Lady-in waiting Li, it's also on account of His Majesty that

that we allow you to come here. Don't give us a hard time.

Why are you so anxious? I merely want to take a look at Handan city.

Can I not?

You said that you would pick me up.

I'm sorry.

Why?

How could I have forgotten?

You are Lu Buwei.

The most beloved in life is power. You want to climb up regardless of anything.

A mere woman, compared to your so-called ambition,

can be fully understood at a glance, the weight in making the right choice.,

But I'm the one to be laughed at.

I clearly suffered losses and was lied to.

I was even tricked.

This is probably where men and women are different.

No matter how tenacious a woman is,

she will still want to find a soul to rely on.

I thought that I have found one.

You protected me,

understood me, and loved me.

It wasn't until now that I've come to realize all of it was not true!

If you think this way,

I have nothing to say.

Lu Buwei, you knew that I hate being abandoned by anyone!

Are you really going to break your promise today and let go of my hand?!

You should get in the carriage.

- Why did you come then? - Lady-in-waiting Li, what are you doing?

Treasurer Lu, in order to seek power through connections,

Willing to hold out everything in exchange. How bold and unrestrained powerful.

How could someone like you not succeed?

I hereby wish you a rise in rank.

Royal Descendant, your painting of this beauty

Why is there no face?

You are too careful.

You hid your beloved one very well.

I wouldn't tell this secret to the Princess.

Royal Descendant! Come and take a look at Older Sister Haolan!

- What's wrong with Haolan? - Why are you so flustered?!

Royal Descendant has been drawing this for three days. It's ruined now!

What exactly is wrong with Haolan?

I also don't know.

After Older Sister Haolan returned, she refused to eat. She also broke the zither.

No matter how much I asked her, she refused to tell me why.

Royal Descendant, my Master didn't enter the palace. You are the only one who can check on her.

Okay, take me to see her.

Hey, wait!

Why so flustered? Royal Descendant.

You can't just casually leave Peace Keeping Palace.

I have been ordered to guard Royal Descendant. He can't just leave like this.

It's protect and not guard.

What business is that of yours that Royal Descendant is in the palace?

If you are still worried, just follow us.

- Move aside. - Darn wench.

Haolan.

Haolan.

It's just a non-living thing.

Why are you angry with it?

Don't repair it.

Royal Descendant of Qin.

If you want to repair it, then take your time.

I have never seen you cry.

I'm not crying.

Before I came, I thought you were heartbroken.

Looking at it now, it's anger instead.

I'm not angry.

Yes.

I'm angry.

I'm hate him till I want to cut him into ten or eight parts.

I hate him till I want to throw him into the river to feed the fishes.

Even if he's a hero and someone with exceptional abilities,

he shouldn't step on my feelings.

If there's anything to say, he should have clearly said it to me.

But why did he find the excuse to publicly humiliate me?!

You distinctly know that Lu Buwei is not this kind of person.

But this is what he did.

It has to be a misunderstanding.

Royal Descendant of Qin!

When I see him next time, I will hit him for you.

If this still doesn't appease your anger, I will put him in a sack and whack him. Okay?

Get up. I will eat with you.

As for Lu Buwei, let's talk about this again in the future.

There won't be another time!

What Lu Buwei? Let him meet the ghost!

What is the ambassador from Han state doing here?

My Emperor sent me here

to deliver ten carts of gold, 100 pairs of tamed colts and one hundred deer.

Does the ruler of Han state thinks that Zhao state is a beggar

and using these to dismiss me?

Zhao state is wealthy. These crude gifts are just common items.

Our Emperor also prepared a treasure for dedication to the Emperor of Zhao.

What treasure?

[ Qiong Hua, Princess of Han state ]

The top beauty in Han state, Princess Qiong Hua.

This is the peerless treasure that the Emperor of Han is dedicating to the Emperor of Zhao.

Older Sister Haolan have some food.

I don't have any appetite. Carry it out.

Older Sister Haolan, you take care of Her Highness during the day. You can't just eat so little every day.

If this continues on, your body won't be able to take it.

I'm fine. You don't need to be worried.

I need to finish this soon and hand it over to Her Highness.

If you don't eat, at least have a drink of water.

Silly girl, the cup is empty.

What is that?

