Episode 10

Do you know Master had a competition...

with Miss Zhi Yan at the Summit of Xiyue?

Is it?

-It was really romantic. -How so?

Miss Zhi Yan said she has never killed a bug before.

Master led Miss Zhi Yan to kill a bug with a swish.

Is it?

Look at this trick. Next time, let's go out,

and take the girls to kill the insects.

Why would our Master fall for a girl from the Immortal Sects?

-And it happened in a sudden. -Enough!

It's late and you're still not in bed.

Go and practice your skills if you're not going to sleep.

Where's Ah Da?

Ah Da is keeping an eye on Miss Zhi Yan.

He's on duty day and night. He seldom comes back.

I got it. You're dismissed.

Yes.

Let's go.

"Qian Chen Pavilion"

Chief, you didn't bring Miss Zhi Yan back?

Sect Leader Li doesn't want to let Miss Zhi Yan leave.

If we want to bring her back, it's going to take some effort.

It's fine.

It might be safer for her...

to be in Wan Lu Sect than in the Immortal Sects.

How so?

I suspect that...

the person who killed Qin Yu...

is from the Immortal Sects.

Last night, I noticed that Li Chen Lan...

is extremely protective of her.

Right now, it might be safer for her to be in Wan Lu Sect.

You still suspect Sect Leader Liu?

The matter still needs to be investigated.

Besides, how much do you know...

about Jiang Wu of Xin Shan?

We've only recently heard of Jiang Wu.

His background is a mystery.

Previously, he was under Tu Ying of Xin Shan.

Not long ago, he killed Tu Ying and took over...

the position as the leader of Xin Shan.

Recently, he's moving around in Jiangzhou City.

He has an evil and unreasonable way of doing things.

It seems like he wants to compete with Wan Lu Sect.

Qin Qian Xian...

is really at ease with Wan Lu Sect.

But from the looks of it,

if we want Qin Zhi Yan's blood,

we'll have to rely on ourselves to do that.

My lady.

I've contacted Yuan Jie.

True enough, he's still unable to forget about the son of his enemy.

-But Lu Qi... -That person is Lu Qi?

Yes.

Back then, he escaped from Yuan Jie.

The Gold Deity had helped him a lot.

If not, he wouldn't have survived up until now.

Lady Chang Yu.

Ever since the Gold Deity has been sealed off,

I seldom come to Mount Feng.

I seldom visit children like you who were under the Gold Deity's care.

Although the Gold Deity has been sealed off,

we've never forgotten the favour that the Gold Deity has done for us.

That's great.

Lu Qi.

Right now, I have a way to resurrect the Gold Deity.

But I might need your help.

There's a way to resurrect the Gold Deity?

My lady, just tell me.

If I can help, I will do my best.

You're a really good kid.

The Gold Deity's effort to protect you wasn't in vain.

But...

This method requires a huge sacrifice.

-It's a big ask. -My lady, quickly tell me.

So long as we can resurrect the Gold Deity,

I'm willing to exchange my life with it.

Well, what if...

it requires you to use your life in exchange?

I'm willing to.

Zhi Yan.

Don't stay here.

-This place... -It's good here.

I won't return with you.

-I must learn the skills for revenge. -It must be a misunderstanding.

What misunderstanding?

I saw it with my own eyes.

Liu Wei...

Dad.

-Dad! -Don't come over!

I must avenge my dad.

Stop talking about going back.

We...

will never...

be able to return to the past.

You can't stay in Wan Lu Sect though.

What's wrong with Wan Lu Sect?

My uncle agreed to let me stay here. He think it's safer here as well.

Zhi Yan.

This girl from the Immortal Sects is so shameless.

She pestered Master at night.

She secretly visited the young master of Immortal Sect during the day.

Sister Zi Yu.

Should we report it to Master?

No need for that.

Why is Qin Zhi Yan...

behaving like two different people...

during the day and night?

I'll surely prove that...

Jian Xin Sect is innocent.

The losers are always in the wrong.

I'll give you a chance now.

Fight me.

Win or die together.

Or you can fight each other.

The winner can live on.

Brother.

Both of us are brothers.

How can a devil like you drive a wedge between us?

We're at your disposal.

-Just bring it on. -All right.

Bring it on then.

People!

Chief.

Recently, is there any news about Jiang Wu?

