okay.

Fine, let me ask you.

Why didn't you hide the gun well

while on duty?

Do you know a small mistake

can be fatal?

Are you done?

I hope your self-review report

will be on my desk tomorrow morning.

Announce overnight interrogation.

I'll be there soon.

Stop.

Did you come here to tell me that?

If not?

Overnight interrogation.

Captain Rong...

What's wrong with him?

How would I know?

Fortunately, we didn't lose him.

Otherwise, it's a big mess.

Is it for me?

Drink it.

Thank you.

The cops are onto our turf.

Are you still in the mood to drink?

Gosh, you even had grapes.

Hey, man.

Our club

is a legit business.

Even if Jimmy is delivering goods,

it happened outside.

What does it have to do with us?

How I wish the police

could have caught him earlier.

Yes, caught him earlier.

My goodness.

Did you forget your promise?

You said you'll tell me

what my godfather told you.

You arrogant fool.

Gosh. Saying I'm arrogant, you...

Your godfather wants us

to become his pawns.

Within the Four Vajras,

mix it up.

Both of us.

Mix up the Four Vajras?

Apart from us, who else?

No, I meant

The Four Vajras follow Godfather

for over a decade.

What's the purpose of doing so?

Although Mr. Ou

fought hard for the group,

The Four Vajras

are the ones with power.

Like you told me before,

isn't Dakun in charge of sales?

Congtou is in charge

of the ingredients.

Tieguanyin owns the factory.

Glasses is always following Mr. Ou.

In this kind of situation,

if you were Mr. Ou,

aren't you worried?

It's not that serious.

Aren't you overthinking it?

This puddle is deep.

You're too shallow-minded.

Is that so?

In that case,

did we become the whipping boys?

That's what happened.

The grown-up world is so complicated.

Hear me out.

Aren't you the strategist?

You're the thinker.

Come up with a plan.

Come to a conclusion.

Just let me know.

I'm a little sleepy.

-I need to rest. -Wait, you...

Good night.

I...

Say something!

My sister is inside!

She's your fiancée!

How did you protect her?

How did you protect her?

Liu Yuanwen!

Why did he stop moving?

-Yes, he's been staring at it. -Exactly.

[Do you want to delete everything?]

[So Liu Yuanwen]

is the undercover agent you sent to Group K.

That's right.

How long?

More than two years.

Why didn't you tell me earlier?

It wasn't the time yet.

Rong Yao.

I'm worried.

You still can't let go of your past.

Why did this happen?

Why did this happen?

♫ Have my back pushed to the wall ♫

Why didn't you examine that car?

♫ Uncover every mask ♫

Why did you send Rong Yu?

Answer me!

♫ Every time I walk past here ♫

♫ I am drenched with confusion in the night ♫

♫ The rain in the morning ♫

♫ Have seen uncontrollable emotions ♫

If it weren't for him,

♫ I tell myself ♫

Rong Yu wouldn't have died.

Let me tell you again.

♫ Holding your hand ♫

Rong Yu's sacrifice

has nothing to do with Yuanwen.

♫ I walk out of this bustling city ♫

♫ And walk through this forest ♫

♫ To meet the most ferocious beast ♫

I know you won't.

From now on, many tasks

require you and Yuanwen

to work together as a team.

♫ The world is my playground ♫

I understand.

♫ Tearful smiles ♫

♫ When the sky lights up ♫

Hey.

What are you doing?

Nothing.

Nothing? That's good.

Go out with me tomorrow.

What?

Where are we going?

It's quite beautiful.

Are you going or not?

Okay. Fine.

Don't look at me.

Look at the sea.

You look better than the sea.

Thank you. Continue on.

Are you leaving?

Yes.

How boring.

If you break the law in my country,

please cooperate with our investigation.

Answer my questions.

Who is your connection?

Do you not understand?

Director Liu.

Rong Yao is impressive.

Arresting

and interrogating him in one day.

Okay.

Do you not understand English

or do you refuse to cooperate?

I don't understand

what nonsense you're saying.

Let me go!

Or I'll sue you

for abusing foreign tourists.

I want to see someone from the embassy!

When you sell drugs,

why didn't you go to the embassy?

In China,

the laws are strictly observed.

We have principles.

We don't bully the weak and fear the strong.

Frankly speaking,

I don't care which country you're from.

If you do something like this,

do you think the people from your embassy will come?

They won't.

Because they're ashamed of you.

From your accent,

I don't think you're Spanish.

You can speak Spanish.

So you can speak Mandarin.

Stop acting like you don't understand.

Do you need simultaneous interpretation?

Where did the drugs come from?

Where did the drugs come from?

Where did the drugs come from?

Where did the drugs come from?

Where did the drugs come from?

Let me ask you one last time.

Where did the drugs come from?

I got them from Xiaofoye.

You're good at languages.

Director Liu.

Why did Rong Yao show up

to arrest Jimmy?

You should've told me in advance.

I could've prepared myself.

It's my test for both of you.

Fortunately, you two work well together.

Does he still blame me?

Yuanwen.

Rong Yao is like you,

an experienced police officer.

So during this operation,

I didn't inform you.

You guys did a great job.

I'm satisfied.

Director Liu, you're too much.

Next time, you should tell me in advance.

You old geezer.

From Jimmy's overnight interrogation,

the line "Xiaofoye" has surfaced.

This is a great chance to get

some insight into Group K.

I've already prepared your office space.

You can start anytime.

And I decided

to transfer everyone

from Bao Yunhai's team to you.

They have drug task experience.

At the same time,

they know Group K's modus operandi.

Mr. Liu, I beg you.

Excluding Bao Yunhai,

I'll pick the others myself

to form a task force for a better chance of solving this case.

Have you decided on who to pick?

I have a rough idea.

In the last two days,

I screened all the police officers' resumes.

I'm almost done.

You punk.

Sure thing.

Make your choice and report to me.

Yes.

All right, park the car.

I'll go in first.

Remember to find me later.

Okay.

Hello, welcome.

This.

My goodness.

Which one looks good?

I'm asking you. Are you still sleeping?

Which one is better?

Whichever you think is better,

that's the better one.

I shouldn't have asked.

-How about this? I'll try them on. -Okay.

-Do you have shoes? -Yes.

-Then bring me a pair. -Okay.
