(Episode 87)

She looks so pretty, like Sleeping Beauty,

when she sleeps.

She really is Eun Jo.

Gosh. She was Eun Jo from the start.

Eun Gyul knew right away.

Everyone is stupid.

You're right.

Eun Gyul...

You said she was Eun Jo from the start,

but I didn't realize.

Mommy, did you really not know that she was Eun Jo?

Actually,

I thought she was Eun Jo when I first met her too.

How could a mom...

not recognize her own daughter?

I never forgot about her. Not for a single moment.

But... Eun Jo pretended...

she didn't know me.

So you knew Eun Gyul was doing a secret mission too.

Eun Jo became a great detective in the US.

That's why Eun Gyul's secret mission was a secret from you.

I see.

You did great, Eun Gyul.

From now on,

I'll help with your secret mission...

until Eun Jo tells me everything.

Eun Gyul is going to sleep with Eun Jo tonight.

Okay.

Me too.

I'm going to sleep with Eun Jo tonight.

You took Eun Jo home?

Does her mom know she's Eun Jo too?

Yes. Eun Jo can't bear to tell her everything that has happened...

because it may be too much for her to handle.

Of course. She'll be shocked.

I'm nervous already about how she'll react.

Sun Hyuk. I hope...

even you'll never find out how Eun Jo's dad...

passed away.

What is the revenge Eun Jo plans to take on Ha Ra and Se Rin?

Do you know anything?

She got the house and the mall back for Mother.

What else is there?

What else? She replaced Se Rin as chief manager,

and got you and Ha Ra divorced.

Ms. Hwang is the producer of Ha Ra's movie.

The scenario of that movie is a lot like what happened...

five years ago.

I think they're tormenting Ha Ra with the movie.

The movie?

That wouldn't be nearly enough if it were me.

Look. They found out that Ga Heun was Eun Jo,

but rather than apologize,

they ruined her wedding and are trying to destroy her.

Ga Heun has to continue on with her revenge...

so that they can't destroy her.

I wanted to come back proudly after completing my revenge.

I'm sorry for coming back like this.

But I can't stop here.

Geum Eun Hwa, Ha Ra, Se Rin... They stabbed Mom, who helped me...

with my revenge.

I'll put them on the stage of my final revenge.

I'll make them feel a million times the pain you, Star, and I suffered.

I promise, Dad.

It's so nice having you join us to eat again, Mother.

Ms. Park.

How dare you deceive me?

Grandma.

Keep your mouth shut just like that, okay?

Don't annoy me.

Got that?

Stepmom and Ha Ra keep staring at Grandma eat.

Stop watching her, and eat.

Those... Those evil witches.

Look at the look in their eyes.

Listen up.

Okay. Got it.

Chairman Han says...

she has something to say to all of you.

What happened...

The wedding...

She's asking for an explanation for what happened...

at Hwang Ga Heun and Master Ha Jun's wedding.

The thing is...

Ji Na Hwang has dementia.

Don't worry. We'll make sure people don't talk about it.

The wedding is just being delayed.

I will marry Ms. Hwang.

Don't you worry.

That was why Ji Na Hwang didn't recognize Ga Heun.

Look at the time.

Grandma, I have a lot of work to do,

so I have to go.

My baby.

Go. Don't worry about me.

Seeing you work is giving me energy.

She says seeing you work...

is giving her energy.

Really? Then I'll work even harder.

See you later.

I'll go too.

I have my hands full fixing the wedding debacle.

That evil witch.

Go if you want.

Evil witch. Evil witch.

You're starting to talk more and more.

Ha Jun.

You've become smart ever since you became president.

You did a good job blocking the bomb I threw at you.

However, you won't be able to block the rest.

You're no match for me.

Don't forget that I was the one...

who built Jewang Fashion.

You did a great job too.

I'll give you that.

But remember this.

I have the blood of my mom, who was the true madam...

of Jewang Group.