This is lotus flowers harvested in summer

and soaked in water after being dried. It's good for clearing the heart and improving eyesight.

Older Sister Haolan, Royal Descendant wants me to relay a message to you too.

What words?

He says pent up depressed feeling will get deeper and deeper, unable to be pulled out by oneself.

As long as you clear your heart and mind, you will dispel the clouds and see the sun.

A Yue saw that this item is very exquisite so especially went to take a look.

This was personally separated petal by petal by Royal Descendant.

He experimented with this many times.

Sister Haolan, seeing that Royal Descendant worked so hard on this, can you be more happy?

Who said that I'm not happy?

Seeing how unhappy you were the whole day,

I dared not tell you about certain matters in the palace.

I'm busy and doesn't have the time to talk.

Listen to your tone. What happened in the palace?

You still don't know?

There a Princess Qinhua from Han State who is deeply treasured by your Highness.

He stayed with her for three days and three nights.

Everyone in the palace is saying that His Majesty would even pluck the stars in the sky for her.

Since she came to the palace, the King even neglected about titling you.

Princess Qinhua been beautiful is world renowned.

It's not strange for His Majesty to dote on her.

But she's fallen ill.

Said that is illness from accumulated sadness from missing her native country.

The King was very anxious.

He is now ordering everyone in the palace

and all the physicians to treat her and let her recover soon.,

If not, their heads will roll.

It's that serious?

All the physicians in the palace are in danger now.

Homesickness.

Magical Dew Palace.

What illness is that?

Your Highness, Consort is tired from the long distance journey and not acclimatized to the land.

If still in Han State, should heal naturally.

Now there's additional depression and anxiety due to thinking too much.

Unaccustomed to the environment and food is not a big illness.

It's not too bad, just need expensive herbal medicines to carefully regulate her body.

Doesn't matter how expensive, use it freely.

As long as my beloved consort's recovers.

Please be rest assured Your Majesty.

Consort, this physician has high skills.

You recovered quickly after one dose of the medicine.

She's not capable at all. She still thinks she is physician?

This is her capability. If the treatment doesn't work, His Majesty will behead her.

How come you are the only maid left from Han State that accompanied me?

Suxin is sick. She is lying in bed.

Physician Yin is just treating her.

She really is everywhere.

Let's go and take a look.

Consort.

Am I a monster? Why are you so scared?

Princess, no.. consort. I behaved badly, please forgive me.

Dares to steal my medicine. You are too audacious.

This medicine is...

This maid is from Han State, she has the same symptoms as you.

You drank the first brew. It is a waste to throw out the herbs after that.

So I brew it the second time for her to take. Is there a problem?

How dare you talk to the Consort in this manner!

I am only speaking the facts here. How is consuming used medicine called stealing?

Others are not qualified to use my objects.

Are you stupid? Aren't you going to drag her out?

Consort, spare my life!

Consort, spare my life!

Consort of Han, she's just a sick patient. Who gives you the right to be so overbearing?

Overbearing?

If I'm overbearing, how can you do to me?

Since you are like this, I won't treat you again in the future.

Wait.

You are right in scolding me. I'm definitely overbearing.

Today, I will show you how overbearing I can be.

Physician Yin dares to damage gift from the King. Take her down.

Yes.

If you obediently treat patients then go stay in the punishment hall.

[ Rising Sun Palace ]

Your highness, physician Yin offended Han consort and got locked in Punishment Hall.

Haolan, what do you think of the Consort of Han?

Han consort is world renowned for her beauty.

I was asking about her personality.

Haolan didn't see it in person. Dares not to make biased judgement.

Only recently entered the palace and daring to make such bold moves. How high handed.

I'm very curious.

Older Sister Haolan, I have already checked.

How was it?

Physician Yin really did got locked by her into the Punishment Hall.

- What did His Majesty say? - What else can he say?

Han Consort is so powerful right now. Your highness only laughed after hearing the news. He didn't cared.

Older Sister Haolan, I also heard...

What did you hear?

Han consort also commanded someone to watch her daily.

Life has been tough for Physician Yin.

Consort of Han also said that if Physician Yin doesn't kneel and bow down to her, she can forget about being released.

Xiaochun is a proud person. I fear she won't give in.

I'm going to persuade him.

No one is allowed inside regarding who they are.

Yes.

