Episode 9

I...

I'm Master's disciple.

I want the power of that guy from the Immortal Sects for myself.

Remove the formation.

Young lady.

Why don't we divide it?

No way.

Release him.

Release him?

Even though you're Master's disciple, you can't do this too.

I mean I want you to remove the formation completely.

Miss Zhi Yan.

-This should do, right? -Yes.

Open the door.

I want his powers for myself.

Brother Cang Ling.

Zhi Yan.

I promised your parents that I'll take good care of you.

But you've to save me in return.

I'm so useless.

You recuperate here.

Right now, Wan Lu Sect could be safer than being out there.

Zhi Yan.

What do you mean by this?

Wan Lu Sect is a dangerous place.

Even if you are mad at me,

you shouldn't say such a thing.

Don't say anymore.

I'm well aware of what kind of place Wan Lu Sect is.

Before I could avenge my dad,

I'll never leave this place.

Zhi Yan.

Zhi Yan.

You recuperate here.

When you have recovered, you can leave this place.

-Zhi Yan. -I'll bring more pills for you.

-Zhi Yan. -You can reunite with Liu Wei sooner.

Zhi Yan!

Your dad's death has nothing to do with my dad.

There must be a misunderstanding.

Zhi Yan, trust me.

Zhi Yan!

Zhi Yan!

Master, Mount Feng is right in front.

It looks like we're early.

We seldom attend the activities held by the Immortal Sects.

This has made the other sects unhappy with it.

To prevent the idle gossip, it's best if we come early.

Su Yan.

Everyone has a pair of eyes.

And each person sees a different path.

We should walk down our own path...

and mind our own business. That will do.

Don't bother what people say.

Yes.

"Mount Feng"

Isn't this Chief Qin?

It's rare to meet Chief Qin outside of Qian Chen Pavilion.

Chief Qin isn't willing to utter a single word.

You're indeed proud and aloof.

Is it possible that you are here,

but you actually despise all of us?

Young Master Jin Xiu.

-Chief isn't like... -Young Master Jin Xiu, you're wrong.

Sect Leader Liu.

Lady Chang Yu.

Chief Qin is a compassionate person who practises Buddhism.

Those who cares for the world doesn't speak much.

Young Master Jin Xiu, don't misunderstand him.

Lady Chang Yu.

Everyone, please be seated.

I invited all of you here...

because my brother has something to clarify to all of you.

I believe all of you have heard the rumours.

My best friend, Qin Yu, was killed.

His daughter thinks it was my doing.

I find it extremely ridiculous.

But Zhi Yan is so certain about it.

To prevent any misunderstanding, I should clarify it in person.

On the day Brother Qin Yu went missing,

I was having a drink with Officer Chi.

Later on, I got drunk.

When I sobered up, it was already in the morning.

Officer Chi can bear witness to it.

That's right.

That day, Sect Leader Liu and I were drinking at Mount Feng.

We left at the break of dawn.

Sect Leader Liu, you don't have to explain.

We know you're not that kind of person.

Qin Yu and you have been good friends for many years.

All of us are aware of that.

Besides...

your son and Qin Yu's daughter, Zhi Yan,

have a marriage agreement.

I believe that you wouldn't commit such a cruel crime.

Chief Qin.

Lady Chang Yu.

I wonder if you have the time...

so that we can step aside to talk?

You personally came here.

Your presence in Mount Feng is an honour to us.

Lady Chang Yu, you've overstated the case.

We are from the Immortal Sects.

I'm just playing my part.

But, that's how it is in the pugilistic world.

One trouble follows another.

All of us in the Immortal Sects are closely related,

but we are constantly in turmoil.

Your brother's death...

has turned into an unresolved case in our sect.

But despite the twist of facts,

the truth will come to light someday.

I heard that...

Miss Zhi Yan is now in Wan Lu Sect.

Our sect's disciple joins the evil.

I wonder if there's an inside story to it.