We just heard that...

all the Dark Guards of Wan Lu Sect...

died in the hands of Jiang Wu in Jiangzhou City.

The Dark Guards?

That's weird.

Why is the Chief so concerned about Jiang Wu?

-Chief! -What's the matter?

I've confirmed it.

Our people who went out to find Jiang Wu...

All of them...

All of them are already...

Master.

The Dark Guards who were sent to Jiangzhou City...

have been completely annihilated.

Completely annihilated?

Yes.

Their bodies are still in the courtyard...

of the west side of Jiangzhou City.

Chief Qin.

Why are you here?

I heard something happened in Jiangzhou City.

I'm here to take a look.

Jiang Wu...

will pay the price...

for all that he has done today.

How sinful.

Thank you, Chief Qin.

It's what I should do.

Jiang Wu keeps provoking Wan Lu Sect.

I won't spare him.

Sect Leader Li.

I have a suggestion.

Please.

Jiangzhou City is the border for Mount Chenji and the Immortal Sects.

It's a sensitive location.

If Wan Lu Sect makes a move on Jiang Wu in a haste,

I'm afraid it might cause a dispute in the pugilistic world.

But Jiangzhou City is adjacent to Qian Chen Pavilion.

Jiang Wu has caused harm here for a long time.

Qian Chen Pavilion is willing to join forces with Wan Lu Sect...

to bring this person down.

What do you think?

That's great.

I heard that the Chief of Qian Chen Pavilion...

isolates himself from the worldly affairs.

Never would I expect that you would make such a decision.

One who cultivates righteousness should care for the people.

Jiang Wu isn't part of it.

Never did I expect...

that I would one day meet the Chief of North Hills in a calm manner.

Where's Lu Qi?

Don't be anxious.

If you agree to work with us,

Lu Qi will show up before you.

Tell me. What do you want?

Our disciple, Qin Zhi Yan, has recently joined Wan Lu Sect,

and taken Li Chen Lan as master.

I suppose you have heard of it.

We want that girl.

You went to great lengths,

and it turns out that it's all because of a girl?

She is no ordinary girl.

I've placed my man in Wan Lu Sect.

When the time comes, I hope that you will lend him a hand.

It's a small matter.

So, that means you've agreed to work with us?

Where's the person that I want?

Lu Qi.

He's right here.

Yuan Jie, you...

Back then, the Immortal Sects killed my wife and children.

Today, I have finally taken the revenge.

What goes around, comes around.

How delightful!

The person that you want...

will be delivered to you the day after tomorrow.

I, Yuan Jie, am a man of my word.

If you don't hand her over by then...

we won't go easy on you.

I'm not useless like the people from the Immortal Sects.

Chief of North Hills.

You're the one placed in here by the Immortal Sects?

Yes.

I hope that you'll look out for me...

so that I can approach Qin Zhi Yan as soon as possible.

A piece of cake.

I'll arrange a room for you at the Summit of Xiyue.

That will bring you closer to Qin Zhi Yan.

Thank you, Chief of North Hills.

Every day, I'm busy doing good deeds for Demoness.

It's so tiring.

Miss, you look as if you're in a trance.

Are you all right?

I'm fine.

Fortunately, you are here.

-Thank you. -You're welcome.

I've seen you before at the Summit of Xiyue.

You're Master's disciple, Miss Zhi Yan?

You recognise me?

I'm a new Dark Guard.

I have no friends in Mount Chenji.

You look kind. So, I remember you.

I'm new here as well.

I'm not used to the way they treat people here.

That's great.

Next time, we can help to take care of one another.

Well, if you need my help, you can come to me.

I've heard that you're a kind person.

You often do good deeds around here in Mount Chenji.

You're known far and wide.

You're flattering me.

Right, Miss Zhi Yan.

A family at the foot of the mountain is living in a difficult situation.

They really need your help. Why don't I take you there?

-All right. -This way.

What's so good about that?

Miss Zhi Yan, this way.

Weren't you taught in the Immortal Sects?

One who suddenly fawns over you must be harbouring some evil intentions.

Don't talk to strangers.

Do you know him? Are you close to him?

No? And you dare to follow him?

Quickly get rid of him.

I...

Sorry, I suddenly recall that I have something to do.

I'll leave first.

You're bereft of good judgement.

Can you be on the lookout?

