Episode 20

Is it really because of Wan Jun Sword?

Rong.

Rong, you're awake.

Yue Zhu.

Yue Zhu.

I'll gather the tools and repair you later.

It's alright.

Don't worry about me. It doesn't hurt.

Yes, Chief Sima?

-Help me up. -Yes.

What is it?

We received a letter from Jiangzhou City.

-I'm informed. -Yes.

Rong, who's the sender?

It's from Guan Yu House.

Another letter for Chief Gu?

But, he never comes back.

He has a reason for that.

There's a reason behind...

every obsession in this world.

When you can't forgive and let go,

you'll be in agony.

When you can forgive but can't let go,

you'll also be in agony.

It's alright. I'll buy some candies for you.

Rong, tell me a story.

Where were we that day?

Xiao Zhu's kite got stuck on a tree...

and Xiao Ma retrieved it for her.

What happened after that?

How did they become friends?

Remember to look meaner later.

Don't worry, young lady.

We're famous for our acting.

It'll definitely look real.

We're just worried about hurting you.

Don't worry. You won't have to take responsibility for that.

If you do a good job, I'll hire you guys again.

Alright.

Get ready. He's coming.

Let's go.

-It's you. -Stop right there!

Stop right there!

-What's going on? -This is Nan Yue Sect's business!

You should know your place and stay out of our way!

This is my friend.

Her business is my business.

So you want it the hard way? Go, brothers!

Leave.

Try this.

You're a good cook.

If you like it,

I can cook for you every day. What do you think?

I thought you went back to Nan Yue Sect.

Why were you pursued?

My master sent me to kill someone.

But, I don't want to do that. So, I fled.

Rong, you saved me twice.

Since I've nowhere to go now,

why don't you do me one more favour and let me stay here?

And then?

Did Xiao Ma take in Xiao Zhu?

Yes.

I know.

I bet Xiao Ma eventually fell in love with Xiao Zhu.

Am I right?

Yes. He fell in love with her.

But, what will happen if Xiao Ma realizes that...

Xiao Zhu has been lying to him?

The truth is, Xiao Ma...

knew that she was lying to him all along.

But, even though he knew that she had a secret...

and that she did all those things on purpose,

he couldn't help...

wanting to know more.

Eventually,

he got trapped.

That's all for today.

I've looked it up.

The magic power my father is cultivating...

won't render him unconsciousness for so long.

What exactly is the reason?

That's the case, my lady.

Did you contact him again?

My lady, he's a man with a bad temper.

He said he doesn't want to have anything to do with us anymore.

We sent 2 men to talk to him.

He killed one and freed the other.

What are Aunt Su Ruo and Officer Chi planning?

Why haven't they mentioned anything?

My lady.

To bait Qin Zhi Yan,

we'll just have to make it known that Qin Yu is here.

We don't have to go through so much trouble...

to contact Yuan Jie.

If the word gets out that Qin Yu is in Jian Xin Sect,

Qin Qian Xian will be the first one to come.

How do you deal with him?

Since Qin Zhi Yan is the one we want to bait,

the news should reach Qin Zhi Yan alone.

But now, Wan Lu Sect is on guard.

Li Chen Lan killed all the spies I sent.

Qin Zhi Yan is also protected by the Dark Guards.

If we want the news to reach her alone,

Yuan Jie is the best candidate for the job.

Who is it?

It's probably just the wind. Let's go.

If we lure Qin Zhi Yan over and capture her,

Li Chen Lan will surely show up.

Once he attacks Jian Xin Sect,

he will break the peace.

Once the peace is broken,

I will have a reason to hold a Grand Meeting.

Liu Wei is under my manipulation spell.

By then, I will make him...

force Qin Qian Xian to contribute his blood.

There shouldn't be a problem.

Once I obtain Qin Qian Xian's blood,

you will be awake.

Once the Gold Deity returns,

our glory will be restored.

I need to go to Wan Lu Sect to warn Zhi Yan.

You really came back at a bad timing.

Chief Yuan.

Will Jian Xin Sect seek revenge on us...

for killing their men?

I don't know...

what that widow Liu Su Ruo is planning.

But, since she came to me, she must want something from me.

I'd like to find out what she's up to.

Does it have something to do with master?

I heard that master...

went to Jiangzhou City not long ago.

After that, he summoned Gu Han Guang for treatment.