I mean...

if Miss Qin was abducted,

do you need our help...

to attack Wan Lu Sect to save Miss Qin?

Although Zhi Yan comes from the Immortal Sects,

she has her own judgement.

She stays in Wan Lu Sect because that's her choice.

It's not appropriate for me to interfere by force.

I have something else that I would like to ask.

You have a good head on your shoulders.

I wonder if you have heard of Magic of Manipulation?

Magic of Manipulation?

I think it's a kind of magic that can manipulate people's minds.

Chief Qin.

I wonder why you suddenly asked about this?

I accidentally came across it when I was looking through the ancient text.

I'm just curious.

It's late now.

I shall take my leave.

All right.

Safe journey.

Lady Chang Yu.

Did Qin Qian Xian find out anything?

He didn't find out anything.

But about Qin Zhi Yan...

Time is of the essence.

Yes.

I didn't expect Lady Chang Yu to be so concerned about Miss Zhi Yan.

Lady Chang Yu isn't concerned...

about the disappearance of Liu Cang Ling,

the young master of Jian Xin Sect.

When I mentioned about the Magic of Manipulation,

it looks like she was trying to cover it up.

Speaking of this,

why did you suddenly mention about the Magic of Manipulation?

Previously, I saw a mark on Liu Wei.

It looks like someone has cast Magic of Manipulation on him.

But when I saw Liu Wei earlier...

he spoke in earnest.

It doesn't seem like he was faking it.

But as of now, we could only speculate about it.

It's hard for us to get a conclusive evidence.

There's no perfect plan.

As for now...

we can only roll with the punches.

Let's head to Wan Lu Sect at once,

and bring Zhi Yan back.

Yes.

I have won some money today.

Everything is on me.

-Your words. -Why don't we get us a few chicks?

-Let's go. -Let's go.

She's quite pretty.

Little girl, why are you here?

If there's anything, just tell me.

I'll help you out.

I...

I heard that you have Nine-cycled Pill.

I...

Can I make a bet with this jade?

I can tell this is a good stuff.

Where did you get it?

No way.

I can't be a coward.

Exchange the pill for the jade.

If not, I'm going to leave.

What's the rush?

You've come to the right person.

I have what you want.

Exchange the pill for the jade.

The pill.

That's not right.

This isn't the Nine-cycled Pill.

-You gave me a fake pill. -That's right.

Mine is called the Seven-cycled Pill. That's how it smells.

You can't blame anyone for hearing it wrongly.

You...

You're cheating.

The goods are delivered and the bill is cleared.

We are not cheating anyone.

If you don't wish to leave,

you can accompany us.

Close the door.

What's the matter? Who bullied you?

Demoness.

It's five!

Six!

Drink!

That girl is back.

Come on.

I heard that...

you tricked me into giving my things to you.

Have I ever said...

I hate those who refuse to concede defeat after losing a bet?

You have a death wish!

The effect of Kong Kong Pill is pretty good.

That's weird.

Chief.

Something is off with the Dark Guards whom we sent to pursue Jiang Wu.

There's no news from them at all.

What did you say?

Chief Qin, sorry for not going out to meet you.

I wonder what brings you here.

I heard that my niece is here.

I'm here to find her.

Miss Zhi Yan?

That's right.

She's indeed in Wan Lu Sect. She's at the Summit of Xiyue.

I'll lead the way.

Please.

Right.

I wonder if you have heard of someone...

by the name of Jiang Wu who is causing trouble in Jiangzhou City?

I think it's not only directed at Wan Lu Sect.

He completely disregarded Qian Chen Pavilion too.

After all, Jiangzhou City is Qian Chen Pavilion's border too.

This way, please.

My body is getting weaker.

Back then, another 100 men would be no match for me too.

Look at me now.

A slightly bigger movement would exhaust so much of my energy.

Demoness.

All right.

No need to thank me.

Do good deeds in my name if you want to express your gratitude.

No point saying it.

All right.

I'll be on it at once.

