Episode 20

Elope?

What do you mean?

Rumor has it that General Ye disappeared with Her Majesty.

His Majesty was so furious that

he had all the Imperial Guards search for them.

Well...

How could they be together?

Right!

Now ministers are talking.

Rumor has it that General Ye and Her Majesty

are close to each other in private.

I also heard that

letters between them have been found in Yue Hua Palace.

It seems they've loved each other for quite some time.

Love each other?

How dare she!

She shows no respect to the imperial family.

When they are caught,

I wonder how they will defend themselves.

Really?

Now we have to stop all our plans.

The Crowning Ceremony for the empress is called off suddenly.

We can't find another opportunity to break into the imperial palace.

Your Highness, take it easy.

I find it

to our benefit instead.

What do you mean?

Your Highness, think about it.

Ye Qingti and the new empress have an affair.

Whether he's caught or not,

will His Majesty still trust him?

Your Highness once told me that

the Imperial Guards under the command of Ye Qingti are unbreakable.

What about now?

He's gone.

Your Highness,

aren't we blessed by the God?

Your Highness, we're waiting for you.

Everything is ready.

Shall we take a break?

How long will it take for us to leave the State of Chengyu?

Two days and two nights.

It still has to take so long!

Now we're heading north.

We have to pass Hui'an and Luwei to reach the border.

Only after leaving the State of Chengyu

can we be completely safe.

Do you regret it?

No.

I just feel sorry

to drag you into this.

No need to be so polite to me.

Well,

hurry up and go.

Now all the forcing troops in the imperial palace

are probably sent out to search for us.

The longer we stay, the more dangerous it will be.

OK.

Damn it!

They're here.

General! Your Majesty!

Come back with us.

Xiaojiu, leave now.

I'll handle them.

General,

His Majesty's order can't be defied.

Don't make me!

Stop!

Why don't you leave?

I can't watch you die!

You should run away.

If I run away,

I won't be able to forgive myself the rest of my life.

I'll go with you.

Fine!

If I can't give you a new life,

I might as well die with you.

Sorrowless cake?

Is it made by Your Majesty yourself?

Certainly, it's made by myself,

but it's not sorrowless cake.

Have a taste first.

It's delicious.

I specially choose lily to make it.

According to the secret recipe,

it's elaborately made through three procedures.

I'll call it

lily cake.

Lily cake?

It's a good name.

The name of sorrowless flower

means one can be carefree,

while lily

represents ones who worship each other can have a harmonious union for a hundred years.

It's a common wish between the two.

Isn't the implied meaning of lily

much better than that of sorrowless flower?

In the future, you don't need to be afraid.

In the palace,

my love for you is the most powerful weapon for you.

You can use it at your free will.

You can do whatever you want to do.

I believe that

one day

you will entrust me.

You're the first one who treats me this way.

Your wound?

I happened to get

an effective ointment for curing scars.

This is cotton rose ointment

I specially made for you, Your Majesty.

Please go inside.
