Lost Promise

Episode 10

Wanchan.

You'd better go back to clean up.

So shameful.

What are you looking at?

You leave, too.

Little wife.

Let me see your hand.

Isn't it fine?

That finger belongs to Shuigui Jiao.

Shuigui Jiao?

He's quite good.

He seems to be stupid.

But he saved you

at the critical moment.

He deserves to be Ku Lianzi's apprentice.

Jing. Don't make fun of me.

I make fun of you?

All I say is all from the bottom of my heart.

Anyway,

I still want to thank you today.

We are family.

You are welcome.

I didn't treat you well before.

I hope you can understand.

Why are you so polite today?

But

I can really understand you now.

What?

How hard is it

to have a baby?

Why do you have to give him a baby?

Why do you want to marry into Jiang's family?

The Jiang family is a hell.

What's more,

I don't think you love him at all.

Love?

Only you little girls

believe that.

Isn't it because of love

to marry someone?

Do you love Jiang Qingliu?

I used to think so.

What about now?

Now...

I don't know anymore.

That's it.

People change,

constantly.

So will you change too?

Me?

You have to ask

Ku Lianzi if I have changed or not.

Listen.

Fire the alchemy furnace.

Yes.

Master.

Grandpa.

Come in.

Grandpa, are you looking for me?

Qingliu.

Concubinage should be on the agenda.

After what happened in our family,

we need something joyful.

Grandpa, what do you mean?

You also saw how Wanchan looks

when she came back.

As the daughter-in-law of the Jiang family, she has a bad reputation now.

If it is spread out,

it will influence the reputation of the Jiang family.

Grandpa.

Although Shuigui Jiao is not someone noble,

I know

he is upright.

He wouldn't do anything to Wanchan...

I am talking about the bandit.

Grandpa.

I have Jing now.

If I take another concubine,

I am afraid

I will be laughed at by others.

Don't mention that wild girl.

I don't think concubinage is that important.

Then what do you think

is the most important thing?

As the Master of Wulin,

you lost the Dragon Seal.

How dare you talk with me about

what's important and what's not?

Jiang Qingliu.

You lost the Dragon Seal.

So you are no longer the Master of Wulin.

You are just my grandson.

Since I was born,

I have been your grandson.

In the past, at the present

and in the future.

Can I be someone else

other than your grandson?

You're still Jiang Shaosang's son.

Then can't I be myself?

Qingliu.

This is your destiny,

an inescapable destiny.

Destiny?

My destiny is to be forced to practice martial arts by you since childhood,

and to be trained as the Master of Wulin.

After growing up,

you tell me that

it was Boye Jingxing who killed my father.

Am I going to

live in this shadow

and pain for the rest of my life?

Speaking of this,

grandpa,

I want to ask you

if the person who killed

my father was really Boye Jingxing?

If not, was it me?

Grandpa.

You should know the person

who killed my father better than anyone else.

You don't deserve to be the Master of Wulin.

Exactly. I dare not to be the Master of Wulin

in grandpa's heart.

Get out!

AquamarineÿHouse

Wanchan.

Grandparents dislike me because I insulted the family,

and even suspected that I was defiled,

right?

Don't talk nonsense.

Wanchan.

Let's go inside and talk.

It's cold outside.

Qingliu.

Wanchan.

Have you heard

some rumors outside?

In fact,

I shouldn't have come back alive.

Don't talk nonsense.

You think too much.

You just stay here

and have a good rest

these days.

All right?

I will.

My husband.

My lady.

This decoction was specially ordered

by Her Ladyship to make for you.

She said that you must have been

scared of the kidnapping this time.

And she asked you to take this decoction.

I got it.

Thanks grandma for her concern.

What is the use of the Dragon Seal?

Dragon Seal is

the seal of the Master of Wulin.

With it, you can command the world.

I know this.

I'm asking you

does it have any other use?

Dragon Seal really has another use.

What's it?

The sky is dark blue and the earth is yellow.

The sky is dark blue and the earth is yellow.

The universe is vast.

The universe is vast.

