Citron Call!

Why?

Why on earth?!

How incredible...

This healing ability!

It's truly miraculous!

Nomi! What did you do to Chiyu?!

What have you done?!

Through an endless sky we fly

guided by invisible wings

Far in the distance the future awaits us

though as yet we cannot see it

Why have I already awoken?

Day and night pass by too fast

We live our lives engulfed by hazy darkness and knowing it

The day I found you a wind blew that changed it all

A trembling passion

Everything was part of a process that led me to you

Slowly opening up my eyes within the blackness

I can feel how the future will be from far away

and want it to send my heart racing

It's unlimited

It's unlimited

If I can believe in myself again

I will awaken to the light

because you believed in me and now you are here

Never let me go

I'll never lose my way

Here we make a new world

and I'll be proud of the wounds it took

So we smash gravity

A flying ability and a healing ability...

Two unbelievably rare powers are both mine now.

Stealing such abilities feels absolutely wonderful!

Being able to crush people's hopes, dreams, and potential... It's like I'm God!

I love it. I can't get enough!

You...

The fight has already been decided, Arita.

Why don't you get back down on your knees and beg for mercy again?

What're you waiting for?

Go on, put on a show. I'm sure Kurashima wants to see it too.

Nomi!

Nomi!

Taku!

You made Chiyu cry!

How embarrassing...

It's like I'm embarrassed for you, Mayuzumi.

Taku! No!

Now, disappear!

No...

No!

Taku!

Why are losers always so laughable?

They writhe around so much that even their pride escapes them.

I'm a bit disappointed you weren't more clever than that, Mayuzumi.

You're just another woodlouse.

Nomi...

You...

You're...

Then destroy him

Destroy him.

Destroy and devour. Feast on his flesh,

drink his blood, devour him whole...

Destroy...

Devour...

Nomi...

Oh? Still not finished, Arita?

You want to just throw your pride away like your friend did?

Do you think going down together makes you better friends?

How gross.

Nomi...

Yes, devour. Rip him apart.

Devour!

Huh? The same type of attack?!

Disappear! Go away, Nomi!

I never want to see you again!

Go away! Go away! Go away!

You insolent little...

Stop it. Please, no more...

Go away! Go away!

Enough!

Keep going, Arita.

Oh right,

time ran out.

Hey, Arita!

Where are you off to? The toilet?

Haru, stop. What are you gonna do?

You already know. Nomi...

He did something to Chiyu.

So what? You gonna go hit him?

You can't get caught attacking a freshman!

You think we should just let this go?

He threatened her somehow and she's just doing whatever he wants!

No!

If we lose control, we'd be giving him exactly what he wants!

You think I'm not pissed? You have no idea.

You did jump in there first, just now...

True story.

It's been a long time since I've lost that badly.

Let's head back.

I'll look—

No, we'll both look after Chiyu.

This spot is just out of the security camera's range.

Nomi might be using them for surveillance, but he can't see or hear us out here.

What did he threaten to do to you?

Please tell us, Chiyu.

Don't worry, we can beat him with your power.

So whatever he said...

You're wrong. Huh?

He didn't threaten me. I went to him.

I asked him to be my partner.

I said I'd be his healer if he shared points with me.

No way...

Don't be stupid. Why would—

Are you bugged right now? Can he hear us?

No. I'm serious.

I joined up with Nomi.

But, Chiyu...

Are you deaf? I made up my mind.

That's my decision.

I don't believe it.

From now on, let's not get involved with the Nega Nebulous.

We've all had our real identity revealed anyway, so...

Later.

Chiyu...

Why did you become a Burst Linker?

The three of us together...

Come to my place.

Sure.

Are you hungry? I've only got frozen pizza though.

Yeah, that works for me.

Teaming up with Nomi makes sense if all you're after is points.

But it's Chiyu we're talking about. She lacks game sense.

She'd probably lose a fight in a turn-based RPG

if she wasn't careful.

Do you honestly think she cares about points?

No, I don't. Not at all.

Seriously.

Thanks.

So, I really don't think it's that.

She either did it on a whim or was tricked somehow.

But...

You could see it in her eyes.

She's serious about Nomi...

Let's eat.

This tastes like crap when it gets cold.

No fair, Haru! Your piece is bigger than mine!

Taku...

Taku.

I trust Chiyu. But I just can't believe what she said!

Haru...

I'm right.

There's no way she'd team up with Nomi for points.

There has to be something else going on.

That's true, but...

Even if teaming up with him was her idea,

she shouldn't have done it anyway.

He's just going to use her and then throw her away.

Are you okay with that?

Of course not. But what can we do?

We have to destroy Nomi,

Dusk Taker.

Then we'll get to hear the truth.

Chiyu wouldn't be afraid to talk to us about it then.

Am I wrong?{Yes, he's fucking with you in real life.

NOT EVERYTHING CAN BE SOLVED IN VIDEO GAMES HARU}

That's not exactly an easy thing to accomplish.

It might sound weak, but we should think about it carefully.

First of all, he doesn't even appear on the match list,

so it's pretty much impossible to challenge him to a duel.

But if he keeps cheating on his tests, our chances aren't too bad.

And there's one thing in our favor...

Something in our favor?

If he's cheating on his tests and in kendo,

he must be using up his points at an incredible rate.

Nomi is Level 5 and he's using physical

commands that consume five points each time.

There's no way he has much left over in his reserve.

And he's certainly not participating in regular duels...

He probably doesn't have any points to spare.

