Lost Promise

Episode 12

I think I smell a hint of

gossip.

I give you three seconds to

get out of here.

That's not so hard for you to do,

right, Chuan Huadie?

Master.

How do you know I'm Chuan Huadie?

There is nothing in this world that I don't know.

There's nothing you don't know?

Are you,

are you Xin Yuege

who is known as the know-it-all?

I told you.

Three seconds.

Oh my God, I'm your idol.

No, you're my idol.

Idol.

Sign me your autograph, and I'll disappear right now.

I'm always the one who

offers the condition.

No one has ever dared to ask me for anything.

Idol, you're so handsome.

Three seconds.

Three.

I'm disappearing now.-Two.

-Right now.

What is

this herb?

What the hell?

All right, all right, stop studying it.

Go play chess with me.

Why do you always act like this?

Every time I get scolded by the master

because of playing with you.

I won't go.

I'll telling you.

These all kinds of weeds are all mine.

If you want it, I can find someone to pick a bunch for you.

I won't.

I won't go anyway this time.

I'm here to learn from the master

instead of playing with you all day.

I 'm not going.

No, no, I want to play chess.

I just want to play.

Let's go.

Go play chess.

Let go of me.

Don't pull me.

Let's go.

Let go of my hand.

Let's go .

Don't follow me.

I just want to.

Xin Yuege.

After this move,

you'll lose again.

What's going on?

What's wrong?

It hurts.

Hurts? Where hurts?

I have a stomachache.

Why do you have a stomachache for no reason?

How do you feel?

All right.

All right?

It seems to be better.

Why does it so fast?

You're good.

Come on, come on, come on.

Come on here.

What's wrong again? It hurts again?

How come?

Xin Yuege, I didn't expect you to be like this.

Come on, don't be angry.

It's a game.

The most important thing is the rules of the game.

You always try to fool me like this.

I won't play chess with you anymore.

I won't play with you anymore

Don't be so stingy.

Still so bossy .

Lianzi.

Think about it yourself if you're being petty.

You wouldn't come to my Mt. Jinglecloud anymore due to such a trivial matter.

It's been so many years.

Yuege.

I found that you don't even blink your eyes when telling lies.

It's obvious that you're the one who was wrong in the first place.

I'm telling you, honesty is the most important in life.

You are really...

What? Do you want to blame me?

Please be reasonable.

Yes.

We wouldn't have met

if it weren't for Shui Guijiao, would we?

Is Shui Guijiao all right over there?

Are you asking me a question?

Again?

What's wrong? Can't I?

Okay , but you know,

there's a price to pay

for asking me a question.

You...

Say it, what's the price?

I need to clarify beforehand.

No playing the game of go.

Gomoku?

What?

No.

I mean

a hug between brothers.

you are so passionate suddenly.

I feel wired.

Say it.

This... is from your apprentice.

He's very nice

and he has a beautiful woman with him.

But he is most worried about

you.

Good, good.

This kid is...

I've figured it out.

I can live with anyone.

It's good to live alone.

It's getting late.

I have to go.

See you if there is a chance.

Master Baili.

This is the Boye Jingxing you caught?

Exactly.

Back then, during the battle on Mt. Vulturesoar,

among those who fought Boye Jingxing in person,

you are the only one alive, Brother Jiang.

And Boye Jingxing

had been locked up in the Amberverde Mansion for many years.

No one knows better than you

whether this man is Boye Jingxing or not

in jianghu.

Master Jiang, how are you?

Brother Jiang, please check his identity.

Is this man really Boye Jingxing?

I don't think so.

He's the most powerful Demon Lord in jianghu

with extremely cruel killing methods.

How could he be an ordinary old man?

That's just a rumor.

This is exactly what Boye Jingxing looks like.

He's just an old man.

Sister-in-law, it sounds like that

you've seen Boye Jingxing.

He who has no knowledge needs to have common sense

Well, I mean.

Who hasn't heard a few rumors

whether they're t rue or false

in such a big Jianghu?

I still can't believe this is Boye Jingxing.

Look at him, he looks like a loser.

He doesn't look like a Demon Lord at all.

Right.

And this is Boye Jingxing.

How can he be tied up with a straw rope?

The problem is that he's injured.

Besides, he has been locked up for so many years.

He may have lost his kung fu.

Brother Jiang, why are you so quiet?

I will take it as your acquiescence.

Since Boye Jingxing has been caught by me,

what other reason do you have

not to hand over the Dragon Seal?

Wait a minute.

Boye Jingxing's name is so well known.

We rarely have this opportunity today.

I'd like to fight him to learn some experiences.