- Who are you? - I'm a Lady-in-waiting for Her Highness. She ordered me to come here.

Her Highness ordered you to come here. What's the matter?

The Queen said physician Yin failed to recognized a favor.

and offended the Consort of Han. She wants me to persuade her to admit her mistake.

What do you have in your hand?

This is...

Gross, what is it? So stinky.

I know about the instruction of the Consort of Han.

Only allows the offender to eat spoiled leftovers. I dare not disobey.

Go, go on inside.

Bring more water here.

- Xiaochun. - Haolan, why are you here?

Come here quickly.

Give this a try.

Quick, give it a try.

Don't rush. Take your time to eat.

They kept giving me spoiled leftovers.

I couldn't eat it at all.

I am weak and dizzy from the hunger.

What is this?

Dried vegetables with dark soy sauce looks black.

Also dark grayish dried tofu.

Pan fried. Smells bad and delicious when you eat it.

This a secret folk recipes. They are from Han State and don't know it.

Haolan, you are really very cunning.

This is from my experience. I'm already used to it.

You still dare to talk? Why didn't you admit your mistake immediately?

That woman is so arrogant and conceited. I will not bow down to her.

You...look mature and steady on the surface.

How are you so stubborn?

If you hold in and back down one step, the sky and ocean shall open up for you.

Tolerate?

This knife is stuck into my heart, I will vomit blood even if before its pulled out.

You too. You already escaped. Why did you come back?

I...

What happened?

Don't ask.

Hurry up and eat.

If anyone finds out, I won't be able to visit you anymore.

This is all caused by that bewitching consort.

Still talking, you really want to get beheaded.

If she wants to kill me, she will have regrets.

Consort, it's just as your though. She tricked us.

Even a Lady in waiting had this level of pluck. That's extraordinary.

Which palace are you from? Dares to defy my commands.

Han consort, I am the Queen's lady in waiting.

- Her Highness's huh? - Nonsense!

What kind of position does the Queen has, why would she ask you to come visit an offender?

Unless you are misusing the Queen's name.

If you were in the right, why did you need to sneak around?

I didn't sneak around.

I came here openly.

Looks like, if I didn't came here impromptu.

You can't even properly watch a person.

Who let you in? You clearly snuck in here!

Consort, I saw them whispering before. Looks like secretly plotting.

If you didn't hear anything, don't try lying and exaggerating without any evidence.

This tone is so vicious and cruel.

Looks like you didn't learn anything from these two days of imprisonment.

Han consort, after all physician Yin did healed your illness.

Please forgive her.

If you want me to forgive her,

I can do that, but you can substitute for her punishment then.

Han Qinhua, who do you think you are?

This is Zhao State, will not allow you to be so wanton.

Then today I'll clearly let you see

Whether I can be wanton or not.

Han consort, I really didn't have intent to affront.

Why must be this agressive?

She is still quibbling. Hit.

Han Qinhua, you are being excessive!

You need to direct it at me. Why are you putting it out on innocent people?

She secretly entered Punishment Hall, that charge is large enough.

She is Li Haolan, the King will be titling her to consort position soon.

Consort, you think...

First was the Queen's Lady in waiting. Now is the King's favored person.

This background is quite impressive.

Continue to whip her. Don't stop until she's dead.

Haolan!

Why are you two stopping me?

Lady in waiting Li is getting punished by Han Consort, you can't enter right now.

Let go!

What should I do? Where's Master?

Master!

Please go help Older Sister Haolan.

What's happened?

She is at Punishment Hall, Han consort is having her whipped.

No.

- I can't go. - Master.

Go get Royal Descendant. Hurry.

Master! Mas...

Han Qinhua, you can't hit anymore.

It's all my fault and wrongdoing. You have to stop whipping her.

Liuzhu, did you hear anything?

Consort, the offender admit to her fault.

When I wanted to listen to it earlier, she refused to say so.

Now that she wants to say it, I don't want to listen anymore.

Han Qinhua, you are a monstrous wench.

How dare you!

Look like it is more meaning to hit her rather than you.

Stop!

Haolan!

Haolan.

Han consort, Haolan is the Queen's Lady in waiitng.

You acting so aggressively, do you know worry about the Queen.

Intruding on Punishment Hall, consort was only helping the Queen to teach her a lesson.

Even so, you have hit so many times. Wasn't it enough?