The sky is dark blue and the earth is yellow.

The universe is vast.

The universe is vast.

Master.

Grandpa.

Has Qingliu been lazy recently?

No. Young Master has been very good recently.

You may leave.

Okay.

Qingliu, come here.

Come to me.

Qingliu is the best, right?

You must study hard

and practice martial arts hard.

This will be yours when you grow up.

Grandpa, what's this?

This is

the power that only the Master of Wulin has.

What is power?

Power is

you can get whatever you want.

Will I have many toys?

Of course. There will be a very big room

with lots of toys.

And this is the key to open that door.

Understand?

Understood.

Good boy.

I got it.

There is a secret Underground Palace in Wulin.

In this Palace,

there are rare treasures that have been

passed on from generations to generations.

And there is a particularly precious thing in it,

called Luminous Pearl.

It is said that the people who guard the Palace never go out of the mountain,

and have stayed in it for all dynasties.

Only those with the Dragon Seal

can enter.

In this case...

So it means...

they are going to rob the Palace.

These thieves spent so much effort

just for money?

They are so superficial.

The moon is above the sea, and the pearl has no tears.

The pearl has no tears?

No tears.

Luminous Pearl.

The sun and the moon are shining.

Yin-Yang Clan?

Yin-Yang Clan wants Luminous Pearl?

So,

what happened to Jinglebreeze Chateau and Wanchan

was conducted by Yin-Yang Clan?

Now all the clues are clear.

Look. The people of Jinglebreeze Chateau

actually knew from the beginning that Yin-Yang Clan

would use the Dragon Seal to grab the Luminous Pearl.

But before they could tell us,

they were killed by Baili Cichu.

But Baili Cichu

was caught by us

before getting the Dragon Seal.

So they wanted to kidnap Wanchan

in exchange for the Dragon Seal.

But speaking of that,

how could Grandpa didn't know about it?

I'll go to the Palace first.

Let's talk about this when I come back.

Yin-Yang Clan?

You stay here to guard.

Once there is someone, kill them all.

Yes.

You deserve to be the Master of Wulin.

You are both brave and resourceful.

You are from Yin-Yang Clan.

Master Jiang is well-informed.

I will not hide my identity.

I'm Fan Susu from Yin-Yang Clan.

No more nonsense.

People who invades the Palace

will be killed.

Mei.

Go and check

where the Luminous Pearl is.

Okay.

Not necessary.

Luminous Pearl is here.

I will keep it for a few days.

Don't you object, do you?

Luminous Pearl is the treasure of Wulin.

We won't bother Yin-Yang Clan to take care of it.

I advise you to hand over the Luminous Pearl.

All right.

Then come and get it.

Let's go.

They escaped.

Jiang.

Let's take a look.

Close the door.

They didn't take the Dragon Seal.

What they want is Luminous Pearl.

Why does Yin-Yang Clan want Luminous Pearl?

Luminous Pearl has been treasured in the Palace for many years,

which is the treasure of Wulin.

It comes from the sea,

which is the extreme of Yin.

It's invaluable.

But I don't know exactly

what it can do.

Do we still need to chase them?

No. I have set an ambush on the road.

Let's go back directly to the mansion.

Who's that?

I'm here to give you medicine.

Come in.

What is this?

Grandma sent it today.

She said it can help me to recover from the shock.

Fengqing Flower.

It was Her Ladyship who gave you this?

I know I've brought shame to the Jiang family.

The entire Jiang family

can give you nothing but a title.

Qingliu is a good person.

All right.

Then I will show my respect to Master Jiang.

Wanchan.

Drink it.

I will take you to see the Flowing Bamboo.

Your Ladyship.

The medicine has been sent for a while.

I will take a look at Her Lady.

Mu Xiang.

Qingliu has no kid.

Could it be

God's retribution to the Jiang family?

Your Ladyship, don't think like that.

The Jiang family has 100 years of foundation

Its merits are boundless.

If God really can see it,

he will see the sacrifice and dedication of this family.

Just go.

