Lost Promise

Episode 14

Jing.

You're here.

Why are you here?

I want to discuss something with you first.

Say it.

I

want to marry you rightfully.

So,

you can sleep here tonight.

Be good.

I'll go sleep in another room.

All right.

I'm leaving.

Good night.

I came to see you late at night

to ask you

what you think about

Hua Tingtao .

Hua Tingtao

is the Sect Leader of the Flying Eagles.

The court

isn't supposed to interfere

with what happened in Jianghu.

That makes sense.

We'll follow the rules of the Jianghu

to deal with what happened in Jianghu.

Grandpa, Grandma .

Recently, I've figured out one thing.

Wanchan's leaving

made me sad for a few days.

I feel better now.

I've considered your advice.

I think it's time for me

to get a new wife.

As I said,

Qingliu is not

the kind of kid who doesn't know what's good for him.

Grandma.

But I don't think it has to be troublesome.

Jing hasn't officially married me.

It's a g ood idea to give her a wedding.

No way.

Grandpa.

I don't care how the wild girl

has charmed you.

But for this matter,

absolutely no way.

Grandma.

Qingliu, actually Grandma has already

found a good one for you.

Jin Yuanqiu of the Jin family in Henan.

She's quite good.

The Jin family is also a great family of business.

They often cozy up to us.

I'm sure it would be

a good marriage this time.

Grandma.

I don't know

Jin Yuanqiu.

There is no love between us.

I'm afraid that if we get married, she'll be another...

What's wrong?

Are you trying to make your

own decision in your marriage?

You're the Master of Wulin.

Your marriage

isn't about yourself.

But I'm no longer

the Master of Wulin now.

But sooner or later, you will still be.

Qingliu.

What you need now is not a lover.

What you need is a good wife who can

take charge of

the overall situation and who can help our

Jiang family.

Grandfather.

Isn't she another Shan Wanchan?

So what?

Marriage is an alliance.

Love can be cultivated.

It can't be cu ltivated.

Lady Jin Yuanqiu is quite nice.

She's a good-looking woman with a cheerful and generous nature.

The Jin family is also a family of magnates.

Qingliu.

Don't argue with your grandfather anymore.

You don't get it.

Stop there.

You have no other choice.

You have to accept it.

This is your only way out.

You still treat me as a pawn of the Jiang family?

Send this to the border.

Yes.

Fur of good quality.

It's not that good.

I don't want it.

Forget it.

What can I do for you?

How much is the purse?

Thirty taels of silver.

Thirty taels?

That's too much.

Then, 25 taels of silver.

All right, I'll take it.

Here.

Take it.

Master Jing.

Shh.

Just fell asleep.

What's wrong with Master Jing?

She is now getting

worse and worse.

I'm afraid she won't make it through next month.

The young master Jiang is so inconsiderate.

Master Jing's health is bad now.

He still has the mood to get married.

What?

He wants to marry again?

Look.

What the hell is this?

Shan Wanchan just left.

How come there's another Lady Jin?

Didn't Jiang Qingliu say he would marry me?

Jing.

Jing.

How's your health?

I'm already dead from anger.

Blood is coming out of my mouth.

I'm sure

it's about Lady Jin, isn't it?

What did you say

when you were here?

Right here in this bed

on that day.

On the same bed?

I don't want this

to be happened either.

But I can't help it.

Jiang Qingliu, make it clear .

What exactly did you say?

I, Jiang Qingliu, want to marry you

rightfully.

Then what's going on today?

Grandpa and Grandma arranged this

after Wanchan left.

I just knew it.

Jiang Qingliu.

Why are you still such a loser until now ?

That's why I came to see you today to discuss the solution.

I

want to ruin the wedding.

I didn't expect that Master Jiang would say something

like that.

It's unbelievable.

Not bad.

Finally, you know how to resist.

So you're here

to discuss with me about

ruining this marriage?

Of course.

Do you really want me to marry her?

My little Qingliu is so cute.

How can you say such a thing

with such a sweet face?

Master.

Mind your behaviors.

In fact, I've already got an idea

to solve this problem.

We have to rely on Chuan Huadie.

Thank you very much.

Thank you for coming.

Please come inside.

Please.

Congratulations.

Please follow me.

What?

The marriage attendant

said the Jin family wouldn't

marry their daughter to Qingliu.

Hero.

Please save our whole family.

Hero.

If you promise me that you wouldn't agree to this marriage,

I'll give you

the antidote.

Father.

Just promise him.

Okay, okay, we promise you.

We'll do anything you say.

I won't marry my daughter to him.

We won't.

We won't.

Master Jin, congratulations.

We're here.

Where is Lady Jin?

