But, that wouldn't be nice for my Number Gnomes.
I've tried hiding all his favourite things...
But his room was so messy, I didn't know where to begin.

[Peter squeaks]

I try so hard to be perfect in every way.
I get at least three good as gold stars every single day.
I try really hard to be the best boy ever at school.
That's my lovely class. Well... Miss Lovely's lovely class, I should say.
That's me of course, with the other Best Boys.
Henry calls them Spotless Sam, Goody Goody Gordon, and Tidy Ted.
He thinks he's being horrid, but actually I think their names really suit them.
I got names for all my other friends too.
There's Happy Hillary and Kind Kelly and Lucky Louisa and Brilliant Bella.
And that's Amazing Aiden, Beautiful Bee and over there is Wonderful Wayne.
That's Super Sue, there's Terrific Tamzin and Energetic Emma.
Oh, and that's Jolly Joe and that's Lovely Lizzy.
And that's Clever Clare. She says Henry's not so bad when you get to know him.
But I say, he's just horrid. All the time!
And so do Mum and Dad.

But, I don't think they know how horrid he really is.
They don't know all the horrid things he's done, they don't know about...

I'm going to write a story about all the horrid things Henry's done.
And then I'm going to get it made into a book. And then it will be published
And then I'll be a really, really famous writer.
And then, and then Henry will really be in trouble.
Horrid Henry, The True Story.
This is the story of a boy who is horrid.
So horrid, that he sometimes sleeps in his clothes.
So he can get up at the last possible minute.
A boy who is always horrid to his perfect little brother.
Not bad... for a smelly-nappy baby.
A boy who is so horrid, he eats crisps for breakfast.
-Hey! -Oh, all right then. He only did it once.
Mum was having one of her off days and she put the crisps in the fridge.
And the ice-cream in the cupboard.
We had ice-cream on toast for breakfast that day.
Everyone knows that this horrid boy never ever does his homework.
But no one knows, except me that
It's no accident that his homework often ends up shredded.
This horrid boy has friends, rude friends, like Ralph.
Aerobic friends, like Al. Brainy and beefy friends like Brian and Bert.
But even they don't know how horrid this boy can really be.
This horrid boy's crimes are well documented.
But there are some crimes which have never been revealed.
Until now.
I've got to think of some really horrid things that Henry's done
That no one else knows about.
I know! How about the time Henry won the book report competition?
What Miss Oddbod didn't know was that Henry faked the whole lot.
They never knew it was Henry who let the worms out.
Or, that Henry lost his recorder on the very first day of term.
So he'd always pretended he was playing it.
[making recorder sounds]
What a horrid boy.
Little does he know what's in store for him.
No longer will I be the worm, the smelly-nappy baby, the Duke of poop.
I'm going to spill the beans, blow the gaff, let the cat out of the bag!
In short, I'm going to tell on Henry, big time.
And so the question is, can she survive the swing of terror?
Oh no! Not the swing of terror!
Henry, prepare to meet thy doom.
[laughs mischievously]
And the answer is, no one can survive the swing of terror!
[laughs mischievously]
-I said-- -Yes, yes I heard what you said. Now move, smelly-nappy baby.
I want to see what happens on the swing of terror!
Never mind the swing of terror, soon you will have more than that to worry about.
Now listen worm, I've got no idea what you're talking about, and I want to watch my show.
Now, could you please just move out of the way!
Please-ity please?
Oh, you are so horrid!
This, this is what I am talking about.
[gasping]
-I did that. -I tried to catch it, really I did.
I know, but I made it fall off because I was getting so cross.
And now its smashed to smithereens.
Come on worm, it's not the end of the world.
Oh, but it is...
Mum will be so cross with me, she'll never speak to me again.
She'll banish me from the house never to darken her door again.
-No, she won't. -Oh, she will.
-She will. -No, she won't.
Because I'll tell her I broke it!
You'd do that for me?
-Yeah! Of course. -You'd really do that for me?
Look at it this way, worm. Who am I going to call smelly-nappy baby if you're not around?
