(Episode 89)

They killed my dad too.

He was investigating my death, and they killed him!

Ha Ra stopped Se Rin from giving him his insulin shot.

My dad could've lived!

But they killed him!

Hey. You wanted to see me?

Do you know how Eun Jo's father passed away?

How he passed away?

Do you know?

Eun Jo told me.

She said that he died because of Ha Ra and Se Rin.

Why did they do that to him?

I think...

it was because he was investigating Eun Jo's death.

Actually, he had asked me at Eun Jo's funeral...

who placed the lettering order for Fiery Pants.

It was from Se Rin's school.

Now that I think about it,

I think Ha Ra and Se Rin did it on purpose...

to keep me from going to Eun Jo's bachelorette party.

Ha Ra and Se Rin didn't give him his insulin shot...

in case he'd find out what they had done?

They really need to be punished.

But I feel bad for Eun Jo that her revenge went up in smoke.

I feel so sorry for her.

We have to make Ha Ra and Se Rin pay.

I'll request a reinvestigation.

You want to pass it onto the cops?

Do you think I didn't think of that?

I want to run to the cops and tell them everything.

But they're not that easy.

They'll weasel their way out of it somehow.

You work at Jewang. You know.

You know that family.

They won't let Ha Ra go to jail.

And Se Rin is also basically their slave.

Still, we can't let them go unpunished.

Ha Ra and Se Rin need to beg Eun Jo for forgiveness.

They have to pay for what they did.

That's the only way Eun Jo can heal at least a little.

(Female Detective X)

Delete all of this?

The writer won't stand for it.

Listen. Hwang Ga Heun is the writer.

You heard about how she lied to Ji Na Hwang...

and impersonated her daughter...

and was caught recently.

That's right. I got the call from Ji Na Hwang.

Real life is much more like a movie than movies.

I marked all the texts and lines...

that I don't like,

so delete them all.

Especially the love story.

Listen, Ha Ra.

If we take that out completely just because you don't like it,

it messes up the emotions that are at the foundation.

Without that, the energy is lost. So is the motive.

It'll make the main character just a psychotic freak.

Why does a mystery thriller need a love story?

Sir, I don't do love stories.

Ha Ra. This is...

way too simplistic an approach.

It's outrageous to demand removing scenes that were already shot.

You want to cut lines and scenes.

You're trying to maim the writer and the director!

And you should think about the other actors!

I'm the star!

My mom is the investor of this movie.

Need I go on?

Here you go.

What is this?

Why am I a princess?

- Mr. Kang. - Yes, ma'am.

You know PsychoFreakX, who posts nasty comments about me?

Yes.

Find him or her and press charges.

Excuse me?

Isn't that a bit extreme?

How is it extreme?

Wait until I catch that jerk.

I'll break every single finger.

Darn it.

(Hoon's Dad)

Ha Ra. Do you even want to ask Eun Jo for forgiveness?

That's so random. What are you talking about?

Do you mean what you told me at the hotel...

that I should ask her for forgiveness?

But sorry.

I'm not ready yet.

And it's not like she'd forgive me.

Then what were you planning to do about killing her father?

Honey.

How did you find out?

Sincerely apologize and turn yourself in.

If you don't turn yourself in, I'll take matters into my own hands.

What will you do?

Do you have proof?

Do you have proof that I killed Eun Jo's father?

I have that proof.

Proof? We can just investigate and find it.

I'm only giving you a chance...

to turn yourself in because you're Hoon's mom.

I don't need it.

You'll investigate?

Be my guest.

I'm Oh Ha Ra.

I'm Jewang Group's princess Oh Ha Ra.

You know how my father is.

My father will not let his daughter go to prison.

Where is it?

Where's Mapsy Nature?

The design book should be here somewhere.

What's this?

Not bad.

Okay. I'll keep this.

What are you doing here?

What are you doing at Ms. Hwang's desk?

Where's Mapsy Nature's design book?

I can't find it anywhere.

Why are you looking for it?

At someone else's desk, too.

Someone else's desk?

This will be my desk from now on.

Once I become chief manager, I'm going to redo the office.

Should I change the team members too?

- That's a great idea. - That's a great idea.

