Lost Promise

Episode 09

Baili Tianxiong.

You killed my son.

If I don't take the revenge, you won't die in peace.

You know you' re no match for me.

Let him go and I won't kill you.

What a great show of love and affection.

It's a pity that my Sevenstar Sword won't let you go.

You can't be faster

than my sword no matter what.

It's still hard to relieve your hatred

even if you kill him with your sword now, right?

You go.

Don't be afraid, Qingliu.

I will protect you.

Just go.

With a great reputation for my life,

how could I lose to

Baili?

Master Jing, that's enough, right?

How is it?

Jiang is really tough.

He didn't faint till now.

I'm so tired.

How is it? Was my brother better at acting

or me?

Of course it's me.

But Master Jing,

we asked you to say something passionate to him.

Look what you said when he fainted.

I've already made it affectionate enough.

Don't be afraid, Qingliu.

I will protect you.

Idol . He won't be suspicious this time, will he?

He's already figured it out the first time.

It's the second time.

He must be convinced.

Come on, let's go.

Where to?

Go home. The show's not over yet.

Qingliu, you're awake?

Come on.

Drink this medicine while it's hot.

Boye Jingxing.

Where's Jing?

She seems to be seriously injured.

Ku Lianzi has been watching over her.

Cuixue.

Help me up.

Wrapped like this,

Jiang must recognize it's fake at first glance.

Well.

How can I wrap it for you again?

Hurry up.

Jiang Qingliu has woken up.

He's coming this way.

What? He woke up so quickly?

He's too strong in recovery.

Just randomly wrap it up.

I'll lay sprawled.

Okay.

Hurry up.

Greetings to Grandpa and Grandma.

Wanchan.

Jing has been very active lately.

There is no sign of pregnancy from you at all.

Grandpa.

Apart from the Master of Wulin

does Qingliu have any other status

in your mind?

He's also my grandson.

It's his duty to carry on the family's bloodline.

It's also your duty.

Have you ever thought that

does he

want it or not?

He is the only son of the Jiang family.

He has no choice.

It's fate.

Wanchan, what's wrong with you today?

It seems something's wrong.

Grandpa is right.

It's all fate.

If it's not in my fate,

I can't fight for it no matter how hard I try.

I'll leave now.

How are you?

Men like women who are gentle.

Be gentle.

I won't die.

What kind of tricks are you trying to play again?

I'm not playing any tricks.

Do you think the game you set up last night

was a particular success?

Actually

I already knew that person

was the fake Baili Tianxiong.

I didn't expose you

in case you got embarrassed .

By the way, I wanted to see

what kind of tricks you were playing.

And

you hit Chuan Huadie

pretty hard.

Chuan Huadie came up with it all by himself.

I didn't order him to do it.

You have to trust me .

Believe you, how can I?

Also,

you should take good care of your injury.

Don't get a sequel.

Thank you, husband.

Now you don't even knock when you enter?

Didn't I tell Ku Lianzi

not to pay ef forts anymore?

This medicine doesn't mean

anything to me anymore.

I've delivered the medicine.

It's up to you whether you takes it or not.

But I have to deliver it.

You've delivered it. You can go now.

Put it on your eyes. It'll reduce the swelling.

Do you always see women cry?

In the past, the master decided on a whim

to help people with medical skills.

There were always women crying in the center.

Some of them cried for joy because their loved ones

were cured.

Some cried because their loved ones

were incurable.

And sometimes

the master was not happy with those wicked people.

He would punish them slightly

and didn't cure them.

After those people were punished,

their relatives would come to our medical center

crying and making a scene.

We were often chased to be killed.

You must have had a very scary time.

It's all right.

We basically changed places once a month.

Didn't you ever complain?

There's nothing to complain about.

It's the life that I chose.

Then Master gradually stopped prac ticing medicine.

He studied medical skills and medicine all day long.

We disciples were

scattered in various black markets selling medicine.

Life could barely get by.

The black market?

Yes, just before where you...

That's enough.

Don't say anymore.

Madam.

In fact, there is nothing wrong with your body.

But you're overconcerned.

If you don't mind,

can I take your pulse?

In fact, after so many years of running around.

I also often feel very tired.

I still often suddenly

wake up in my dreams,

dreaming about the old days

when my master and I were being chased.

At that time, my greatest wish

was to be able to

fairly walk down the street every day

and buy my favorite candy .

I read a book.

It says that

there is a place in this world

surrounded by a sea of bamboo, where all four seasons are like spring,

where people are self-sufficient.

Even the animals there have no natural enemies.

The people there rest at sunset and work at sunrise,

watching the clouds roll in and out every day

with the one s they love.

It's beautiful.

Is there really such a place in the world?

I don't know.

But if there is,

it'll be such a happy thing

to spend the rest of life there.

I envy that.

I' m afraid I won't even have

the chance to fantasize about it in my life.

Actually, Madam, if you want to,

there is still a way.

Madam.

I'll take my leave then.

Cuixue.

Young master.

What's wrong ?

I...