Go, go, go. Hurry up.

Go back and tell your master that

we repent of this marriage. There won't be wedding today.

Not getting married.

We don't want this marriage.

You're making it hard for me.

Go back and tell your master.

Tell him that the Jin family is ungrateful.

Our daughter Yuanqiu doesn't have the fortune to marry your young master.

All of us i n the Jin family

want to live.

We won't marry.

We won't.

No matter what.

All right.

Let's go back to Amberverde Mansion.

Let's go.

Hero. Hero.

The palanquin has already left.

Please save our family .

Please give us the antidote.

Please save our family.

All right.

Give it to me.

What should we do?

Most of the guests have been here.

The Jin family can afford to lose face.

Our Jiang family can't afford to lose face.

Grandma.

Since the Lady Jin has changed her mind,

let me

take the place of Lady Jin.

Okay, fine, hurry up.

Go and sit in the palanquin.

Okay.

Brother Gong, Brother Jiang is really lucky.

Of course .

I envy him.

Right.

Senior Master, Jiang is getting married for the second time.

You have fulfilled your wish.

Congratulations.

It's a bad fortune.

It's fate.

The auspicious time has come, please invite the bride and groom.

The bride and groom will pay their respects. Firstly

, worship heaven and earth.

It's precious for me to kneel down.

I only kneel down to my parents, heaven and ear th.

This is the worship of heaven and earth.

Kneel down.

Secondly, worship the parents.

Husband and wife now worship each other.

Wait a minute.

What's going on?

Who is this?

I don't agree with the marriage.

I 'm Jin Yuanqiu.

I'm the bride today.

The ceremony is over. Send them to the bridal chamber.

I'm here today.

The marriage can't be done.

Lady, are you in a hurry?

Look at you, sweaty all over.

Your make-up is all smudged.

You are not with the best of intentions.

I don't buy it.

If you're here to rob my husband,

you have to dress up beautifully, right?

Otherwise, people will laugh at you.

Do you think you can fool everyone here

with your pretty face.

It's you.

What's wrong with me?

You're the one who poison my family

so that I couldn't get married.

How could this happen?

How could this happen?

I thought it was someone

who had a grudge against my family.

Now it seems

it's because someone doesn't want me to get married.

What can you do?

We've finished the ceremony.

It's too late.

You. . .

Lady.

Lady,

what's done today is done.

I hope you'll forgive us.

It seems that I can't marry you

in my life.

No way.

Your bride price is still in my house.

I must marry you today.

I, Jin Yuanqiu, swear that

I will be a member of

the Jiang family.

No way.

Qingliu.

Grandpa.

Grandpa, you have to deal with it justly.

Lady Jin.

We need to consider this carefully.

After all, they've finished the ceremony.

Lady Jin.

You don't have to call me Lady Jin.

Just call me Yuanqiu.

Okay, Yuanqiu.

Why don't you go back to your home first?

After I discuss with your father,

we'll make a decision.

Grandpa, once Yuanqiu has made a promise.

I won't eat my words.

All the guests are here today.

They've all witnessed my arrival at the Jiang house.

And they know I was framed.

You have to help me.

If I go back like this,

I'd rather die.

Then let's do it this way.

You'll stay here for today.

We'll figure it out later.

Butler.

Lady Jin.

I'll lead you to the guest room.

Please.

Qingliu, I'll listen to Grandpa.

I know. You're filial.

We all have to listen to Grandpa.

If you're smart, go home early.

You got married once,

while it's my first time.

This is what a wedding night like?

Why do I feel like

it's the same as usual?

Are we too familiar with each other?

My husband.

Are you my husband?

What are you doing?

I'm looking for my husband.

Come out.

You can't go in there.

I know you're in there.

Come out.

Come out.

Go to check that crazy girl.

Okay.

Aquamarine House

Jing.

You are now the daughter-in-law of the Jiang family.

You have to pay your respects to our grandparents in the morning,

got it?

I'm tired.

Let me sleep.

Good morning, grandparents.

Lady Jin is an honored guest.

You don't have to be so polite.

Come here.

Let Grandma take a look.

I didn't look closely at you yesterday.

Quite pretty.

Grandma.

Lady Jin.

Have a seat.

Thank you, Grandpa.

Look at this girl.

How sweet she is.

Really good.

Why haven't Qingliu.

and Jing

come to greet us yet?

Hello, young master .

Let me remind you one last t ime.

You are the daughter-in-law of the Jiang family.

Do you remember all the rules of the Jiang family?

I know.

I won't offend you if you don't offend me.

If someone offends me, I will kill them.

Grandpa.

What time is it?

What took you so long?

Grandpa.

