Lost Promise

Episode 08

Brother Baili,

You still helped our Jiang family

though you've suffered the loss of your son.

Thank you very much.

If it wasn' t for Master Baili's help today,

I don't know

how the mess would have ended.

Brother Yintian.

That's nothing.

It's no bother.

Master Baili.

Do you think

there is something fishy about this?

What do you mean by that?

This woman

appeared twice.

She was clearly

trying to get Boye Jingxing out of the dungeon at the first time.

But it seemed unreasonable at the second time.

Before Master Baili's took action,

our Jiangs was defenseless

when she could have killed us all.

As soon as Master Baili made your move,

she retreated immediately,

not even leaving

one alive

for us.

Doesn't this seem strange?

Master Jiang's

analysis is indeed reasonable.

Brother Yintian.

Master Jiang is quite good as the younger generation.

I admire him.

I admire him.

The evil girl has repe atedly come to stir up trouble.

Someone must be behind it.

But there is only one purpose,

which is to challenge the Jiang family

and the entire Wulin.

Grandpa is right.

Forget it.

Today's credit still goes to

our brother Baili.

No, no.

Brother Yintian.

I just did a little favor.

But

Master Jiang's concubine seems to be very skilled in kung fu.

I'm sorry to let you see that, Master Baili.

She is just

a jack-of-all-trades.

How can she compare with you?

I'll surely

host a banquet to thank you

some other time.

It's better to settle it today.

Master Baili, how about staying with us

for a few days at the Amberverde Mansion?

so that we can have a good drink.

Well...

That's fine.

Since Brother Yintian insists,

I will respectfully accept that.

Little wife.

What's wrong with you?

Just tell me what's wrong with you.

What's wrong with her?

I think it's because

she feels hurt that

the master didn't save her.

I've told you before.

Your character will make you suffer.

Look at you.

All right, all righ t.

Now I'm also receiving his favor.

I can't say anything more.

But think about it.

Jiang Yintian

is really a bad person.

But Jiang Qingliu

is not bad though.

You see?

If he hadn't got trouble on the day

of the succession ceremony,

Jiang Qingliu would have been the Master of Wulin.

The world would be at peace.

People sing and dance.

Everything is nice.

But what happened?

It was all because of

Boye Jingxing.

His escape just

got the Wulin

into a mess.

He can't help himself

as long as

he is in this Jianghu.

If he doesn't manage to live in Jianghu,

he'll have to pay his life.

I don't care about Jianghu.

I just want my family.

My Lady.

All right. All right.

Cry as you wish.

Remember to drink

the medicine after you're done crying.

Then rest early.

I am also tired.

I'll go back to sleep.

The Jiangs was ambushed

in the Reclining Buddha Temple yesterday.

I still want to thank

Brother Baili for your help.

Brother Yintian, it's no big deal.

Please.

From the perspective of our cause,

the Jiang fam ily

is the authority of justice in Wulin.

No one can replace the Jiangs

to be the Master of Wulin.

As the head of the Sevenstars Sect,

I absolutely won't allow

any sect or individual

to mock the justice of Wulin.

As for me ,

you and I have been brothers

for many years.

You are my elder brother.

I am more in duty bound.

I thought that our two families would have had a falling out

because of your son.

I didn't expect you to look at the big picture.

and make it up with us.

I'm ashamed of myself

compared to your generosity.

Brother Yintian.

You're flattering me.

You're flattering me.

My son is unfilial.

Not only did he bring shame to the Sevenstars Sect,

but also brought shame to Wulin.

Let's not

talk about it.

Forget it.

Speaking of yesterday,

I wouldn't have been able to

repel the woman

so quickly alone

but for her superior martial arts skills.

Come on.

Let's drink .

Let's drink.

Impudence.

Don't be rude.

Don't be angry, Brother Yintian.

Lady Jing

is quite great-hearted.

Here

I propose a t oast to you.

Impudence!

Master Baili.

Excuse me for a moment.

All of you, leave now.

Grandpa.

Grandpa.

Grandpa.

How can you marry

this kind of uncouth woman

who shoots from the hip?

Don't you feel ashamed?

I'll take care of this.

Although Jing is willful,

she...

You're not

taking me seriously

anymore, are you?

Of course not, Grandpa.

You are the head of the family.

Grandpa.

Master Baili.

I' m afraid it's not right

to be so hard

on a young girl.