Do you think everyone who smiles to you are actually good to you?

How naive.

Why do you always think the worst of people?

He's wearing the Dark Guard's uniform.

But have you seen a Dark Guard who talks this much?

-But... -No buts.

Who is that?

Miss Zhi Yan.

Zhi Yan, wake up.

Miss Zhi Yan, are you all right?

What's the matter? You feel scared now?

Just say whatever you want to. This time, you're right.

Does what I say matter?

You won't listen even if I told you.

Even if I did, you wouldn't get it.

It's hard to tell how good a person is.

And it's hard to tell how bad a bad guy can be.

Yes. You're right.

I'm too naive.

What do you think that disciple is up to?

Right, it's pointless to ask you.

Judging from his looks, he doesn't seem like Wan Lu Sect's people.

Looks more like he disguises himself to mingle in.

Could he be the people from Immortal Sects?

Liu Wei killed your dad.

Now, he sent people to kill you, and eradicate you once and for all.

But that's not right.

If that was Liu Wei, why didn't he save Brother Cang Ling?

Why he wanted to kill me instead?

Still thinking about your Brother Cang Ling?

Quickly practise your skills.

If you have no capability, all your dreams are for naught.

That's right.

Why didn't he save Liu Cang Ling?

Master.

Someone wore Dark Guard's uniform and assaulted Miss Zhi Yan.

Anyone get hurt?

Thanks for Master's concern. I didn't get hurt.

Did Qin Zhi Yan get hurt?

Fortunately, I got there in time.

That evildoer didn't get to lay a finger on her.

But it was an urgent situation.

I didn't get to catch him.

Forgive me.

You said,

-he was wearing Dark Guard's uniform? -Yes.

But he doesn't look familiar.

He's not our Dark Guard.

I'm afraid he has someone on the inside.

Continue to pursue on this.

Yes.

Send this letter to Qian Chen Pavilion.

What's the matter?

I know I shouldn't say this.

But Miss Zhi Yan is very energetic.

She seldom sleeps, and stays awake day and night.

I really can't stand it anymore.

I hope that Master will assign more men for me.

All right.

-I'll assign them two days later. -Thanks, Master.

-You're dismissed. -Yes.

Awake day and night?

Seldom sleeps?

You want to work with Qian Chen Pavilion to deal with Jiang Wu?

No way.

Wan Lu Sect will never consort with the Immortal Sects.

Although you're someone with a high status,

it's not up to you to question Master's decision.

I'm talking to Master.

Since when you, a mere Dark Guard, gets to interrupt the conversation?

If we don't work with the Immortal Sects,

it's hard to get rid of Jiang Wu.

Don't the Dark Guards' lives matter?

Nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards.

To join hands with the Immortal Sects,

it's a self-destructive action!

Jiang Wu of Xin Shan will surely turn into a big trouble.

While he is still not powerful yet, it's better to get rid of him sooner.

I have decided on this.

There's no need to argue about it.

Today, someone disguised as the Dark Guard,

and assaulted Qin Zhi Yan.

Find him out.

I do not allow anyone to disguise as a Dark Guard.

Yes.

-Why work with Wan Lu Sect? -Senior.

There have been murmurs of discontent from the Immortal Sects.

Right now, if you join hands with Wan Lu Sect,

I don't know what will they say about it.

Jiang Wu has been doing evil deeds in Jiangzhou City for some time.

But none among the Immortal Sects cares about it.

That day, I met Li Chen Lan.

He's a clear-headed person.

Under his control, Wan Lu Sect is different from what it was before.

Back then...

the factions in Immortal Sects joined forces because they had the same goal.

But right now, the factions no longer share the same goal.

How do they work together?

Su Yan.

Don't be entangled in the situation,

and not see the wood for the trees.

-Yes, Chief. -Yes.

I understand.

This time, you'll meet the people from Wan Lu Sect on my behalf.

When you encounter Jiang Wu...

kill him with this sword.

This is...

A magical weapon that has been blessed.

It's the first time Chief bestows...

a magical weapon for the sake of eliminating evil.

I noticed that Chief looks troubled after coming out from seclusion.

-I wonder... -It's nothing.

Be careful tomorrow.

Rest earlier.

-Yes. -Yes.

Chief of North Hills.

I failed to capture Qin Zhi Yan.