I was delayed by some things this morning.

Serve the tea.

I'll do it.

Yuanqiu, are you all right?

Say something.

You didn' t say I have to say something.

Do I have to speak?

Grandpa, please have some tea.

Grandma.

Grandma, please have some tea.

All right.

You may go.

Grandpa.

I should send

Lady Yuanqiu back today.

Lady Jin is a guest.

I have my own arrangements.

If there's nothing to do,

I'll leave now.

Master, Chief Liu is here.

Chief Liu come here in person.

You're a man who does things yourself.

You know Lord Nangong's temper .

If anything goes wrong in this matter,

I

and you will both

have to be killed.

The mask you wear all day,

won't help you.

Bring it.

Show it to Chief Liu.

Within 3 meters,

no one will be spared .

It's wonderful.

T he imperial court

strictly forbids private possession and transportation of the Fire Thistle.

How will you keep it safe?

You don't have to worry about that, Chief Liu.

It's an absolutely safe place

which has nothing relevant

with you and me.

Good.

Master Wei really lives up to my expectation.

Lord Nangong sent me here

for another important matter as well.

Please, Chief Liu.

Basically,

the imperial court and Wulin have always been

isolated.

But recently

Hua Tingtao of the Flying Eagle Sect has met with

the Prince privately for many times.

This is not good.

Do you want to try

how powerful these Fire Thistle are on land?

Lord Nangong

just want to know the result.

Why did it stop?

Sect Leader.

There is a roadblock ahead.

I 'm afraid there's an ambush.

Don't stop. Go.

Go.

Don't come over.

Don't come over.

Don't come.

Get away from me.

Stay away from me.

Little lady.

Don't run .

Don't come over.

No.

Sister.

Come quickly.

Sister.

What's wrong, Yuanqiu?

I had nightmares again.

I want to go home.

You dreamed about that night again?

It's my fault.

I arrived too late that night

so that you got bullied by those people.

No.

If you hadn't come to save me,

I would have been

a ghost.

But you, sister. ..

Why do you want me to marry into the Jiang family

and let me investigate

the girl Jing?

Don't ask these questions.

You just keep watching

whom Jing has met with

and where she has been.

As for the affairs of the Jianghu ,

the less you know, the better.

You just stay in the Jiang family.

I will send someone to protect you secretly.

Don't worry, sister.

You saved my life.

I know I need to be grateful to you.

I. .. I'll go back now.

Okay.

Master, it's done.

Have you checked her identity?

Yes, It's right.

Master, Fire Thistles are really powerful.

Guard the Fire Thistles well.

No one is allowed to use it

without my orders.

Yes, Master.

I have assigned extra men to guard it.

Good steel must be used on good sword.

Yes.

What are you doing here?

I'm here to see Sister Jing.

What do you want with her?

I...

I want to apologize to her.

Do you know what you've done wrong?

Yes, I do.

Let her come in.

Sister Jing.

I'm here to apologize to you.

Why do you need to apologize?

I'm young and ignorant.

I spoke out of turn

and offended you with my words.

I hope you'll be generous

and don't be so mean to me.

If you say so,

I don't know what to do.

No.

I was being foolish actually.

Actually,

it doesn't matter if I'm the first wife or not.

I won't have any other thoughts in the future.

Sister.

When did you become so reasonable?

In fact , as long as you don't mind,

I'll come to chat with you often.

Don't you have to

please Lady Zhou?

How can you have time to come to my place?

There is not much I can talk with a old Lady.

I prefer to spend time with you.

Actually,

I'm an old woman too.

You're so funny, sister.

How could you be an old woman?

You're so sweet.

In fact, as long as you are happy,

I have so much

to talk with you.

Sister, I...

I'm a little tired today.

Let's talk next time.

Next time.

Okay then.

Sister, take a rest.

I'll visit you next time.

That girl.

What's she up to?

Magistrate Zhu.

Brother Jiang.

I'm sure there's something going on

since you come here today.

Brother.

Leave us alone .

Yes.

Sect Leader Hua of the Flying Eagles

was killed last night.

What?

Sect Leader Hua...

I met him a few days ago.

Who was responsible for this?

And the murderer used

the Fire Thistles, which is

strictly forbidden by the court.

Fire Thistles?

Yes.

There's been unrest in the court.

I'm sure you've heard about it.

I've indeed heard about this.

But as you know,

the Jiang family has never interfered in political affairs.

We are all at peace

if the world is at peace.

If the country is in danger,

it is the responsibility of everyone.

I see.

His Majesty is in poor health.

He cannot manage the affairs of the court now.

The Hu has repeatedly invaded the border.

The people are not living well.