My Lady.

Normally,

I use much force.

If I offended you,

please don't take it personally.

Of course I won't take it personally at all.

I just don't know

what is concerning you, Master Baili.

I have always been open and honest.

There is no such thing.

That'll be great.

A toast to you again.

Why don't you

have some food, my lady ?

Come on.

Let me get you some.

Madam, take this.

It seems that Master Baili

is determined to

compete with me.

It depends on whether you

will give the honor or not.

What if I say no?

Then I can't

force you.

Master Baili.

I've told you that I'm

no match for you.

You still insisted to compete with me.

I'm just a young girl.

Don't you think others

would get us wrong?

It's all my fault for being rude.

Madam,

you do have

superb martial arts.

I admire you.

I admire you.

Center Hall

Villain.

You got a lot of guts today.

How dare you fight with Baili Tianxiong?

Are you scared?

Don't be afraid.

I didn't do my level best.

How can I be afraid?

I'm worried that you're playing with fire.

Hope you won't get burnt one day.

What's that noise?

Master Baili.

Did you see anyone fishy just now?

I think I heard

someone running that way.

Go get him!

Madam.

Haven't you already infiltrated the Jiangs?

Amberverde Mansion is heavily guarded.

I got a little drunk.

I'll go back to Amberverde Mansion

and find a chance...

No need.

Madam .

What else you have planned?

I will definitely risk any danger to do my duty.

Has the Jiangs suspected you?

I think...

they haven't yet.

You go back first.

Don't let them find out that

you' ve been out o f Amberverde Mansion.

Yes, ma'am

. Cuixue.

Get my clothes prepared.

You…

Why am I here?

What happened last night?

Last night?

Last night, I was healing you.

I only used 30% of my power.

You fainted

as I pushed you gently.

And you didn't wear any clothes.

Villain.

Where are my clothes?

Why am I still feeling a bit dizzy?

My Lady.

This is the soup

Shuigui Jiao brought here this morning.

He heard that you haven't eaten well

in the past few days.

He specially asked me

to make sure you drink it.

Shuigui Jiao?

That's right.

He came over

knowing you weren't feeling well

last night.

He said he was worried about you.

He only left after I told him

that you had rested long ago.

But early in this morning

he brought this again.

He said that you must finish it

no matter what.

I've married into the Jiangs for so many years.

No one has ever

cared about me except for you.

Now some physician

whom I don't even know

is worrying about me.

My Lady.

In fact, the master...

You don't have to say anything.

I und erstand.

Who else know

the matter of pregnancy

other than Jiang Qingliu?

Apart from me,

who else could it be?

Little wife!

Please.

Brother Baili.

Why don't you stay a few more days?

Thank you for

your kind hospitality these days.

It's just that

I have a lot of unfinished business

to deal with in Sevenstars Sect.

I really can't pass it over.

That's fine.

Let's meet again someday.

Okay.

So,

Master Jiang.

I'll take my leave.

Master Baili.

Take care on your way back.

Don't worry.

Welcome to come next time.

Go.

Grandfather.

Master.

What are you doing here?

I'm here to send medicine

to Lady Wanchan ordered by my master.

Master. ..

This is...

This is the young lady's medicine.

Brother Jiang.

Zizai.

You're finally back.

I'm exhausted.

By the way,

what do you get about that

fake western woman?

No concrete clues about her whereabouts ?

But,

there is one thing I'm basically sure of.

What?

This woman,

just as you speculated before,

is indeed a member of Yin-Yang Clan.

You're a man of martial arts.

S uch a small injury makes you yell like this?

Shame on you.

Doctor.

Will it

leave a scar here?

Are you doubting

my medical skills?

As long as you listen to me,

I can guarantee

there will be no one who

can tell you once got hurt here.

What?

You aren't satisfied?

No.

This is the mark left by my hero.

I want to have a scar

as a souvenir.

A souvenir?

Do you want your hero to sign it for you?

Good idea .

Where do you think is the best place for him to sign?

This way or…

You are

out of your mind.

What's wrong with you, hero?

Who bullied you?

Tell me.

I'll take revenge for you.

Who dares to bully her?

It's good that she doesn't bully others.

I think it's probably

she has been

eating wildly again.

Ku Lianzi.

What kind of medicine do you prescribe

for Wanchan?

