Lost Promise

Episode 16

Having been practiced martial arts at home many days,

now I finally get to see people.

Let me tell you.

Since the last time we pretended to be beggars here,

I've had a problem until now.

I always want to hold a bowl to ask for something.

These officers are very active recently.

Is there something wrong?

It's the Flying Eagle Fortress case.

They found the fire thistles .

Now, the whole city is searching for it.

It's been a while since we went to Jiang's place.

How about going to Amberverde Mansion?

You'd better not

go there lately.

Why?

Boss, give me this.

Okay.

Don' t you know?

Mrs. Jiang has set the wedding time

for Brother Jiang with Miss Jin.

There may be some

big trouble going on in Amberverde Mansion now.

Love affairs are the most troublesome.

It's better to stay with Brother Gong for some leisure time .

Boss, I'll take this.

Okay.

Miss, you're awake.

Watch out.

Miss Jin.

I apo logize

on behalf of Jing for today.

I know

she was teasing you on purpose today.

In fact, she is not a bad girl.

Please don't mind.

Master Jiang is really devoted to Miss Jing.

Miss Jin is a sensible girl.

Besides, the Jin family is the richest in Lin'an City.

It's not difficult to find a good marriage.

There's really no need for you

to be so humiliated in Amberverde Mansion.

Since I've already joined the Jiang family,

who else would be willing to

marry me if I leave now?

I will find a way

to prove it for you.

But Grandma wants us to get married the day after tomorrow.

I have a favor to ask.

If you are willing to help me,

I' ll be very grateful.

Go ahead.

Don't stop.

Prepare a hundred rouge pills

before it gets dark tonight.

Oh.

You calmed her down, you little new wife?

Jing.

You've married into the Jiang family.

Don't take it too far.

Yes, I took it too far.

I'm the one who's being unreasonable, okay?

Are you satisfied?

I should tell you.

It's my family's fault.

We dragged Jin Yuanqiu down on this matter.

It's all my fault

that your Yuanqiu is wronged,

all right?

Can't we talk in good manner?

Let's be reasonable.

Be reasonable.

When have I ever been reasonable?

Otherwise, let's go out and fight.

Whoever wins is the one who is reasonable.

Let me tell you.

What's wrong with me?

I'm telling you, Jiang Qingliu.

I, Boye Jingxing, married into your Jiang family

not to compete for jealousy

with that Miss Jin.

I don' t need to.

Villain, you really are.

If you have something to say, just say it.

Jing.

I thought you had changed.

I though you were different then.

But I found out that I was wrong.

Did you think I would change for you?

You're so full of yourself.

Good.

I'm wrong.

I have been wrong from the beginning to the end.

I was wrong about you.

Jiang Qingliu, stop right there.

If you walk out today,

don 't ever come back.

That's right, he's leaving like this.

Grandma.

Please have some tea.

Sit down.

Now that Grandma drank my tea,

that means you're not mad at me, right?

You'r e the sweetest one.

Stay away from Jing from now on

in case she leads you astray.

When you get married the day after tomorrow,

you should teach her more rules.

Even though she's just a concubine,

she can't be too disrespectful.

Grandma.

I want to postpone the wedding with Qingliu.

Why?

Did Jing say something to you?

I know Qingliu doesn't

have any feelings for me now.

So I want to marry him

until the day

he really falls in love with me.

Will that be too hard for you?

I believe I have the patience.

Grandma, please find another time for wedding.

The fire thistles has become a big issue in the city.

Everyone's eyes are on it.

This batch of thistles

has completely disrupted our plan.

Jiang Qingliu has repeatedly

disrupted my plan.

But don't worry, my lady.

I have my own solution to this.

He is now close to the Crown Prince's crony,

Governor Zhu,

the purpose of which is to make us afraid of him.

The Jiang family has found a backer, Governor Zhu.

Don't forget that

Lord Nangong still owes us a favor.

If we want the government to intervene,

we have to think of a reason.

My lady.

You don't think of a crime.

You make it done.

And it has to be a capital crime.

Zizai.

Do you think I'm a particularly selfish person?

No.

I'm not afraid of being laughed at for saying this.

How can I laugh at you?

Just say it.

Do you still remember Xin Yuege

sister-in-law told us about that day ?

You went to him?

Yes.

What did he say?

I knew you'd come to see me today.

Then I guess...

you know what I came

to see you for, right?

It's a pity.

My brother.. .

Is he still alive?

Damn chess.

Is he already…?