Master Mei, what do you mean?

Boye Jingxing

is so vulnerable.

No wonder Master Baili

caught him so easily.

Master Baili.

Shouldn't you explain it to the whole Wulin?

This man is definitely not Boye Jingxing.

Then who is he?

Masters,

there's something fishy about this.

Perhaps Master Baili has been deceived.

All the sect leaders ,

why don't we stick to the old agreement?

Whoever captures Boye Jingxing

will be the next Master of Wulin.

I'm so angry.

Why did Gong Zizai and Mei Yingxue

come over here and get involved?

All right, calm down.

I can't.

I'd be a free man

from tomorrow onwards.

And now?

I'm in countless danger now.

Keep your voice down.

Even your grandfather didn't expose the old man.

That two little young men ruined it .

This is quite strange.

Grandpa values the title of Master of Wulin

more important than his life.

If he didn't expose the fake Boye Jingxing today,

and let Baili Tianxiong tell the lie there.

If it weren't for Mei and Gong ,

wouldn't the Dragon Seal have been handed over to others?

Your grandpa

must be caught out

by Baili Tianxiong.

Caught out?

What is it about?

It must be something he can't tell you.

Can you stop following me around?

Don't flatter yourself.

Who's following you?

I'm just passing by.

I've arrived.

Me too.

Amberverde Mansion?

Baili Tianxiong, that old villain,

almost got a way with it today.

Right.

To think that

Baili Tianxiong got a fake Boye Jingxing.

That's outrageous.

Brother Jiang?

You argued with my sister-in-law?

Did you upset her again?

That's how you are.

Girls need to be coaxed

and spoiled.

Coaxed?

Have a try.

If you can make her happy,

I'll promise you anything.

Really?

Really.

Then,

I'll take a jar of vintage liquor.

Just one jar?

If you can make her happy,

I will give you ten jars.

Come here.

Sister-in-law.

Did that bastard Jiang Qingliu

upset you again?

No matter what it was for,

it must be his fault.

So, sis-in-law...

How about I choose two people

to apologize for Qingliu?

Sister-in-law, please don't be angry.

Jiang Qingliu is a big jerk.

Jiang Qingliu is a big jerk?

But you two are big idiots.

Jiang Qingliu is a big jerk.

Mei Yingxue, Gong Zizai are big idiots.

You think you can fix it with an apology?

What else do you want?

Just tell me what you want

as long as you're happy.

There's only one way to make me happy.

Find Boye Jingxing for m e.

Sister-in-law, that's a bit difficult, isn't it?

I'm sure you can find him

if you follow my method.

Baili Tianxiong has come to apologize.

How dare you come here, you loser.

Don' t be angry, Lord.

It was just as you predicted.

Jiang Yintian didn't dare to identify him.

But I didn't expect

that Mei Yingxue and Gong Zizai get involved.

So...

How dare you think you can command Wulin

that you couldn't even handle such a small thing?

Where is the so-called righteous

the Master of Wulin?

Lord.

It's my fault for being too proud of myself

and being rude.

Please give me another chance, Lord.

Why should I give you another chance?

Do you think

you still have any value for me?

Wei Xiao.

Listen to me.

I, Baili Tianxiong, have a clear conscience to Yin-Yang Clan.

I even gave up my own son.

What else can' t I give up?

We will die together

at the worst.

Are you threatening me?

How do you think you

can die with me?

To capture Boye Jingxing

in a short time

is the best chance

for our Jiang family to reg ain our prestige.

There is no way you can lose the Dragon Seal

from you nor from me.

Understand?

Grandpa.

I've already sent people to investigate it.

There isn't any news?

Nothing found.

The villain Boye is too cunning .

Grandpa.

There is one thing I don't understand.

Go ahead.

Why didn't you expose Baili Tianxiong

as you clearly knew that

Baili Tianxiong got a fake Boye Jingxing

in the Succession Ceremony today?

Let me ask you.

You've seen Boye Jingxing too.

You also know his true face

Why

didn't you expose him either?

Where did you take Fan'er today?

He said he wanted to go to the market.

I took him for a walk.

I'll ask you again.

Where did you go?

We didn't go anywhere.

Just to the market.

Why did you take Fan'er to Chillecho Valley?

I couldn't let go.

What is there you can't let go?

Killing Boye Jingxing

is the only way to avenge my father's death.

Fan'er has the right to know this.

Boye Jingxing is the enemy of our family.

That's your family's enemy.

Fan Susu.

I promised you 11 yea rs ago.

I would avenge your father's death.

Eleven years?

You're clear it's eleven years.