Unlike someone I know who acts like the master...

in someone else's spot and abuses people below her.

What?

We'll see who the real master is.

Your engagement and wedding fell through.

I'm worried about how the executives will see you.

Now Ji Na Hwang, your supporter, has dementia.

It won't be easy.

The wedding was just postponed.

Moreover, I won't become a successor purely by someone's support.

I'll earn it myself. I, Ha Jun,

will prove that I'm qualified to be chairman.

Once I am, I'll air all of your dirty laundries...

for everyone to see.

That's right.

I dug a little just to get a taste, and you have a lot.

Let me know whenever you're ready.

I'll air them now if you want.

What was that?

Ha Jun. How much did you find out about me?

Why would I tell you?

You say I'm no match for you.

Then you can keep underestimating me,

get caught off guard, and kicked out.

Why you...

Did something happen between you and Ha Jun?

Are things not going your way?

Ha Jun used my move against me.

He showed...

the message and DNA test results that we sent Ji Na Hwang...

to your dad and said I was behind them.

How did he know you sent them?

Who knows?

I've been underestimating him.

He's tougher than I thought.

Do you know what else he said?

He said if I want to prove that the DNA test is real,

I'll have to bring the real Ga Heun.

But she's dead.

So what did you say?

You played dumb in front of Father, right?

Of course, I did.

Don't worry about that.

He only cares about Ji Na Hwang's dementia.

He's terrified that word will get out,

and it'll hurt the new brand.

Really?

Wait. If we stop the news about Ji Na Hwang from getting out,

Hwaipeu Fund will go unharmed.

Then we can't kick Ga Heun out!

Why not?

We're taking a step back, that's all.

Do you think they can keep her dementia a secret forever?

She denied the girl she took in as her daughter at her wedding.

She'll do it again...

in public for sure.

You just stay quiet until I find a way,

okay?

Fine.

Stepmom fabricated the scandal...

about Ms. Hwang being an imposter daughter.

Ji Na Hwang lost Ms. Hwang when she was a child...

and found her again a few years ago.

How bad is her dementia that she didn't recognize...

her own daughter?

You're all dressed to go already.

Did you make Ji Na Hwang's dementia worse?

What do you mean?

What were you thinking? How could you do that?

Were you trying to get Ha Jun's wedding called off?

You have such a wild imagination.

Are you acting this way to me because of what Ha Jun said?

I told you. It wasn't me.

Ha Jun is mistaken.

- Why would I send Ji Na... - Give it a rest!

How long will you frame Ha Jun?

Do you know how big a loss you caused the company...

by doing that to Ji Na Hwang...

and getting Ha Jun's wedding called off?

Honey... Ji Na Hwang has dementia.

We should use this opportunity...

to reconsider the new brand.

Shut it!

You'd better stop the word from spreading.

If anyone finds out about Ji Na Hwang's dementia,

I'll assume you were behind it.

And if DDM Venus isn't a success,

you'll be removed as vice president.

What? You won't listen to a thing I say anymore,

is that it?

I, Ju Tae Sik, hereby swear...

that if I am caught stealing again,

I will give my hand, including the bones,

flesh, and blood...

completely to Ms. Yoon.

Resubmit this every three days.

What?

It's not like...

it's a love letter. Why should I...

It's to make sure you don't lose that determination.

I see. Yes, ma'am.

Seriously.

What is that?

It's very suspicious.

Is that a vitamin?

It's my lifeline.

Would I lie about that of all things?

Seriously. Fine.

I got it. Just bring me the green container from the fridge.

What is it?

Just bring it.

Eun Gyul bought us a watermelon from his paycheck.

It's the leftovers.

What?

That was weeks ago.

Hey, you. Fiery Pants.

Don't trust the fridge too much.

Gosh. I know it's for us,

and not for customers, but still.

Don't feel like it's a waste...

and throw food out if it gets old.