Why I would have a strong reaction

after eating it?

You drank the medicine I prepared for Wanchan?

I prescribed it for her to get prepared for pregnancy.

You two have totally opposite constitution.

Of course you'll have problems

if you drin k this.

Plus you can only take rouge pills,

not the other things.

I've told you many times.

Why don't you listen to me?

How could you make such a stupid mistake?

That's the medicine for pregnancy.

I' m in a devastating situation

where I could try anything.

Hero.

Do you want me to give you a massage?

Don't come over.

Or I may hurt you again.

If you give me one more slap,

I will

surely fulfill your wish .

Come on.

No.

This way.

Get away.

Your Ladyship!

Your Ladyship.

Your Ladyship.

Is this true?

Absolutely true.

That's great.

That's great.

Amitabha.

That's blessing from heaven.

Shaosang.

I know you're here blessing us.

Our Jiang family

won't end up without offspring.

My Lady, stop embroidering.

You've made so many.

Master can't even use all of them.

Shuigui Jiao has been waiting outside long.

Shuigui Jiao?

He's here again ?

Yes, to deliver the medicine.

Go tell him

to leave.

I don't want to drink the medicine today.

Then I'll leave.

The truth about Mt. Vulturesoar 11 years ago.

Master.

Are you interested?

Tomorrow at noon.

Let's meet at the Five Lakes Inn in the south of the city.

Five Lakes Inn

Wait here.

Yes, Master.

You are?

Master.

Welcome.

I think we've known each other for a long time .

I wonder if you remember

the stormy day when the battle happened

at Mt. Vulturesoar 11 years ago?

Since you

dare not show your true face.

You must have an ulterior motive.

Just go ahead.

I've been confused

about one thing over these years.

I wonder what made you

kill your own son

eleven years ago?

I am the Master of Wulin.

I want to defend the justice of Jianghu

instead of the Diurnal Heart Sutra.

Before I hand over the Dragon Seal to you,

I' m the real Master of Wulin.

If I don't give it to you,

you can't snatch it.

Everyone in the world knows that

Shaosang

was killed by the devil

Boye Jingxing.

Master, I'm impressed.

You're always go-as-you-please

no matter what you say or do.

Let's not beat around the bush.

What do you want from me?

I want to borrow the Dragon Seal

of the Master of Wulin.

That's not possible.

Master.

Aren't you afraid?

Aren't you afraid that the world will know the truth?

And the reputation of Amberverde Mansion will be tarnished

and your grandson

will turn against you?

There is no proof.

Who will believe your nonsense?

You wanna do this the hard way?

Come in.

Master.

Greetings.

I really didn't see anything.

Master.

You're still alive?

I was quite lucky.

I didn't fall to death.

And I'm still alive.

Master.

What else can you say?

You're good.

I can give the

Dragon Seal to you.

At 1 pm tomorrow,

put the Dragon Seal

at the back door of Amberverde Mansion.

If

you still haven' t figured it out by then,

I won't be kind to you.

A one-eyed person went out just now.

Did you see him?

Yes, My Lord.

Keep an eye on him.

Yes, My Lord.

Tell me.

What do you want today?

Jing.

I heard

you're not feeling well these days.

Not feeling well?

No, I'm not.

Is there any liquor here?

Jing.

You can't drink anymore.

It's not good for the baby.

The baby?

Yes.

I've made all t he arrangements

for your future life.

You'll have someone to take care of everything.

Grandma.

You must be mistaken.

I'm not pregnant.

You're not pregnant?

I made a mistake?

That's right.

You must be mistaken.

I cannot

make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Jing.

Just say it if you have something to say.

Don't touch me.

You have to ask me

about pregnancy.

What's your solution?

Teach me.

I do so need to

have a child now.

Grandpa.

Qingliu.

How's the investigation of

Boye JIngxing's whereabouts going?

Um...

Still no clues.

You must

take it seriously.

Yes.

I'll do as you asked to.

But, Grandpa...

I 've had

a real bonus recently.

What is it?

About the woman who attacked us at the Reclining Buddha Temple

and at the succession ceremony that day,

when she

retreated from the temple that day,

I secretly sent someone to follow her.

Although these people were secretive in their movements,

we still found a clue.

They suddenly disappeared

when they entered the Yin-Yang Clan.

This shows that…

The Yin-Y ang Clan is a cult.