You...

To think that you really come.

You old man, I'm telling you.

Although we haven't seen each other for a long time,

you can hide nothing from me

with your shabby tricks.

Don't you always think of yourself as a noble man,

refusing to contact with the Jiang family?

It's interesting.

Let me tell you.

This is unprecedentedly interesting.

Tell me, how interesting it is?

You know,

you have to pay me a price in exchange

if you want to know something from me.

I'll do it.

I want one person.

Who?

Jiang Qingliu.

If you want to know who murdered

the family 11 years ago,

you have to promise me one thing.

Tell me, as long as I have it.

Just tell me what you want.

Even if I don't have it,

I'll manage to get it for you.

I want

Jiang Qingliu.

Stand still.

Master Jing.

Yes As human who walks with two legs, Yes

Yes can you change it to a more civilized way Yes

can you change it to a more civilized way

to think?

I'm thinking right now.

Yes No

This is a question. Yes No

This is a question.

Why are you looking at me?

I'm just a physician.

I can't control her.

Master Jing.

To change it or not ?

Whether you want to kill or torture me, don't be so fussy to make the decision.

Make it easy.

What you're doing to us now

is like a mental torture.

Who's being fussy?

I didn't even hesitate for one second

back when I killed people.

Just use that kid as a condition.

What's the big deal?

Come on.

God is jealous of my beautiful face.

Let the Flying Awl come.

So

do you want to change it or not?

Sorry.

I've become unskilled.

Let's do it again.

No, no, no.

I can't take it anymore.

I suggest

to try something

more civilized.

Who?

This is the civilized way?

As the saying goes, a gentleman doesn' t fight if he can speak.

What's the point of just speaking?

I think using my Flying Awl is better.

Master Jing.

Wait one second.

See whether what we say is reasonable or not

before you choose.

Your hands can get rid of this , right?

In the spirit of serving Master Jing,

I, Chuan Huadie,

strongly support Master Jing to give Qingliu to him.

You had been imprisoned in the Amberverde Mansion

for 11 years.

More than 4,010 days and nights

More than that.

Yes, more than that.

No food at day, no sleep at night.

For what?

It was for the undying faith in your heart.

Now the truth is at hand.

There is just one more step to go.

How can you give up just like that ?

That's true.

I should say yes.

Why are you here?

It's late and I see you haven't gone to the room yet.

I know you must be here.

How can I sleep since there are so many things happened

in Amberverde Mansion lately?

Important as the Master of Wulin is,

you should also

take care of your health.

Amberverde Mansion is still counting on you to revive its fortunes.

Master, I don't support to give Jiang Qingliu

to Xin Yuege in exchange.

It's really strange.

We've been friends for so many years.

It's the first time that you protect someone so much.

Jiang Qingliu is re ally something.

I'm not protecting him.

I'm just worried about you.

Your health is getting worse and worse.

You faint more than before.

So,

the key now is

to have a child with Jiang Qingliu to renew your life.

Xin Yuege didn't say

what he's going to do with Jiang Qingliu.

Maybe

he just wants to

watch the stars

and moon,

and talk about poetry, songs and life ideals with him.

Do you think everyone is like you?

All right.

Even if Jiang Qingliu

is killed accidentally,

I promise I'll find another one for Master Jing

who is just a little bit

less beautiful than me.

Men are everywhere.

But there is only one truth.

Master Jing, you should think about it carefully.

Now the entire Wulin is looking for you.

Amberverde Mansion is the best place for you to hide.

When you are pregnant,

there will be ten months before you can give the birth,

which is the most critical period.

So,

you must have Jiang Qingliu's baby,

so that you can legitimately

prepare for giving birth in Amberverde Mansion.

Fair enou gh.

Why don't we keep Jiang Qingliu for now?

The opponent.

You're being alarmist.

Even if we don't give Jiang Qingliu to him,

can you guarantee that

Master Jing will be able to get pregnant

and renew her life soon?

What if she's not pregnant

but dies first?

I mean

this is the fastest way to know the truth.

It's just the matter of replacing the Master of Wulin.

You will lose nothing.

If we don't sacrifice him now, when should we?

What is the use of

knowing the truth if she dies?

How can she take revenge?

Through magic?

Renew the life.

Jiang Qingliu is not the only one who can renew her life.

Sacrifice him first.

Renew her life.

Sacrifice him .

Renew life.

Sacrifice him.

Renew her life.

Sacrifice him first.

Stop arguing.

Since neither of you can convince the other,

let's solve this problem

in my way.

Revive the prestige.

I had been the Master of Wulin for over 30 years .