Hey. It's still fresh.

First, just have one.

This is good.

Listen. I have a secret to maintaining food fresh...

while running this restaurant.

I'll share it with you.

First,

if you put food in this container,

it remains fresh for a very long time.

It cuts down on food waste.

Gosh. That's incredible.

No wonder...

the fridge is filled with these containers.

Which gets me to my next point.

If you steal from me again,

I'll keep you to your word...

and put your hand in this container...

and keep it...

You get me, right? Right?

Your food tastes good, Mom.

I always missed it.

Mom.

Why aren't you asking me anything?

Why I only came back now,

why I lived as Ga Heun,

why I acted like I didn't know you...

Eun Jo. Eun Gyul told her everything.

That you were on a secret mission.

Since we got our house back, we just have to punish Se Rin.

Eun Gyul ate too much breakfast.

The bathroom is calling Eun Gyul.

Eun Jo.

I'm sure you have your reasons...

for not telling me.

Nothing my thoughtful daughter did...

was ever wrong.

I trust you.

I'm grateful that Ms. Hwang, who took care of you,

got us our house back.

And I'm just grateful that you're alive...

and came back to us.

I'm grateful for everything.

I'm sorry, Mom.

I'll tell you everything when the time is right.

Things may be bad now,

but my mom who looked after me saved my life.

That's why even if she doesn't recognize me,

I can't ignore her.

I need to take care of her.

Yes. Of course, you should.

But I still can't take it...

if she mistreats you.

Even if dementia made her not recognize you,

how could she hit you like that at the wedding?

I only found out recently,

but the body that they found, which they thought was me,

was her real daughter.

Really? Is that true?

I couldn't tell her in case it would worsen her illness.

Oh no.

Dementia is so frightening.

If she finds out that happened to her real daughter,

I don't even want to think about it.

Eun Jo. How could something like that happen?

That's why you have to understand even if she mistreats me.

I want to be a daughter to her for her daughter's sake too.

Because she and her daughter...

are my saviors to whom I must repay my gratitude for life.

Okay. I got it.

I feel so bad for her.

(Jupiter Shopping)

Ma'am. Please stop.

They're Miss Ga Heun's things.

Why is she Ga Heun?

Did you fall for her lies too?

She impersonated my daughter.

I let her fool me and didn't know my daughter was going crazy...

and gave her everything!

Ma'am. You weren't fooled.

Why don't you remember promising to help her with her revenge?

Shut it!

I did no such thing.

I'd never do that for a fake when my daughter is out there.

She... She used me because I was weak...

after losing my daughter. She used me!

She used me.

People's memories get distorted as a defense mechanism...

when they're in extreme emotional shock.

I think that distortion...

targeted just one person who she loved.

She only believes what she wants to believe.

Ga Heun... My dear Ga Heun.

We have to find my Ga Heun.

Why isn't the person who has her calling?

They say she isn't well mentally.

I have to find her quickly and make it up to her.

My poor Ga Heun. What do I do?

Ma'am. Ma'am!

Ga Heun! Ga Heun...

She fainted again?

Yes. She's overwrought with guilt about her daughter...

being unwell mentally.

So she seems to want to deny helping you...

with your revenge.

We're at the final stage of my revenge.

She just needs to hang on a little while longer.

The doctor says her memories with someone she loved...

are being distorted.

That's why she only believes what she wants to believe.

That's why all of her memories of you...

are being distorted by her guilt.

I'd like to go over and take care of her.

You can't.

Her condition may worsen if she sees you.

I know you're worried,

but you should stay away for now.

Okay.

I'll make sure she doesn't see anyone.

Proceed with the final plan for your revenge.

Ms. Hwang will only be an obstacle to your revenge...

in her current state.

Okay.

Mr. Wang. Please take good care of her.

I have to prepare for the final stage of revenge...

before Mom's condition worsens.

I'll get revenge on Se Rin using DDM Venus.