Young master, I'll leave now.

What's going on?

Why are you here again?

Miss, it's me.

I'm here to bring you some snacks.

Come in.

Miss, the medicine.

Throw it away .

Didn't Shuigui Jiao see you drink it today?

No.

He put it down and left.

Then I'll go pour it out.

Miss.

The medicine today

doesn't seem to be medicine.

It's not medicine? Then what is it?

Miss, this

is red bean soup

with honey.

How is it?

Senior Master, it's all done.

Are you sure?

Rest assured, sir.

Go.

Yes, sir.

Miss.

You've been holding this bowl of soup for a long time.

Why don't I go and warm it up for you?

Miss, Shuigui Jiao is here.

Go tell him I'm asleep.

My lady.

You've finally spoken.

You little girl.

You're getting more reckless now.

You are.

You are getting stranger lately.

I haven't.

Miss.

Where are you going

so early in the morning?

And you didn't want me to prepare a sedan chair.

I can't sleep anyway.

I'm bored at home.

Let's go for a walk.

By foot?

What do you think of

Shuigui Jiao, Miss?

What?

Ningxiang thinks

Shuigui Jiao is considerate and thoughtful.

Although he grew up in jianghu,

he is loyal and honest

with no bad habits.

He is a dedicated and simple person.

And a little silly.

It's so cute.

Why are you staring at me?

Miss.

I can tell though I'm so dumb.

How can you not guess it?

Don't be ridiculous.

He's the doctor. I'm his patient.

That's all.

What are you laughing at?

I'm laughing because there is something on your face.

You're teasing me again.

There are some words on your face.

What words?

That what you say is not what you think.

Stop it.

It's so crowded and messy here.

I'll wait for you outside.

You go g et the bill.

Miss.

Where's the nearest clothing store?

It's not far away.

That's….

I'll take you there.

Senior Master.

Senior Master.

What a disgrace.

Why are you crying out?

The young lady has been taken away .

The young master is not at home.

You must do something for the young lady.

You said that Wanchan was taken away?

What happened?

Just now,

young Madam said she wanted to go out for a walk.

So we went to a teahouse for breakfast.

After I went to pay the bill and came out,

the young lady disappeared.

Someone saw her

being tied to a horse by a woman

and kidnapped.

I see. You can go.

Senior Master.

That's enough.

You won't stop crying, will you?

She's the daughter-in-law of our Jiang family.

How can I let her suffer?

Senior Master, should we take action?

They won't be satisfied

without the Dragon Seal.

But

they won't be able to lead me by the nose.

What do you mean?

Where is Qingliu?

He took the Second Lady out with him

to investigate a case last night.

He's finally getting on his bu siness .

Wanchan has been married to the Jiang family

for 3 years with no children.

The family has fallen on hard times.

Besides, the enemy wants the Dragon Seal.

I understand.

Ningxiang.

Ningxiang.

Where is this?

Shuigui Jiao?

Shuigui Jiao .

Wake up.

Shuigui Jiao.

Shuigui Jiao, wake up.

You're hurt.

Why are you here too?

They took you here too?

I saw someone knocking you out.

So I followed you here.

I didn't expect…

Can you take off one of your clothes and give it to me?

Then turn around.

You'd better hurry up.

Why is it you?

Who should it be?

Do you want to die?

I just had a dream

where I was drinking with a group of girls.

It's so nice.

These girls are really nice.

They brought you back from the Restaurant just now.

Brought me back? What happened to me?

You fainted.

Fainted?

Fainted in the restaurant?

Wouldn't that be humiliating ?

Jiang Qingliu must have laughed at me.

It's not the matter of

humiliation.

You don't have much time left.

Why didn't you take a good rest?

You're still foo ling around with Jiang Qingliu all the time.

I really wasn't fooling around this time.

Then why did you go to that Restaurant?

You're a girl.

Do you remember I told you once that there was a woman

from the West at the Martial Arts Conference?

It seems to ring a bell.

This woman came for me.

I asked the Lanshan Ke to check it out at that time.

But the result of that investigation was very ridiculous.

I didn't take it seriously.

Until the last time at the Reclining Buddha Temple,

the woman appeared again.

I didn't fight with her head-on,

but somehow I felt very familiar.

So what do you mean, Master Gu?

I think this woman

must be related to the murder case

in Chillecho Valley 11 years ago.

I'll do it myself.

Don't move.

I need to get some wind myself, too.

Who on earth are they?

Why were they coming for me?

I don't know.

But they had the chance to kill us.

And they didn't do it.

This proves they have another purpose.

Let's wait and see.

If you're tired, take a nap.

There's nothing to do w hen you're awake anyway.

Just think of it as preserving your strength.

Don't worry, I'm here.

Young master.

Young master.

You're finally back, Young Master.

What's wrong?

They don't even appreciate this.

I told you not to deliver it.

You see?

Who says we don't appreciate it?

Eat it.

Eat up so that we can do something to you.

May I ask you two

what the purpose of taking Jiang's daughter-in -law is?