A step too late.

What do you mean?

Mr. Mei, don't misunderstand.

I mean my bad chess.

What a terrible move.

Then can you answer my question ?

I'm willing to pay any price

just to get the news of my brother.

When you were ten years old,

you wanted to go hiking.

So your brother took you out without telling your parents.

What happened?

You met robbers.

The robbers insisted on taking you as a hostage,

and yo ur brother replaced you.

He went with the bad guys.

But Mei Yingfeng was a smart kid

who secretly left marks in the woods.

But you

didn't follow

because of fear.

You cried and went home directly.

And as a result,

you can no longer find him.

That's right, Xin.

This is the thing I regret the most.

Since you know

these old stories so well,

then

you must know my brother's current whereabouts, right?

Yes, I do.

Though I do.

I 'm willing to give everything I have.

You know

now I am the only one left

in the entire Foreveryoung City.

My brother

is my only concern

in this world.

Mr. Mei.

I'm sure you don't know

I've already quit the career.

Quit the career?

That's right.

I find this kind of thing not fun.

Not fun?

I really don't want to play

this kind of exchange game anymore.

What an unfortunate coincidence, Mr. Mei.

Is there no way out?

Mr. Mei.

You know what?

Your don't have anything

I want at all.

Besides, It's not necessarily

a bad thing

to have regrets in this world.

But this regret is too heavy.

Sorry, Mr. Mei.

I can't help you with this.

But I can give you a piece of advice.

I'd like to hear more.

Cherish what you have now.

You will not necessarily

become happier after you find your brother.

Zizai.

Do you think I'm a terrible person?

What are you talking about?

You see?

Even Xin Yuege was not willing to help me.

Do I really

have no value at all?

I'm telling you.

Don 't think too much about it.

Although Yingfeng is not with us now,

I believe

he will be fine on his own.

Don't forget

he's smarter and better

at martial arts than us.

Hope so.

All right, all right.

Let's not talk about sad things.

Come on, let's drink.

We're so happy together.

How dare he questioned me?

How dare Jiang Qingliu

questioned me over the new bride?

Isn't he not going to marry her?

But he still defends her.

It's all a lie.

He's a liar.

I have to teach

him a lesson this time.

I will run away from home.

Master Jing.

Where are you going?

Wait for me.

Master Jing.

Where are you going? I' ll go with you.

Make haste.

Chase her, take care of her.

Master Jing, wait for

me.-Master Jing, slow down. -Don't pull me.

Hurry up.

Master Jing.

Master Jing.

Master Jing, do you want to rest?

Master Jing, do you need my help?

Do you want something to drink?

Something to eat?

Do you want a blanket?

Valley Master.

Valley master.

What's wrong with her?

I don't know.

Do you think we should go in or not?

Go in?

If she's going crazy,

I'm afraid

we can't handle it.

That's true.

She's Boye Jingxing.

That's right.

Valley Master

can't afford to go through this anymore.

Well.

Well, do you think

we should we go in or not?

Why are you following me?

I won't be able to report

back tomorrow If I don't follow you.

What do you mean?

Didn't you just run away from the Jiang family?

I...

I guessed it.

You don't have to worship me.

Who am I?

Did you have a fight with Jiang Qingliu?

No.

Then what are you doing here

in the middle

of the night?

Don't ask.

You've tried so hard to get into the Jiang family.

Now that you've got in,

you don't want to leave, do you?

Who said I'm leaving?

Where are you going?

Don't follow me.

Did you hear what I said to you?

Don't follow me.

Where are you going at this hour?

I'm asking you.

Are you afraid of

me getting too close to Jiang Qingliu

thus your idol will be rejected?

You look down on my idol.

She's that good?

That's true.

Besides,

with the relationship between Jiang Qingliu and my idol now,

no one else is needed in the Jiang family.

Who doesn't know that?

That's enough.

Don't scold me in a roundabout way.

I didn't say anything.

I know you all hate me.

You don't like me.

You think I took away Jing's love.

But tell me

what I did wrong

in the whole thing?

You didn't do anything wrong.

I'm just surprised

how dare you came here alone

since your family had already given up?

Have you ever thought

I came to the Jiang family for some other reason?

Come on.

What decent purpose can you have?

Besides,

if Jiang Qingliu really married you,

but you didn't love him,

you'd ruin yo ur life.

Young master.

Young master.

Young master.

Get up, young master.

What is it?

Young master, get up first.

Governor Zhu is already here.

