Maid Escort

Episode 22

Yin Ruo, these few days,

why don't I see Yang Xiao and Miss Yue anymore?

I guess Zi Yuan is busy.

You know her.

She and Yang Xiao are occupied

with the opening of the new trade route.

They've been busy every day.

You're right.

It's too bad that I'm injured.

There's nothing that I can do for them.

Anyway,

Officer Gu is assisting them.

Everything will go well.

And also Zheng Xiu from Qingfeng Village.

Fortunately, Gu Shu Yu

managed to save Zheng Xiu in time.

Otherwise, given Wang Jian's despicable ways,

Zheng Xiu would've met a tragic end.

Yin Ruo, if you have a chance,

you must explain to Zheng Xiu

that you had no choice.

I hope Zheng Xiu will not hold a grudge against you.

If it's necessary,

I will go to Qingfeng Village to offer her my apology.

Taking good care of your body is the top priority now.

Don't think about others.

Take a good rest.

Here.

I'm sorry, Young Master Yang.

I didn't mean to keep it from you.

Miss Bai,

is Young Master Yang getting any better today?

He's still the same.

He's taken the medicine and fallen asleep.

Yang Xiao?

Why did you drink so much?

Where is Zi Yuan?

And also Chief Zheng.

Chief Zheng is dead.

♫ Take the faint moonlight ♫

Zi Yuan wanted to avenge her,

so she went to look for Wang Jian.

♫ Let it creep gradually into sorrow ♫

I searched for her the whole day today,

but I couldn't find her anywhere.

♫ I write about the intense yearning ♫

I have no idea

♫ The bluestone alley in front of my door ♫

if she's dead or alive now.

It is all my fault.

I killed Zheng Xiu.

Even my brother is severely injured.

♫ Wobbles ♫

Zi Yuan.

I don't even know she is.

Everything is my fault!

♫ A maiden looks around with her bright eyes ♫

It's all my fault.

It's all my fault.

It's all my fault, it's all my fault.

Yang Xiao, I knew you'd be here.

Stop drinking.

There's something important I need to discuss with you.

What else can I do?

I am a loser!

Zi Yuan was right.

I was wrong in the first place!

I insisted on opening a new trade route!

If I hadn't done that, they would've been fine!

And now?

Chief Zheng is dead.

My brother is suffering from such a serious injury.

And Zi Yuan?

I don't even know her whereabouts now.

I don't even know if she's still alive.

I...

I killed all of them.

Don't say that.

If you act like this, I won't let you see Zi Yuan.

Do... Do you have any news about Zi Yuan?

Where... Where is she?

But you need to know

that these are not your fault,

but those who obstructed the opening of the new trade route.

So stop blaming yourself.

Where is Zi Yuan?

Take me to see her, will you?

If you still act like this,

when you see Zi Yuan,

both of you will fight again.

Alright. I won't do this anymore.

Take me to see Zi Yuan. I won't do this anymore.

Doesn't Yue Zi Yuan want to kill Wang Jian for revenge?

Now that Wang Rong has Wang Jian's back,

Wang Jian always goes to Wang Rong's house.

So we just have to standby around Wang Rong's house.

We will be able to wait for Yue Zi Yuan to come.

Could you take me there now?

Could you take me to see her?

Where is she now?

Take me to see her.

Let's go, let's go.

Let's go.

Qingfeng Camp

Qingfeng Camp

Yang Zhuo, I've let you down.

I will do anything it takes to heal your injury

to make up for my sins.

Little Yu'er, the weather is so hot.

What are you doing?

I'm telling you,

I don't have any money.

I have nothing!

Physician Duan, don't be afraid.

We mean no harm.

We just want you to save someone.

Here's the story.

My cousin, Bai Yin Ruo

would like to ask you to save Yang Zhuo.

He's Yang Xiao's older brother.

We will repay you generously after you do your job.

I won't go, I won't go!

I won't go no matter how much you pay me!

I regretted saving Yang Xiao.

Now,

I want to have nothing to do with the Yangs!

Physician Duan, don't reject us yet.

Saving a life is better than building a seven-storied pagoda for the god.

Yang Xiao is different.

To be honest, I don't like him either.

But Yang Zhuo is different from him.

Yang Zhuo is a good man.

Besides that,

he might be my cousin's husband.

If you refuse to save him,

my cousin will be...

Why don't you take a look at this letter first?

I'm willing to sacrifice myself and be your test subject.

Let's go! We have a life to save!

Physician Duan, please.

Come on, come on.

Zi Yuan, ever since Chief Zheng got arrested,

you've never taken a break.

If we keep waiting for Wang Jian here,

it will be too much for your body.

Zi Yuan, just listen to me.

Let's go back and rest.

We'll come here with Yang Xiao later,

shall we?

I want to catch Wang Jian

and avenge Zheng Xiu.

Before I succeed,

I don't want to see him.

Wang Residence

Zi Yuan, Wang Jian is out.

Come.

Yes.

Wang Residence

This is weird.

My lieutenant told me

that Yue Zi Yuan was here.

Why don't I see her?

Let's look for her at the back.

Wang Residence

Don't be dejected.

I'll go back to the barracks and send more people

to watch Wang Rong's residence.

We will find Yue Zi Yuan.

It's still early,

maybe Zi Yuan is hiding.

I'll go there later.

I might find her later.

Sure. Be careful.

I have work to do,

I shall excuse myself now.

Easy.

Finally, I can breathe freely.

Yang Xiao, you're here.

Physician Duan?

Yeah.

Physician Duan, what are you doing here?