We'll go to HR and request a transfer.

I will never accept you as chief manager of the new brand.

Me neither. Ms. Hwang Ga Heun is the only manager I'll work for.

What's their problem?

Hey! I'm going to fire you both!

(Mr. Cha Sun Hyuk)

(Goeun Shopping Center Kickback Data)

Mr. Cha. You wanted to see me?

What is it?

Ms. Geum ordered you...

to assign me chief manager of the new brand, right?

Se Rin. Turn yourself in for killing Eun Jo's father.

What?

What did you just say?

Turn myself in?

That's right. If you don't, I'll turn you in myself.

Sun Hyuk. Why should I turn myself in?

I did nothing wrong.

What?

You didn't give him his insulin shot!

Tell me. Do you have proof?

Do you have proof that I did that?

You sound just like Ha Ra.

The police will find proof if they reinvestigate.

No, they won't.

DDM Queen has the security footage from that night.

Then go right ahead.

But you have to realize...

it was Ha Ra, not me, that ultimately caused his death.

Sure. No one is blameless if you dig deep enough.

Let's say they prove that Ha Ra is a murderer.

Do you think Jewang Group will let her go to prison?

People like them don't go to prison that easily.

The same goes for me.

I have a weapon that will make Jewang protect me.

You can do everything you want. You can't change anything.

You should know your enemy before you start a fight.

Se Rin. You plan to deny it too.

It's me. There's a case I'd like you to reinvestigate.

Father.

I heard Ji Na Hwang came by yesterday.

That's right. She brought her husband's suicide note...

from 30 years ago.

She lied to me about being Oman president's fiancee...

and planned to stab me in the back.

But thanks to her dementia, she admitted it all to me.

Why don't you clear up the misunderstanding now?

- If you apologize... - Ha Jun.

As I told you before,

a businessman should not apologize that easily.

And now that I know what Ji Na Hwang is after,

I know it's not that simple to resolve.

You couldn't forget what happened for 30 years...

because of your guilt.

Hey, kid.

Are you worried about your dad?

A 30-year-old grudge...

won't melt away just because I do something.

It won't disappear...

until Ji Na Hwang disappears.

I have no legal responsibility for his death.

You have no responsibility?

Sure. He's a lowlife who drove my husband to suicide.

Demanding he take responsibility is too humane.

Mr. Wang.

Call an emergency board meeting for Jewang Group.

This is my right as a large shareholder.

I'll propose dismissing the chairman at the board meeting.

Before then,

publish articles...

about what happened 30 years ago and all the companies...

that were hurt by Jewang Group.

This is a list of assemblymen who took money from Oh Byeong Gook.

Give it to Chairman Tak, the man who holds power these days.

Furthermore, take my shares...

in Jewang's subsidiaries...

and offer them for sale to its competitors.

I'll chop up Jewang Group and dissolve it.

That's what you dirtbags did to my husband's company.

I'll return the favor and do it right back to you.

Ma'am. I'll do everything you ordered.

But first, let's go eat.

You haven't eaten in two days.

I haven't eaten?

Oh dear. Look at the time.

I'll take you somewhere nice.

Okay. I'm hungry.

I feel like I've been here before.

You'll remember once you taste the food.

Do you remember?

This is where I first met you.

I first met you here?

Hey.

When will you give me my money?

If your dead husband left behind debt,

his wife should pay it off.

Give me a little time. Just a little more time.

I need to make money so that I can pay you.

How many times have you said that?

You have this restaurant. Why aren't you paying us?

Why are you treating my mom like this?

I'll pay you back.

Look at this little twerp. Stay out of it.

Actually, he can bring in good money.

Sell him to a fishing boat.

- No. Don't take my son. - Get back.

Mom! Are you okay?

You'll never make enough money from this dinky restaurant.

Is money more valuable than a human life?

Who are you, old lady?

Will this do?

This will do.

I wish you success.

You're a nice lady.

My gosh. That money...

You worked your fingers to the bone to make that money.

I'm so sorry you lost it.

Thank you.

I swear I'll pay back that money you lent us.

I'll pay it back somehow.

Don't bother making money by being servile.