Get my clothes ready.

Chuan Huadie.

Yes, sir.

I'm thirsty.

I'll get you some water.

Here, Master Jing.

What's wrong?

It's boiling hot.

I'm going to get it.

It's good to be here.

There is food and drink and someone to serve me.

You're awake?

Yeah.

How are you feeling, Valley Master?

Very well.

Can you lie still?

Recently, according to the government's investigation,

rumor has it that the leader of the Yin Yang Clan

is called Wei Xiao.

He wears a mask all day long.

Has the court received any information

about the lair of the Yin-Yang Clan?

There is no accurate information yet.

But

the general area

can be located in the south of Lin City.

This location

is consistent with the information

we've got from people in Wulin

over the years.

The imperial court wants to cooperate with Jianghu

for the siege of the Yin-Yang Clan.

But...

Young master.

Lord Nang ong is here.

Lord Nangong?

Then I'll join you

to pay my respects to Lord Nangong.

Okay.

I heard that

recently in Jianghu

it is not very peaceful.

You weren't able to retain your position as the Master of Wulin.

I wonder if this is really true.

There are many people in the world

who want the position.

But the position

will still belong to our Jiang family in the end.

But Lord Nangong,

you've had a busy schedule.

But you still care about the affairs of jianghu.

I'm really flattered.

You know that, Senior Master.

I've never been one to interfere in the affairs of Jianghu.

But I really value

the status and role

of Amberverde Mansion in Jianghu.

I am grateful to Lord Nangong for your kindness.

So I'm here today

because I have something

that I'd like to ask you,

about people's opinions from Jianghu.

Please go ahead.

I'm sure you've heard

there have been foreign turmoil in Jianghu recently.

Considering that the people have just settled down,

we should focus on their livelihood,

let them rest and recuperate.

But someone at the imperial court has suggested that

we fight with the foreigners at this time.

I don't know what your idea is?

I don't think

it's a good idea to make a big fight at this stage.

I wonder if there is a possibility of peace talks.

Jiang Qingliu greets Lord Nangong.

I didn't know you were here today.

Sorry for that.

Lord Nangong.

What a coincidence.

Governor Zhu is here too.

You're here to report to Lord Jiang, right?

We were just chatting.

That's good.

Since we're all here,

let's talk about our ideas together.

I want to hear

young people's opinions.

Sit down.

All right.

Governor Zhu.

Please.

Lord Nangong

is worried about the recent unrest, right?

That's right.

I think

this is not the time to fight the foreigners.

But there is someone in the court

who disagree with me.

I believe that

it is

no longer the time for peace talks.

Because the spies of the foreigners

have already penetrated our inner circle.

There are spies?

That's right.

There is now solid eviden ce to prove the evil cult,

Yin-Yang Clan, has already collaborated with the foreigners,

hiding fire thistles

and planning to take actions.

Have you ever thought of any good solutions

for Yin-Yang Clan?

The Yin-Yang Clan is very powerful .

We haven't found out

where their lair is in Wulin

after all these years.

This is supposed to be a matter of Wulin.

But the fire thistles thing

involves the court.

If we can get the court's help,

I believe that the siege of the Yin-Yang Clan will make great progress.

As long as it's for the sake of the Emperor

and people,

I will give my full support.

I will order the whole country

to search the entire territory for fire thistles.

Once found,

they 'll be punished severely.

Qingliu.

You're back.

Yuanqiu?

You're back.

Yes.

Qingliu.

Come on.

Come and try my tea.

Oh, by the way.

Yuanqiu.

Where were you last night?

You should try this tea first.

Okay.

I went to the mountains yesterday.

There was a big tea forest there.

I waited until this morning

when I collec ted the morning dew to make tea for you.

To the mountains?

You're a girl, why did you go to the mountains?

Don't worry about that.

By the way,

I've told Grandma as you told me.

Grandma said

she agreed to postpone our wedding.

Thank you, Yuanqiu.

I,

I'm sorry.

Right.

Why haven't I seen Miss Jing today?

You

bullied her again?

I...

Actually

if you said something,

just go and apologize to her.

After all, I don't want you to fight

because of me.

You know I married

into the Jiang family by order of my parents.

So.

Yuanqiu,

I'm so sorry.

So go and persuade Sister Jing to come back.

Jing.

I...

I...

I was wrong.

No, no, no.

Jing.

About this,

I'm the one who did it wrong.

No way.

Jing.

About this.

Master Jiang.