I've made a lot of effort

to maintain the status

and prestige of Amberverde Mansion in Wulin.

I never thought it would b e so easy

for someone else to take away the title of the Master of Wulin.

I'm afraid that it will be difficult for Amberverde Mansion

to gain a status in jianghu in the future.

How many setbacks have we gone through

over the past few decades?

But we've also survived.

Now it's just a momentary setback

due to a villain.

Are you going to watch Amberverde Mansion

go down like this?

I won't let the reputation and status

of Amberverde Mansion

collapse in my hands.

Right .

As long as we can catch Boye Jingxing first,

we will definitely regain the title of Master of Wulin.

Do you think it's easy to

catch Boye Jingxing?

The entire Wulin was out in force and tried to

kill Boye Jingxing back then.

In the end,

it was you who captured him.

Are we going to

follow the same road again now?

Let's see.

Let go.

It's not decided by fate yet.

Let's discuss it next time.

I have to go to bed now.

Thank you.

Grandpa.

Since you came here,

I've been taking this Rouge Dew even for eight meals a day.

But why has m y strength become weaker?

Is there something wrong with your prescription?

Do you want me to steal

Jiang Qingliu's prescription?

It's not that there's something wrong with my Rouge Pills.

It's that your health

is really deteriorating.

I can only maintain your health temporarily.

But this won't be a long-term solution.

You still have to go to Jiang Qingliu.

I still have to have a child with Jiang Qingliu, right?

I've heard it millions of times

that my ears are calloused.

You know .

Even if I want to have a baby with him,

I wouldn't be able to.

In fact, you don't want to exchange

Jiang Qingliu to Xin Yuege, right?

Who says I don't want to give him to Xin Yuege?

Jiang Qingliu is stubborn

and cunning.

He finally became the Master of Wulin.

But he lost his inner strength.

I wanted to use him to have a baby.

But he didn't follow my lead.

Neither grandma nor grandpa loves him.

Even his wife ran away with someone else.

What's the reason of keeping him

if I don't give him to Xin Yuege?

It's just an ordinary Rouge Pill.

Why do you give me that?

To be more precise,

this Rouge Pill

was picked by me last night

after the gambling game.

As for why this Rouge Pill

appear on the ground at that time,

I believe

only you can explain it, Master.

All right.

I admit that I did something.

I know.

It's just that you can't decide

whether to hand over

Jiang Qingliu or not, isn't it?

Actually I don't know.

Well,

I should hand over Jiang Qingliu

without hesitation

in exchange for the truth of the murder case

in the Chillecho Valley where I was framed.

But I don't know why.

I just can't decide.

I contradict myself as well.

Those who is in the chess game

is confused

while the onlooker is clear.

You were distracted, right?

Distraction is a taboo when practicing martial arts.

Grandpa is right.

I remember I used to

teach you sword here when you were a child.

So many years have passed .

We haven't practiced it together

for a long time.

How about this?

Today

let's have a competition.

Grandpa.

Your Nines hadows Stroke has become a masterpiece.

Now that I've lost all my internal strength,

I'm afraid I can't compete with you.

We will only compete in swordplay today

without internal strength.

Well, Grandpa.

Sorry to offend you.

Young brat.

Come out to have fun with me.

Young brat.

Where did he go again?

Stop there.

I'm not a beast.

Why are you running away?

Will I eat you?

Young...

even the young master is afraid that you will eat him.

Not to mention me.

The young brat

must have said something bad about me to you.

Turn around.

Where did your Master go?

Young master went to the back of the mountain to practice his sword.

He's been working hard.

Turn around.

I have to check.

You can't go there.

Who told you to turn around?

Why can't I go?

Tell me.

I just saw the Master Jiang

went there too.

It seemed that he wasn 't in a good mood.

If you go there now,

I'm sure you'll cause trouble.

Is the old man

really going to kill the young one?

Thank you for teaching me.

Qingliu.

You have fully got

the essence of the Nineshadows Stroke.

From now on,

I have nothing more to teach you.

Grandpa.

Do you used to do the same thing

with my father too?

Shaosang was good at Nineshadows Stroke too.

How does my swordplay compare to my father's?

It's better than his.

If my father were still alive,

I'm sure he would have practiced with me like this.

But unfortunately,

I'll never have the chance.

People can't come back from the dead.

Qingliu.

You have complaints?

Who is it?

Master.

Is here the place where you can just come without permission?

I told them to come here.

Come out, it's not fun.

You found out so quickly.

It's no fun at all.

What do you want again?

You don't have to ask.

I've made a lot of efforts.

How could I miss this great show of the Jiang family?