And I'll get Ha Ra at the filming of the ending of the movie,

which will be the highlight.

(Suspension bridge. Day.)

Ji Na Hwang left Ms. Hwang in the middle of the street?

Yes. Mr. Wang called me,

so I took Eun Jo home.

Now, her mother knows as well that she's Eun Jo.

I know it was because of Ji Na Hwang's dementia,

but maybe it's a good thing that Ms. Hwang went back...

to her family.

Did Ms. Geum do anything else?

Not yet.

But she won't just sit back and watch.

I'm sure. Ji Na Hwang's dementia is probably great news to her.

She won't stay quiet for long.

You know the launch date was set for DDM Venus, don't you?

Before they do,

we have to pull up the launch date for Mapsy Nature.

That's right. Ms. Hwang called. She's coming in this afternoon.

I'll ask her when she comes.

I'll go back to gathering evidence of Ms. Geum's kickbacks.

Sun Hyuk.

Are you okay?

- What do you mean? - Ms. Hwang...

I mean, Eun Jo came...

to get revenge on you.

But she was kicked out by her teacher of revenge,

and you took her home.

What about it?

Everyone imagines...

seeing their first love again.

Because they think first loves remain beautiful forever.

Who'd want to see their first love come back from the dead...

and suffer unimaginable things?

You must feel terrible seeing that.

I'm...

I'm grateful just for the fact that Eun Jo is alive.

Don't worry about me.

You're grateful just for the fact that she's alive?

He's grateful for something that's a given.

What does that even feel like?

I never want to experience that.

The ending scene is out already?

Yes. There's an amazing twist at the end.

I got chills reading it.

I'm sure you will too.

We're going to use that for the ending scene,

so come prepared.

I just emailed it to you, so read it.

I will.

How amazing is it?

(Female Detective X - Suspension Bridge Ending Scene)

(Suspension Bridge)

Thunder and lightning. Strong winds and rain.

A shaky suspension bridge.

A suspension bridge?

"Female detective X"...

"chases the suspect"...

"in the bachelorette party dress."

"Help me. Please."

"If you... If you're gone"...

If you... If you're gone.

I can have...

Sun Hyuk.

Eun Jo is the writer.

The writer was Eun Jo.

No one else could've written this.

What?

Weren't we getting rid of Ga Heun right away?

I underestimated Ha Jun.

No. Now that Sun Hyuk is back,

he probably became Ha Jun's strategist.

Sun Hyuk took the bomb I threw at Ji Na Hwang...

and turned it against me...

and told the chairman.

You said Ji Na Hwang has dementia.

You should use that to stop the new brand before it succeeds.

The chairman says if word gets out about her dementia,

he'll assume I'm behind it. So how can I use it now?

Then you can use what happened at the wedding.

Ga Heun called an emergency executives meeting.

She must have something ready to explain what happened.

Hey. So? Did you look into it?

Yes. The reason for the meeting is to report on Mapsy Nature,

the eco-friendly fabric that Ms. Hwang invented.

What?

Why did no one know about it all this time?

Ms. Hwang worked on it alone, so even the team didn't know.

She didn't submit a proposal yet even to the president.

An eco-friendly fabric?

Just how great is it?

What do you mean,

Ga Heun is the writer for your movie?

I just got the ending scene,

and it's too much like what happened on the bridge five years ago.

That's ridiculous.

How could a designer write a screenplay?

That's right. Even your first shoot...

was just like the bachelorette party.

You're right. So is the ending scene.

I refuse to shoot that scene.

I may really go crazy while shooting it!

What do we do now?

Just how extensive is her revenge? How far does it reach?

I just met with your mom.

Forget ousting Ga Heun. I'm the one who may end up being crushed.

She already created a local brand...

named Mapsy Nature, which uses eco-friendly fabrics.

Once that launches, it'll be a megahit for sure.

We can't let Eun Jo play us like this.