It must be a severe injury.

That's Jiang Wu's deed.

Jian Xin Sect has nothing to do with it.

That widow in Jian Xian Sect...

must be targeting Qin Zhi Yan.

As for Li Chen Lan,

I'll go and check on him.

If he's severely injured,

I guess it's time...

he steps down.

Three, four.

Demoness.

We haven't seen Li Chen Lan for so many days.

Are you sure you don't want to apologize to him?

When can the two of you make up?

What's the matter? Do you miss Li Chen Lan?

As I said, if you want to apologize, do it yourself.

I didn't make him angry.

Besides, you said something so mean.

Don't you feel guilty at all?

Did I forget to tell you to...

come to my place today to change the dressing...

or did you intentionally...

What's going on?

Your injury isn't easy to treat at all.

You rarely hold a brush.

What are you writing?

I haven't heard from Pretty Girl for days.

I'm writing a letter to her.

Wu, I'll be frank with you.

In my honest opinion,

Qin Zhi Yan is just trying to buy time.

Maybe she doesn't really...

I know what she's thinking.

I like her witty ways.

Give me some suggestions.

What should I write...

to make myself look cool and impressive...

while expressing my fondness for her...

without sounding desperate?

Writing a letter is so hard. It's harder than killing people.

If you want it to be implicit,

who don't you write poems?

Don't women from the Immortal Sects love those things?

Poems?

Come here and write one.

Lin Zi Yu.

I've something important to discuss with master.

Master is training in isolation.

He ordered us to leave him alone for 3 days.

Chief Yuan, please come back on another day.

Lin Zi Yu.

You got in my way several times...

and I can forgive you for that.

But this time, I've an urgent business on hand.

If you don't let me pass,

I'll have to be rude.

The Dark Guards only obey the sect leader.

I'm acting upon master's order.

-What's going on outside? -If you insist to intrude,

-Someone wants you dead. -we'll have to be rude!

Your injury...

comes with lightning lesions...

because of the Liuhetianyi Sword.

Now, there's another dark energy coming out of your wounds.

Explain.

What's going on?

I don't know the actual reason,

but I believe your injury...

has something to do with your Wan Jun Sword.

If you want to live longer,

stop using the sword...

and recuperate properly for a month.

I'm lucky enough to be alive today.

I don't expect myself to live long.

If I save him again, I'll chop off my hand!

What's so urgent, Chief Yuan?

Master.

I recently noticed that...

the Immortal Sects led by Jian Xin Sect...

seem to be plotting against us.

What are they plotting?

I'm still investigating.

What kind of urgent business is this?

Master.

I recently learnt that...

you sustained an injury because of Qin Zhi Yan.

I'm really worried.

Qin Zhi Yan was a member of the Immortal Sects.

Ever since she joined Wan Lu Sect,

the Immortal Sects have been giving us troubles.

I'm worried about...

It's alright.

I will take care of the Immortal Sects.

Even though Qin Zhi Yan came from the Immortal Sects,

she is my disciple now.

Do not bring up the matter of her past again.

This is my final warning.

Alright.

If this is your wish,

I'll leave it at this. Goodbye.

Go back to your work.

Yes.

Master.

What is it?

There's been a lot going on lately.

Please take good care of yourself.

You're back, Chief Gu.

What is this?

Chief Sima sent this letter to us.

It's from Guan Yu House.

It's not time to send them the medicine for this month yet.

What is this letter for?

I have benefited from your prescription for many years.

I'm very thankful.

But today, an expert examined my pulse...

and studied your prescription.

He then gave me a few suggestions.

The expert said that...

if he were to prescribe medicine for me,

he'd go for less pipewort...

and more privet fruit...

to make the medicine even more effective.

As such, I decided to write you a letter...

to inform you of this,

so that you may consider his suggestions.

What nonsense is this?

Chief Gu.

Letter for Pretty Girl!

That fellow actually sent me a letter?

That fellow? Who?

Jiang Wu from New Mountain.

You really plan to join hands with him?

Read the letter.

Pretty Girl.

I've missed you.

Here's a poem to convey my feelings.

"Dark clouds gather and the silky rain falls."

"My yearning shoots across the sky like lightning."

What does that mean?

He's probably saying that he's missing you.

Since you understand, reply the letter for me.

Don't give him any information.

Just brush him off and please him.

Alright.

Chief Shen!