I have asked the butler to prepare

Her Lady's coffin.

Then...

What about the Young Master?

How to explain to him?

You don't have to worry about Qingliu.

I will explain to him.

Yes.

You got it.

Give it to me.

With this Luminous Pearl,

I can achieve the fourth layer of Diurnal Elixir soon.

I fought Jiang Qingliu today.

I heard that the Jiang family's

Nineshadows Stroke is superb.

Did you ever get hurt?

Nineshadows Stroke is ordinary.

Unless...

Unless what?

Unless Jiang Qingliu didn't use all his strength.

You mean Jiang Qingliu let you go on purpose?

This is impossible.

But I feel that his breath is disordered,

and he is lack of internal strength.

He cannot fight me at all.

Jiang Qingliu's breath is disordered?

Interesting.

Now we have got the Luminous Pearl.

You can revenge my dad

when you practice the Diurnal Heart Sutra well.

Jiang's Mansion

Come on.

Let's go.

Be careful.

Qingliu is back.

Grandma.

I got

the Dragon Seal.

Really?

That's good.

We didn't bring shame to Wulin

and the title of the Master of Wulin.

Grandpa.

Even if I am not the Master,

I should take back

the Dragon Seal.

Nonsense.

You are now the Master of Wulin.

You can order the world.

You are not allowed to say that

you are not the Master of Wulin.

Jiang.

Don't let Master Jiang worry anymore.

Why is someone crying outside?

Qingliu.

Wanchan is gone.

What?

Gone?

Maybe she felt shameless to face Jiang's family,

so she ran away from home.

Even Ning Xiang doesn't know.

But sister-in-law...

She deserves to be the daughter-in-law of the Jiang family.

What a chaste woman!

How come?

Lin'an is small.

Have you looked for her?

We did.

We looked for everywhere we could.

And we've sent many people.

No news at all.

I will look for her by myself.

Jiang.

Jiang.

How's it going?

No.

Nothing.

Have you ever seen a girl

who is that tall and beautiful?

No.

No.

Let's go.

Ning Xiang.

Ning Xiang.

Where did Wanchan go?

I have no idea.

You have no idea?

Tell me.

Tell me where did she go.

I have no idea.

How could you have no idea?

Tell me where did she go.

I couldn't find her, either.

I don't know.

Qingliu.

In fact,

if you really lost your martial arts,

it would be nice

to be an ordinary person.

Wanchan.

I have been out these years.

I'm sorry.

Qingliu.

Let me say one last thing.

You can be sad because of Wanchan,

but don't let the whole Jiang family worry you so much.

You are now

the master of the Jiang family.

Kid.

Come drink with me.

I just saw Her Ladyship.

Pearl red?

No idea.

I dug it out under the albizia tree in your yard.

I smell this flavor far away.

It really is a good liquor.

This was stored by my father

He wanted to drink with my mother after coming back from

the battle with you.

But he never came back.

My mother

was too sad.

In the end,

she died for love

due to the pain of lovesickness.

And this pearl red

has never been mentioned

or moved.

I never killed your dad.

Furthermore,

are you sure

your mother killed herself?

Here.

Here you are.

I...

Let's go.

I will help you out first.

Come on.

Does it still hurt?

I am a doctor.

I can deal with this kind of injuries well.

But for your emotional injury...

The injury can be cured.

Can I be saved if my mind is dead?

No idea.

Would you like to try?

Your...

Wanchan.

Do you remember where I told you?

The Flowing Bamboo.

I will take you there now.

Let's go.

He drank quite a lot.

Who's that?

It's me, Ku Lianzi.

What's up?

You two...?

Little wife left

yesterday.

So I drank with him

to comfort him.

And then?

Then we fell asleep.

What happened next?

You knocked the door.

And I opened the door for you.

Go with me.

Go.

The List of Bride-price

Your Ladyship, here is your white fungus soup.

Put it there.

Bride-price should be taken seriously.

Just follow this list to prepare.

Your Ladyship, I'll do it right now.

Your Ladyship.

As soon as Her Lady passed away,

we take care of the wedding.