Chief Qin.

This is Miss Zhi Yan's room.

Thank you, Chief Lin.

Why is he here?

Chief Qin, have a good chat with Miss Zhi Yan.

I've work to do.

I'll take my leave.

Thank you, Chief Lin.

You're welcome.

Come in.

She isn't around when she should be.

She fought with the people from the underground casino?

Yes, and not only that.

Miss Zhi Yan was very furious.

She said she hates those who refuse to concede defeat after losing a bet.

Refuse to concede defeat after losing a bet?

Master, you asked about Chief Lin's whereabouts.

I just found out.

Chief Qin Qian Xian of Qian Chen Pavilion dropped by.

Chief Lin personally brought him to the Summit of Xiyue.

I got it.

Ah Da.

Continue to keep an eye on her.

-Report to me every day. -Yes, Master.

Had I known, I wouldn't have let Qin Zhi Yan leave.

Qin Qian Xian looks as solemn as Buddha.

It's like there's no way to hide any pretences before him.

Zhi Yan.

Are you doing well in Wan Lu Sect?

Wan Lu Sect? I'm doing pretty good.

No, actually, it isn't that good.

The people are quite fierce.

Is it?

That's right.

If this conversation goes on, I'm going to blow my cover.

Zhi Yan.

Return to Qian Chen Pavilion with me.

After all, you can't stay in Wan Lu Sect for a long time.

As for your dad, I wouldn't stand by and do nothing.

We're still investigating...

Uncle.

Uncle, my stomach hurts.

Wait for me. I'll be right back.

Why isn't Qin Zhi Yan back yet?

Qin Qian Xian is even harder to be dealt with as compared to Li Chen Lan.

Sect Leader Li.

Is there any urgent matter that brings you here late at night?

I came in a hurry. Sorry to disturb you.

I'm here for my niece.

I heard that she has disturbed you for a few days now in Wan Lu Sect.

It's about time to bring her back.

Although Qin Zhi Yan is your niece,

it's still inappropriate...

for you to show up here late at night.

You're a careful person.

I failed to take into account these details.

When Zhi Yan is back, I'll bring her back.

Thank you for your hospitality.

Not long ago, Zhi Yan joined Wan Lu Sect,

and took me as her master.

Since she is my disciple,

for her to come and go in Wan Lu Sect,

the decision comes down to me.

You're saying that...

I'm not able to take Zhi Yan with me today?

Yes.

Demoness.

Qin Qian Xian is here. Quickly send him away.

His eyes seem to be able to see through all my schemes.

-I get really jittery. -Hold on.

-My uncle is here? -Quickly send him away.

-My uncle isn't that scary. -Quickly go.

Uncle...

Sect...

Sect Leader Li.

Your uncle said that he wants to take you away from here.

I'm not leaving.

Zhi Yan.

I'm not leaving.

I want to practise my skills here.

Since none of you believes in me, I'll take revenge on my own.

-Forget it since you don't trust me. -It's not that I don't trust you.

Why aren't you willing to avenge my dad?

-This matter needs to... -Not helping me avenge him proves it.

I'll stay in Wan Lu Sect.

I think this place is great.

All right.

Since you're not willing to leave, I won't force you then.

Sect Leader Li.

Please look after my niece.

Don't worry.

Sect...

Sect Leader Li.

Are you... Are you not going to leave yet?

I... No.

I don't mean to chase you away.

You... Stay here.

You went to the casino today?

Yes.

The casino isn't the place that you should go to.

Yes.

I dare not go there anymore.

I dare not go there anymore even if you give me the guts to go.

Why is he here too?

Hey, get up.

My waist.

Why was Li Chen Lan here?

I don't know.

When I came in, I saw him here with my uncle.

It's so scary.

Li Chen Lan is so scary.

Clearly, your uncle is scarier.

It's obvious that Li Chen Lan is scarier.

Whatever.

In short, they didn't see through you, right?

I guess not.

All right.