If you become the type of man your mom wants you to be,

then I'll let you pay me back.

I remember.

I remember how the noodles your mother made tasted as well.

You came to me after she passed away.

It tastes similar.

But your mom's were better.

Ms. Hwang. That was when I realized...

that I couldn't repay you with just money.

That was why I promised myself...

that I'd give my life to serve you.

Even if you keep losing your memory,

I'll stand by you for the rest of my life...

and protect you as you protected my mom and me.

Thank you for lunch.

But wasn't there a snack shop...

where I used to get dessert after having noodles here?

The fortune cookies?

- It's still there. - Good.

I'll be right back.

Ms. Ji Na Hwang, right?

Who...

You're looking for your real daughter, right?

Do you know my Ga Heun?

Where is she?

I know the person who has her.

Let's go. I'll take you there.

Okay.

Ma'am!

What's wrong? What is it?

Na Wook Do abducted Mom.

What? He abducted her?

I have to go. I have to go to Mom.

I'll go with you.

Why doesn't Soon Jung come around anymore?

She's busy preparing to open her own franchise location.

I thought she already signed all the contracts.

Gosh. The friendship of widows...

is already broken.

Gosh. It's because...

you do such good work, that...

What am I saying?

Why doesn't she even call?

These are unexcused absences.

Seriously. Not long ago,

she was your endlessly beautiful Soon Jung...

and gibberish like that. What's wrong with you?

After being hit by flowers a few times...

Speak of the devil.

Hi, Soon Jung.

Cho Shim.

Hey. Are you crying?

What?

What? Hey. Soon Jung.

Stop crying. Tell me what's wrong.

What is it? What happened this time?

Those horrible human beings are gone now.

One of them is here.

Goodness.

Why are you both sitting there crying?

Goodness. You got your house back...

as well as the shopping center.

Those despicable low-life father and daughter are gone.

You should be laughing and enjoying life...

every minute of every day.

Why are you sobbing?

She's back.

She's back? Who is?

Ga Heun came back to being Eun Jo.

Seriously. Eun Gyul! You need to give it a rest.

Snap out of it, will you?

I think something happened to Ms. Hwang.

Eun Jo won't tell me what though.

Soon Jung. Why are you talking nonsense?

Eun Jo isn't here. Gosh.

You're so frustrating!

Ga Heun is Eun Jo!

Eun Jo got us our house back!

Eun Jo got you your house back?

Hey! How could Eun Jo get your house back when she's dead?

Cho Shim. Eun Jo...

didn't die.

Ga Heun is Eun Jo.

We thought she was dead,

but she came back.

What... What did you say?

Hey...

Are you saying...

Hwang Ga Heun...

really is Ko Eun Jo?

- Yes. - Yes.

What? That makes no sense...

Oh my gosh!

- Ms. Yoon! - Cho Shim!

- Ms. Yoon! - Cho Shim!

Oh no. Cho Shim!

Why aren't you calling yet, Wook Do?

Did he get rid of Ji Na Hwang yet?

Hello?

What happened?

I came to the mountain to bury her.

I'll take care of it. Don't worry.

This is so not how I do things.

Must I bury a demented old woman?

The mountain looks so dangerous.

She'll die on her own after wandering out there.

No. I buried Ga Heun but she made it out alive.

No, no. She's immortal.

Yes. That's what I can do.

An accident. I'll kill her without directly killing her.

Wake up.

Where are we?

If you keep walking up this path,

you'll find the person who has your daughter.

My daughter? Ga Heun?

- That way? - Yes.

- That mountain? - Yes.

Just keep going.

You'll see it if you keep walking.

Ga Heun.

It's Mom.

The sun will set soon. She won't make it back alive.

I'm sorry about this.

She'll survive if she's lucky like Ga Heun did.

Ms. Hwang!

Mr. Wang.

Where's Mom? Did you find her?

I'm sorry. I lost Na Wook Do's car around here.

I think he brought her here to hurt her.

Eun Jo.

Did you call the police?

Yes, I reported her kidnapping.

She doesn't have her phone on her, so we can't locate her.

We can't wait for the police to arrive.

We must find Mom.

Let's split up and look.

Okay. I'll go this way.