Right, so if we can beat him several times we should be able to get him down to zero.

But...

Can we beat him in a fight?

Not only does he have the ability to fly, but now he's got a healing ability too.

It'll be tricky,

but there's one way...

Taku,

have you heard of the incarnate system?

Incarnate system?

Accel World

Accel World

The power of one's will?

Yes.

Taker's slicing and dicing technique along with my sword of light

are both top tier finishers that use a Burst

Linker's image power as an energy source.

Was it Sky Raker who taught you all that?

You really have a way with older girls, don't you, Haru?

Is now really the time for that?

I won't be much help in battle without that power, that's for sure.

But how does one acquire it?

Why don't we go and pay Raker another visit?

If we ask Ash Roller,

He'll probably be all like, "Hey, hey!"

"This ain't a charity! You little punk."

You're astonishingly good at that...

There has to be another way.

Let's give it a little more thought.

I'll let you know if I think of something.

Sorry about making you miss kendo practice.

Don't worry about it. See ya.

But,

what was that feeling coursing through me?

I felt it

even down in my heart.

Snow Black! Please wait!

You're just gonna leave me because I lost my wings?

Don't you need me anymore?

Because you have those wings...

Because you have those wings, you can just fly wherever you want...

And now,

you won't be flying anywhere.

You'll be locked away forever, here in the depths of Hell.

With me...

You're the same as me.

What on earth was I doing?

No! That's not what I want at all!

I just want to be with her...

Direct link.

Command dive call, number 01.

Would you like to start pansensory communication with number 01? Would you like to start pansensory communication with number 01? Would you like to start pansensory communication with number 01?

Would you like to start pansensory communication with number 01?

OK OK

OK

Sending signal... Sending signal...

Good morning, Haruyuki.

Snow Black!

Why would you be surprised?

You called me.

Ah, good morning. I'm sorry. I didn't think you'd answer.

I just woke up actually. Was thinking about going back to sleep.

This place is awfully dreary.

Do you mind if I change it?

Please...

I bought this yesterday.

The color seems a little different than the sample.

Oh well. Have a seat and stay a while.

I would probably enjoy sitting here enjoying

the scenery with you all day, if I could.

Right. I'm sorry.

Oh, there's no reason to apologize. I assume it's something very urgent.

Well, I was just lonely...

Being so far apart and not being able to see you has been really hard on me,

and I just...

For me too.

I've missed you too, Haruyuki.

I've never had a single week feel like a lifetime before,

even though I've spent much longer periods of

time doing continuous dives in Accel World...

I've missed you too.

Snow Black...

We'll see each other soon, right? In three days...

Yes,

that's right.

I've looked into various things, but the incarnate system appears to be top secret.

It's so amazing, you'd be crazy to offer information to anyone who asked.

Raker probably isn't the only person who knows.

Even Ash Roller knows about it.

The kings would probably know...

Our master, too.

She's never mentioned it.

We can't ask her now. She'd realize something was wrong.

Well in this case, telling her might be a good idea—

No. If she knew, she'd definitely come back and

destroy both Nomi and Chiyu.

Right. But the other kings wouldn't...

That's true.

There are only seven kings...

Wait, I know.

In northern Suginami...

You mean Scarlet Rain?

Yeah, I'm sure Niko would know.

Thank you.

Haru? What's up?

It's Chiyu.

Hey.

Morning.

Chiyu...

I see.

We were probably right yesterday.

Yep, but there's no time to feel bad about it.

Let's go to Nerima after school.

Can you skip practice?

Yeah, no problem.

Career Services

Arita. I know it's hard to believe,

but I wasn't really popular at school either.

Huh?

So I understand how hard things can be for kids your age. I do!

I really do!

Arita!

Yes?

If there's something you need to tell me, now's your chance.

Like for example, about what happened on Sunday the 14th!

Um...

Yes? What is it? You can tell me anything.

I came to school to meet a friend in the kendo club on the 14th.

Is that all?

That's all.

And I'm going to record this conversation.

Haru.

Something bad must've happened.

Seems so. I was just interrogated by Mr. Kanno.

What do you think it's about?

What happened?

All I know is that I haven't done anything I should be ashamed of.

Arita, would you come with me for a minute?

To the roof. I'm sure you don't want to talk about this here.

Hang on—

It's fine! Let's go.

Haru...

My girlfriend was in the shower room when they found that camera!

She was so embarrassed that she's been out of school for two days!

What you did is just unforgivable!

Hit me as much as you want,

but the answer you get won't change.

What'd you say?

I didn't do a damn thing.

If you can prove it, you can hit me as much as you want.

But if they find you guilty,

I'm going to crush your neuro-linker!

Things like this...

This is nothing new.

I've been through much worse than this, so many times.

I can't cry!

I can't smile!

I'll lose either way.

I told myself I wasn't going to look down anymore.

I'll claw my way back up from here.

I'll just keep getting back up!

Not like before. Now I've...

I've...

I want you to fight for what really needs protection.

That's right. Now I've got something worth protecting.

I held out my hands, yet my dreams were farther

as I looked up to the Heavens and understood nothing

I was looking, yearning for an answer

yet pretended I'd given up caring about it

I used to be alone and had what my future meant down wrong

There's no denying it

All you have is so warm

since all of it is true love and true tenderness

All you think fascinates me

since all of it are true feelings and true strength

I want to tell you of my love

Next time, "Insurrection."

The time for rebellion is coming.

Haruyuki gets help from the Red King and heads for Akihabara.