Isn't it enough?

Enough or not, it's up to me.

Please look upon this for my sake.

Who are you?

I am Qin State royal grandson.

My mother is like you, also came from Han State.

Qin State.

I remember now. Mrs. Xia is from same clan as my mother.

She can be consider as my Aunt.

In that case, I am being disrespectful. Didn't pay my respects to elder cousin.

Yiren dares not.

Hope consort will forgive them for my sake.

It's not easy to meet own kin in a foreign land.

I will temporary let them go for your sake.

Thanks to consort.

Consort,

I've already let go of one.

The other one I can't do ask you asked.

Even if you let me go, I won't escape!

I'll stay right here

and wait until the day you come to beg me.

Okay, I'll also wait for that day.

Sister Haolan, bear with it.

Sister Haolan, Han consort is such a bully.

How could she just randomly whip someone?

This is the palace. The consort is the master, I am but a maid, why would she not dare?

But no one else...

I worked for the Queen, hitting me is like hitting the Queen's face.

A Yue, don't you understand.

Han consort doesn't isn't afraid of anyone.

Sitou Yue, it's your turn for guard duty. Hurry up.

Yes, I'm coming.

Sister Hao, I need to go. Should I ask someone else to help you?

No.

I don't want to see anyone. You should go.

Haolan.

Qin Royal Descendant.

Qin Royal Descendant, why are you here?

I came to see your injury.

I am very grateful for your saving me today.

I don't dare to trouble you to visit me.

Why do you allow them to hit you?

I made a mistake, naturally needs to admit to the charges.

You are lying.

You are actually very smart.

Sometimes get foolish.

When it comes to romantic affections, you become obstinate.

You didn't avoid it, because you want to force the other person to come out.

-Is that right? - Qin Royal Descendant.

Rather suffer then physical wound in order to test

his feelings for you.

Haolan, you are stubborn than anyone else. Lay down.

-Royal Descendant. - Lay down.

I can do it myself.

You don't afraid of death, would you care about gender impropriety?

Are you really at ease in the heart now or not at ease ?

Let go of your hand.

Royal Descendant.

Now you know the pain after the injury.

But he doesn't know about your pain. So it is in vain.

Royal Descendant.

Your body is from your parents.

Even if you don't care for it, there are others who do care.

I though I can force him out when I got punished.

But I didn't expect that the person here is actually you.

When I got hurt when i was young, my mom used to do this. Is it better now?

Its good now you now about being embarrassed.

Next time if this happens again, I probably won't be able to save you.

Rest up. I'm leaving.

Why are you here Your Highness?

I came to seek justice from the King.

What's wrong now?

The Han princess just arrived to our palace. First she imprisoned the physician.

She's whipped Haolan this time.

May I ask for what reason?

Haolan's been whipped?

I'll go to discuss this.

She's already been whipped.

I'm afraid it won't make a difference even if you go.

Or else ask your beloved consort,

why do such vicious act?

This...

- Ready the sedan. Let's go to Magical Dew Palace. ,br> - Yes.

Magical Dew Palace.

Beloved consort.

Beloved consort. What is this?

What...what is this?

Didn't your Highness see it? I am playing pitch-pot game.

These are all rare treasures I gifted you.

You are ruining in such fashion.

Your Majesty does your heart hurt?

Don't! Stand there and don't move!

Oh no, it's bleeding.

You, oh you.

Let me see.

- Quick, go bring some medicine. - Yes, Your Majesty.

What were you thinking?

It's just some bleeding. What is the big commotion?

In the future, no matter what frustrations you have, vent it all out on me.

As you abuse yourself, I am the one feeling the pain at the end.

Everyone outside says I am bewitching consort.

Nonsense.

Your Majesty you're not afraid?

What is there to be afraid of?

Your Majesty you're not afraid at all that

I messed up your kingdom.

and your heart.

Beloved consort is my heart.

is my country.

What you said does sound nice to the ears.

You did came here to make a charge.

What charges?

I was only curious

Why did you whipped Haolan for no reason?

You just said you cared most about me.

Now you are questioning me over a Lady in waiting.

You are...really too affectonate.

If your highness want to criticize me, then might as well send me back to Han State.

That Haolan had saved me before.

I just want to ask some questions.

Your highness really made good plans.