Chief Shen! He replied!

What?

That mysterious man replied!

Do not believe the words of that mediocre physician.

I have given you the best prescription.

Nothing must be changed.

All these years, he has been sending me medicine...

without saying a word.

This time, he replied...

just to disapprove the leader of Xu Zong Sect.

He must be very confident in his medical knowledge.

The messenger is still outside. Do you want to reply?

I can get him to deliver the letter.

I shall not reply.

He must have replied in a fit of anger.

If I reply,

he might find us nosy...

and bothersome.

-You may retire. -Yes.

One's writing reflects one's character.

He must be a critical person.

Wu.

Look.

Pretty Girl replied?

"Let us not be sentimental or poetic."

"With this...

How do I read this?

"Plain paper".

"With this plain paper I convey my feelings."

"Whether you look up or down."

"My feelings remain unchanged."

What does this mean?

She's probably...

assuring you that she won't disappoint you.

That's all?

I guess that's it.

All these words...

just for that?

Pretty Girl is being even more indirect.

That's a nice embroidery from Ms. Zhi Yan.

You like it? Then you can have it.

Really?

I've had enough of this romantic game.

If she keeps on brushing me off,

it means that she doesn't take me seriously.

Master.

See you at the waterfall.

Why are you here?

Don't tell me it was you...

who sent me those letters?

So what if it was me?

Ew!

You're so disgusting!

You impersonated her and wrote me romantic poems!

Are you sick?

So what?

I got it now.

You're worried that she might fall head over heels for me...

and run off with me.

So, you used that despicable method to stop me.

Are you worried that she might dump you...

for me?

You're jealous and angry.

But, you don't dare to confront her.

So, you started sending romantic poems to me.

Or maybe...

I'm the one you like.

I know you want to kill me now.

But, I'm just a puppet.

You can't really kill me.

Let's make a bet.

I decline.

Li Chen Lan.

You disgusting thing.

Yes!

Chief Yuan.

Jian Xin Sect's messengers came again today.

This is the letter.

What's the letter about?

A problem that has been bothering me.

These sly foxes of the Immortal Sects...

Demoness.

Why do you want to come out with me today?

I went to the Land of Rest to check my account yesterday.

My money is increasing too slowly.

So, I decided to monitor you today...

and see if you're doing your job properly.

Demoness.

I work so hard to do good things for you every day.

How could you doubt me?

Ms. Zhi Yan.

You came again, Ms. Zhi Yan.

You're the kindest person in this world!

Don't say that.

Even though the weather has gotten warmer,

it's still very cold at night.

So, I brought some clothes for you all...

to keep yourselves warm.

-Thank you, Ms. Zhi Yan. -You're so thoughtful.

Don't thank me.

Just keep in mind that...

I'm helping you all on behalf of Lu Zhao Yao.

-Thank you, Ms. Zhi Yan. -Thank you.

This is for you. Here you go.

Granny, let me help you.

Let me help you.

-Goodbye. -Goodbye.

You want to get there?

-I'll escort you. -Alright.

Thank you.

Let me help you.

Be careful.

She's hardworking and dedicated indeed.

She's like the goddess of Shun'an Town now.

It wasn't easy at all to arrange this meeting with you.

As there is a misunderstanding between you and Lady Chang Yu,

I came to explain ourselves.

I'm only willing to join hands with you all...

because I want to bring down Li Chen Lan.

We're only temporarily bound together by benefits.

There's no friendship between us.

The next time we meet,

we might still be enemies.

What do you all want?

We just want you to...

deliver a letter to Qin Zhi Yan.

Qin Zhi Yan was originally a member of the Immortal Sects.

I believe you want her to return to us as well.

And now, Li Chen Lan is in love with Qin Zhi Yan.

If we can lure her to our base...

You want to kill Li Chen Lan in your base?

I can't guarantee that we can kill Li Chen Lan,

but we can definitely injure him.

As for the rest,

it's up to you.

Qin Zhi Yan won't go back to Jian Xin Sect.

We'll take care of that.

You'll just have to deliver the letter.

Alright!

What was Yuan Jie doing in Zhuochen Hall?

No idea.

Should we inform master of this?

Keep it from him for now.

But...

Yes.

Wu.

Are you not going to write a letter for that person in Mount Chenji today?

Forget about that.

It'll just fall into the hands of that disgusting guy.