What am I doing here? Listen to yourself.

I asked Zi Jun to invite Physician Duan over.

Are you here to treat my brother?

Back then,

I acquired Medicine King Valley and turned it into a chicken farm,

but that was because you went too far.

This time, don't you dare use this opportunity to take revenge

and bully my brother.

Look at you.

I'm not as senseless as you are.

Anyway, it's great that you're here.

Your brother's recovery period these few days

is very crucial.

There might be some instabilities.

But it is a normal sign.

Don't worry about it.

Miss Bai, I need to talk to you.

Miss Bai, remember what you said.

If you can't hold it any longer,

come see me anytime.

It is alright.

I will bear with it until he gets better.

Alright, sure.

Then I'll get going now.

Come, Yu'er. Let's go.

Miss Bai,

did you make a deal with him?

I...

I...

Miss Bai, this letter is for you.

Confidential

Thank you, Mistress.

Confidential

Miss Bai, meet me in the forest east of the city in the late afternoon.

Wang Jian

Wang Jian, why did you ask me here again?

I asked you out today

just to show you

my gratitude.

Gratitude?

Would you be so nice?

I've done the things you want.

I hope that you will stop bothering me.

I'm not bothering you.

You're our benefactor.

We're more than grateful.

If you hadn't told us

the location of Qingfeng Village,

would we have caught

those bandits so easily?

Besides that, we also caught their chief, Zheng Xiu, alive.

Since you've got what you want,

why won't you let me off the hook?

Miss Bai,

could you stop being so defensive

against me?

Zi Yuan, Miss Bai betrayed us.

Could this be true?

If you get on my nerves one day,

I will let the world know

that you betrayed Zheng Xiu.

I will tell your best friend, Yue Zi Yuan too.

Don't you think this is going to be a great show?

You...

Zi Yuan, don't get carried away.

This might be a trap that Wang Jian set up.

Where have they gone?

It's fine. It's alright.

It's fine, it's fine. Everything will be fine.

Bai Yin Ruo!

Zi Yuan!

How could you betray Chief

and our brothers in Qingfeng Village?

I didn't do it.

I didn't.

I didn't do it.

You didn't?

Because of you,

I joined Yang Xiao and became an armed escort.

When our lives were in danger,

it was Chief who saved us.

When I was down,

it was Chief who drank with me.

When I met danger,

she rescued me by putting her life on the line!

After Yang Xiao fell off the cliff,

I was in a coma for seven days and seven nights.

It was Chief who stayed by my side

and took care of me!

Bai Yin Ruo, to me,

Chief is more than just a sworn sister.

She is my family!

Back then, you misjudged me over and over again,

but I didn't blame you.

But you've repeated your mistakes,

and made her pay with her life!

Bai Yin Ruo!

Did she do you any wrong?

How could you betray them?

I...

You don't even know anything.

How could you say that to me?

If you and Yang Xiao

hadn't insisted on opening a new trade route

and implicated so many people,

would it have come to this?

Yue Zi Yuan,

everything that happened today

was caused by you and Yang Xiao!

I just didn't want

to make the same mistake you were making.

Bai Yin Ruo, you...

Chief, it was her.

It was...

It was Yin Ruo.

Why would she do that?

Why would she reveal

the location of Qingfeng Village?

Why?

Why?

Chief, it's my fault.

If it weren't for me,

Yin Ruo would not have been here.

If it weren't for me,

Yin Ruo wouldn't have met you.

If... If it weren't for me...

If it weren't for me, all this wouldn't have happened.

Zheng Xiu's Grave

Chief, I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

Zheng Xiu's Grave

I'm sorry.

It's all my fault.

Miss Yue.

Zheng Xiu's Grave

Da Li, Da Bao.

Is Bai Yin Ruo the person

who revealed the location of Qingfeng Village?

Regarding this,

I will get to the bottom of it.

Don't think too much.

Yinfeng Pavilion

Mistress.

Zi Yuan.

They are the brothers of Chief.

Please assist them to settle down.

Don't worry.

Zi Yuan, why do you look so tired?

Are you alright?

I'm fine.

Da Bao, Da Li,

just stay here for the time being.

Thank you, Miss Yue. Thank you, Mistress.

Thank you.

I have something to do. I should leave now.

Mistress, is Miss Bai, Bai Yin Ruo

staying here as well?

Yes.

She's been taking care of Yang Zhuo here.

Anyway, I bet you must be hungry now.

Yinfeng Pavilion

Come in first.

Sure. I'm hungry.

Zi Yuan.

I brought you your favourite osmanthus wine.

Wine

Zi Yuan, I'm sorry.

I searched for you for the past few days,

Guiyue State

but I couldn't find you everywhere.

When I was alone,

many thoughts flashed across my mind.

The tragedy of Chief Zheng,

my bedridden brother,

the changes of Miss Bai,

and something that I haven't seen for quite a while,

your smile.

I insisted on opening a new trade route...

and neglected the most precious...

and the most important person to me.

Because of me,

these tragedies occurred.

All these tragedies

are my fault.

Guiyue State

It's not your fault.

It was my fault back then.

I was too impulsive.

I said so many hurtful things

and hurt you.

I didn't mean it.

I'm sorry.

In fact, it's perfectly normal

for you to be angry.

It was me who didn't know what was going on.

I didn't empathise with what you were going through.

Instead, I turned against you...

and tried to stop you.

No matter what you're doing in the future,

I will support you

and stay by your side.

I will stand by you.

Guiyue State

You're right.

We must find the proof

so that we can catch all the culprits.

Yang Xiao,

thank you.