Master Jiang.

The theory of golden twelve hours to coax girls.

Do you understand it?

What's that?

It means

if you make a girl angry,

you have 24 hours,

which is a day's time.

The less time you waste,

the higher the chances of making her happy.

It's been so long.

You're still working on yo ur opening line?

Well.

Then what else can I do?

You,

now,

don't say anything.

Just show up in front of her

and

kiss her.

No, no, no.

Kiss her?

That's Boye Jingxing

I kiss her?

She'll smack me out of Lin'an City.

That's right.

In front of others, she's Boye Jingxing.

In front of you,

she's your wife

Do you understand?

Do you understand?

You can't be taught.

Master, Jiang is looking for you out of the door.

What's he doing here?

Young master Jiang.

I haven't asked you to come in.

How come you came in yourself?

Chuan Huadie.

Get out.

Get out.

Jing.

I'm dead .

Jing.

We...

It's been almost a month since you transmitted power to me.

I...

I feel like

I'm dying now.

You're dying?

What does it have to do with me?

You can't say that.

Who are you?

Hero Boye.

Right?

Since you promised me,

you have to keep your word, right?

I'm tired.

I won't do it.

Aren't you the best?

Don't you care about me?

Find someone who likes to do it.

Jing.

I…

I…

I have something to say to you.

What do you want to say?

Don' t say anything.

Just kiss her.

This is the most useful move.

Jiang...

Jiang Qingliu, what are you doing?

I... well...

I miss you.

Don't peek.

I'm so hungry.

I've been hungry every day lately.

Bear with it.

I'm hungry.

Jing.

Throw it up.

You want to kill yourself?

Why are you eating this?

Spit it out.

Don't eat it. You can't eat this.

Don't eat it.

Today,

the family dinner

is mainly to welcome a guest.

Of course.

From now on,

she will also be the owner of Amberverde Mansion.

The Jin family and my Jiang family have been friends for generations .

I've heard Yuanqiu's name

since she was a child.

This is the Jin family's daughter, Yuanqiu?

Look at her. She's so beautiful.

What's the Chinese idiom?

She has the beauty that outshines the moon and put the flowers to shame.

Beautiful enough to...

Jing.

Look at you.

You're a woman.

What a disgrace!

Grandma, you don't have to be angry.

Yuanqiu can't afford

these compliments.

It's inevitable for others to laugh at it.

I don 't know

what's wrong with si ster's health lately.

She's been feeling sick all the time.

It's my fault for not taking good care of her.

I'm sorry for making you laugh.

It's okay, it's okay.

You'll feel better now that you've thrown up .

Don't eat it again.

That's good.

That's good.

That's good.

Senior Master.

Come in.

Senior Master.

We've found traces of the Yin-Yang Clan.

What should we do next?

This is a matter of great concern.

Don't startle the snake yet.

I'm afraid

we'll need the help of the people from Jianghu.

How's it going?

Congratulations to Junior Master Jiang.

Congratulations to Madam Zhou.

Young Madam.

You're indeed pregnant.

Pregnant?

Amitabha Buddha, blessings of the Buddha.

Blessed by the ancestors.

The Jiang family finally has a successor now.

I've got a baby?

I finally have a baby.

Yes.

You're going to be a mother.

Why are you still so reckless?

It's fine that you were always reckless before.

Now that you're pregnant with the Jiang family's child,

you should give birth to your child

safe and sound .

This is my baby.

How could I treat him badly?

Qingliu.

Grandma.

Jing is pregnant now.

You must take good care of her.

All right.

I'll tell everyone in the mansion.

I will make sure that this child

will be born safely.

Don't worry, Grandma.

It's me.

You're up at night.

You don't have to scare me.

Jiang Qingliu.

I just heard

my little baby talking to me.

You don't have a fever .

Why are you talking nonsense?

I'm not talking nonsense.

I really heard him talking to me.

Good.

Then tell me

what he said to you?

Listen to it yourself.

What did you say?

Jing is pregnant?

The doctor has checked her pulse.

It couldn't be wrong.

How is this possible?

What's impossible about it?

Jing has been in the Jiang family for quite a while.

Besides, she is with Jiang Qingliu

all day long together.

It was only a matter of time.

It's just that now all eyes of the Jiang family

are on her.

I'm afraid that my future life will be tough.

What do you think I should do?

Could it be that

I've made a mistake?

So it's really not the little baby

talking to me?

You are consuming a lot of energy lately.

It's only natural

that you often feel hungry.