I asked them to come here for the treasure hunt.

You wouldn't mind it, would you?

Nonsense.

What treasures can you find at Amberverde Mansion?

Master Jiang.

I've found it.

It's right here.

Crazy girl.

You think I can be fooled?

Is that so?

Jiang Qingliu is the only heir

to your Nineshadows Stroke.

He is also the heir to the Amberverde Mansion.

Don't you think he is a treasure?

Qingliu is a living human being.

How can he be compared to an object?

Grandpa.

Jing is always joking.

Please calm down.

I'll take her away now.

Jing.

I hope you'll remember what I just said.

Let's go.

Jiang Yintian, Boye Jingxing.

What do you think

will happen if they're put together ?

An astonishing scene.

I'm so excited just thinking about it.

My cells are dancing in my body.

Let me tell you, Yuege.

Don't go too far.

Our Master can't stand this.

No way.

How boring the jianghu is

without Boye Jingxing for 11 years?

So,

you do know the truth about the murder case in Chillecho Valley?

I can't say I know everything.

But I can always guess most of it.

I know everything

interesting in Jianghu.

But

while there are gains, there are losses in this.

You can't get to know one thing without a price.

What do you want?

I'll trade with you,

but with one conditi on.

The agreement between you and my Master should be null and void.

Forget it, you're such a lump of wood.

I still think Jiang Yintian and Boye Jingxing

are more interesting.

Villain.

What's wrong with you today?

Everything is wrong .

Then please get out.

I have to study hard.

You can read.

I won't stop you from reading.

Read carefully.

How can I concentrate on my reading while you're here?

Why can't you read

when I' m here?

Do you plan to do something?

You said in all seriousness that

you didn't want to have a baby with me yesterday.

It turns out you're secretly thinking about me.

Naughty.

You are so powerful.

Don't pretend to be a delicate girl.

All right?

It really hurts.

I never thought that the world's best

also has the trouble of being the best.

I mean,

if you really have nothing to do,

go to Lan Shanke

or Chuan Huadie

and let them accompany you, okay?

They're working on

the Rouge Pills for me.

I'm not stupid enough

to ruin my own business.

How about

I lend Mei Yingxue and Gong Zi zai.

to you for now?

You're really

a good brother.

I almost forgot.

They're probably

sitting

at some corners of the street.

Go away.

You.

Stop pulling.

You'll break it later.

I got this with ten buns

from two beggars.

I'll have to return it to them after wearing it.

I'm telling you.

These are their all assets.

If you tear it up,

they'll fight me.

It's too late.

Young master.

Young master.

The Master informs you

to go to have lunch now.

Why do you think grandpa suddenly

asked me to have lunch with him?

Why can't you understand?

You have to feed the pig before you kill it.

I am really sick enough

to ask you.

Are you really going to go?

Grandpa has asked me to go.

I have no reason not to go.

Ignorant child.

You don't even know

you've already been a fish under someone's knife.

What a good boy!

Take it and save it for food.

Go away

I'm not a child.

I'm a senior of Beggars' Sect.

Look.

You must be new here.

You haven't got

even a single coin for the whole morning .

You will starve to death

or be secluded by

other beggars to death like this.

So, I decided

to take you as my disciples.

From now on, you will follow me.

I will take care of you.

Young Senior.

We are really new here.

There are many things we don't know yet.

How about

you teach us?

I'll show you how to do it.

Watch and learn.

Hold it.

Okay.

Put it here.

Here.

Right, right.

Grandpa.

Qingliu is here. Sit down .

Okay.

There's been a lot of things happened in our family recently.

We haven't had a good meal together.

I asked the kitchen

to make some of your favorite dishes today.

Try it.

Try if you like it.

Thank you, grandpa.

Qingliu.

You should know very well

how important the position of the Master of Wulin is

to our Jiang family.

Yes.

So there are some things

I have no choice but to do so.

Baili Tianxiong hates our Amberverde Mansion

due to his son's death.

I heard he's gathering all the sects in Wulin

to exert pressure on us.

Once he becomes the Master of Wulin,

how can we live a peaceful life?

I'm sorry, Grandpa.

I'm sorry to all of the people

in Amberverde Mansion.

I'm the one who brought

Baili Cichu back.

If Baili Tianxiong

does anything bad to Amberverde Mansion,

I will bear all the consequences.

I know you hold love and loyalty for the Jiang family.

Now

the Dragon Seal is held by Master Fang Jue.

I'm quite relieved.

As long as we catch Boye Jingxing,

we'll still have a chance

to take back the position of the Master of Wulin.