I was injured by a Dark Guard instead. I'd better leave here soon.

Chief of North Hills, please get me out of Wan Lu Sect.

The people from the Immortal Sects are useless.

Why did you heave a sigh?

It's better for you to practise and meditate instead.

Go and meditate.

What lousy manual is this? It's so useless.

If only I could go to the Library Pavilion.

There are some top-notch manuals there.

Demoness.

I miss my dad.

Restrain yourself.

Why are you so cold hearted?

Don't you have times when you miss someone?

-Am I pretty? -As pretty as your mum.

Grandfather, you are the best.

No.

I'm used to being a cold person.

Demoness.

Don't tell me you're only back here to take revenge on Li Chen Lan.

So, what do you do after taking the revenge?

You people from the Immortal Sects.

You do nothing but to worry pointlessly.

The plan for revenge hasn't even begun and you started...

to think about the things that come after.

Of course there are things to be done after that.

You'd better be more realistic.

All right.

We can't keep staying in the Summit of Xiyue.

You'd better work hard to seduce Li Chen Lan and get him to teach you.

Or else, get an authorisation to Library Pavilion will do too.

An authorisation to Library Pavilion? What's that?

Wan Lu Sect's collection of books are in there.

It has all the top-notch manuals, anecdotes and strange tales record.

Go through it.

Perhaps, you can find a solution to our physical condition.

I'll go through it.

You get the authorisation from Li Chen Lan.

You've started to order me about?

I asked you to go.

I...

My legs turn to jelly when I see Li Chen Lan.

I can't go.

You're such a loser.

Forget it. I'll go then.

Also, you mentioned about seducing him.

How can the love between two people be taken for a show?

You have no respect for love at all.

What is love?

Love isn't something that I'm after.

I don't believe it either.

I, Lu Zhao Yao,

will depend on myself to realise each of my dream.

If I want love...

Let's not mention how exhausting it is.

You'll not have a good ending.

I have learned this lesson long ago.

All right.

I'm going to find Li Chen Lan.

Be good and stay put.

Don't give the game away.

Master, Yuan Jie would like to seek audience with you.

Master.

I found out that Yuan Jie took a Dark Guard's uniform last month.

I wonder if he colluded with the man who assaulted Miss Zhi Yan.

The Chief of North Hills has always hated the Immortal Sects.

Continue to investigate this matter.

Get the Chief of North Hills to wait at Wu Er Hall.

I'll personally persuade him.

If not, about us working with Qian Chen Pavilion,

he'll surely not leave it at that.

Yes.

I've found the guy from the Immortal Sects...

who assaulted Qin Zhi Yan.

Master, that's him.

Chief of North Hills, is there anything else?

-Who are you? -Who are you?

Master's disciple, Qin Zhi Yan.

Why are you still standing there? Get out of my way!

What's the matter?

-Chief. -Chief.

She claims to be Master's disciple.

It's you.

I know her.

Follow me.

Keep your chin up.

Master is having an important discussion.

Wait here.

Don't simply talk or move about.

You're dismissed.

Master, these are the newly elected candidates for the Dark Guards.

-Greetings, Master. -Greetings, Master.

I have only one request of the Dark Guards.

You must have undivided loyalty to your Master.

-Yes, Master! -Yes, Master!

You're dismissed.

Nothing has changed here.

It's still my style.

Back then, I sat here and had control of life and death.

I lived an extravagant life where the people feared me.

Recently, Master's way of doing things...

is in violation of the principles of Wan Lu Sect.

When the late Master was alive,

she would never work with the Immortal Sects.

It's the only way for Wan Lu Sect to strive for improvement.

That's how we come to the achievement to be at the top in pugilistic world.

So...

please think it through before you make a move.

In the past,

your action of removing the formation and the white jade altar...

at the entrance of the mountain was just a formality.

What's done is done.

Currently, Jiang Wu of Xin Shan, behaves wildly.

Indeed, we need to annihilate him.

But, Wan Lu Sect will never work with the Immortal Sects!

Xin Shan lies at the border of these two forces.

Jiang Wu made use of the sects' conflicting views to do as he pleases.

He has deeply rooted himself in Jiangzhou City.

I get one of the Immortal Sects to join hands with me because...

it's the most convenient and fastest way to get rid of this scourge.

This is so that we will not be attacked from all sides.

Master.

It has been decided.