Eun Jo. Call me if anything happens.

- Okay? - Okay, I will.

Ms. Hwang! Where are you?

Answer me if you hear me!

Ms. Hwang!

Ms. Hwang!

Ms. Hwang!

Mom!

Where are you?

It's me, Ga Heun!

It's me, Ga Heun! Mom!

Please call out to me if you hear me!

Mom!

Mom. You have to stay alive.

Please.

Mom!

Keep going? This way?

Just keep going?

My... My Ga Heun is here.

I've been...

Mom.

- Ga Heun? - Mom.

Ga Heun. Ga Heun?

Mom.

Ga Heun!

Ga Heun. Where are you going?

Mom's here.

Ga Heun!

Ga Heun! Ga Heun!

Ga Heun! Where are you going?

Ga Heun?

Ga Heun.

Where are you going? Ga Heun!

Ga Heun!

Mom.

Where are you, Mom?

Mom!

Mom. Mom!

Mom! Where are you?

I wanted to pick you up at the airport.

Why did you come so quickly without telling me?

Because I wanted to see my daughter.

Sit down. Let's sit and talk.

It's a mom-and-daughter reunion. We should drink to celebrate.

Of course.

My daughter played a big part in establishing the Korea branch.

She is a costume designer in Hong Kong.

I'd like to introduce her to all of you.

My other half. Designer Hwang Ga Heun.

Mom. Mom!

Mom.

Ga Heun.

My Ga Heun...

found me.

Are you okay?

Help!

Is anyone out there?

Please help!

Please help!

Keep looking.

We'll look.

The phone is turned off. Please leave a message...

after the tone.

I can't reach one of the people who was looking for her.

Please ask them to add her to the missing person list.

Okay, will do.

What's going on?

Eun Jo's phone is turned off.

I think something happened.

I'm getting the same feeling I got when I lost her five years ago.

That won't happen.

I'm sure Ms. Hwang and Miss Ga Heun are both safe.

Where are you, Eun Jo?

Where are you?

Mother.

The fiancee of the president of Oman Group from 30 years ago...

turned out to be Ji Na Hwang.

She invested in Jewang Group...

to get revenge.

I won't let that woman...

destroy the company...

that our family built.

And...

Ha Jun is the only person...

who will succeed me.

If that woman...

becomes a stumbling block to my child's success,

I must eliminate her.

Don't worry.

I'll make sure of it.

Stay with me.

They'll find us.

Sun Hyuk and Mr. Wang will come.

Hang in there.

Eun Jo.

Why are you calling me that?

I'm Ga Heun, not Eun Jo.

That's right. You were...

like...

Ga Heun to me.

Eun Jo.

My Ga Heun...

is gone, isn't she?

Well...

I...

knew for a while.

The day I first met you...

I heard...

my Ga Heun...

leave...

I heard her leaving this world.

The truth is...

Ga Heun left that day.

She became Eun Jo in my place.

I see.

How did...

my Ga Heun look?

She must've known something would happen to me.

She said a storm was coming...

and told me to run away.

Ga Heun looked cold, so I gave her my coat.

That's why they thought she was Eun Jo.

I'm sorry, Mom.

Thanks to you,

my Ga Heun...

was warm...

when she left this world.

Mom.

Mom. You have to stay with me.

I'll keep you warm.

Please stay with me.

Eun Jo.

Promise me.

Promise me that you'll go back...

to being Eun Jo.

Don't live your life obsessed with revenge...

as I did.

Don't lose...

what's most precious...

Promise me.

Please.

Please go back to being Eun Jo...

and live your real life.

Promise me.

I will.

I'll go back to being Eun Jo.

Thank you for everything,

my dear Ga Heun.

Mom.

Mom.

Mom!

Mom!

Mom!

(Ms. Monte Cristo)

She has passed away.

Ji Na fell off a mountain and died.

Everything Byeong Gook said must've been recorded.

Get rid of that painting.

- The likelihood she'll wake up... - Ji Na Hwang died,

and Ga Heun is in a coma.

I'll get back at the people...

who did this to you.

I don't think Eun Jo will make it this time.

If she never wakes up...

Eun Jo should've died five years ago anyway.