Listen carefully, Se Rin.

We have to push Ji Na Hwang...

in order to kick Ga Heun out.

Ji Na Hwang doesn't know that the real Ga Heun is dead yet.

I'm sure she's overwrought with guilt right now.

We must use that.

You're making no sense.

How will we use Ji Na Hwang?

We'll make her realize...

that Ga Heun is an obstacle...

preventing her from finding the real Ga Heun.

When you think about it, Ga Heun is where...

her real daughter should be.

She believes her daughter is alive.

What if she can't come back because Ga Heun is there?

What do you think will happen?

You want to make Ji Na Hwang kick Ga Heun out herself?

Exactly.

Se Rin. If you don't want to let Eun Jo beat us,

your acting must be flawless.

Eun Jo.

How did she become my daughter?

How did that happen?

Ga Heun!

Ga Heun! Ga Heun! Ga Heun!

That was where Ga Heun went missing.

How was she there?

Yes. She staged it on purpose.

So that I'd see her.

My head.

How did this happen to me?

I don't know what happened to you either.

I found you badly injured and unconscious on the riverbank.

Then did you save me, Mom?

Did you just...

call me "Mom"?

You said you were my mom.

That's right.

She called me "Mom" to become my daughter.

She's in no condition to have guests.

Please leave!

How dare a lowly assistant try to stop me? Step aside!

We came to tell her the truth.

Please leave.

What is it?

Ma'am. Ga Heun isn't your daughter.

She's deceiving you.

Don't listen to them. It's not true.

Don't you feel sorry for your real daughter?

She approached you intentionally.

What are you talking about?

Get out!

What do you mean?

She approached me intentionally?

Tell me.

Say what you came to say.

Do you remember?

The day I came to apologize for fighting with Ga Heun...

at the shoot.

You realized that we were faking being friends.

So?

I told you that day...

that we became friends from that day on.

They say fighting brings you closer.

Sure.

I think I remember.

But... Whom does she take after?

She doesn't take after you at all.

Are you sure she's your biological daughter?

Actually, I lost Ga Heun when she was young...

and found her miraculously after years of search.

Many people ask me that...

since we were apart for so long.

She knew about it and approached me on purpose.

That's right. You remember.

Even back then, you were fooled by Ga Heun...

and believed she was your real daughter.

Then...

It's your fault for lying to me back then.

You're being punished now for it.

Why did you do that? It was so foolish of you.

That means she planned it from the start...

and pretended to be your daughter.

You need to set things straight now.

You should take back everything she enjoyed...

by pretending to be your daughter.

Starting with her being...

the chief manager at Jewang Fashion...

and costume designer for the movie.

One more thing. Being the screenplay writer...

for the movie as well.

Where Ga Heun is right now...

is where your real daughter belongs.

She needs to be gone for your real daughter to return.

Yes... You're right.

She deceived me and used me.

That despicable fraud. Where is she?

Where is she?

Let's go.

I'll take you to her.

You need to put her in her place.

She's a vile human being.

Prior to presenting the report on Mapsy Nature,

I'd like to explain what happened at the wedding with Mr. Oh Ha Jun.

I know that speculations...

are being spread as truths, which may hurt the new brand.

That's why I think I should explain personally...

I'll explain myself.

From this moment forth,

I will take back everything I gave that fraud.

The title as chief manager for the new brand,

costume designer for the movie, and overall manager.

I take it all back.

Mom.

(Miss Monte-Cristo)

Are you saying Ms. Hwang is an imposter?

That fraud fooled all of you.

She fooled me too.

You're nothing without Ji Na Hwang's help.

This is what you get for pretending to be her daughter.

How could everything be ruined in an instant?

Why? Why?

I need to beg Mom for help.

I need to go to her.

How dare you come in here?

I'm going to get rid of Ji Na Hwang when the time is right.

My husband died?

I need to get revenge.

Oh Byung Gook!