It has always been an enemy of justice of Wulin.

It's not surprising.

What matters the most

is to capture Boye Jingxing.

You have no idea

how many people are

keeping an eye on our family.

If we can' t catch him,

even the righteous sects in Wulin

will be pressuring our family

to the point that we can't even breathe,

let alone the Yin-Yang Clan.

Grandpa is right.

I was negligent.

Once you capture Boye Jingxing,

you' ll become the real Master of Wulin.

The Dragon Seal

will be passed down to you.

Then you will be able to control Jianghu.

I understand.

You may leave.

Yes.

Did you find him?

Kill him.

As you wish.

Villain.

Villain?

Are you stuck?

What's wrong?

Someone wants to kill me.

Yue Nanting wants to kill me.

They all want to kill me.

It's okay.

Stop crying.

All right.

Don't be afraid. It's okay.

It's okay. It's okay.

Sleep now.

Don't go.

Stay with me for a while.

Okay.

Don't cry.

You're called Villain because of your old age.

Who can kill you?

Besides,

you've already killed so many people.

You deserve it even if you're killed.

All right.

Sleep now.

Why aren't you afraid of me?

I'm at least the Master of Wulin.

If you are tired, go to sleep.

I don't need you to serve me here.

Why do you come in?

How dare you.

I'm the wife of the Master.

How dare you barge in?

Please eat something, My Lady.

I have my own maids to take care of me.

My master ordered me to take care of you.

I'm just following my master's order.

If…

You can go.

If you don't want to eat,

please take the medicine.

I don't want to drink it .

Please, My Lady.

Can't I drink it later?

Please drink it.

Okay, okay.

I'll drink it.

I will.

I hope you understand

that it cannot be done in one day.

But I have to listen to

whatever people say.

Maybe that's my nature.

No.

No one's nature should be like this.

You should be brave.

You know that.

This family can smother a person.

I've got a coffin ready,

waiting quietly to die.

Why do you come to save me?

Because I can't bear to

see you struggling here.

I meant to help you achieve your wish as soon as possible.

But now it seems

all in vain.

That's right.

I thought that everything would be better

after I give birth to a baby.

Now it seems that

I was too naive.

The Jiang family

has never treated me as a human being.

No.

I won't allow you to think of yourself like that.

I've been thought a lot these days.

If I had Qingliu's kid,

he would've to grow up just like Jiang Qingliu,

undergoing the cruel training to be an heir.

Is this really the life

I've been longing for?

It's like

a hell!

Go tell Ku Lianzi to stop

prescribing medicine for me anymore.

But my master is a man of his word.

Since he promised

he would help you to recuperate.

There's no reason to stop halfway.

I have no right to say no?

Leave now.

Now!

Master Jingxing is asleep?

Why are you here?

When did you get here?

I've always been here.

It's just that you didn't see me

when you entered just now.

Why didn't you go in and take care of her?

She wouldn't want me

to see her like this now.

"Like this"?

She's already in this state.

What else can she look like?

Jiang Qingliu.

Remember.

Even if being trapped in the Jiangs' dungeon

for 30 years,

300 years or even 3,000 years,

Boye Jingxing

will always be Boye Jingxing.

Boye Jingxing is just a name.

Are these four words

that important to her?

What about the name of “the Master of Wulin”?

What does it mean to you?

Even though Boye Jingxing is still the same.

But

Jianghu

no longer belongs to her.

Five Lakes Inn

Shh.

Your face.

Villain, don't laugh.

Get down to business.

Chuan Huadie.

Hero, you're cheating.

I can't beat you anyway.

Yet you're riding him now .

We can both stop using lightness skill.

Okay.

This way of fighting

is very peculiar.

Boye Jingxing!

Oh no.

You...

You kidnapped me.

No, no.

How is it possible?

I'm here to save you.

Villain Boye!

Don't talk to me.

I'm so light-headed.

I feel like my head is in a whirl!

The good plan was ruined by you.

Hero, I'm wronged.

I didn't know you' re serious.

What?

If I were seri ous,

how could you still be alive?

Let go.

It's you who won't let go.

You first.

I've already let go.

Hero, cheer up.

Hold on, we can win.

We need you to deal with

Jiang Yintian in person.

Jiang Yintian is a rat,

taking reputation more important than his life.

But what if he refused?

If he wanna do it the hard way,

I would make him suffer.