Someone in the court doesn't care about people's lives

and wants to sign

the forced treaty of peace.

Such shameless people.

Even worse.

Some want to be the emperor

and try to kill the Prince.

Sect Leader Hua was killed

because he followed

my orders to meet the Prince.

I see.

What can I do, Magistrate Zhu?

Please tell me.

Hua's body is now at my residence.

The coroner has examined the body.

I've reported it to the court overnight.

But someone is interfering with the case

to stop the government from investigating.

I'd like to ask Master Jiang to intervene

to find out what happened.

Magistrate Zhu.

I'm no longer the Master of Wulin.

But Sect Leader Hua has been killed.

I should help you.

no matter what.

Thank you, brother Jiang.

But

you can't underestimate your opponents.

They have been planning it

for a long time and have set traps.

They even sent spies

to watch me around my mansion.

Be careful, my brother.

And

this should not be publicized.

The fewer people know about it, the better.

Got it .

Magistrate Zhu.

I'm sorry, I'm late.

Senior Master Jiang.

I have some personal business with Q ingliu today.

So I didn't inform you in advance.

It's my fault.

Okay. It's nothing.

I'll leave now.

I'll see you off.

Please.

Please, Magistrate Zhu.

You may stop there.

Take care, Magistrate Zhu.

Qingliu.

There is a firm principle in our Jiang family

that has been there for 100 years.

The court and Jianghu

are isolated parts.

We don't interfere with each other.

I'll go back to my room, Grandpa.

Come on.

Master Jing.

I know you can't eat it. You feel bad.

Come on, smell it.

Actually, it's not that delicious.

A little salty.

I announce that

there won't no more meat dishes

on the table from now on.

Why?

I am doing it for your own good.

Meat-eaters are short-sighted.

I don't allow you to eat meat

for improving your quality.

Master Jing.

I need nutrition to grow tall.

I have to eat meat.

I never force young people to do things.

Tomorrow,

just try if you can have some chicken.

What's wrong with having chicken?

Jiang Qingliu.

You came in time.

Tell me.

Is it bad for your health to eat meat e very day?

That's good to have meat

and vegetables.

You seem to

suffer a nutritional imbalance.

Look, you've eaten too much meat

and become a little fat.

Right.

He has to stop and take a break only for a few miles

with me on his back recently.

How can that be?

It's a deal.

From now on,

none of you will be allowed to eat meat.

Doctor,

how can we grow strong and defend

our country if we

young people don't eat meat?

Chicken is sweet and warm in nature.

It can invigorate meridians and activate blood circulation.

It's very effective

for detumescence,

consumptive disease

and oedema.

Shut up.

Jiang Qingliu looks worried.

Is there something wrong?

Yeah.

I wanted to talk to you about something.

Is the chicken good?

Yes.

I'm full.

Enjoy your meal. Have some more.

I'm full too.

Brother Qingliu, Sister Jing.

You must be careful on the road.

Idol.

My brother is not as careful as I am.

Let me go with you.

You want to go? No problem.

No, no.

You can't stop nagging every day.

I'm so tired of it.

I'm us ed to riding him.

Idol.

At your service.

I have a more difficult task for you.

This guy is not as good as you.

Brother Qingliu.

This journey must be dangerous.

You must take care of Sister Jing.

Okay, don' t worry.

You should take care of yourself at home.

I will.

That's good.

Keep an eye on that girl.

See what kind of tricks she's playing.

Okay.

Idol, don't worry.

I promise I would

keep watching her.

Well done.

Take a rest.

It's really hard to walk on the mountain road.

I told you that you've ate too much meat lately

and have a lack of exercise.

We didn't go far at all.

The fortress of Flying Eagles is in a complicated terrain.

It's easy to defend and hard to attack it.

Sect Leader Hua made a lot of effort to locate

the fortress here back then.

It's not easy.

He's relieved.

I'm exhausted.

How far we have to go ?

The Flying Eagle's fortress is near the woods.

The villages nearby

all make a living by hunting.

Many merchants from the capital

come here to buy furs.

All right, good.

Jing.

Wh at's wrong with you?

I've been so tired lately.

Maybe it's because I'm getting old.

I'm not feeling well.

Don't worry about me.

Master.

Master

Jiang Qingliu went to the Flying Eagles.

It's Jiang Qingliu again.

He's risking his neck.

Do we take action?

You just guard the weapon.

Don't worry about other things.

Master, do you want to do it in person?

Someone will get even with him.

You're…?

I 'm Hua Feihu,

the second son of the Hua family.

I see.

We are so sorry for your loss.

I will do my best

to find out the truth

for Sect Leader Hua.

Thank you, Brother Jiang.

What the hell.
