Oh, I'm practicing my trumpet playing so I can announce Prince Pete.

He's a prince, you know.

His Royal Highness has something very important to tell us.

There's Prince Pete.

Announce to all my subjects that my royal self is here.

Gee, Prince Pete seems kind of grumpy.

Maybe he's sleepy.

Prince Pete's got some big news to tell us.

I, Prince Pete of the Peas,

have a royal problem.

I'm tired, but I cannot fall asleep.

Not even a nice warm bowl of pea soup has helped me sleep,

and I love my soup.

And without a royal catnap, I'm gonna be grumpy all day.

[PLUTO WHIMPERS]

Poor Prince Pete.

It's not any fun when he's grumpy and tired.

Well, maybe we can help Prince Pete take a nap so he feels better.

Behold, my Golden Lounge Chair.

Gosh.

It's my favorite napping place of all.

Only, I can't seem to fall asleep in it anymore.

I've heard that counting sheep can help you fall asleep.

So maybe Prince Pete can count sheep.

Now let's help Prince Pete count each sheep

as it jumps over his chair.

So let's try helping Pete by counting the sheep again.

MICKEY: Nope! Not yet.

[CHUCKLES] Counting sheep was too much fun for me to fall asleep.

Gosh! What else can we do to help Prince Pete fall asleep?

Maybe Prince Pete just needs some peace and quiet.

Will you help us keep things really quiet?

to lead Buzz-Buzz away from Prince Pete

and to the garden where there are lots of flowers.

[BUZZING]

Buzz-Buzz likes them.

Come on, little fellow.

I hope Prince Pete can sleep now that Buzz-Buzz is gone.

[CLEARS THROAT]

[WHISPERS] I don't think I could go to beddy-bye without my Petey Doll.

Gosh, where is your Petey Doll?

[IN NORMAL VOICE] Don't know, but my Petey Doll looks just like me.

[CHUCKLES] Only smaller.

[GASPS] Do you see it anywheres?

[PLUTO SNIFFING]

I miss him so much!

Gosh, Prince Pete sure has a lot of stuff.

MICKEY: Do you see his Petey Doll anywhere?

Now let's bring it back to Prince Pete.

[DOLL SQUEAKS]

Oh, thanks for finding it for me.

Oh, well, who's this cute little boy?

Oh, I think he's little Mr. Petey, yes, I do.

I hope Prince Pete can take his nap now,

so he'll be happy when he wakes up.

Maybe a lullaby would help him dozy doze, uh, sneezy snooze,

I mean, sleep.

It always helped me sleep when my mama sang to me.

We could hold it up over Pete like a tent top

so he can sleep in the shade.

MICKEY: Good thinking.

[SNORING]

Look, I think Prince Pete is falling asleep.

We'd better leave him alone to sleep.

Okay, everybody,

quietly stand up and tiptoe away with us.

But if you hear Prince Pete waking up, you need to freeze.

Ready?

All right. Listen carefully, and let's go.

Tiptoe, tiptoe, tiptoe.

-[SNORTS] -Freeze!

[YAWNS, GRUMBLES]

Okay. Ready?

-Tiptoe, tiptoe, tiptoe. -[PETE GRUMBLES]

Oh, dear. We were all so quiet.

Prince Pete, why did you wake up?

I just can't get comfy-womfy.

My Golden Lounge Chair's all lumpy.

[GRUNTS]

Maybe there's a Mouseketool that can help make Prince Pete's chair more comfy.

MICKEY: Do you think the pillows can help make Prince Pete's chair

Look, there are already ten pillows on Prince Pete's chair.

Whoa! That's some high pile of pillows.

Now I just need to get on top to test it out.

These extra pillows will sure help Prince Pete take a nap now.

I can't sleep a wink.

Even with 15 pillows, my favorite chair's not comfy.

I guess I'll always be a tired and grumpy prince.

Poor Prince Pete.

But what else can we do?

We've tried everything to help him sleep.

[SNIFFING]

I think Pluto found something under the chair cushion.

Hold on. Wait.

Prithee, stop, I sayeth.

[GROANS]

MINNIE: Oh, my. DAISY: Oh!

Gosh. Look what just rolled out of Prince Pete's chair.

-Peas! -Wowee.

Prince Pete's chair is full of peas. [CHUCKLES]

Do you think that's why his chair was so lumpy and uncomfortable?

[GIGGLES] I think so too.

Prince Pete couldn't sleep with all those peas under him.

Uh, Prince Pete,

what are so many peas doing inside your chair pillow?

Well, you see, I am Prince Pete of the Peas,

and these peas are my treasure.

I put them in my chair for safe keeping, see?

I just didn't think that they'd be so uncomfy. [CHUCKLES]

But, uh...

now where am I gonna keep them all?

Here's an idea, Your Majesty.

Maybe there's a Mouseketool that could be a better place

to save all your peas.

A piggy bank usually holds coins,

but maybe it could hold peas for a change. [CHUCKLES]

Oh! My very own piggy bank.

Come on! Help us scoop up Prince Pete's peas

and pour them into his piggy bank.

ALL: Scoop, scoop, scoop.

The piggy's full of peas! [CHUCKLES]

Well, and I bet you my chair is...

[YAWNS] comfy now.

Oh, let me try it out.

[GRUNTS]

Now we can all quietly tiptoe back to the clubhouse

and do the Hot Dog Dance.