Will there be any gossip?

We are old.

I don't care that much.

I just want a grandson.

What about Master...

Grandma.

Qingliu.

Are you looking for me?

Qingliu, sit down.

Qingliu.

Why do you have dark rings under your eyes?

Didn't you rest well?

Well...

Leave us alone.

I will chat with grandma alone.

Just go.

Grandma.

Yesterday I had a drink with Jing.

And we stayed up late.

That wild girl

is crazy all day long

and has a glib tone.

If she is as cultured as Wanchan,

I won't worry about you.

Grandma.

Stop talking about this.

All right.

But Wanchan has left.

If she wants to be the legal wife,

I definitely disagree.

Your grandpa won't agree, either.

Grandma, what are you talking about?

Jing didn't even think about being the legal wife.

Didn't she?

After discussing within the clan,

we want you to marry another wife.

What?

Grandma.

Wanchan just left and we don't even know if she is alright.

Marrying another wife

is nonsense.

We are open and aboveboard.

Who dares to make fun of you?

I don't agree with this anyway.

I see.

But you also have to understand

your grandpa and me.

Look at Jing,

she does not seem to be a master of housework.

She messes around all day.

You

still need a person who is sensible

and knows how to manage the family.

Grandma.

All right.

I hope you understand

the intentions of your grandparents.

I know what you are thinking.

I don't agree with this anyway.

Grandma.

I really don't want to think about it now.

All right.

Let's discuss it next time.

Well...

Thank you, grandma.

I'll leave then

if there is nothing else.

You!

Look at him.

Take a look.

So,

it's not that she wants to run away from home,

but the Jiang family wants to kill her.

Then she was rescued by Shuigui Jiao.

Then the two of them

eloped to Cocklebur Island?

So courageous of them.

Sorry, Master.

I just found it out.

Well.

I didn't know

that he looks so upright

and clumsy-headed,

but he is quite manly at critical moments.

This brat.

I have raised him for so many years in vain.

He just wrote this and left.

He went too far.

I think Shuigui Jiao

is more promising than you.

Chuan Huadie.

Chuan Huadie.

Jing.

Don't be sad.

Why should I be sad?

Haven't you heard of it?

Heard of what?

You are about to lose your status.

What?

Is there another masterpiece?

No way.

I mean your position

in the Jiang family.

My position in the Jiang family?

What would Jiang Qingliu

dare to do to me?

I hope he can do something to you.

Can you just

speak straightforward?

Jiang Qingliu is going to marry Lady Jin.

Are you sure?

I am absolutely sure.

Here.

Wanchan.

It's wet and cold all year round,

and it has been unoccupied for a long time.

I'm afraid you can't take it.

Take some soup.

Being with me makes you suffer.

If it weren't for you,

I would have died a long time ago.

But...

Stop.

Do you think I can't live without someone

taking care of me?

I didn't think so.

Then what's in your mind?

I...

I just hope

you don't just treat me as a lifesaver.

Shuigui Jiao, listen carefully.

I, Shan Wanchan, would like to be with you,

not just because you saved my life,

but because of you.

Don't you

ask such a silly question in the future.

Why are you smirking?

It's late.

You go make the bed first.

Go to bed early.

Okay.

Okay.

I really like here.

There is a slight smell of medicine in the air.

It smells as good as you.

Yesterday I came up with a new method that could

help you nurture your meridians well.

If we follow this method,

you will be able to

regain your power within ten days.

Would you be so kind?

You have no conscience

at all.

Take a look.

Let me see.

This...

Let's take a try.

Lord Nangong wants to know

how is the matter talked with Master Wei

going on?

Susu.

When will these things arrive?

A few days ago, the people who were sent to the foreign country reported that

these firearms have been already at sea.

If there is no storm,

they should arrive within half a month.

What if there are storms?

You...

Chief Liu, don't worry.

I said it will arrive in half a month.

The God won't let it exceed fifteen days.

That's okay.

I have to go.

Hold on.

I heard that

you went to Amberverde Mansion a few days ago.