We managed to get through this.

Here are the pills to enhance the powers. Take it.

I'll give you more when I get more powerful pills.

Bai Shui Jian Xin Sword?

This is bad.

Just now, I got nervous,

and forgot to ask my uncle to save Brother Cang Ling.

I guess your uncle thinks...

it's safer for Liu Cang Ling to stay in Wan Lu Sect's dungeon.

Why?

He's the Chief of the Immortal Sects.

He actually agreed to let you stay here.

This means that the Immortal Sects are more dangerous than Wan Lu Sect.

Liu Cang Ling is the young master of Jian Xin Sect.

If he takes him away,

there's no reason to keep him in Qian Chen Pavilion too.

Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't.

At that time, Liu Cang Ling might die even sooner.

That's right.

Demoness.

Thank you.

What's the point of thanking me?

Don't do these meaningless things.

Tomorrow, continue to do good deeds in my name.

Come on.

Only one person can walk out of here alive.

You want us to kill among ourselves?

Dream on.

Don't think about it.

Don't think about it?

Even if I die,

I wouldn't kneel before you.

Is it?

Didn't you say that you wouldn't kneel?

If you still don't make a move...

I'll blow up your heads.

Life and death are one. In life, there's death.

Death is only the beginning of life.

Life is short.

Let me roam freely.

All of them have committed suicide.

I really didn't expect...

that all of them are so loyal to Li Chen Lan.

The Dark Guards of Wan Lu Sect...

live up to their reputation.

You're here late at night again.

Yue Zhu, you're dismissed.

What's the matter?

I heard Qin Zhi Yan said...

she hates those who refuse to concede defeat after losing a bet.

So?

Don't you think...

this phrase of hers...

is very similar to a person?

Just based on this phrase?

Besides this...

Qin Qian Xian came to Mount Chenji.

Reading between the lines, he's trying to imply something.

He seems to think...

that there's a change in Qin Zhi Yan's temperament too.

You're thinking about her day and night.

Once you miss her too much, you will feel that...

everything around you make whole of your thoughts.

If she's just by your side,

why make groundless speculation?

Ask her in person and feel it yourself.

Isn't it better?

The eyes can lie.

But not the heart.

Your uncle suddenly came here. Is it because you've raised his suspicions?

My uncle is the Chief of Qian Chen Pavilion.

Ordinary people's mind and capabilities are no match for him.

Perhaps...

Open the door.

Why don't you go?

Sect...

Li...

Li Chen Lan is here.

You go.

Why is he here again?

It's late. I wonder why Master is looking for me?

Everyone knows you're my disciple.

But I have never taught you anything.

As your master,

I have the responsibility to teach you a few moves.

Why would he suddenly want to teach me martial arts?

Could he be trying to test me out?

Come on.

Let me see your foundation skills.

Fortunately, I know some of the Immortal Sects' moves.

Not an issue for me.

Lousy skills.

Have you killed before?

Master.

I've never even killed a bug.

Now, you've killed one.

Master, you're amazing.

Master, is there anything?

Her martial arts...

are indeed of the Immortal Sects'.

From tomorrow onwards, no need to follow her anymore.

Yes.

But when Miss Zhi Yan fought with others at the Summit of Xiyue,

there seems to be some improvement in her martial arts.

Master.

Few days ago, Qin Zhi Yan sneaked into the dungeon to visit Liu Cang Ling.

I suspect that she's the spy from the Immortal Sects.

She has an ulterior motive being in Mount Chenji.

Ah Da, why aren't you aware of this?

I have reported it to Master.

Master.

Qin Zhi Yan is a troublemaker.

-Aren't you going to expel her? -Ah Da.

Continue to follow Qin Zhi Yan.

Yes.

All of you are dismissed.

Lin Zi Yu.

You led the way for Qin Qian Xian to meet Qin Zhi Yan.

Why didn't you inform me beforehand?

I was wrong.

-No more next time. -Yes.

You're dismissed.