First imprisoned me inside this golden cage. Now you also want to add another one in.

You don't think this cage is too crowded.

Of course I think it it too crowded.

Everyone in palace knows that Hoalan will become consort soon.

Nonsense! That's all nonsense.

All my thoughts are on the beloved consort.

I don't have the mind for getting another consort.

If Haolan cannot get titled to be consort, people are going to say it is my fault.

Then I become the devil one.

No, I am the one who decided. I wouldn't title her.

Depending will not blame that on beloved consort.

Today it's all my fault.

Alright.

From now on, you can do whatever you wish.

Just listen.

Beloved consort.

This...men.

What exactly is the matter?

Your highness, consort's pulse is erratic with rapid breathing.

Did these symptoms occur previously?

Consort is very healthy. She doesn't have any previous illness.

Can you heal her or not?

Say it.

Subject never seen this kind of symptoms before. I do not know how to start the treatment.

Useless thing.

Your highness, the highest skilled physician in the palace is only one person.

Yin Xiaochun, her skills are the best, she can cure all.

Then bring her here immediately.

Your highness, you forgot consort imprisoned physician Yin in the punishment hall.

I will forgive her charges. Go get her right away.

Yes.

Physician Yin, our consort is sick. Please go check on her.

Your consort is too precious,

my medical skills are limited. I can not reach such high level.

You...

It was our fault before.

Physician Yin, you are big hearted person. Please forgive us this time.

I already said before, if you want me to walk out this door.

She must invite me in person.

But our consort is sick, she can't get off the bed.

Then I can't help you.

You... don't recognize a favor.

What, she wants Qinhua go in person?

That's what she said.

Send someone to bound her.

Your Majesty you can't do that.

Why can't I?

Forgive my daring words, you can bound her Yin Xiaochun but you can't bound physician Yin.

She doesn't have the heart to treat consort, then you might actually harm her.

But I've heard that,

Lady in waiting Li is close to Yin Xiaochun.

Maybe...

Then ask her to invite physician Yin.

If she refused, punish her.

I shall go right away.

Don't need to persuade me. I am not going.

What if I came to ask you?

Haolan?

Are you all right. You just got hit.

What did you come here?

Come.

Are you here to help out that wrench?

I am not her to persuade you, I am here to accompany you.

Why do I need your company for? Go back and get rest.

Xiaochun, did you though of what consequence you will get if you refuse to go?

Worse is the King will behead me.

In that case,

his beloved consort will join me on the trip.

You, didn't figure out her scheme?

What do you mean?

You were so confident that Qinhua will come to beg you.

She already guessed that you didn't fully treated her illness.

Or else why would I be here?

She used you to threaten me?

Its her warning to you, if anything happens to her.

We both go join the netherworld.

This monstrous consort, went overboard.

Let's go.

Go where?

To go look at a patient.

You're awake.

Really needs physician Yin.

Physician Yin, what illness does beloved consort have?

It's not the acclimation problem again. why would she vomit blood from acclimation issue?

Han consort travelled far. She was sick at one point.

At that time I gave a prescription.

- For her to recuperate slowly. - Consort's been using that prescription.

Even didn't stop until now.

Could it be...a problem with the prescription?

This prescription is aim at the symptoms.

Then why is the consort still not awakened?

When I got imprisoned, how did you prepare the medicine?

I checked with other physicians, combined the first and second brew. Take one dose each morning and evening.

Sometimes to concentrate the effect, will take doses at once.

That make sense then. The wrong usage for correct medicine will also cause damage.

The prescription I gave uses Chinese medicinal raw yam that's mixed with Chinese figwort herbs.

It can nourish the body's yin, alleviate the fever and dissipate the emotional frustrations.

Normally will combined first and second brew to strengthened the effectiveness.

But consort had delicate body.

Combining both is too strong. If I had came later, forget about vomiting blood.

She might even lose her life.

Why didn't you say so earlier?

That maid was very skinny and under nourished.

Therefore I let her drink the second and third brew that consort can't use.

That was just right to clean and purge the yin of the spleen, tame excessive gas and support the stomach.

That was originally two good deeds by one act. But you think yourself clever.

Who can you blame for that?

Physician Yin is really high skilled. I am in such admiration.

Consort, don't be so courteous.

But please don't be overly clever in the future.

I shall firmly remember that.