From today onwards,

I'm going to give you extra meals every night.

It's really not the baby?

It's not that fast.

He's in your belly now

like

a meat ball.

It's like

a seed buried in the ground,

continuously absorbing nutrients,

slowly taking root and sprouting

and eventually breaking out of the ground

to grow into

a big tree.

What?

You mean when he grows up,

he'll be like a big tree,

burst my belly

and then pop out?

Oh my god.

Having a baby is so scary.

I don't want to have a baby.

Valley Master.

Where are you going ?

Hey, you're scaring me.

You're a strange person.

You don't sleep in bed.

You sleep on the roof of the house.

You're stealthy too, aren't you?

You're not sleeping at this time of night.

Where have you been?

I couldn't sleep.

Couldn't I go for a walk?

I know why you can't sleep.

What do you know?

That's must because my idol

is pregnant with Jiang Q ingliu's baby,

so you can't sleep.

Isn't that right?

Actually

I can't sleep either.

Is it because you're jealous too?

That's not true.

I'm

genuinely happy for her.

It's just that

I feel empty

in my heart.

A little bit empty.

Well.

Since you have helped me,

I'll also help you once today.

Come with me.

Where are we going?

Just go.

Why did you bring me here?

Alcohol is the only solution to sorrow.

Let me get drunk with you today

and forget all your worries.

You're a lady

and you can drink?

Don't underestimate me.

It's not sure who will be drunk first.

Little baby.

Grow up slowly.

Don 't be in a hurry to come out.

Still didn't get it.

Jiang, I haven't seen you for a few days.

Your skill has strengthened.

Why do you two have time today

to come to me to compare notes with me?

The whole Jianghu knows about

the pleasing news of Amberverde Mansion.

Only you have the time

to study the knowledge of Confucius and Mencius.

I really admire you.

Brother Jiang.

Where's our sister-in-law?

Yingxue and I have to

congratulate her in person.

Young master.

Young lady, please go and see her.

Let's go.

Jiang Qingliu.

You're up here too.

That's good.

Come with me to cut the branches of the tree.

I mean,

you 're pregnant.

Why are you still fooling around?

Who's fooling around?

Didn't you hear Ku Lianzi say

the baby will grow up and break out of the ground?

I have to prune it well.

Let it grow slowly.

I didn' t expect that

the fearless Boye Jingxing

can get frightened.

Ku Lianzi

just made a metaphor for you.

A metaphor? What is a metaphor?

Why did he make him?

Come on.

Sister-in-law, you're very lucky.

Brother Jiang is always cold to people.

It's the first time I've seen

him so considerate about someone.

He's just

concerned about my baby.

Young Master.

The Governor is here.

He's waiting for you in the Centre Hall.

I see.

Governor Zhu .

Sir Zhu.

Qingliu has been busy with family matters lately.

Sorry to keep you waiting.

Not at all.

I just heard about your pleasing news.

If I had known it earler,

I should have prepared some gifts

before paying a visit.

No, no.

Sir.

Something must have happened

that you came here today.

It's true.

We have secretly investigated

some information related to the Yin-Yang Clan.

That's great.

If we can follow the trail,

maybe

we can sweep out the Yin-Yang Clan.

It's just that

there's no real evidence.

If the government

makes an arrest with great fanfare now,

I'm afraid it will

only alarm the enemies.

That's why I'm asking for your help.

Don't worry, sir.

It's my duty to supress the Yin-Yang Clan.

Sir, am at your disposal.

Brother Jiang.

Sister-in-law is pregnant.

You should take care of her.

Leave it

to me

and Yingxue to handle it.

But, you...

But what?

You know

how sister-in-law acts.

How can you just leave

her alone at home?

Well...

I'll leave it

to you.

Mr . Mei, Mr. Gong.

Please don't worry.

I will arrange for the government officials

to assist you secretly.

Thank you, Governor Zhu.

But

how are we going to proceed?

Take a look.

This is the portrait

made according to the magistrate's

account overnight.

This man's name is Guo Jin.

About Jing,

for one thing, she is not young anymore.

For another,

she is already pregnant.

Why is she still so

reckless?

Grandma.

Sister Jing is active by nature.

If you're not sure about her,

why don't I take care of her?

How can I leave that to you?

You're a young lady of noble birth.

This is too much for you.

How can I explain this to your parents?

There is nothing to explain.

Jing is also my family.

Now that she's pregnant,

I'm supposed to take care of her.