It's been an hour.

The Jiang family didn't come to save her.

That's right.

What a Master of Wulin.

If you arrest me to threaten the Jiang family,

you've arrested the wrong person.

I'm just a small ant

to be crushed to death

to the Jiang family.

But... here comes someone who's willing to die.

That's right.

This man was so willing to follow Madam.

We were all touched.

So we did as he wished.

That's a waste of your kindness.

Valley Master.

I understand

what you just said.

You can't harm yourself like this

no matter how important the murder case is.

I've told you many times.

You can't bear this no w.

I know.

That's why there's another reason

of me going to the Restaurant this time.

What reason?

I was going to learn some lessons from those girls.

What kind of lessons did you learn from those girls?

That to have a child with Jiang Qingliu.

Then?

Did you

get the lessons?

Then

I fainted.

It seems that

I'm not suitable to have a baby.

I've tried my best.

Go.

Go.

Madam, be good.

Go.

Madam.

I' m sorry.

What do you want?

To get a small object

so that her husband can recognize her wife.

Wait.

Gentlemen.

if you just want to get a token

to convince the Jiang family,

now that you have her in your hands,

why should you make her suffer?

What do you want?

What you don't know is

it's not easy for a huge figure

like Master Jiang to get a wife.

If you two

hurt Madam Jiang,

I'm sure it's possible for Master Jiang

to give up his wife and marry another.

In that case,

your mission won't be accomplished.

No.

Don't.

No.

Qingliu.

You don't have to interfere in this matter.

I'll take care of it myself.

Gr andpa.

Grandpa.

That's my wife.

How can you ask me to stand by and do nothing?

Do you know what they want?

Your chair as the Master of Wulin.

6 hours.

In 6 hours.

How long has passed, Grandpa?

Qingliu .

Are you crazy?

You want to trade the Dragon Seal

for a weak woman?

Grandpa.

It's good that they acted early.

The Jiang family would send someone to find you soon.

They won't.

Why did you waste a finger for nothing ?

One finger is nothing.

Even if they want a hand or a foot

even they want to cut up our bodies next,

they'll have to do it on me first.

Don't cry.

Come on.

Eat something.

Are you in pain?

No.

If you won't stop crying

and let people see you,

they'd think I've done something to you.

And if you make them tired of you,

maybe they'll come in and split me up.

Senior Master!

Go.

Yes.

It's Wanchan's ring.

I put it on her myself

on our wedding night.

Now you know it's time to show mercy

and how much love you have for her?

You haven't given me a grandchild

for so long.

Grandpa.

Is there anything else more important to you

apart from the Master of Wulin in your heart?

No.

Good.

Good.

If a Master of Wulin

can't even protect his own wife,

I'd rather not be

the master.

The Jiang family has sent someone to pick you up?

What a surprise!

With his wife stolen,

the Master of Wulin remains so calm.

Impressive.

Impressive.

Did you not get what you wanted?

I've said it before.

I'm just a dispensable pawn

to the Jiang family.

Half an hour to go.

If Jiang Qingliu

doesn't bring us what we want...

Don't you understand?

Even if you kill me,

put my corpse at the entrance of the mansion,

Amberverde Mansion

will only embrace a new wife

of Master of Wulin tomorrow.

So out of expectation that

the great Master Jiang in Wulin

would be so cold.

If not,

how could he become the Master of Wulin?

I can't solve the old man's unique

acupuncture skill.

Why don 't you just stay here?

And leave the task of rescuing

your little wife to me.

Shuigui Jiao.

Do you still remember

the place you told me about?

I t's surrounded by a sea of bamboo, where the seasons are all like spring.

I do.

I've been dreaming about it a lot lately.

It's without such rivalries, fighting

and killing of Jianghu.

It's so enviable.

Madam.

Don't call me Madam anymore.

Look at me now.

I don't look like Madam at all.

What's more,

the Jiang family

has never treated me like a lady.

From now on, you can call me Wanchan.

Wanchan.

This day will come .

We will live like that.

It's not possible.

Believe me, don't give up.

Good job.

Idol, it's not difficult at all.

Let's do something more difficult.

Stick to Jiang Yintian.

Yes.

Tell me.

Who is the owner of this evil store?

Please spare my life.

I,

I really don't know anything.

I've just come here.

Then who told you

I'd be here to deliver something?

It was a masked man.

He said

that a man would

deliver a package within 6 hours.

I really

don't know anything else.

Wanchan.

How are you doing?

Look.

They're now openly humiliating the Jiang family.

Such a shame.

Grandpa.

Leave this to me.

You'd better hurry up

and investigate Boye Jingxing.

Wanchan.

Why are you in such a mess?

Shuigui Jiao.

Why are you here?

Qingliu, he came to save me.

The broken finger you saw is his.

He did it to save me.

Thank you for saving my life, Master.

No need to thank me.

It was Miss Jing who rescued you.

That's enough.

Wanchan.

You'd better go back to your room and get cleaned up.

It's so embarrassing .

What are you looking at?

You should go too.
